New line with BT

Hi all,
I've recently had my phone line and broadband with Sky cancelled, which are now inactive.
My phone line was on Sky's own network.
I have ordered a new line with BT today and have been given an activation date of 07 May. There will be no engineer attending and there was no connection fee.
My broadband was apparently due to be removed from my old Sky line on 13 May.
My questions are:
Is this simply a physical changeover from Sky to BT at the exchange?
Will I be able to order broadband on the new line even though the broadband has not yet been removed from my old line?
Might seem like silly questions, but I'm definitely not a techie!

It sounds as if it is still on BT's network... as the date is very quick and there is no engineer required.
It's a simple changeover.
Regarding broadband, you won't be able to reorder that until your line is back up and running and there are no 'tags' left on the line... best wait till 8th May to check to see if you can get broadband.

You can do whatever you want to the text area to make it look like a label:
setBackground(...);
setForeground(...);
setBorder(...);
setEditable(...);
Its all there in the API.

New Line with File Content Conversion

I have a interesting question, I need to add a new line in the middle of a flat file. I read an idoc and using content conversion I convert it to a flat file. Is there any way I can divide the idoc into 2 parts separated by a new line?

In my opinion using the regular FCC method I guess it will be not possible to create a new line in the middle of flat file. You can take the help of java mapping as described in bleow mentioned blogs to convert it into flat file. I am not sure but you can try with these options...

Replace new line with dot

Hi,
One of the fields is the flex field. In the xml it is like below -
<SORT_FIELD1_INV>110

0000</SORT_FIELD1_INV>
I want to replace this new line in between with '.' and the output in excel should be
000.000.110000.0000.0000
I tried using the <?xdofx:replace...
but could not get the result.

Solution is:

Note this only works for I think 10.1.3.3.1 or higher.
On 10.1.3.2.0 Build 87 you'll get:
Caused by: oracle.xdo.parser.v2.XPathException: Extension function error: Method not found 'chr'
Note I also tried the following which should work, but didn't do any translate!!

Add new line with sed

I try to insert a new lines after a model line with a sed command in a script ,like :
Before :

After :

new line 1
new line 2
I try something like this, but the newlinecharacter in not good understand :
sed -e"s/### model line#####/### model line#####\nnew line 1\nnew line 2/g" my.cnf

to append newlines using sed, do not do it on cmd-line, because the shell will interprete the script,
so put in 'sedcmd' something like:
#-------begin
/muster/a\
linea
lineb
linec
#---------end, note the last blanc line, is NEEDED!
this also works for 'i' insert
to change/delete blanc lines, you need to know what is a blanc line
sed 's/^$/:/g'
will replace blanc lines by ':'
sed '/^$/d'
will delete blanc lines
finally sed has troubles w/ special characters, but it is NOT a bug!

BAPI_SALESORDER_CHANGE add new line and conditions with a condition value

I am using BAPI_SALESORDER_CHANGE to add new lines to a credit memo. All works fine except that I can not seem to put a condition value on the new lines. The condition is created but with a value of 0. I can popluate the condition amount field, KBETR but not KWERT. BAPICONDX seems to only have the COND_VALUE field in it and not CONDVALUE as in BAPICOND. Does anyone have any idea how to do this? In the code below I just want to change the material on the first line of the credit memo and not add the condition. Then add new lines with the the condition.

Hi Kranti,
The reason, why you are not able to insert a new line in background could be that the maximum line size defined in attributes is already utilized. Thats why F7 doesn't work.
1- From main screen of PE51, select your pay slip, click on attributes and than click on change button.
2- Increase value in lines field and save changes.
3- Go to background and try to insert new line with F7 keyboard key.

How to insert line with values in ALV (CL_GUI_ALV_GRID)?

Does anyone know how to get control of new line inserted in ALV (I am using class CL_GUI_ALV_GRID) before the new line is shown to the user. What I want the user to see is not a completely blank line, but a new line with certain fields filled with data.
I have tried with ALL events in CL_GUI_ALV_GRID but without any luck. If I create my own user command and insert it in the alv menu I get control, but not with the standards. Why?

Add new line in the Flat file based on the field value

Following is my Flat File -
Customer X Y

1002 0 1
Based on the X and Y value I need to add new lines in the Flat file. If X>0 then add a new line with repeating row and Y>0 add again a new line with repeating row. If X or Y=0 then no need to add any repeating new line.
So, here for the above example I need output as-

1001 1 2

1001 1 2
1002 0 1
1002 0 1
Suggest how we can achieve this?

Long shot... Can an entry in Calendar add a new line in Numbers?

I am a photographer. I am setting up a very simple simple Job tracking spreadsheet. Column A is Job number, column B is Client, column C is Date, etc... One line per job type of thing.
When I get a job I am often not at the computer so I enter it on my iPhone in the Calendar app. Is there a way I can add some sort of flag in that entry which will then open my spreadsheet and add a new line with a new sequential job number and the Client and Date?
I realize that is probably asking for a lot but I thought I would at least ask, just in case...

This is a proof-of-concept Applescript that logs events from Calendar into a Numbers spreadsheet. It expects a spreadsheet to be open, it doesn't put new events at the bottom of the table or add new rows if needed, it doesn't move the event from the Unlogged calendar to the Logged calendar. It doesn't do any error-checking (it would fail if you didn't have a calendar called "Unlogged Jobs"). But I think it has potential.

Add new lines in BEx and drilldown character simultaneously in BEx

I have a problem with drilldown character in "Columns".
In constructing BEx-Query I need enter new lines.
In "Rows": a number of characteristics. New line consist of these characteristics.
In "Columns": wi have Key Figure (available for planning) in Strucrure AND character 0FISCPER.
0FISCPER is restricted by interval. When I run query, new lines are not displayed.
BUT when I "swap axes" - new line is available.
In standart I cannot do how I want.
The first solution is:
Put new line with "#" and NULL. In query properties in tab "Rows/Columns" activate Supress Zeros.
Can you help me to find another solution, when I do not have to initialize data?

No, it is not possible to extend, but If you are using Excel (BEx Analyzer), you should be able to just enter new rows at the bottom of the Analysis Grid, and refresh to re-sort the rows.

Everytime an event occurs, i want to insert a new line, with date time stamp, details etc.
PROBLEM:
In the "value" property of the "write string" service operation... im inputting my relevant data but dont know how to indicate a new line
WHAT I TRIED:
I've tried every form of new line character i know: \n, \r, , \u0000a, \u0000d, ACSII, CRLF, etc, etc... none of them works.
WHAT I FEAR:

Can I use a BOGO free phone to activate a new line?

I have 2 phones, both eligible for upgrades. Son #1 needs a new phone and has selected a phone that has a BOGO offer. My wife likes her phone and does not want to upgrade it, but it is time to get son #2 his first phone. Can I accept the BOGO as an upgrade for my wife's phone but activate as a new line when it comes in?

LOL - no worries on the "critical details" - sometimes you don't realize what a difference a simple detail can make....and why I ask you to post back if my answer doesn't make sense or needs more clarification. Upgrade questions are usually not simple...
