  • How to backup new learned remote-control data for the IR-remote APP???

    Hello @ all,
    does anybody know a way to backup the new learned remote control on XPERIA Z Tablet?
    I found a database under:
    "system/vendor/etc/sony-ir-remote/db"
    But after I've saved new learned remote controls the date and the size of these DB's
    are the same as before. Therefore the IR-remote control APP dosn't save the new data
    in these files.
    Furthermore there isn't a button in the remote-control APP to backup new learned remote controls.
    And I can't choose the remote control APP in the backup function APP from the XPERIA Z Tablet
    to save the data. Also the backup with the Sony PC Companion Software dosn't save the learned
    remote controls. Who develops such a dross mobile software?
    Sorry SONY, but you have the most unpalatable support I've lived to see!
    The first SONY support center refered me to another support center.
    The mobile support center does not answer to my questions per mail.
    Then I call the mobile support center. The answers were shallow and standard.
    The support engineer want to ask the development and call back.
    However, I am still waiting for promised recall.

    I am facing the same problem.
    I have spend a few days to configure and train my Sony tablet to configure for all my remotes such as aircon and lighting. I did a backup using the Sony companion to my PC. When my tablet was faulty and serviced. But the backup did not recover the IR remote settings and codes which I programmed previously. I also tried your backup restore app but it also does not save the configuration.
    It is VERY IMPORTANT for me to backup the settings.
    Please provide the folders and path of where the IR REMOTE settings and personal configuration and codes trained were kept so that I could back them up. Are these path protected area that required rooted access?
    Hope that Sony could update the app to include backup of new trained codes and settings and in the meantime to provide a procedure of how to backup the setting and trained IR codes with or without rooting the device.

  • Various Queries from a new learner of SAP

    Hello Gurus,
    I have some queries. I am very new to SAP and just trying to explore different things. I would be grateful if I can get some help from the experts like you. These queries may sound silly but I really need to learn these things.
    a. If you could provide me with some documents for configuration of US taxation.
    b. Explanation about COBRA
    c. what does it mean when someone says " I have maintained time evaluation schema TM04 for negative recording"?
    d. steps for configuration of off-cycle payroll activities.
    e.what does it mean when some one says "I have integrated with personnel administration using the reports RHINTE20, RHINTE30?
    f. if you could provide me with some documents for ESS configuration.
    g. steps for creating line layout of remuneration statement.
    h. How can we maintain "date types for date monitoring, date specifications, infotypes for hire date, service dates and terminatin date"?
    i. How can we configure time types, processing types and time wage type selection rules?
    j. what are processing classes?
    k. steps for configuring data entry profiles for CATS for employees entering time data into CATS
    l. What are "remittance rule, order types, adjustment model for the disposable net?
    j. How can be creat and assign forms to letter types in payroll?
    k. What are  inbound and outbund interfaces in Benefits?
    l.  what are vesting and investing in benefits?
    m. how can we customize benefits and payroll integration?
    I know these are too much questions for a single time; but I just got excited when I came to know about this website. This is the first time I am exploring this website. I didn't know I can learn from forums where there are so many experts to help you.
    Thank you all in advance!

  • New learner - maybe??

    I'm using a book from library Sams Teach Yourself Java 2.
    However the disk is missing???
    Where can i get the program? Is it downloadable? Does it cost anything?
    Kinda stuck just reading the examples.
    Oh, sure I could go buy a new book I suppose---duh

    That CD also had JBuilder 2 on it (unless it's a newer edition). The foundation edition of JBuilder 4 can be downloaded from borland for free (OK, you'll need to go through the registration form) but I wouldn't do it... 1) there is no uninstall program, 2) it is better to first learn the language, then try to learn to use the complicated tools, 3) I prefer sun's Forte for Java...
    So I recommend coding the very first apps with Notepad or some other text editor and compiling them from command line... At least that's how I started.

