"New msg" indicator blinking all the time

Hi all
i just bought my N79 and since the very time i inserted my sim, the "new msg" alert has been blinking on top right of the screen constantly even though there is no new msg. I have tried restarting my device couple of times but no use. Has anyone else experienced the same problem? how do i get rid of the problem?

thats because your sim message memory is full go to
messaging > options > sim messages and delete them off the sim card!

Help me! shiny new powerbook freezes up all the time

ugh. so i finally broke down and bought a 17" powerbook. the new ones from a week ago. I installed an extra gig of ram, have installed all the updates from apple etc. but it freezes up all the time. not the spinning beach ball. or the kernel panic must restart your computer freeze, but the totally frozen nothing is moving on screen, must hold down the power button to turn off freeze. it's pretty random when it freezes. nothing seems to precipitate it. sometimes it freezes immediately. sometimes i'll work in InDesign for four hours before it freezes.
any ideas? i ran the full on hardware test etc. and it says everything is fine. i scanned and removed some corrupt fonts. still the same. i've done everything i can think of including reinstalling some software etc.
im assuming it's a software issue, not hardware. or is that not necessarily true? ugh. depressing. thanks for any help-

First thing to try is take the extra RAM and see what happens.
If it stop with the RAM out then you could have bad RAM or it's not in tight. Try re seating it.
If you still get it then, you need to rule out the OS so you need to re install the complete system from fresh. Use disk utility on the install disc to do a low level erase then re install.
If still the same you could have a hardware fault maybe the HD or the logic board.
If it's this new you have Apple support for 90 days, just call them they will sort it for you.

Thinkpad R52 - Battery blinking all the time, not charging

Hi,
My laptopt IBM thinkpad R52 not charging battery (always blinking in orange led), I tried to replace the battery by a new one and charging all night but unfortunately the problem persists, the same problem.
Always the battery led is blinking.
Any suggestion? What do you think?
I don't have any idea what is the problem?

If the second battery is a *known good* example that charges in another machine, then the charging circuit on the motherboard has been damaged.

I have a problem on my Safari when open gmail. After I login to my gmail, then Safari is blinking all the time and can't open my gmail.

HT204452 My Mac is blinking all the time after the latest update.

The computer was working fine before the update. Now, it blinks the active screen when I try to load anything. I can't use my softwares or browse on network. Somebody with this issue?

Back up all data before proceeding.
Launch the Font Book application and validate all fonts. You must select the fonts in order to validate them. See the built-in help and this support article for instructions. If Font Book finds any issues, resolve them.
Start up in safe mode to rebuild the font caches. Restart as usual and test.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a software RAID, you can’t start in safe mode. In that case, ask for instructions.
If you still have problems, then from the Font Book menu bar, select
          File ▹ Restore Standard Fonts...
You'll be prompted to confirm, and then to enter your administrator login password.
Also note that if you deactivate or remove any built-in fonts, for instance by using a third-party font manager, the system may become unstable.
From the Safari menu bar, select
          Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Privacy ▹ Remove All Website Data...
and confirm. Close the window. Then select
           ▹ System Preferences… ▹ Flash Player ▹ Advanced
and click Delete All. Close the preference pane.

My brand new macbook pro freezes ALL the time

Without even one single app running, this piece of garbage will freeze. I get the spinning pinwheel even when I open Finder. I have updated all software, don't game, never run more than two apps at a time, the two being iTunes and Safari.
I don't know what to do, I've had the notebook for literally less than a month and a half, and I am SO SO SO disappointed to the point that I hate it and want to break it. I have about 5 minutes from startup before I have to hard restart the computer, and once I do, it just stays frozen once it wakes back up.
I am at a loss, and any other message board I find is from 2011, where the "update" is that Apple has fixed the issue. My computer is by definition a worthless and useless two thousand dollar piece of machinery that I can't even use for longer than 5 minutes. I will not be purchasing another macbook. I just need to know how to deal with this one.

Hold Button Indicator On All The Time

Ok, so the hold indicator sign is always on and I can't do anything. I've tried the 5r's and it didn't work. I'm ready to chuck it across the roon. Please help.

