New messages on top of other windows?

Apologies for what may be an obvious answer, but couldn't find it in my searches.
Is there any way to have new iChat messages pop up on top of other windows? I realize you can set iChat to be "always on top", but I'd like like the chat window to recede into the background when I'm done reading or replying to a message so I can focus on whatever application I am using.
I have Chax installed, but don't see any way to do this via that program.

Firefox 5 window stays on top of other windows

On an old Windows XP SP3 system, in the last few days, Firefox 5 window always stays on top of other windows that I may have open. In order to see the other windows (applications) that I have open, I must minimize Firefox 5. In the past, clicking on the title bar of any other window/application, would bring it to the front, but that does not happen now; clicking on a title bar other than Firefox 5 does focus the other title bar and Firefox 5 title bar does change to the non-focused color, but the other window/application does not come to the front (over Firefox 5).
This has just occurred in the last few days. I have added no new programs and no new extensions to Firefox, but several Firefox add-ons have been updated.

There r two ways ways to display image.
1)As background image
2)using graphic node.
To display image as background.
click on page node.
choose background picture options
enter the path of the image.enter the resolution and output mode in the output attributes.
enter the horizontal and vertical positions where the image to be displayed in the page.
To display image using Graphic node.
Add a graphic node into the window where u want the image to be displayed.
In the General attribute enter the path and the resolution.

After 31.1.2 update cannot view new messages in pane or separate window

Old messages before today appear, but any message wuht todays date does not appe, the view pane and the message window are blank. How can I move back to previous version until this is fixed?

Update: message sent from Mozilla to confirm this new message does appear, so it seems that messages received today 9/26 that were sent before Thunderbird updated to 31.1.2, are not viewable. The header appears but not the message itself. Messages created before midnight are appearing, this is most strange. Maybe the messages from today will appear after midnight.

This is is more logical. You need to see new message in thread directly, rather than scanning to end of thread to see what is there.

No it is not possible. The newest message is attached to the message it is in reply to.

Get Flash Player To Play On Top Of Other Windows

I am running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit on a Dell XPS 8100 with Intel i7 Processor. I am using Windows Live Mail and a Hotmail Live Account for my email. When I click on a link to a video in an email Adobe Flash Player always plays underneath the open windows necessitating my minimizing the other windows to view the video. Other than that Flash Player works great. I am using Mozilla Firefox as my default browser. IE 9 is my other browser. All browsers, Flash Player, and the ATI Radeon 5700 video card are up to date. Windows Media Player and Quicktime Player play on top of open email. Thanks, Sam

I have now isolated this playing on bottom to swf files. Every time my friends with Macs send email attachments I get this. I don't have a solution yet, but the Jpegs and Videos are playing nicely on the bottom window. I just minimize the windows on top for now. I hope to solve this issue even though no viewers of my post so far have come up with a solution.

I create an external window from my web dynpro component. How to make sure the new window is created on top, not in the back? My web dynpro component is accessed via sapgui and browser.

Yes, by default it should be on top.But mine is displayed in the background.
Logic is:
1 Window A (or SAPGUI A) has a pop window PA with a button "OK"
2 Press "OK" button, PA window is closed. And fire an event to window A
3 A get the event, refresh itself and create an external window.

Firefox is not opening with focus (on top of other windows), why not?

when opening FF (5.0) or restarting, it does not open as top window on my (W7HP) desktop. I think it opens under which ever window was last active or pointer is over, but I would have to experiment some to prove that.
EDIT: after some experimenting, I cannot absolutely define when it will or will not open focused. Newsbin Pro might be a factor, when window open, FF tends to open under it.

Is the popup window a separate item on the taskbar? If not does, does selecting Firefox in the taskbar bring the window to the fore or just Firefox?
If Firefox was updated, then it could be that your CMS needs an update also, are there any available? I would definitely advise keeping up to date with any updates to the CMS as they often contain security/vulnerability updates as well as bug fixes.

1. Don't wait until your phone completely discharges before charging the battery. To help with the battery percentage reset your phone. Firefox hangs at anytime. Nothing works, (mouse/keyboard). You may somehow have installed a second copy of firefox. (I deliberately have multiple versions installed) Have you been trying the Beta or Aurora channels of Firefox ?
You may have just copies the shortcut icons. I use XP but assume Vista is similar, and that if you right click the icons they will allow you to see the properties, that will include the path to the firefox program ''firefox.exe'' . Do both shortcuts point to the same file and location ?
Another possibility is that one icon is for normal use, and another for safe mode, again something you will discover if you study the properties.

Why the office windows always on top of others - how to change it back?!!

I'm using mac os x and office 2011.
Since maybe couple weeks ago (maybe after one of the office upgrades?), when I have multiple office windows opened (e.g., multiple word documents, excel, powerpoint), these windows always appear on top of others (e.g., safari, calendar) first!
Here is an example: now i'm using safari, so it's my active window. If I want to go to calendar (which is already opened), when I click the calendar window, all the office windows (which are opened as well) will jump out first!! Then I have to click the calendar again to make it become on top of the office windows. That means, whenever I want to switch to other windows while office windows are opened, I have to click all the other windows twice, because the first time I click on any other type of window, the office windows will jump out no matter what.
This is very annoying after a while. I'm not sure if I explained this clear enough. But how can I change the settings so the office windows can just not always on top of other windows??!!

Yes, I can view/hide the OSK with no problem but the keyboard, itself, changed somehow.

ITunes 10.5 staying on top of all my other windows

I have Windows XP, running iTunes 10.5, and I noticed something in this version that is really annoying, besides the fact that this newest version is a memory hog. I noticed iTunes window is staying ON TOP of all my other windows, specifically the task bar at the bottom. I have my task bar set to stay on top of other windows, and set it to auto hide, but when iTunes is loaded, i can't get my task bar to float back up. Anyone else have the same problem? I am really frustrated.

This issue still exists in iTunes 10.7 Not happy Apple. I'm running Windows 7 so this isn't just an "XP is old" problem. Luckily I'll be udating my iP4 to a yet to be released non-Apple phone so I won't have to live with this for much longer. Although I'll still have my iP4 hanging around as an "iPod" so... maybe not. Either way please fix this!! Another issue which I feel is related is going into the visualizer and making it full screens blacks out any secondry monitors. Get the feeling this is caused by the same line of code that's causing it to be always on top. Doesn't play well with the other kids on the block.

Mail - New message

When using mail, can I open a new message in a new window so that I can still browse old messages without having to close and reopen the message all the time?

It wasn't clear what you wanted to do and I thought you meant to read a new message separate from the mail window. If you mean to Compose New Message, after you click on that icon, if you want to go back to the mail window while keeping the compose new message open, just click on the top portion of the mail window, where the colored dots live. That will bring the mail window to the front and the composing window will be in the background. Just go back and forth between the two as you need to.

Always on top works only on top of iTunes window

When running iTunes 8, the video will only play on top of the iTunes window, but I can put other windows above it. This is not ideal.
Is anyone else having problems with this?

I don't know what happened, no updates to iTunes, but videos will now play on top of other windows.
Edit: It seems that as soon as I posted this, it stopped working.