  • Basic CSS question. New learner

    I am just learning CSS and HTML and I have a basic question. How can I make my float left div's expand down for content? I have a wrapper and within my wrapper I have 3 columns all floated left with margins added to them, I ommited height so that my columns can expand as I add stuff to it. I have content on my columns, but instead of wrapping the content down as I add...the div's are expanding and dropping below each other because there is no space for them. I tried clearing, but I am not sure I understand the clear property well so I stuck "none" in there for now. Here is my HTML and CSS:
    <body>
         <div id="wrapper">

    This is what I am seeing on my display in Dreamweaver. As you can see, these rectangular elements are my div's. They are supposed to line up side by side, but my "content" isn't filling my div's properly, but rather expanding them causing my div's to drop down below each other.
    Thanks for any input.

    It would be much easier to advise you if you could post a URL for a site or page.
    Height and CSS is a bit of mystery to me but the most simple principle is that content is the way to give an element height.  There are ways around it and you might like to Google "Faux Columns CSS" or something like it.  The principle is that you construct an image that is a slim band of color that align with your intended columns.  You apply that image as a background in you CSS and set it to repeat down the page.  Then as your content grows or differs the graphic takes care of that.
    There are other ways such as using positioning and javascript but they are more complicated.

  • A New Learner Stuck in one problem

    Hi,
    I ahve just started leaning JAVA. I have written one code but getting some error. Can any body help me out in debugging and explaing the cause of the error:
    Thanks in advance,
    Rhushi.
    The error is pasted after the code.
    Code:
    class SetEmployee {
         int empno;
         SetDate dob;
         String name;
         static int count;
         static {
              count=0;
         public SetEmployee()
              ; //this(name,dob=new SetDate(),empno);
         public SetEmployee(String n, SetDate d,int en)
              empno=en;
              dob=d;
              name=n;
              count++;
         public String toString(){
              return ("\nSerial No : "+ count +"\n Name of the Employee : "+ name +"\n His Employee Number is : "+ empno +"\n And his date of Birth is : "+ dob);
    public class Employee {
         public static void main(String[] args){
              SetEmployee e1=new SetEmployee("Rhushi",(new SetDate(28,11,1980)),746);
              System.out.println("The information of the Employee is "+ e1 +"\n");

    this(name,dob=new SetDate(),empno);
    Employee.java:12: cannot reference empno before supertype constructor has been called
    this(name,dob=new SetDate(),empno);*/Every class inherits (implicitly) from the Object class. Every class is constructed like an onion,
    from the inside out, layer after layer. First the super class object is constructed (the inner layer)
    and finally the current object is constructed.
    A constructor can have two types of first statements --
    1) and explicit call to this( ... ), i.e. another constructor or
    2) a call to super( ...), i.e. a call to a super constructor.
    If you don't explicitly supply 1) or 2), the compiler supplies a call super(); as the first statement
    of the constructor.
    You supplied a call to this( ... ) in your constructor. The compiler 'knows' then that a call to
    any super constructor hasn't been called at that point, but you supply those member fields of
    the current class as parameters to the other constructor. The inner layer hasn't been constructed
    yet, so the outer layer (where those member fields reside) doesn't even exist yet; hence the
    compiler diagnostics.
    If member fields are not implicitly initialized, they take a value '\0', 0, 0.0 or null, whichever value
    is appropriate for the type of the field. you could change your offending ctor to -- this(null, new SetDate(), 0); This has the same effect, by you're not referencing the (not yet existing) member variables anymore.
    kind regards,
    Jos

  • Pls advice correct sequence of learning SAP-ABAP

    I am a new learner in SAP-ABAP so just wanted to know the correct sequence of learning the things in SAP-ABAP and also I need to become technically strong . So just tell me how should I start? because my conpany is going to start implementation ecc 6.0 so all module consulting working six months in my company so pls advice correct sequence of learning the things with sap consulting.
    Thanks
    R.Sudhakar

    Hi R.Sudhakar
    There is no correct or incorrect sequence to any career. The most efficient way also depends more on your background and the opportunities available to you.
    If your company is going to start an SAP implementation does this mean you will be part of the project team? Or, are you trying to prepare yourself by self-learning and training to learn ABAP in hopes that you will get a job in that area?
    If you are working for your company your career path would be a bit different to SAP consulting. In both cases, if you are part of the team has your manager discussed training opportunities with you?
    What are you currently doing in your company at the moment? Are you already a developer and trying to learn ABAP instead? What research have you done so far?
    Regards
    Colleen

