New logon language for Mini SAP

Hi everyone,
it is known that Mini SAP (SAP Netweaver 7.01 for ABAP) is delivered only in languages german and english. I´d like to add spanish to it and would like to know how to do this.
In transaction SMLT I´m getting error message "NLS configuration missing for language XX".

The "Poony Script" was not made up to leave the AS3, but to expand the capabilities of it in Flash.
The performance needs been studied carefully, and we get more than 80% of the performance of AS3, and it is still better and better that agent works in the API.
Yet even this year we will be launching version "Studio" to create files 'swf' directly from the browser.
We now know that more and more programs are becoming more complex, and the famous "Internet Cloud" is coming increasingly to everyone.
The need now is to make a compiler that runs directly from the browser without installing anything on your computer.
Who has vision of the future known as the "Poony Script" will be helpful.

Dynamic Logon language for Travel Expenses WD ABAP iViews

Hi,
Scenario:
We have customized standard Travel & Expenses WD ABAP components (FITV_FPM or so).
For them, my task is to create custom Portal navigation as follows: -
Top level nav = ESS
2nd level nav = Travel & Expenses
Detailed Navigation = # My Trips & Expenses
Create expense report
I have created above navigation by copying std WDA iViews from 'Cont provided by SAP' folder.
Task: -
- Create two roles, one for French users (FR) & other for remaining users (GLOBAL).
- For FR role, above two iViews & iViews that open on POWL toolbar button clicks, should be in FR language.
- For GLOBAL role, above two iViews & iViews that open on POWL toolbar button clicks, should be in EN language.
- I have changed 'Logon Language' property for both iViews in both roles accordingly.
Issue: -
- Only 1st iView, i.e. My Trips & Expenses and Create expense report open in respecting language (as set in iView property of each role).
- But all other iViews that open on 'Change, Delete, Copy' POWL toolbar button clicks, shows user's Portal language.
Any idea why this is happening?
I guess these POWL actions navigate to some pre-defined Portal location and open those iViews. Is this correct?
Is there any kind of table for Travel Management package in SAP where these Portal links are maintained?

Install errors for mini-SAP

I'm brand new to SAP and trying to get mini-sap installed on my laptop. I have been running into database issues that prevent a clean install of SAP and have now removed all instances of SQL server (Express, 05 and 08). The original errors dealt with sortorders and charsets.
Now I'm getting different but equally frustrating errors - "DBCOMMONDBENV_IND_MSS InternalColdKeyCheck:0 - Please install MS SQL Server before continuing the installation." As soon as I do that, I start getting errors for invalid instanceids and then uninstall and try again. It's a mad circle.
Any recommendations on how to install this?

MiniSAP comes AFAIK with MaxDB as database, not with SQL Server.

New dictionary language for iphone

I'm having a problem adding British English to my iPhone dictionary.

SSorry, I got cut off There.
IM trying to add British english to my iPhone dictionary. Heres what I've done so far.:
1 - i pressed a word in Safari so it highlighted.
2 - I chose 'define'
3 - on the definition page I clicked 'manage' in the bottom right corner
4 - I clicked the cloud symbol to the right of 'British English'.
I Thought this would download the British English dictionary. Instead a circle is displayed but no download is taking place. Is there some step that I am missing out? Do I need to download the dictionary elsewhere so that it is available?

MII ignores SAP ERP logon language settings

Hi everybody,
I have currently a problem with the logon language of MII (to sap erp).
I call a function module with rfc and I get standard error messages in englisch which is not really a problem for me but the messages are saved and a user has to look at them.
What I did: I changed the logon language in MII SAP server editor to "DE" but the messages are still in english. If I call the function module direct in SAP with my user with the german logon language the error messages are saved in the german language.

yes they are set to DE (we tried it also without an language setting - default of our SAP system is DE).
The BAPI_MESSAGE_GETDETAIL helps us a lot, thank you for that, but it is not very nice. We don't need it in a different language we always want it in the german language.
As a workaround we will now ask if sy-langu = 'E' call BAPI_MESSAGE_GETDETAIL in our function module with language 'DE'. That is not really nice but it works.
So if you have another idea what there could be wrong it would be glad to hear from you.

Min SAP installation procedure

Follow these steps:
you should enough space in your C drive (20gb)
1) Install OS(Windows XP)
2)Install Microsoft Loopback adapter - Goto Control panel->Add new hardware->Choose Network adapter ->Microsoft loop back adapter.
3)Goto My Network places, you can able to see LAN. Give IP address.
4) First install Kernal CD for that you have to click R3SETUP.exe(don't know exactly, but setup file start with R3SETUP) file in your , it will ask you Data1 cd and then Data2 CD.
5)Finally again it will ask kernal CD.
6)Finally install GUI.

Error while installing Mini SAP Basis system 4.6D test suite

Hi Gurus,
I am getting error while installing Mini SAP Basis system 4.6D test suite on my laptop. I trying to install this version under Windows Xp. I tried so many times to rectify this error but no use. i followed the instruction in the readme file.The error is below in quote.
"InstController MakeStepsDeliver:108 connection to GUI of installation tool has been cut off.Installation has been stopped."

Convert language to logon language

hi abap masters,
myrequirement is to convert the language of the data displayed in the report to the logon language
for example if the logon language is china material no MATNR should display in chinese
any idea how to do this

Hi,
If u want to convert report headers and other output texts other than data then u can create text-elements for them and u can translate these text elements from SE38 itself, from menu path Goto->Translation.
For data u cannot directly translate them but u can maintain language spacific entries in the text table for most of the cases. Like for material u cannot change the material no to Chinese but if u maintain Chinese text as description for the material in table MAKT. Then u can fetch them by providing the language option in the where clause of the select statement like :
Select MAKTX
from makt
where matnr = ...
SPRAS = sy-langu.
Now based on login language, material description will be fetched ans displayed (provided that language specific data is maintained in the table) .

Renew Mini sap license

Hello Gurus,
I know this question has to be under download form thread. But I couldn't find it. Sorry for that!!
i have requested sap for renewing my license key for mini sap.
They have provided me with mbs.txt file containing key.
And few system details.
Mini is 4.6 d version of mini sap.
I am not getting how to import the key present in file mbs.txt
Please help with the procedure.

Hi, very late reply.. but better late then never.
An alternate solution for Minisap R/3 4.6D version would be to simply install the license using the command prompt.
I actually found it quite simpler than installing it through SLICENSE, as I got "invalid" key error.

Problem in Logon to Mini SAP

Hello,
I have installed the Mini SAP with WAS 6.20 in my system, which has Windows XP. I was sucessfull in installing the Kernel CD and SAP GUI. So now the SAP logon icon appears on my desktop and i want to login. I have given the following details on it:
Description: Mini SAP
Application Server: hostname (as stated in the CD demo)
Systemnumber: 00(as stated in the CD demo)
So now the system appears on the logon and when i double click to the system to logon, it brings me an error.

Yes I did, but any how I have solved this problem. In SAP Logon the host name was wrong, it is not identical with my computer name.
Now I have another question, is this Mini SAP useful only for ABAP or can we use for Best practices for example Customizing HR, MM etc etc.
