New mac, can't authorize my old purchased music

I bought a new mac after my last one crashed, I am logged into itunes but it won't let me authorize my computer to play my purchased music. I am signed in to my account and have bought more music, but can't authorize songs I purchased on my last computer. When I enter my information the same screen pops up again and says to enter my information. My account name and password are correct because I can access my account info and the itunes store.

I have exactly the same problem, but with an added issue: This MacPro is the SAME one I used to have all my authorized music on, but after Apple repaired the heatsinks on my motherboard, iTunes thinks it's a new computer and won't authorize my old music.
Additionally, when the window asking me to authorize the old music pops up, it shows my old e-mail address, which is no longer in service. So now I'm wondering if I am supposed to log in with this old address. When I try to do that (I still know the password), it says I entered something wrong... but I can't have it send me my "forgotten" password for the old e-mail address, because it says it's going to send it to my old address!
I have no problem logging in with my new address, but when I try to "Authorize This Computer" under the Store menu, iTunes tells me this computer is already authorized. So why can't I access all that old music? We're talking almost 1,000 songs that I now can't play!

If you still have the old computer or a back-up of the purchases you simply need to copy the purchases over from the discs or drive they are currently on:

If you didn't make a back-up of your purchases to restore from (as you are advised to do) then I'm sorry to say that the policy on lost purchases is that you have to pay to download them again:

You could try contacting the iTunes Music Store Customer Service and you might be able to persuade them to sanction a second free download. There have been occasional reports in the iTunes forum of this happening, however just be aware that they are not under any obligation to do so. I had purchased music on my new computer from iTunes, and its gone now. What can I do to get it back? I have already tried following the steps online.

What steps did you use... The new iTunes does have a section that allows you to re-download past purchases. I actually used it the other day - yesterday in fact. It did work....

Cause if it only works with the newly bought MBP, I might aswell buy ML cause I want it on my older iMac too and install it on both my Macs.

You can install ML from the MAS on any apple branded computer that is tied to your apple id (you own).
So you can install it on your old computer, if it is an apple computer and if it is one of the models supported by ML in it's tech specs.
I'm sure there are a lot of people in line to get their code. They will get to you ASAP!

Go to the iTunes app on your iPhone. On the bottom tap Purchased. Once that loads, choose the Artist you just downloaded, then the album, then click the cloud icon. This will download the music to your iPhone and will not charge you for it.

Hi hopscotch,
Log into the iTunes store and do a search to find your previously purchased items. Click the "Buy" button, and put in the same iTunes id and password that you originally used to purchase. A dialogue box will come up indicating that you have already purchased this item and do you want to download it again for free....
Say yes, and it will be re-downloaded to your Mac.

I bought iTunes match and it shows my old Mac as a device, but I cannot access any of the old music. All I can find are what was on my iPhone, but that's not what I want. I need all my old music from my old Mac, which has been wiped clean by IT at my old job. BUT, I did have iCloud at that time and I thought all my music would be accessible through it. I don't understand the Cloud! And I'm thinking spending $24.99 on iTunes Match was a waste of money because I still can't access my old music.

When you are done with this issue, consider the computer back at the office may still
have access to your iTunes account, and it should be de-auhorized. You can do that
remotely, but be sure you carefully do not mess up your other computer iTunes libraries.

If you purchased all of the songs through itunes store, please follow these steps:
1. Open up Itunes and Click on Itunes Store
2. Once you're in the Itunes Store look to right side of the screen and you should see the word "purchased". Click purchased and you'll be sent to a purchase screen.
3. Click on "All Songs" and then it will show all the songs you've downloaded. From there you just hit the button that looks like a cloud with an arrow on it, and it will download all the songs all over again.

Using Time Machine, or any other such program, to transfer Adobe software from one machine to another works probably less than five percent of the time. Uninstall from your new machine. Run the cleaner tool (do a search for Cleaner Tool on this site if you don't know what it is). Then reinstall properly from original media or downloads.

Here's something I found out in the meantime, maybe this is interesting for somebody or maybe - problem's not totally solved - enough info for any of you to give me further advice.
When I start Logic Core Audio driver de-activated, I can open old songs. Then I save them in a new folder with all audio files and a new name. And I remove all EXS24 instruments as well as the Space Designer. I quit Logic, re-open with Core Audio activated and I can open the song.
Problem no.1: EXS24 instruments don't find the appropriate samples, but EXSMananger Pro did help me with this. Same problem with Space Designer, which doesn't find the impulse responses, connected to a certain preset.
Two questions, every idea would be great!
- Is there any way to teach Space Designer Presets where to look for impulse respones. I can load IR samples directly and create a new preset, but I can't use my old ones.
- Is it possible to install Logic from scratch over an existing version? Or how should I de-install everything connected with Logic and then install a fresh version from CD?