    I don't understand what this line is doing:

  • Solution Manager Learning Map http error 403

    Hi,
    I created a new learning map in solution manager using solar_learning_map, when I attempted to display the learning map in the web browser i received the following error.
    <i><URL> call was terminated because the corresponding service is not available.
    The termination occurred in system ISD with error code 403 and for the reason Forbidden.
    The selected virtual host was 0 .</i>
    If anyone else has experienced this error before can you please give me some guidance on resolving this issue.

    The Note exists in service marketplace. (Topic is Inactive services in the Internet Comm Framework).Here is the solution as per the Note.
    Solution
    Listed below are some services that must be activated in the system
    depending on the operational scenario:
    Support for the Internet protocol (HTTP, HTTPS and SMTP) in the SAP Web Application Server
    /default_host/sap/public/icman
    Note: After you have installed SAP Web Application Server, you must ensure that this service is activated in transaction SICF. Through this the ICMan process can (for example) make decisions concerning the distribution of HTTP requests to the corresponding server.
    Using load distribution
    with the message server
    /default_host/sap/public/icf_info
    /default_host/sap/public/icf_info/logon_groups
    /default_host/sap/public/icf_info/urlprefix
    with the Web Dispatcher
    /default_host/sap/public/icf_info
    /default_host/sap/public/icf_info/icr_groups
    /default_host/sap/public/icf_info/icr_urlprefix
    Using Business Server Pages (BSP)
    /default_host/sap/bc/bsp/sap
    /default_host/sap/bc/bsp/sap/system
    /default_host/sap/bc/bsp/sap/public/bc
    /default_host/sap/public/bc (available for 620 with Support Package 34)
    /default_host/sap/public/bc/ur (available for 620 with Support Package34)
    /default_host/sap/public/bsp/sap/public
    /default_host/sap/public/bsp/sap/public/bc
    /default_host/sap/public/bsp/sap/system
    /default_host/sap/public/bsp/sap/htmlb (as of Release 620 Support Package SAPKB62026)
    Note: In addition to these general BSP services, you still have to activate the corresponding application services in the ICF tree. The service for the application is generally found under the ICF node /default_host/sap/bc/bsp/sap/<application>.
    Using the BSP logon procedure
    /default_host/sap/public/bsp/sap
    /default_host/sap/bc/bsp/sap/system
    /default_host/sap/public/bsp/sap/public
    /default_host/sap/public/bsp/sap/system
    BSP test applications for troubleshooting
    /default_host/sap/bc/bsp/sap/it00
    /default_host/sap/bc/bsp/sap/sbspext_htmlb
    /default_host/sap/bc/bsp/sap/sbspext_xhtmlb
    /default_host/sap/bc/bsp/sap/htmlb_samples
    As of Release 6.30:
    /default_host/sap/bc/bsp/sap/bsp_verificatio
    Using Business Information Warehouse (BW)
    /default_host/sap/bw
    Web Applications
    /default_host/sap/bw/BEx
    /default_host/sap/bw/Mime
    Reporting agent preliminary calculation
    /default_host/sap/bw/ps
    Drag and Relate in the portal
    /default_host/sap/bw/dr
    Data access using XMLA
    /default_host/sap/bw/xml and all subordinate subservices
    Document integration in the BEx Analyzer and Web Applications.
    /default_host/sap/bw/doc and all subordinate subservices
    Formatted reporting
    /default_host/sap/bw/ce_url
    Assignment of SAP icons
    /default_host/sap/public/bc
    /default_host/sap/public/bc/icons
    /default_host/sap/public/bc/icons_rtl
    /default_host/sap/public/bc/webicons
    /default_host/sap/public/bc/pictograms
    Assignment of Web Dynpro ABAP (WDA) applications
    /default_host/sap/bc/webdynpro
    /default_host/sap/public/bc
    /default_host/sap/public/bc/ur
    /default_host/sap/public/bc/icons
    /default_host/sap/public/bc/icons_rtl
    /default_host/sap/public/bc/webicons
    /default_host/sap/public/bc/pictograms
    /default_host/sap/public/bc/webdynpro/* (ssr, mimes, and so on)
    /default_host/sap/public/myssocntl
    Note: In addition to these general WDA services, the corresponding application services in the ICF tree also need to be activated. The service for the application is generally found under the ICF node /default_host/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/<application>.
    Assignment of Web Dynpro ABAP (WDA) development environment
    /default_host/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/public/bc/viewdesigner/
    /default_host/sap/bc/wdvd/
    /default_host/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/configure_application
    /default_host/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/configure_component
    /default_host/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/wd_analyze_config_appl
    /default_host/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/wd_analyze_config_comp
    /default_host/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/wd_analyze_config_user
    Note: These ICF nodes are used for the WDA configuration editor ONLY. The nodes are only allowed to be active in a development system, and under no circumstances in a production system (due to a security risk).
    WDA test applications for troubleshooting
    /default_host/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/wdr_test_events
    /default_host/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/wdr_test_ui_elements
    /default_host/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/wdr_test_table
    /default_host/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/wdr_test_popups_rt
    ICF test applications:
    /default_host/sap/bc/echo
    Among other things, this service returns information about the registration procedure being used, the header and form fields, and the generated SSO cookie for the executed request. Therefore, this service should only be activated for troubleshooting purposes.
    /default_host/sap/bc/error
    This service generates some error situations in the system and should only be activated for troubleshooting purposes.
    /default_host/sap/bc/srt/xip/sap
    You want to fix the Web service error message "Could not determine WSDL address (ICF_ERROR), SRT_REG038" in connection with XI services.
    Using Support Package SAPKB62006, the following problems were solved in connection with inactive services:
    The "RAISE_EXCEPTION" ABAP runtime error no longer occurs for an inactive host.
    The error text "Forbidden" was replaced with "Service is not active" for an inactive service.
    Thanks

