New node added havingnamespace xmlns=""

Hi,
I am using java embedding to add a node to XML.
I am using the getDocumentOwner method on root element to get the Document and then using the createElement method to create the required node.
In the final output i see the node is getting added but it has the xmlns="" namespace. Is there anyway i can avoid this as rest of the nodes done have it.

The last IDs node is added using java code. But it has <IDs xmlns=""> namespace which is not consistent with other nodes, so i would like to get rid of it.
Please advise.

Yes. I am using the createElement(String pName).
This is in the java embedded code. One more thing is , I am getting the Document by using the getOwnerDocument() method.
Here are the steps in my java code.
1. Get the root element using the getVariableData() method.
2. Get the Document by using the getOwnerDocument() method.
3. Create the node using doc.createElement(String nodename).
4. Add the node using appendChild method.
May be this will give clear idea. I can send the code if needed.
