New mail is showing up on my mac but not on my iphone?

I have my phone and mac synced on icloud. lately, my new emails are soing up on my 'mail' app on the mac but are not shoing up on my phone? this is very frusturating as i dont get to see any emails until i log onto my mac..
help!

iCloud includes as part of its suite of services Apple's free email service - it has nothing at all to do with any other email services you subscribe to.
To get another account on your device, you need to set that account up, using that account providers settings.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")
Providing you are simply updating your existing details and not changing to another account, when you delete your account, all the data that is synced with iCloud will also be deleted from the device (but not from iCloud), but will be synced back to your device when you login again.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your computer, you need to sign out of the account from your computer first, then sign back in using your updated details. (System Preferences > iCloud, click the sign out button)

Mail / iCloud rejects password on one mac but not the other

I have just upgraded my MacbookPro and my MacPro from 10.6 to 10.7.
For whatever reason - the MBP works fine and can access all my email accounts, whilst the MP is constantly rejecting the password for iCloud.
My Mobileme account was upgraded to iCloud several months ago and has been in daily use on both macs ever since.
The only difference in the upgrades is that the MBP upgrade was not a clean install, whereas the MP was installed with a clean hard drive and then all apps/data was transfered over.
Disk permissions have been repaired and that has made no difference.
Both macs are on the same network, with the same passwords and same account settings. Any suggestion how i can resolve this problem?

i solved the problem by adding a new mail account to Mail, re-inputting the email address and password, then deleting the old problematic one.

Mail account shows up in Account Settings, but not Sidebar after setting Global Inbox

Multiple Catch-22's here. I tried to change all of my accounts to a Global Inbox. I thought that I had moved all the mail from my Verizon inbox before I changed it to go to Global, but some of the sub-folders did not transfer either to the Global Inbox or the Email Backup folder that I created. Now the Verizon account does not show up on the start page sidebar, although it does show up on the Account Settings popup. It's in the Preferences file (I think - instructions were for Window7/Vista and I'm running Win8).
Mail sent to the Verizon mailbox is now properly stored in the Global Inbox (twice!) and I had archived all the 2014 and earlier mail, so all that I can't find is about half my 2014 Verizon messages. A test message sent to the new Comcast inbox shows up in BOTH Local Inbox and the Comcast Inbox.
Since I can't see the Verizon account on the main screen, I can't right-click on it and select Repair Inbox, as recommended elsewhere. Since it already exists on Account Settings, I can't just recreate the account.
Any ideas on how to Find the Phantom Verizon Account will be greatly appreciated.

Your not going to see the verizon account listed anywhere but in account settings as it not has no folders.
You will however find a folder on your hard disk in your profile folder.
Go to Help menu (alt+H) and select troubleshooting information
Click on the show folder button.
open the mail folder in the windows explorer program that opened.
Now open the one named for your Verizon server.
In that folder you will see files named for example inbox and inbox.msf.
The files with no file extensions are your mail. with filenames matching their original folder name in Thunderbird. There will be sub folders for each sub folder you have in Thunderbird with the respective name and an sdb extension. open those sdb folders to access the mail in those sub folders.
Now you have exact on disk locations for the mail, use the import export tools Chist1 mentioned to point to those locations to import mail.

ICloud outgoing mail works on my Mac but not on my iPhone

After adding my iCloud (.me and .icloud) mail accounts to OSX Mail I was then not able to send mail from the .me account. This was solved by manually adding the SMTP details.
But the problem is persisting on my iPhone with the same account. I have of course checked that the 'Sync Mail Accounts' button in iTunes is ticked, but this still has not fixed the issue.
Any ideas?

The real "me.com" account does not exist since me servers were retired in summer of 2012. Your actual server is icloud.com. So check if you can send emails from icloud.com email. If you can, you can always make sure that your recipient sees me.com email from you by changing "From" box in new mail. When you tap on that from email, you will see all the options, including me and icloud. If you do not see icloud, the way to add it to the phone is to go to settings on the phone, click icloud and turn on mail switch. I do not think you would be able to sync that mail account over itunes.

I had a shared mobileme account for my work calendar- 4 people sharing call using one set of calendars. It is on my mac but not on my iphone anymore...just 3 of my calendars went to icloud. Any idea how to get the calendars from a "family" mobileme?

I had a group account on mobileme...a family pack that each of us at work had an individual account and we all shared one account in the family. It kept our work calendar- a schedule telling who is in the office and who is on call. This is still on my macBook but not on my phone or my iPad. Any idea how I make my phone show the calendars on my MacBook? It was there before I went to iCloud.

If your email account offers a webmail access, I suggest checking the webmail - log in to your account using the webmail access, and I predict you will see all those "unread" emails there and can dispose of them from there.
This happens because the iPhone that went bad, when reading those emails, did not remove them from your email provider's servier.

Incoming iCloud mail appearing on my Mac but not on my iPhone

New iPod Touch shows extra podcasts on device but not in iTunes

My wife and I share iTunes account. We have always used to different computers mainly due to we each listen to different podcast, music, and books. Until now this has worked fine. Now with the new iPod (replaced iPod video) I am seeing her podcasts on my iPod. The whole point of different computers is to not see her stuff. Is there a way to stop this?

Most of my music library disappeared upon upgrading iTunes; it shows on the capacity bar but not in the iphone

How do I restore music, audiobooks and podcasts to my iTunes? only 2 albums remain, 2 songs, 2 artists, no books, no podcasts. and yet the capacity bar shows that all the music is still there. and they are all still on my computer. repeated attempts to sync individual categories (music, audiobooks, podcasts) have not worked. Please advise! many thanks in advace.

I just purchased an iPhone and downloaded the iBooks app. I see the shelves and the names of each shelf, but the books are not there. Can you plug the iPhone to the iPad?

No. You have to connect to iTunes to sync. You can also go into the settings and enable automatic downloads so each time a new book/app is installed on one it will load on the other device the next time you put it on.

USB disk connected to TC shows on one Mac, but not the other

Hi guys!
The Time Capsule works just great! I'm running it bridged in my existing network, with WiFi turned off.
And the USB disk shows fine on my Mac, but not on my colleagues' Mac. TC shows on both. What am I missing here?
The USB disk will serve as "file server" and will be backed up onto TC together with the macs.
Update: Whoa - now it suddenly shows up on both machines. Go figure.

Navigate to your Applications folder.
Right Click on iTunes and select Show Package Contents.
Navigate to Contents/MacOS/
Double-click on iTunes Helper(to get it running). This allows iTunes to start when you plug in your iPhone.
Open System Preferences and go to Users & Groups.
Select the Login Items tab to view the list.
Drag iTunes Helper from the Finder into the Login Items to get it to run at login.
Delete it from Login Items on the Mac you don't want it to start iTunes on.
