New Macbook Pro 13" Retina Freezing

Hey,
I'm new to the world of Mac, but not computers. I recently have purchased a Macbook Pro and it has been doing well for me. Except I have one little issue, my macbook will sometimes freeze completely, mouse and keyboard have no effect, system will completely stop running, any sound from music/video stops. It's not a beachballing problem when programs stop responding, the whole system completely stops. This doesn't happend very often, but I am concerned that it might happen when I'm doing work that is unsaved.
It this a known issue for my macbook pro? I've done some googling and I can see they had an issue with keyboards and mice freezing, but that's not my issue. I have this feeling it's that my mac is running out of memory, how does OSX handle this situation, does it completely kill itself without warning? Windows will normally alert me first and I'll close down my browser and re open it again and that usually solves my problems (I usually have 70+ tabs open across 2 firefox windows, that have been open for days and memory usage does build up).

Do not install any software that purports to "free memory." Such software is worse than useless.

This Apple article may help you.
Other users have reported that leaving any USB device connected also prevents the problem. It's a workaround but not too onerous.

Actually your suggestions are the ones that i have tried. i have seen that you have tried to help others with this issue and the only one that i could find that said they found the problem said that it was an ilife update issue and it fixed it and i have no available updates. i know it has to do with something in photo stream because it happens when i create a new library and it is loading the photos but i get the message before i reach the maximum 1000 photos. so i've tried updating, new library(first backing up photos and then deleting them from iPhoto), reinstalling OSX many times, running disc utilities. I called Apple the first day i had this issue and i was the first person to call them for support with the retina display and i actually had it escalated to a senior advisor and we thought we fixed the problem but we did not. i am pretty fluent in dealing with troubleshooting these type of issues and this is the first time i'm reaching out to the community. i figured now that the retina has been out some time now that there would be an obvious answer to this issue. thanks for the quick reply.

Have a new MacBook Pro 15" retina. After login to my I tunes account I can't get it to download my apps library. A few have appeared but not all. Music is ok . Any ideas to help ?

There are many people suffering from this problem right now (including me). It appears to be a server issue. Just wait and try checking for updates again tomorrow.
Some things I have heard indicate that this may be a regional problem, though what parts of the world are affected I don't know yet. A few people have been helped by deleting the following preference file (paste the path into the Go -> Go to Folder window in the Finder to locate it), though most have not:
~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.SoftwareUpdate.plist
Note that if you are trying to download iTunes 10.7, that can be found here:

Also, note that there is no reason to be anxious to get it, as the only thing added in iTunes 10.7 is compatibility with iOS 6, which will not be available until the 19th, and the new iPhone, which will not be available until later as well. The new iTunes that was announced is iTunes 11, which is also not yet available.

Configure New TM on a New Macbook pro with retina display Issue

I have bought a new New Macbook pro with retina display laptop (Lion moutain OS)and a new TM (2TB).
I have an internet router with wireless connect.
I plugged TM to the router with an ethernet cable.
Connect my TM to my macbook with an ethernet cable.(at this point I still cannot see TM on my Mac)
then I choose Time capsule from WiFi as shown below:
Then the airport utility (version 6.1) opened and start configuring TM but it gives an expected error when it is starting to join the TM!!!!
I have reset the TM several time but with no hope.
PS: I can configure the same TM on a normal laptop with windows 7 installed and Airport utility 5.6
I am struggling on this issue for weeks and I cannot yous TM on my macbook pro.

Time Capsule .. TC is the hardware box you bought.. Time Machine is the software you use in the Mac computer.. so what you generally refer to as TM is really TC.. !!
I can configure the same TM on a normal laptop with windows 7 installed and Airport utility 5.6
That is great.. you do not need to setup the Time Capsule at all then. It is already setup.. forget using 6.1 utility.. it is useless toy version.
Just use it.. open Time Machine and see if you can connect to the TC drive to do backup.. and to the wireless.

You are trying to connect with both wireless and ethernet at once.. This can mess things up. choose wireless or ethernet.. not both.
If you keep running into issues.. reset the TC.. I know yet again.
Set it up using SMB names.. for both the TC itself and wireless.
Then lock the wireless channel for 2.4ghz.. use channel 1, 6, or 11 (13 in europe) and see how it goes.

Installing Windows XP on a new MacBook Pro with Retina Display.

I just purchased a new MacBook Pro with Retina display and need to install Windows XP on it so that I may run 3 Windows programs. I have watched a few videos on the internet on how to do this through Boot Camp Assistant, and it says at one point to use the driver CD from Mac to install the drivers. I did not get any CD's with my new MacBook Pro. I also saw on some of these boards that said Boot Camp does not support Windows XP. The people at the Apple store said it can run Windows XP, so I have ordered an original version.
Question 1. Does my MacBook Pro with Retina Display running OS X version 10.8.3 able to run Windows XP?
Question 2. How do I install the drivers?

Would this work? And also, what is the VM I need? Where do I get it?

I just bought a brand new macbook pro with retina one week ago and have used it twice. I noticed that I now have a scratch on the screen a small one yet a scratch. You can't feel it yet you can see a tiny black dot then what appears to be a small scratch.

The new MacBook Pro with Retina Display has a 2880x1800 resolution and is not going to work well with the current version of Firefox. I am running Firefox 14 Beta; is there any news on when you will update Firefox to be compatible with new display?

Many banks are Windows-centric and are concerned about blocking the Swiss cheese software holes. Apple people do not need that junk...and the overhead that comes along with it.

Migration should never be done with any Adobe program.
If you have done Migration, you have to UNINSTALL first (if even possible) and then download Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool and run that also. When this is done, restart your computer and install the programs from an original Adobe Installer.
Other question is, if your OS is supporting that version. You can try it, it is not officially supported, but it might work.
But CC will work, upgrade to CC2014 (without additional cost), use that as it is better anyway.

In which application? (There is no system wide punctuation.)
And how is the computer supposed to know what is the correct punctuation? For example "Let's eat, Mom!" versus "Let's eat Mom!" (Sort of depends upon whether your computer has weathered the zombie apocalypse, I guess.)
