New NF980-G65 with an AMD X6 1090T and the BIOS Update Utility Crashes?
Last week I received my new NF980-G65 board and with it an AMD Phenom II X6 1090T (Thuban 3.2GHz Socket AM3). After installing the board and starting it up for the first time I noticed that it reports BIOS version 1.1 and CPU unknown. Next I downloaded the BIOS update to version 1.3 from msi, made a boot USB stick and powered up again. System will not boot from USB. I tried now over 20 different sticks from 256MB to 64GB and none of them worked!
Went back to my old system and ripped its floppy drive out to install it in the new computer. Had to go to RadioShack since I have not touched a floppy in over 10 years, but they had some on clearance. Made me a boot disk, put the new BIOS and install utility on it, booted the system with the floppy, started the BIOS update utility and watched it crash. When I start it by itself it gives me three screens of options and commands, but as soon as I try to use one of the commands or update the BIOS it keeps crashing.
What do I have to do to get the BIOS on the NF980-G65 updated so it will run with my AMD X6 1090T processor?

What thing are you talking about? You are experiencing the a certain symptom for which you do not know the cause. For some strange reason and without any in-depth tests you seem to assume that the board must be the problem (ignoring all other components (for example your factory overclocked memory modules).

What support have you tried to get that actually has to do anything with money? Please note that this is not MSI Technical Support but a User-to-User forum, run by users (just like you) that do not get paid for donating their private time to try to help others. Whatever your level of frustration is in regards to the money spent for your components, please do not use it to insult anyone here in this forum.

thank youSoftware Update won't take you beyond 10.6.8 which is the highest incremental update for Snow Leopard. The fact that it won't let you upgrade to Mavericks suggests that your Mac is not compatible.
You should start by checking that your Mac can handle Lion, for which the requirements are:
Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, or Xeon processor
2GB of memory
OS X v10.6.6 or later (v10.6.8 recommended)
7GB of available space
The original early 2006 MacBooks have only a Core Duo processor and so are not compatible, but the models from late 2006 on have a Core 2 Duo and so should be.
Lion is available in the Online Apple Store ($19.99). You will get a code which you can use to download it from the Mac App Store. -
Brand new nf980-g65 no post after bios update
I just built a system using an NF980-G65 with a Phenom II x4 and after updating the bios it has no post.
I am not sure how to proceed. I tried removing all accessories and removing the battery but nothing helped.What bios did you flash and did flash end successfully or was it interrupted.

Im just doing a final check of facts and compatibility before i start buying my sexy new system.
It looks to me as if the best arrangement for my needs/budget is an NF980-G65 with a pair of GTX 275 (SLI).
However, reading the manual i have downloaded i notice this paragraph.

this is in the hybrid SLI section (which i wont be using) and, is referring to a single card working in conjunction with the onboard graphics chip (which i wont be doing), but i want to be 100% certain (before i buy the single most pivotal part of the new system) that the board will behave as i require and NOT disable the video outputs on the cards leaving me with just the motherboard video output
or, to be more accurate, i want to be 100% certain that it will leave me with at least 3 functional SLI outputs
(i absolutely need 3 screens on this setup (my whole workspace is built around it)... and ill probably add the 4th soon)

So I read that hybrid sli is no longer supported in windows 7.
I tried searching page after page in google and only came up with the info that some motherboards allow you to run onboard and discrete graphics at the same time... but I could not find anything specific for this board.
I also searched if I could use a gtx series card and a cheaper 8000 or 9000 series geforce in non-sli to drive 4 monitors but I could not find any good information.
Another option is to use a 5000 series ati card with a passive adapter for one of the monitors but since I already have a gtx 275, I won't be pursuing this option.
I did however find that I should be relatively safe in using a gtx 275 with a gtx 250 in non-sli to drive 4 monitors. However, this is a bit more expensive of a solution than I was hoping for, and will be my last resort if I can't get onboard working with gtx 275 or gtx 275 and a cheaper geforce series.
If anyone on these forums is running 3 or more monitors I would really appreciate if you could post and tell me how you did it. -

Then it either is a pirate clone or you are misinformed.
Apple Computer has never used AMD processors in its products.
However, the Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) is a Radeon unit, which is an AMD subsidiary. Parallels, VMWare, VirtualBox will all work fine with the Intel Core i7 or i5 CPU that powers the Mac, and use the AMD Radeon GPU that drives the displays. -

