New MSI 6200 TD256 card in a KT4 Ultra (via) board,no boot, no page, help please

Hello.
just bought a new MSI Nvidia 6200 TD256 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814127186) and I put it in my KT4 Ultra board (via chipset). I am using the newest bios (1.4) and Via 4in1 chipset drivers.
What happens is when I boot the machine, everything starts up, but I get no PAGE and the D-Bracket is hung at the "testing VGA bios this will print ..." (thats what it says in the manual).
Now, I've done the best I can to research this issue, but best I can guess is this is a bad card and I should just return it for a replacement... the card does look fine, I see no physical damage and it seemed to be properly shipped. I did read that kt4 boards don't support 3.3v AGP cards... but I'm not really sure what that means.
Anyways, if anyone has any insight on something I should try before I have to go through the return process that would be much appreciated.

Upgrading to a MSI kt4-ultra FISR board.....

Currently I've got a gigabyte motherboard and I want to upgrade to an: MSI kt4-ultra FISR board. Can I just pull my old board out and install the MSI board with all my old hardware, O/S already on harddrive - and do a start up, or will I run into errors and problems when I try this? Currently my system looks like this:

A clean install will give you 30 days to reactivate and it only takes a 5 minute call to get the new #s. Pretty simple and much easier than trying to straighten out all the error codes from old O S. I did however move an XP harddrive from a Turbo2 to a KT4 without a new install but they were both MSI boards. A clean install also gets rid of all the junk that accumulates. Just enter bios and make the CD rom 1 st boot . BIGDADDY51 CT. USA :D 8) :D

Sata Raid problems with MSI KT4 Ultra Via kt400 chipset

ok i am having major problems setting up my sata raid in my brothers msi KT4 Ultra via KT 400 chipset
it comes up with my irq settings are wrong
my hard drives are WD 120 GB 7200rpms SATA - sold my mobo asus A7N8X - Delux and used my bros mobo above but just cant get them to work if ne one has ne idea on how to fix it (bios is still factory default do i have too flash it to get it too work etc)

Major headaches with MSI FX5500 TD256 card...

Hello all,
I recently purchased an MSI FX5500 TD256..now my system keeps rebooting and often suffers from screen freeze. I can access the internet and stay connected all day with no problems....but as soon as I try to play an online game such as City Of Heroes...reboot.
I have already installed the newest bios/mobo drivers and any other updates recommended by the program: Everest.
I have tried numerous drivers from both MSI site and Nvidia site. (Cleaning after each re-install of these with Driver Cleaner Pro as to avoid any possible conflicts.)
I even re-installed OS (WinXP/Home) twice. (after formatting HD of course).
I have used DocMem to check the ram...ram checked out ok.
I am at my wits end....if anyone has any ideas...solutions..plz help....not much hair left (grabs handfull and begins to pull)...
I have a rar file (mini dump file of the error and Everest report on my system)...is it possible to post these?
The system is roughly 2---2 1/2 yrs old. (Self built and havent had any serious probs with it until this card.) oddly enough...the card doesnt appear faulty...
Also...Everest reports CPU temp is 120F. But there are 6 fans installed and mobo/CPU cooler are (mostly) clean.
Any help would be appreciated.

My hard drive crashed and is no longer usable. I just installed a new drive however, I am not finding any way to export my recorded CD's from the Ipod touch to the new hard drive. Can anyone help please? I thought by enabling syc with Ipod woudl do it but to no avail.

I used a 3rd party program called copytrans http://www.copytrans.net/ that is not free to move my library from my ipod to my itunes library when I had to start from scratch. After that happened I started backing up my music that purchased from the itunes store to a dvd so I would always have it if things went south. Now I always backup my purchased digital music to an optical disc just in case plus everythng else I have is on retail cd's so I can just rebuild my library from scratch again if I have to. You should also regularly back up your itunes media folder to another disc so your entire library will be backed up just in case you should lose your program drive.

I was following another "helpful hint" hold down the option and command key and restart iPhoto - select the top three and you should be able to get rid of the dreaded exclamation point. My MAC ran through the first two options dealing with thumbnails, but crashed during the "restore database" step and now I have a mess. Help, please. Thank you.

New MSI TV Tuner cards!

It seems as if MSI has or is about to launch some new TV tuner cards.
The TV@nywhere Plus (pictured left) looks like a new analogue TV tuner, possibly to replace the TV@nywhere Master card. It looks to use a new broadcast decoder chip, and includes new features such as auto-scan and naming of channels, and crucially the ability to power on your PC in order to commence a scheduled recording (as with the Compro Videomate card)
The Digital@nywhere (pictured centre) looks like the daddy. It is a Digital DVB-T card, which receives digital terrestrial TV signals through an ordinary aerial (like the Nova-T and Black Gold cards). There is no mention on this page, but I guess MSI would have been foolish not to make this product WinXP MCE compatible.
The Theater 550PRO (pictured right) is a high quality analogue TV tuner, with hardware MPEG encoder, allowing for DVD quality TV recordings. It is based on the ATI Theater 550PRO chipset, is bundled with CyberLink's PowerCinema software (yay no more shoddy Intervideo software!) and is also listed as being compatible with Windows XP Media Center Edition.
If anyone has seen these cards in action, or is lucky enough to own one, please add your comments here!!

