New member looking for best place to post in the community for variety of topics
Hi. My name is Tony and I've just received a new Lenovo EDGE 15 (NOT a Thinkpad!) and have been test driving it for a few days. It is generally a very nice and flexible system - Model number is 80K9000AUS and is listed under the FLEX series on the shopping site. This is my first post ever.
My background is in the IT industry, primarily in the programming and support with 30 years in IBM and several more recent years in laptop support with a smaller company. Funny that I am now at the "Fanfold Paper" level here in the forums, since I started with IBM in 1968 and relied on fanfold paper and punched cards at that time.
I am quite famiiar with the older Thinkpad lines since I've supported models 600, 770 T21, T23, T30, ,,, up to T500 which I own 2 of. This is my first experience with Windows 8 as I'm coming from XP (no yelling please <g>). Not as bad as I've been led to believe, just different ...so far.
These newer non-Thinkpad laptops don't seem to come loaded with very useful support tools like the Thinkpads do. I was wondering if there are any tools like the ThinkVantage series of tools that will run on these non-Thinkpad laptops to provide similar assistance?
The Lenovo Companion "APP" that came pre-installed on the EDGE 15 informed me (via the Lenovo Messenger) that I should download and install the Lenovo System Update tool and it displayed a link which I clicked on which took me to the ThinkVantage System Update download page. After reading the "Readme" document I saw that my system was not specifically (or tangentially) supported on this software.
I called support and after 50 minutes with 4 different people the question could not be answered. I was advised to download and install it and see what happened. So here I am.
I welcome any guidance regarding the specific question and pointers to other Forum sections to either post or search in to get info regarding software and/or hardware questions. I am aware of the Flex section for specifics.

Forgot to mention that Superfish was installed on this preload - installation date was 2/4/2015. I uninstalled from the add/remove (old terminology) programs list. Went to delete the Root Cert and it wasn't there, so I assume the builder of this preload deleted the root cert, or uninstall deleted the cert (which I doubt). Either way, quite misleading since we were told it would not appear after January.

Hello friends,
For the creation of a new Condition table, I require the field, KNVV-KVGR5 i.e Customer group 5 field present in Sales area data ->Extras -> Additional data in Customer master to be added to the Catalog of allowed fields since this field does not exist anywhere.
I have already gone thru the threads available on adding New field for Pricing which has an example/detailed explanation with the Item category (PSTYVV) field.
But the field I want i.e KNVV-KVGR5, is a part of Master data, so please guide me with the steps to follow to add this field in the field catalog and hence use it for creation of a new condition table.
1) Should i add this field in KOMP (i.e item) or KOMK ( i.e Header) or KOMG?
2) Should i include it in KOMKAZ or KOMPAZ?
3) Should i create this field as data element or structure and what should be the domain used?
4) For the value flow, should i use the Item -level user-exits or Header level mentioned in other threads?

I was finally able to create a new field for Cust.grp.5 i.e ZZKVGR5 and added to Catalog to be used for Pricing.
Then i faced a peculiar issue as below:
For the business requirement, we defined a new tax condition table for determination of tax rates. For this, we are using both standard and custom fields to derive the correct tax rates in sales/billing documents like below
A859: Country/Distr. Chl/Cust.grp.5/Material (Here Customer.grp 5 was added following the SAP Note: 531835)
The field was inserted in the communication structure KOMKAZ which is included in both KOMK and KOMP.
During the document processing, the pricing analysis view shows no value in the customer grp 5 field, though it is maintained for the customer used in the sales order. The code has been written in MV45 and RV60 both as guided in SAP Note: 531835. But the values are not flowing.
Solved the above problem as below:
M posting the answer to help the community for similar issue.
Also, the new field tat i had added was Customer Grp 5 field of Customer master ->Extras->Additional field and I wanted the value to flow in the ZZKVGR5 field before the Pricing for the sales order was called.
After trying all, we have finally fetched the value from KNVV-KVGR5 and got it moved to ZZKVGR5 field through ABAP coding.
After this when i select/click on Pricing for a particular item, it gets picked up correctly and properly.

The passcode you need to enter is the passcode you set on your device. It is the passcode that you enter when you turn on your iPad or awaken it from sleep after and Auto lock.
If you do not know or remember your password and did not store it somewhere then you will have to restore your device.

