New Marvell (beta) Controller Driver is Released - but not for MSI?

I've been following the Marvell controller situation pretty closely the past week or so because of the BSOD it's been causing on my board.
ASUS has just posted a new Marvell driver for the 91XX, which is on the XPower (88SE9128) and I assume many other X-58 boards.
My question is, does Marvell release one driver that's compatible with all the X-58 boards? Or do they make one for each manufacturer?
I'm very anxious to try it, see if it helps with the BSOD. Should I wait until MSI posts it on their download page, or am I waiting in vain because maybe they never post Beta releases?

Thanks Clay - I never did install the MSU software. I was using the most current driver on MSI's site - the 1.0.0.1047 WHQL.
I've asked around about station-drivers and some say they're fine, others say basically what you did, "be careful."
They've had the 1.2.00.1002 on their site for awhile, and now I see ASUS has it on their site for their X-58 boards. It's listed as a "Beta."
Not sure if I'll even bother with it. I rolled back to the msahci and I'm getting the performance I was was getting originally. I think it was only the last official driver - the 1047 - that caused all (or most) of the problems for me.

New Startgate Atlantis episode (15-Outcast) out, but not for season passes?

This has happened quite a bit to me... Why do they put up new episodes of shows but not let the season pass holders get them when they check for purchases? Sometimes there are large delays before it lets me start downloading my new season pass releases even though they're already on iTunes.

Ok... several hours later and STILL no download for season pass holders. All day it's been sitting up there for anybody to purchase, yet season pass holders are left out in the cold.
So I decided to double pay and cough up the $2 and then complain later, but I CAN'T EVEN DO THAT! When I click on Buy Episode in the iTunes store, a pop-up window says "You have already purchased a season pass containing the TV Episode "The Last Man". You have already purchased a pass containing the TV Episode "The Last Man" but it has not yet been made available for download. An email will be sent when this occurs."
Are you kidding me? I'm actually barred from even re-paying and forcing the download? Why are they actually punishing season pass holders?! This is starting to get on my nerves, seriously.

Usb block for pen drives/ usb storage but not for iphone, ipad & itouch

is there any way to block USB ports for pen drives/ usb storage so that we can confirm that no data is being leaked ?
can we allow only iphone, itouch or ipad to connect from USB ports ?

HP Pavilion DV7 2206TX - DVD drive reads DVDs but not CD's

My HP Pavilion DV7 2206TX - DVD drive reads DVDs but not CD's.
When I insert a CD, the drive tries very hard to read the CD but gives up after about a minute.
I get no error message. I do not see the Auto play message.
Windows Explorer does not recognize the DVD drive.
When I insert a DVD, I get the Autoplay menu, Windows Explorer recognize the drive and the DVD. I can play the DVD using any number of Video players.
I would welcome advice relating this problem.

your HP Pavilion needs a new DVD driver. I ran into many problems such as this when troubleshooting computers in school.
A DVD drive should play CD at any time: While a CD driver will not play a DVD disc. Do not think there is a problem with sofware because it will only throw your troubleshooting skills out the window and it will confuse you.

New IPhone 5 is recognized by Windows but, not ITunes.

IPhone 4S sync'd no problem with my laptop. New IPhone 5 is recognized by Windows but, not ITunes. ITunes has been updated, worked with Apple support for 2 hours this morning, still an unresolved problem. Also, phone does sync on other computers.

Can TMS warn of objects on released-but-not-imported requests?

I'm sure this is a common problem: Developer A makes a change to an ABAP program, releases his transport, and imports it to the QA system. Developer B makes a subsequent change to the same program (unaware of Developer A's changes), realeases his transport and imports it to QA. Developer B's QA testing completes first, and his transport is imported to the Production system. Some time later, Developer A's QA testing is completed, and his transport moves to Prod, wiping out Developer B's changes!
How do we avoid this situation? Is there a way to configure TMS so that it warns Developer B of Developer A's released-but-not-yet-imported-to-Prod transport?
I am open to all suggestions, including activating user exits in TMS, and coding the warning myself. If that's the only solution, some guidance on TMS user exits and TMS tables I would need to query would be helpful.