well, I just bought an Asus, TV/FM card for my computer (the MSI anywhere plus one came out shortly after that), and gone through semi ton research. Basicaly the Theaterpro 550 are not just made by MSI, by also by Sapphire and Power Color as well (all came from ATI?), some ppl say the software (cyber one) is problematic, but several review I read says that it's all pretty good, if your installation and problem is not a problem, then you are most likely bug free. At, first I bought an Leadtek one (which in my opinion is better in term of software and hardware compare to the asus card I have) but unfortuntely, the card's FM fucntion is a bit buggy. Though Asus card's software function is not as versatile as the Leadtek (the close caption don't work in Canada only in US) but it's really good and stable enough for avg user who want to listen radio and watch TV on comp, and the remote that came with it is pretty nifty too (when I try it, the volume func won't work, it turns out that my Microsoft kyboard funct is blocking some commands) In terms of price range and spec, I think the MSI anywhere plus and Asus TV/FM card 7135 is nearly identical, the only expection is that MSI is 10 dollars cheaper, plus their remote is connected to card itself instead of using a USB slot from your comp. One of the obvious problem I know with TheaterPro550 type is that the box on the card heats up quickly and to quite a high temp as well, so good circulation in case is quite important (same with my Leadtek card). Those are the little nitpic I gathered during my search for TV/FM card, so some info could be false, so it's best to do your own research when purchase a card for yourself.

MSI 785GTM-E45 wont post with 4 GB ram just about at witts end help please

I have a MSI 785GTM-E45 with a AMD Athlon 7750 Black Edition Dual Core 2.7 (all overclocking was restored to normal for install of new ram) that ive been putting together its just about done except vid card and memory.. K heres my problem I"ve been using a 1 X 1gb single channel ddr2 800 pc2 -5300 1.8v 240 pin to set stuff up untill i got my new ram. well i got my new ram today its 2 sticks 2 GB each PC2-8500 DDR2-1066Mhz ..CL 5-7-7-25 dimm when I install it on my board the machine wont post. seems like it boots theres no beeps or anything so i cleared the CMOS Flashed and upgraded the bios set bios to defaults still wont post. I tried one stick then other tried one slot then other nothing took it out put in my old ram fires right up. HELP what am i doing wrong. PC2-8500 DDR2-1066Mhz owners manual and everything i read online says this should work they are a new maching pair.

hey mark thanks i took it to a shop today guy said it was 100% compatible so i asked him to test it came back bout 5 min later said it was completely dead worthless so in sendin it back bout some from the guy at the store machine runs awsome now i just need a good inexpensinve graphics pci-e pretty sad when you spend good Money and a few days looking for excactly what you want / need and when you get it its trash im just glad it wasnt my main board

MSI GT780 Screen won't switch on even though the laptop turns on. HELP PLEASE!!!

my msi gt 780 screen won't turn on. it has always worked until now. what must i do to get it to switch on? the leds on the keyboard work. the fan works. so not cpu related i think. what could be the problem?

also already tried the whole turning laptop off etc then plugging it in and putting the battery back after 5 mins etc. doesn't work. what is the next step? flash bios? if so then how do i do that? i'm new to all this...

I have got my new ipad 2 up and running (my husband has my old ipad). Yesterday we were sending imessages back and forth but today it says his email address is not registered. He can send to me and I can send to myself! Please any ideas.

Just in case anyone has the same problem, I have solved it by rechecking the settings on my husband's ipad which used to be mine. Under iMessage, the box which says where to receive the message was my email address and not his, hence when I sent an iMessage to him it wouldn't recognise his email address (he could only send to me, which I could reply to!). Such a simple thing but which can cause such a lot of hassle!

Hi - I have set up a new ipad which I bought to replace my stolen ipad. I had a number of i-books synced to my windows 7 PC Itunes, and the new ipad will only sync the music - The books were in e-pub and PDF format. My i-books has the category labels but no books, even though I can see them on my PC in itunes. Can anyone tell me how I can get them to sync onto my ipad please?

You cannot transfer content between two accounts. The sooner you make the conversion, the better. Just pick the new one and start using it(buying music etc).
*A lot of people open new accounts when their email changes or they have a new email. You can just access your apple id account and change the primary email that you use to log in along with other details.

New iPad 3 .. Set it up .. Downloaded a few apps and it was fine .. Tried to use FaceTime and set it up but it won't .. Keeps saying unable to as I need to verify from an email they send .. Have not received a single email .. Then tried to update software as I had a notification and the iPad keeps getting stuck on a screen that says verifying and then it says unable to connect to the Internet but my Internet is working perfectly fine as I am typing this now and I have downloaded apps .. I certainly can't say for certain, but there are a number of discussions going on right now about not being able to activate or update the iOS so it seems that there is a feeling that the Apple servers could be the problem.
I have no idea how one could possibly confirm that,