How long does it take to install the new iphone update, my iphone is been stuck at the same % for over a hour.
The update should not take more than 5 minutes to download and update.
I would recommended pressing on the sleep/wake button for a few seconds untill you see the 'slide to shut down' bar. Shut the device down and try again. -

Yes the Apple ID is the thing that ties your devices to you and shares your information and content between them.
If you mean that Find My Phone is asking for a password to a different Apple ID to your current Apple ID.
This feature has been introduced to make stolen phones useless to those that have stolen them.
However it can also arise when the user has changed their Apple ID details with Apple and not made the same changes to their iCloud account/Find My Phone on their device before upgrading to iOS 7, or if you restore from a previous back up made before you changed your details.
The only solution is to change your Apple ID back to its previous state with Apple at My Apple ID using your current password, you don’t need access to this address if it’s previously been used with your Apple ID, once you have saved these details enter the password as requested on your device and then turn off "find my phone" and delete the account from your device.
You should then change your Apple ID back to its current state, save it once again and then log back in using your current Apple ID. Finally, turn "find my phone" back on once again.

That depends. If you bought the disc version, you're good to go, since your serial number works on both platforms, so just install the mac version. If you lost the discs or your mac doesn't have a disc drive, you can download it here:

However, if you bought the windows version as a download, you're out of luck. Adobe does do a crossgrade, but for older versions you have to pay to upgrade to current version on the new platform, and that's more expensive than just buying it, if you search around for a good price.

ok, I see you posted parts of your VI in a different location. There is a sub-VI missing though ( Spline Interpolate.vi). But I re-constructed your data and can see the following things:
1 - Your signal has a significant DC-offset (approximatelly 1000) and this will result in a power value for DC of approximatelly 10E6 (though you wrote 10E8 in your first posting).
2 - If you ignore that DC, you can see on the time signal that there is another signal at very low frequency (order of magnitude amplitude = 10, power spectrum around bin 1 = 100) and you are not capturing an entire period of that signal, so either a measurement time of 300 seconds is not enough or this is a signal caused by a drift that you want to ignore.
But overall there is not much sign
al left once you remove your DC and eventually the very low frequency signal. But given your input signal, the power spectrum looks right. Remember also that the DC component will be replicated (with 6 dB reduction) on bin 1 when you apply a Hanning window. Try eventually without the Hanning window (but you'll still have to ignore your DC bin). Alternatively subtract the dc value from your time signal before computing your power spectrum. -

Yes. On the other iPhone go to Settings>iCloud, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account. This will delete the account from the phone but not from iCloud. Any data being synced with iCloud on this phone will be deleted from it when you delete the account, but will sync back with you sign back in later.
After deleting the account, set up a new one with a different Apple ID. Then delete this account from the phone and sign back into the original account to sync the iCloud data back to this phone. You can then go to the other phone (the one that doesn't have any remaining accounts on it) and sign into the new account you just created on your other phone using the ID you used to create it. -

It's a two email process, one email has a locked pdf with the redemption code. The second email has the password to unlock the pdf. They come separetly, so you may have to wait for the 2nd to arrive.

be able to get the part(s) and do the service. That is an old MB

there are several online and some ship almost world-wide.
If you are in north America, there are some who also may ship
to other areas, but then there is shipping, taxes, duty fees, etc.
You may be able to narrow down the part numbers and such
by looking into online parts resellers, an example may be
powerbookmedic.com, powermax.com, wegenermedia, etc.
There may be a part number reference in iFixit.com guides.
A service part such as main original hardware is more difficult
than a replacement hard disk drive or optical drive. Availability
varies, so without knowing where you are, I can't speculate as

be found in the main online Apple links for service centers.

I suggested that SAP does not make its own metadata sufficiently transparent to support all activities requiring knowlege of SAP architecture, particularly activities such as "AsIs:ToBe" mappings in Legacy -> ERP conversions, or creation of ES(O)A services.
So I'd like to share something that recently happened at work, in order to illustrate this point.
The customer is opening a plant in a different country and must run SAP in a different language.
So the first thing it wants to do is run SMLT with a list of tables that are involved in the transactions which will be run in the new language.
Ah - but how to get this list of tables ...!
Shouldn't there be an absolutely transparent utility which takes the set of transactions from the blueprint and produces a list of tables that need to be fed to SMLT to support these transactions?
Alternatively, shouldn't SAP "open up" the metadata and metaprocesses behind the Repository Information system, so that an enterprising customer can write such a utility itself?
Am I missing something here?
If so, I've posted this post in the ABAP General Forum also, so that anyone who wants some points can tell everyone how and why this problem is really not a problem. (If more than one good solution is posted, I promise I'll ask Craig/Mark to award "10" to each one.)<br><br>Must be that there isn't any simple "off-the-shelf" solution, huh?
