New music will not sync to Iphone

I have added a bunch of new music and reorganized my playlist's on itunes but when I try to sync my iphone 4S it will sync eveything (calnders, address book) but not change or add anything from itunes.
Itunes 11.1.3
IOS 7.0.4

Is the content actually selected to sync?
If it is, try unchecking the sync music option and sync.  Once complete, check the sync music option and sync.

  • Downloaded music will not sync to iphone

I downloaded an album to my itunes library..it shows up on my computer but will not sync to my phone...I've uploaded the newest version of itunes, deleted and re-added the cd to the library...hit sync several times and this particular album will not move over to my phone...

    Hey kristruss!
I have a couple of suggestions for you to attempt to get this album onto your iOS device. First, try to sync the album by manual syncing instead of automatic syncing:

  • IO6 upgrade, now music will not sync to iPhone 4S????

I recently upgraded my iPhone 4S to IO6.  Since then my music will no longer sync.  I have over 5,200 songs and all were on the iPhone before I upgraded. However, once I upgraded to IO6 the music disappeared off the iPhone (it's still in iTunes).  Before anyone asks:
    - The music is still in the same folder on my hard drive (same as before upgrading to IO6).
    - Yes, the box in iTunes is checked which says sync the entire music library.
The ONLY thing that has changed is that my iPhone now has IO6 on it.
Is anyone else having this problem?  And if so how did you fix it?

    I'm having the same problem!

  • New music will not sync to my iPhone 4, and music that was previously synced but was added to library through a CD will not play and has a red square and is grayed out.

I use iTunes on my family iMac, my iTunes, I believe, one update below the current software any my iPhone is on iOS 7.0.3. Music purchased through iTunes syncs correctly and will play properly. Songs that I have obtained through CD's, however, are now grayed out and have a red square with a circle around it. When I click on the song, it will cycle through my library until it can play a song. iTunes will also not restore songs that I have removed from my iPhone but are in the cloud. Is there any possible way to fix this issue? Everything has been working fine until iOS 7 and the new version of iTunes. Thank you for your time!

I am so relieved to hear that I am not the only one experiencing this! However, I am sorry to hear you are going through this as well. Lucky for me I am upgrading to a 5s which will be sent to me on Wednesday. I did stumble upon an article with tips on how to downgrade back to iOS 7, but I am EXTREMELY apprehensive about doing that myself. Here's the article link if you want to give it a go:

  • My iTunes library on my new Macbook will not sync to iPhone 5

I just got a new MacBook Pro and spent a lot of time organizing my music into new playlists, deleting old music, etc.  When I plugged in my iPhone 5 to update it with the new library, the new playlists I had just created disappeared and it wouldn't sync to the new library.  This was very frustrating to me.  I then did a sort of "test run" with my much older iPod and it seemed to sync fine.  I don't know what to do.  I've tried checking and unchecking the Sync Music box, restarting both my computer and iPhone, and I even restored my iPhone to factory settings.
It often stops at the "waiting for changes to be applied" stage, or, sometimes, it will sync just some of my music.
I've about had it.  All I want is for what is exactly in my iTunes library to sync to my iPhone and I can't figure out what is going on.
    Please help!!

  • Music will not sync to iPhone 4s

My iPhone 4s has the most recent iOS update. When select my iPhone under devices and run a sync, the sync goes to step 5, but then stops without syncing any music to the phone even though there are songs selected in iTunes. Now there isn't any music on my phone.
I did change my Apple ID, but I've done that before without problems so I'm not sure if that is the cause. I have also authorized my Mac.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I had this problem also but I found out that I had to convert my higher bit songs to 128 kbps AAC. To turn it on, go to Summary and scroll down all the way to Options and check the box on Converting it. Sync your music and it should sync it.

    Hello there, Capricious13.
There are great pointers in the following Knowledge Base article. Depending on where you see the content and where you want to get it to, this should guide you to putting it in the right place:

you can connect the iPhone to your mac and import those iPhone photos and videos to iPhoto assuming you have iPhoto. You can create a folder and export all those photos to the Finder. Keep safe somewhere.  Also keep the iPhoto library for safe keeping. When you restore your iPhone you can sync all those photos back to the iPhone. so you will lose nothing. Just remember when you export from iPhoto select jpeg for photos and original for videos taken with the iPhone.

An exclamation mark means that it doesn't know where you moved the music to.  To fix this, click on the exclamation point and when it asks you to browse to the location where you moved it to, use the normal commands to go up and down folders in your external drive until you find the song.  Repeat as necessary.

  • Some new purchased songs will not sync to IPhone.  Any ideas on resolving this?

Some newly purchased songs will not sync to Iphone.  Any ideas to resolve this issue?

    Similar issue:
I purchased several complete albums from the iTunes store on my laptop. Everything syncs fine with my iPhone except for two tracks from two seperate albums. I get the same error for both tracks: "iTunes could not copy ..... to the iPhone because the file could not be converted."
From what I can tell both tracks are the same format as the other tracks on those albums - m4a (purchased AAC audio file) and wouldn't need converting (except that I have "convert higher bit rate songs to 128 kbps AAC" checked... but the other tracks convert just fine). Files play just fine on the laptop.
I checked that everything was purchased with the same user accounts. Not sure what to try next... any ideas?
In case it of any use here are the tracks:
Being Single Again (track 2 from Louis C.K.'s album Hilarious)
Letters to Magazines (track 15 from Paul F. Tompkins' album Impersonal)
Maybe the tracks are just so funny that the iPhone is cracking up too much to transfer them over.

  • My music will not sync to my ipod it only says revert and I cant open up music i purchased on itunes. I started having this problem when I updated my ipod

My music will not sync to my ipod it only says revert and I cant open or play music i purchase on itunes. This problem occured when i updated my ipod.
    Thanks

I also have a 4G ipod touch and a similar problem. Since I updated to the ios5 software any new songs I add to my iTunes don't sync to my ipod main playlist. They show up in the 'recently added' playlist, but not in the main 'songs' section. I fixed the problem once by restoring to factory settings and rather than reinstalling from a backup, I created a new ipod name and synced everything onto my ipod as if it was new.
This worked until the next new song I added and then the same problem started all over again. If you do reinstall everything as new, you may want to take a screen shot of where all your apps are and make sure all your photos etc are saved, as everything will be from scratch. Hope this helps!

  • Avoid installing iTunes 11 if you are a Windows user. Calendars, etc will not sync with iPhone or iPad. Anyone have a fix?

After installing iTunes 11.0, Outlook Calendars, etc will not sync with iPhone or iPad. Anyone have a fix?

I'm also seeing weird sync issues since upgrading to iOS 7.  The sync issues started when I first upgraded to iOS 7 so I suspect that iOS 7 is to blame and the other system differences aren't an issue (i.e. I also upgraded to Windows 8.1 but it never worked properly when I was on Windows 8).  For me, the only way to "sync" all the smart playlists and music is to restore from backup and then the first sync seems to work.  However, I haven't tried that recently (I tried it a month back or so and it worked then) because it is ridiculous to have to restore your phone just to sync things!  Apple needs to fix the iOS 7 quality issues.

Maybe the drive letter on your exHD is getting changed. If it is F: one day and you plug in a different USB device, Windows can nicely change the exHD's letter to G: for you. That would make itunes not be able to find the music, since itunes is looking for it on F: Not G:
    Assign the drive letter permanently.