I have a question of CVI, I am modify a UIR and I am add a LEDs in my UIR, I nedded do that these Leds is blinking all the time, but I am having problem for do this.
I know that exist 2 functions in CVI SetCtrlVal and GetCtrlVal for Set and Get the state of the Led, but in my code I am try of use these functions for the Led and this Is not blinking. Only change of color one time not more.
Do you know what is the form or the method for does this ??

SPA3102 all the time in flashing mode

Hi, SPA3102 doesn't receive IP from DHCP and still flashing signal LED. I can access it via http and rebooted it several times via phone and 2 times flashed the newest firmware but all this for nothing - LED is blinking all the time.
Please help me.

FCP 5.1.1 crashes on launch, in the middle, anytime, all the time

OK. I zero erase my hard drive, reinstall everything from scratch and FCP is still not working. In one account doesn's even open, I erase all the preferences etc etc and crashes, symptom?, the viewer is green. Next time I try to open it, it crashes right after it asks for the camera that's not connected.
On the other account FCP works good for 30 to 35 minutes and crashes without a warning.
I'm using an iMac 20 inches, 2 Ghzt, 2 GB of Ram, Ati Raedon 256mb, Mac OSX 10.4.7 and FCP 5.1.1
Since it's a new machine and it's also crashing sometimes when I change users (I trully beleive that deceiving commercial, actually, my PC, the fat nerd looking one, never crashes, but my shinny new iMac does it all the time) , could it be a defective piece of sh..., I mean, hardware?

Well, I finally found the culprit. It was Pro Tools and MBox 2 all the way. I ran all kind of tests (AHT and Rember, which I left running for several hours) and they didn't found anything wrong with the hardware. So I reinstalled the OS (at this point one more afternoon wasted makes no difference) disconnect everything (Firewire drives, USB hub, etc.) and start adding programs and peripherals one by one and testing them. For a week I had no problems, zero crashes and FCP was working perfectly. Finally I installed Pro Tools and the MBox 2 and start to use it as the audio device for FCP (since I needed a better audio monitoring), and again, the crashes began. Funny thing it's that I don't need to have the MBox acting as the audio device, it's enough to have it connected to the computer to crash any program (Safari, iTunes, Skype, etc.). Luckily this time I can disconnect the MBox, restart the computer (and leave the MBox disconnected, of course) and everything works fine again. Before it didn't matter if the MBox was or wasn't connected to the computer, so for that I though it could be the iMac... sorry, iMac, it wasn’t your fault.
Well, it's good to know that's nothing wrong with my computer and that it’s definitely not a PC (when the MBox and Digidesign are away, that is, so maybe it is a problem with the iMac usb ports). The sad thing is to get yet another confirmation of the incredible ineptitude of the guys at Digidesign. I just don't understand why people (studios, I mean) can use such poor software and hardware. But well, that’s enough complaining for now. If someone can think of a solution (in the meantime I just spend too much time so I can’t return the MBox to the store, so I’m thinking for new uses for it, like keeping my window open or raising the monitor) I would be very thankful. And for the record, the guys in Digidesign, although very nice, just have no clue.

Are you aware that if you restore your ipad that you will lose all data from your ipad and very difficult to get it back unless you had previously made a back-up of your data on itunes or in the cloud. and that would be on the computer you set those up on. (There are some independent apps out there that might help restore data but I don't have any experience with them...)
Also, I think if you restore on another computer you're supposed to have administrator rights and have the latest itunes update. And I think if you sync (if restoring is considered syncing with another computer, you'll be locked out of your computer or a new one.)
I don't know if there is a way for you to safely eject your ipad from your mom's laptop and find another way, but please read this

And then tell the story of your problem that you originally included and your follow-up efforts to restore given a suggestion on previous post (though I think you SHOULD AVOID RSTORE if you can.) Do you have a Mac or idevice for setting up the Express? It does require a later utility than is available for windows.
You might be able to setup with the v5 utility in windows but there is no guarantee.
You should use a simple name both for the base and the wireless. eg AEXgen2 base name and AEXwifi for wireless name.. that is if you get access.