  • IllustratorCC 2014 What's New window

    Check out this crazy look I get on the "What's New" window in Illustrator2014!
    Any ideas?
    Using MacPro OS 10.7.5   2 x 2.66 Ghz Dual-Core Intel Xeon  8GB ram

    Thank you Yankee Rebel/Tony.
    I duplicated what you did, and it worked for me, too.
    I'd been having the same issue with my Mac Pro 1,1 (built Nov 2007), running Mac OS X 10.7.5 Lion, with ATI Radeon X1900 XT display card.
    Adobe staff member Sumit Sinh referred me to this discussion thread, of which yours was the final entry.
    Before finding this thread, I had created my own discussion (10/6/2014) here in the Adobe Communities:
    Has anyone else encountered a distorted/skewed Ai CC 2014 Welcome screen?
    https://forums.adobe.com/message/6805129#6805129
    My final entry in that discussion was this:
    Sumit, THANK YOU for your follow-up. It certainly is appreciated!
    I visited the thread you provided the link to (above) [https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1512827], and duplicated the steps described in the final entry, by Yankee Rebel on August 6, 2014, which is:
    Thanks for your response but the problem is no longer a factor. I went to Applications/Adobe Illustrator CC 2014/Adobe Illustrator.app/Contents/MacOS/CEP/extensions and removed "com.illustrator.welcome" folder. That stopped it.
    I was having a seize-up problem in In-Design upon launch. It would boot but then freeze when the "welcome" screen popped up. I also deleted the welcome screen docs from In-Design in much the same manner as described just above for Illustrator. It then ceased to be a factor.
    A note about the navigation route (Applications/Adobe Illustrator CC 2014/Adobe Illustrator.app/Contents/MacOS/CEP/extensions):
    In case anyone else makes use of this, be aware that when you get to "Adobe Illustrator.app" you have to hold down the Control key when you click on the app. The Control key reveals, among other options, "Show Package Contents." Select that, and then the "Contents" folder; then follow the rest of the navigation directions.
    The above worked for me; no more Welcome window (distorted or otherwise).
    Although that window is desirable for its links to New Features, those can be accessed via Illustrator's main menu > Help > Illustrator Support Center. That will take you to the Illustrator CC page on the Adobe website, where you will see these links:
    "Overview," "What's New," "Learn & Support," and "Download."