Well, this thread may be 4 years old, but I have answered my own question (some time ago), and would like to share the answer with the SDN community.
I ended up activating the BADI CTS_REQUEST_CHECK. In the CHECK_BEFORE_RELEASE method I added my own code to check for "incomplete" transports for any of the objects on the transport being released. The code is pretty involved, but the basic trick is to SELECT all transports for each of the objects in the request from database tables E070, E071, and E07T, then use function TR_READ_GLOBAL_INFO_OF_REQUEST to get the details of each request to determine if it has been imported into the production system.
Once I have a list of "potentially conflicting" transports, I display it for the user in an ALV grid. I then allow the user to decide whether to go on with the release of the transport, or to cancel the release.

GarageBand - Controller's Foot Pedal (in AUSampler) works for one track but not for another

I am learning how to use AUSampler in GarageBand. I am using a MIDI controller (Alesis Q88) with a foot pedal for the sustain.
The sustain works with the default sound in AUSampler (Sine 440), but not for a sound that I imported. Also, my imported sound plays longer the lower the keys played, and the higher up the keys the faster it plays. Either way, it doesn't allow sustain, but yet the default sound does.
I know where the Controller / Sustain Pedal area is within the Piano Roll but that doesn't fix my dilemma.
I presume my problem is related to the viola sound I imported (wav format), or the way I need to set something up; I hope the latter.
Any clues?

You can test your settings by clicking the big "Test My DNS" button at <https://www.dns-oarc.net/oarc/services/dnsentropy>. If you see "Poor" on any of the tests, don't use that domain name server! Remove it from Apple Menu => System Preferences =>Network =>DNS Servers or similar location in your router if you've got a 'home network'. If all you have is "poor" DNS servers in your list, call your ISP and insist that they give you the address of a name server which is protected against the recently exposed DNS cache-poisoning threat.
Also, open System Preferences/Network. Click the DNS tab. Add these numbers in the DNS Servers box.

So the possibility to edit in Web App should be greyed out or even better, vanish completely.

transfer of cost from sub item to main item is configured in the delivery to billing copy control for the main item. go to VTFL > select the required item cateogry > here at the bottom you will find a check box Cummulate cost. Tick it.
Not really what you meant COPA purposes. But the pricing conditions are mapped to COPA value fields at KE4I transaction.

ISync works for iCal but not for Address Book

Another lost soul. Can anybody suggest where I should start looking for the problem.
I've just successfully modified my iSync so that it sees my brand new Nokia 6300. I have got the phone and my iMac to sync my calendar, but absolutely zero activity on the contacts front.
Looking at the message on my Nokia, the Synchronisation Info message records changes to the Calendar but makes no mention of the Contacts. It is as if I've switched off the requirement to sync these somewhere.
Any ideas for where to look?

Over the years I have found these Apple Discussion lists a very useful source of help, but I don't think I have ever come across a list with so many frantic pleas for help as this! ISync is a wonderful Idea, but it seems that it is far from plain sailing to implement.

All this sounds like you are confused about the general nature of MIDI Continuous Controllers (MIDI CC). The MIDI specification allows for 128 different CC's: CC0 to CC127. Some are typically "preallocated" to 'standard functions: CC1= Modulation, CC7=Volume, CC10+Pan, CC11= 'Expression'. Some act as switches such as 'Sustain' CC64.

Mainstage works with MIDI CC's generally in a number of ways:
Some standard ones are automatically passed through to all MIDI/Instrument channels unless you specifically block them. Others are not passed through unless you specifically map them to something.
This mapping can be done basically two ways (with MS 2.2):
a) Make a Screen Control in Layout mode, and assign it to a particular incoming MIDI CC message. Then, you can map this Screeen Control to a variety of parameters such as the volume of a particular channel strip.
b) With MS 2.2, you can do the above Assign and Mapping directly, without the need for Screen Controls as an 'intermediary'.

Yes.
It sounds to me like you have an issue where you have several hardware controls on your Keyboard set up to transmit the same MIDI CC. This is probably not a good idea, and it would be much better if you assigned them to transmit different CC messages (CC1 for Modulation and probably CC11 for the Expression (though you may want to set the pedal to some other number instead.
Once you are transmitting different CC messages, you will be able to Assign and Map much more flexibly:
for example, you could one to control the overall output volume at Concert Level in MS, whilst the other controls the volume of a specific channel within a Patch.
Your issue of layered patches is one of "Scaling": one Screen Control (assigned to an incoming MIDI CC message) needs to alter the ranges of different channel strips to different amounts. You can set this up by using multiple mappings for one Control, each set to work over a particular range (for example a goes from -20 to 0 whilst b goes from -30 to -20 etc.).
