SAP eRecruitment - req.new Application wizard excl.for MBA candidates

Hi,
In our requirement client want to have a seperate link provided in their career pages for MBA Candidates (freshers), whereas it should be linked to SAP eRecruitment system. Based on their requirement created :
1.Defined Elements
2.Created seperate Container sequence and assigned elements to that container sequence
3.Defined a seperate Start Page for MBA candidate and in Application class defined it as external Application and assigned it to groups (In the start page groups created start page groups and assigned to Links)
4.In the role hrcf_cand_ext assigned that start page
5.Generated URLS and the URL got generated and when I went into that URL it displayed the reg.page and after reg..in the Personal page when tried to apply for the MBA jobs ( Job posting was done exclusively for MBA) and when it was clicked it took to the standard Application wizard instead of custom wizard defined exclusively for MBA.
Should I clone the standard BSP page and make the changes for MBA candidates ? or should I create a seperate template for the MBA?
Kindly share your thoughts of the configuration missed.

Please check if you have provided the correct context value while generating the URLs. While configuring the container sequence the context value that you have provided must be used while generating the URLs. Check that out and let me know.

Yes , I have created the correct context while generating the URL and even it goes to Log in page:

( I created a URL for MBA candidates)
But after registering and getting into the system when I apply for those MBA Postings it is not displaying the Application wizard defined for MBA candidate,instead it is showing the standard one defined.
1.Should I create a seperate Process Template for MBA candidate in the Portal ( with the id which has admin.rights to create a Process Template with the Questionnaire).
2. Where to provide that Application wizard link to those MBA positions?

Need a new phone, not eligible for upgrade.

My phone is horribly cracked and now the calibration is off. I need a new phone until I am available for an upgrade. Is there any way of buying another 5 for the meantime without entering into a new 2 year contract? I just need one for a couple of months until I am eligible.

You could get an out of warranty replacement as your device is damaged. It will cost you money but not as much as a new phone.

Should new Bootcamp be released for the New MBA?

Many people installed windows by bootcamp on the New MBA but most of them included me found no internet network. it is commonly explained that bacause the New MBA too new, bootcamp does not support wifi driver for it. I am waiting an update of bootcamp to experience windows on my New MBA. Come on Apple ^.^

That's what I did.
It's what I'm pretty sure I did too - but it didn't seem to help. The Touch swipes wouldn't work. So I'm back to square one for the moment. I may try going through the whole procedure again in the future if the reports of the driver turn out to be generally positive.

Opatch error with IBM AIX6.1 when upgrade from r12.1.1 to r12.1.2

I'm running E-Business Suite (Oracle Financials AR, AP and GL modules only) r12.1.1 on AIX 6.1. I clean install r12.1.1 from rapidwiz. I'm running one Apps tier and one database tier.
Now I perform the upgrade to r12.1.2, and I plan the route to be:

Please help to solve this problem. Is it also OUI problem? I have tried to upgrade opatch version, and it still cannot solve the problem.
I once tried patch 9216848, it makes the opatch work, but later when I finished installing this patch, I cannot see the forms as it says "magic number problem". Also the adworker always hangs when I do upgrade on R12.1.2 Patch 7303033. So I dun think it is a solution.

pgamax_size is a hidden parameter (why you need to set this one?).

I want to set the Database Initialiation File because in Database Preparation Guidelines (ID: 761570.1), it says that:
1. Before performing any Applications upgrade or maintenance operations, customers must add the following to the database intialization file to disable fast validation for PL/SQL recompilations:
disablefast_validate=TRUE
The line should be commented out during the normal operation of the Applications system.
2. Customers using Oracle iRecruitment on Oracle Database 11gR1 must add the following line to their database initialization file::
event="31151 trace name context forever, level 0x100"
Setting this event provides a fix for the issue reported in bug 6952870.
3. If you encounter the error:
ORA-04030: out of process memory when trying to allocate 822904 bytes (pga heap, kco buffer)
ORA-07445: exception encountered: core dump [dbgtfdFileWrite()+48]
set the pgamax_size initialization parameter to a larger value as follows: pgamax_size=104857600
and restart your database.
I wonder where I can modify these three parameters (which file to edit, and whether it is append / delete / modify values). Or I do not need to do these three points, or even I do not need to go through Database Preparation Guidelines (ID: 761570.1) because my database is 10.3.4 already?

New hardware wizard can't find creat

my Zen microphoto went on the blink. upon trying to reset it appears to be hosed. Downloaded the new firmware for it but when I use the script it says the device isn't plugged in. upon plugging it in no change, if I reboot the zen, the new hw wizard asks for the original cd or location. Can't find the cd is there another place i can go to get this driver or whatever is on the installation cd? Ithink once this system recognizes the device the fw load will be fine.