  • New MVC with Standard Tags and DB sample

    I have posted initial build of a new learning application on
              SourceForge "basicPortal" under CVS
              http://cvs.sourceforge.net/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/basicportal/basicportal
              It is using Struts with Standard Tags and X: Transform from DB, Realm
              base security, CURD, etc. etc. I have big plans for this, to be 20% of
              code that gets used 80% of time and "faces" and expression language
              compliant.
              (Err.. this build is not for newbies, but I will update it .... a lot
              and often.)
              To keep up on this and related topics, there is a mail list
              http://www.netbean.net/mailman/listinfo/mvc-programmers
              that also gets you password to other baseBeans.com features.
              and a newsgroups readers news.baseBeans.com.
              Hope you like,
              Vic C.

    Looking at the XFILES.5.xml file and Install.vbs files of the XFILES installer, it appears that the XDBPM_SUPPORT and XFILES_DBA_TASKS actions will only be run if you enter a SYSDBA user in the "DBA User" field of the installer. However, for some reason, Oracle seems to have commented out the command that checks to ensure that the DBA user you entered is a SYSDBA user, and the "DBA User" field defaults to SYSTEM, which is not a SYSDBA user. Since I got things working I haven't tried rerunning the installer with a SYSDBA user, but maybe it will work better. The installation documentation and/or the installation scripts need to be updated to reflect the need for a SYSDBA user.
    Regarding the APEX version of XFILES, this has not installation instructions whatsoever, and there are prerequisite steps to get this to install correctly as well. I tried importing the f102.sql file into APEX and it failed on the prereq validation because an "XFILES/Apex" folder wasn't found in XML DB. I went looking for anything that creates this directory and I found that there is another XFILES_DBA_TASKS.sql script specifically for the APEX version. It is included in the f102.sql file. So I cut and paste the contents into SQL*Plus and ran it as SYS. I was then able to install the f102 application.

  • Does Snow Leopard Come Installed on the new MBP's?

    I read on here that Leopard and Snow Leopard need to be installed once the computer arrives. Is this true? Meaning that the OS X Snow Leopard is not already installed on the notebook when it arrives! That can't be.
    Also, if I purchase One-on-One at thid Apple Store, it mentions (or I heard fro someone that I can use the 1st class or whatever it is called to get help with installing programs, migrating from the old to the new, learning a little about the SL OS, etc.? I hope this is good for people who purchase the notebook from the online Apple Store too. It has to be, right? Yeah!
    Finally, any recommendations on heavy-duty external 500 GB max most likely with the option of USB 2.0 or FW 400 or 800. I would rarely be using the FW 800 until after I graduate.
    Thanks!

    It can be but may not be true. Apple frequently ships existing inventory made before the latest OS is released (& thus does not have it installed or on the system discs) with what is known as a "drop in" disc, so named because it is dropped in the product box & the box resealed before being sent to retail outlets or to customers for direct sales. Once this inventory is gone, all new units will be shipped with the new OS installed (& on the system discs), until then you may get the new OS in one or the other form.

    *One to One* is a separate purchase & includes personalized help for everything you mentioned. Read about it at http://www.apple.com/retail/onetoone/.

    What is best for you depends on what you mean by "heavy-duty" & how long it will be before you graduate. Do not expect current hard drives to last more than five years (although many will), so figure this into how long you would be using it after purchase. With the current trends in capacity vs. cost, you will probably be able to buy in two years a drive several times as large as a 500 GB one for cheaper than whatever you pay now, so figure that in as well.
    In general, Seagate has a good reputation for longevity (mostly perhaps because of its 5 year warranty on some models). The drive products from Other World Computing are also highly regarded. Personally, I like Buffalo drives, mostly for their low cost, & because I plan on replacing/adding new external drives every 1 ½ to 2 years.
    If by heavy-duty you mean mechanically rugged, check out the portable drives marketed for portable use & that characteristic -- some have shock resistant cases & contain hard drives with higher g-force shock ratings than is usual.