STEP 1: Open iTunes
STEP 2: Navigate to the "iTunes Store". It can be found under the "STORE" tab.
STEP 3: On the right side of the store there should be a "Quick Links" Section. Click on the "Purchased" link.
STEP 4: Navigate to the "Music" tab and click on "All Songs". Then at the bottom of the screen there will be a button that says "Download All". Click the button and your songs will be begin downloading!
NOTE: This will only work with songs that you bought from the iTunes store, if you imported them from a CD, you will have to do it again.
NOTE: You can also do this with Apps, Movies, TV Shows, and Books.
NOTE: You may have to sign in with your Apple ID to verify the download.

When using my new nano 7 with nike+, my music stops after the 30 minute voice alert even though I have set my run/workout for over 30 minutes. It also cancels/deletes that run/workout. This has happened several times. How can I keep this from happening?
If possible I would arrange for a good service center to go over it. Hopefully they have a variety of parts in stock. They can test and verify all is working. The previous attempts are based on guesses by the person at the other end of the phone without diagnostic tests to assess the culprit. It is extremely unlikely for a webcam to fail & for it & a Mic to fail together should be an indicator to a good technician it is something else. EG Motherboard

Please help!Go to iTunes Settings, on the Devices tab you will see a list of all available backups. If you don't see the one you're looking for there it doesn't exist to restore your phone to it. Also, if you want to prevent iTunes from syncing automatically you can check "Prevent...from syncing automatically" on the Devices preferences screen.
If you do see the backup you are trying to restore to listed here, you should be able to right-click on the name of your phone and select it to restore from. When you right-click on your phone you should see these choices, where "iPhone" is the name of your phone: -

The screen you're seeing on your iPhone indicates it is in recovery mode. Now since the device is not appearing in iTunes on your PC, first follow the steps in this article:

When uploading my formatted resume to my Apple Jobs profile, I am always presented with a c:\fakepath message and the resume does not upload. How can I rectify this?
Add this one to the list of thinks that don't work on the Apple Job Board. It looks like Apple is using ADP's VE (Virtual Edge) technology to run this system, and I've been stupified by the number of features that are just broken, or so poorly thought out by ADP as to be unusable, (certainly for webkit and mozilla browsers at least: I didn't bother checking IE.)
Here are a few highlights:
"My Job List", list of jobs applied for, seems to max out at three. You can apply for more than that, but you can only see the first three.
"Search Using Your Resume" feature yields few or no results, even when the pasted text contains only common, exactly matched words like 'Design' or 'Engineer'.
The missing resume upload, described in this thread.
"My Job Agent" seems to never flag anything, at least it hasn't ever for me despite pretty loose criteria.
Agent's created using "My Job Agent" eventually just disappear, which is fine because they don't seem to work.
When updating a profile, acknowledging the 'Terms' happens twice in a row.
Job seekers can only supply one cover letter despite being able apply for several jobs.
Pagination for search results only appears at the top of the page, so it's necessary to scroll down through each page, then up to the top again to proceed to the next page.
Well, I'm sure there are others, but you get the idea. I hope the Apple folks can fix this, (or twist ADP's arm to fix it,) so it better represents the quality of experience that Apple is so respected for consistently delivering. -

Im not sure wether I got you right or not. But my advice/s would be as follows:
These steps help you get rid of old apps you downloaded years ago and you do not use anymore.(Also frees space on your mac after emptying the trash)
1) go to iTunes and delete all applications in it. Make sure to move them to trash! Do not empty your trash yet. Its your backup if step 3 doesnt appear.
2) connect both your devices(one after each other) and make a backup. !!!Dont press the Sync button, press the Back Up Now Button
3) Then it asks you if you want to backup applications as well. Confirm. (This is how apps get transferred manually)
4) Then Sync your devices... The first time it might be, that there are some additional apps loaded to your devices you dont want to.. delete them on your Device (not iTunes) and after that you should be good every time you sync again.
5) now you can empty your trash on your mac.
Further,
- You should regularly connect your devices with iTunes to make sure they are backed up. (Even if you have activated iCloud backup, the iTunes backup is more proper i.e.. Apps)
- If you hate scrolling through a list of apps in iTunes, you can re/install apps directly on iOS not via iTunes. I absolutely never go to the "Applications" section in iTunes. I install and delete apps directly on iOS.