Here's what I did
1. Uninstalled EVERYTHING (& restarted PC)
2.Downloaded the latest iPod Updater AND iTunes from Apple's Site (I didn't use the enclosed CD this time!)
3. Installed the new iTunes
4. Installed the NEW iPod updater
5. Plugged in the iPod (after doing a "reset")
6. From then on..I have to open iTunes FIRST before plugging in the iPod..(I think it's a bug in their software..shocking..eh?...)..This worked for me..If I just plug in the iPod first..without opening iTunes first..well..don't ask...)

11i to R12 upgrade and Maintenance Wizard and the Maintenance Wizard Forum

MetaLink doc 215527.1 recommends using the Maintenance Wizard to upgrade from 11i to R12.
The Maintenance Wizard is extolled elsewhere in this Forum to replace the Upgrade Spreadsheet.
And it is referenced a couple times in the 11i forum.
But that's not much press considering Oracle's description below.
Also, all the Maintenance Wizard MetaLink docs below reference a Maintenance Wizard forum.
The forum contains excellent feedback including how to use Maintenance Wizard within a firewall.

But the Maintenance Wizard forum was Archived ~two weeks ago.
Some clarification would sure be useful.
What I'm actually trying to confirm is exactly what OAS or iAS or OC4J to use with it.

PS - To answer Tom's imbedded question (What I'm actually trying to confirm is exactly what OAS or iAS or OC4J to use with it.), please look at the Installation Guide (note 329476.1). In step 2 of the prerequisites, it states:
Maintenance Wizard version 2.x requires Oracle RDBMS 10g (10.2.0) with 10g iAS (10.1.3).

EBS upgrade from 11i to R12 using Maintenance Wizard question

I have installed Maintenance Wizard in development envrionment. I picked module to upgrade 11i to R12. When I am defining the node it not only picked up 11i nodes but required me to configure R12 nodes. So Do I have to to create upgrade file system(for R12) and then configured R12 nodes in Define nodes? My configuration is in In configuration at this time as I did not configured R12 nodes.
Please help me resolve this issue.

My question is which database oracle_home we have to consider to upgrade R12? and What about another one oracle_home?
When you run Rapid Install, provide the details of the already upgraded/installed 11.2.0.3 ORACLE_HOME.
For 11gR1 ORACLE_HOME which is installed by Rapid Install, please see (How to upgrade Oracle E-Business Suite from 11i to 12.1.1 and keep the existing 10g Database? (Doc ID 1345020.1)).

R12.1.3 - Pick release for batches completing in error during upgrade

Hi,
We are upgrading from 11.5.9 to 12.1.3. Pick release for batches fails with the following error message in log file.
The delivery lines given in the log file all have sub-inventory restricted items. We don't use WMS.
Any help/pointers greatly appreciated!
Scenario:

Batch pick release performed for sub-inventory "A". The program "Pick Selection List Generation" fails with the following error message.
Items on the failed delivery lines are sub-inventory restricted and assigned to sub-inventories "B", "C" & "D".

Can upgrade to R12 with Maintenance Wiz be combined with platform migration

Hello,
Planning to upgrade our EBS 11i instance to R12. The source and target application servers are different and database server remains same.
Source Instance
Apps Server Deatails
Name : A1
OS : Linux 32 bit (RHEL 5)
EBS version: 11.5.10.2
DB Server Details
Name: D1
OS: Linux 64 bit (RHEL5)
DB version : 11.2.0.2
Destination Instance
Apps Server Deatails
Name : A2 ( Please note tha the server has been changed, as the OS is changed from 32 bit to 64bit)
OS : Linux 64 bit (RHEL 5)
EBS version: 11.5.10.2
DB Server Details
Name: D1 (No change in Server)
OS: Linux 64 bit (RHEL5)
DB version : 11.2.0.2
How to achieve this upgrade using Maintenance Wizard as the application servers OS will be changed during the upgrade?
Can you refer any document for the same?
I searched the forum but could not find anything related.
In the manual I see it is possible to set the platform when defining nodes, but it this meant/enough to also use this for a platform migration?

Yes you can use Maintenance Wizard to upgrade and move to a different platform. The tool does not care that you are switching platforms. It will perform all the 11i steps on the old platform / server. When you get to the 12.1 portion, Maintenance Wizard will execute the steps on the 12.1 platform. So just define the 12.1 nodes using the new platform os and you should be fine.

Maintenance Wizard - Upgrading 11i database from 9206 to 10203.

We are utilizing the maintenance wizard to help map out our plan for upgrading an 11i EBusiness Suite database from 9206 to 10203. The 10203 software was installed in a new oracle home. I have the following questions:
1.) At what point does the maintenance wizard have you generate the appsutil directory under the new 10203 oracle home?
2.) After "Perform Database upgrade steps" the section "Perform Post Database Upgrade Steps" requires the environment file to exist in the new ORACLE_HOME. However, it does not exist because the appsutil directory does not exist and autoconfig has not been run to lay down the directory structure. Should the environment file be copied from the old Oracle Home and manually modified at this point?

I should add another question related to this subject:
Could anybody explain how is MW taking care of the Database upgrade from 9206 to 10203 ? For me i see this step in MW just as a step which must be done manually. Is that correct ?
