New nokia 3500c firmware 7.21 version

Today i downloaded the latest version of nokia 3500c 7.21 but i cant found any changes or new options on my phone. Why? Anybody noticed new changes in nokia 3500c please reply

My Italian 3500c shows the following firmware version number:
v 05.51
06-09-07
RM-272
Is the 7.21 version limited to English versions only?
Could I use it on my Italian phone or am I to stuck to the 5.51 version?
Are there any drawbacks in trying to install the 7.21 on my phone?

The software version is dependent on the product code, so if you are told that you have the no update is available then you have the latest SW version for your product code.
Apart from the fact that product codes are usually unique to a country (and in some cases to a network operator), you shouldn't have any issues regarding your region.

depends on vodafone buddy. generic firmware versions are made available before the operator branded ones. ultimately, the decision is up to nokia and vodafone as to whether or not they will release updates to your current firmware. you just have to hope that they do . by the way, what is your current firmware version?

where did you read 150.34 has bugs .
Can you tell which and what line of bugs?
Mine stuck at 100.34.20.keeps rebooting now and them.i dont think there can be a bigger bug.

Nokia N93 Firmware update UK version

I just got my N93 but its the UK version, not the USA version. And i saw on this page.. http://www.nokia.com/A4176089 , That you can update the N93. I clicked it and tried to update my phone and when i did that it said "There are no updates for your phone". Whats taht all about?? The nokia software updater says that my model is Nokia N93 (RM-55) , does that have to do with anything? Is there any way taht i can update my phone?

Reasons why a phone cannot update:
1. It is a country variant - country variants often get the updates later, or have updates skipped altogether. A Turkish country variant product code for example, skipped v40 and updated from v31 straight to v50.
2. It is network branded - phones acquired from network providers or these providers' stores SIM free are branded, and will not get updates until the networks approve and modify the updates to their liking.
3. Special editions - These special editions are chartered editions and may never get updates unless taken to a Nokia Care center.

guys the new firmware has small fonts it is not good.further iam looking for other changes in log

buddy they have improved the bluetooth. its nice.
LT font router is also not working so u have to remain with small font but psiloc font magnifier works

Update Nokia phone firmware version

How do you update phone firmware version?
1. Download Nokia pc suite and use NSU.(For Windows User only)
2. Try over the Air update (MAC/Windows User)
If your mobile data rates allow, try doing an over the air update. Support varies by phone, variant and software
Go to tools >Utilities> Device manager (location may vary by device)
There should be an updates tab
This functionality may not be available in your device. Contact your service provider for more information
To view or update the current software version of your device or to check the date of a possible previous update, select Menu> Tools> Utilities> Device mngr
To check whether software updates are available select Options> Check for Updates
First off BACK UP YOUR DEVICE! make sure you have a back up of the memory card and also the device memory and make sure that the battery of your device has enough power or connect the chager before starting update. To start the update select access point. The device starts to download the device data.
When the data is downloaded the update description is displayed. Select Accept to accept the download of the update package or cancel to cancel the download. IT may take several minutes and you can use your device during the download but not during installation time.
Server Profile Settings
Menu> tools> utilities> Device Manager
to add a new server profile seleat Options> New server profile.
Contact your service provider for correct settings
Server name- Enter a name for the configuration server
Server Id- Enter the unique ID to identify the configuaration server
Server Password- Enter a password to identify your device to server
Access point- Select the access point to connect to the server
Host Address- Enter the url address of server
Port-Enter the port number of the server
User name & password- Enter your username and password for the server
Allow configuration- To allow receiving configuration settings from this server select yes
Auto Accept all requests-To have your device ask for your confirmation before accepting configuration from this server. Select NO
Network Authentication- Select if network authentication is used. Enter your Network username and Network password to identify your device to the server.

Before updating your Nokia's firmware you should check that the newer version does not break Bluetooth and iSync abilities.
From the many reports on these and other forums, it seems people who have recently updated their Nokia phones firmware have found it impossible to get their phone and Mac to communicate.

That depends how long it has been since the phone left the factory? It is possible that some retailers have a stock that is very big, so that the phones that they sell right now have a firmware that is a few months old...

Nokia 3500c does not enter synchronization via USB

I've bought a new 3500 Classic Yesterday, and tried to synchronize it using PC Sync. The phone functions normally, with the exception of the following problem:
The phone is recognized as a USB device (see below for details), but fails with the following symptom: the "Nokia PC Sync" icon at the taskbar is grayed; a "Nokia 3500c" appears in the "Phone Selector" dialog, but is grayed; a "Nokia 3500c" appears as attached in Nokia PC Suite, however any attempt to synchronize content fails with "Refreshing Contacts Failed".
Other functionality on the USB interface appears to be working properly: I was able to copy files from my computer to the memory card in the "Data Storage" USB connection mode (as set from the phone); Windows also recognized the "USB Modem", and I was able for instance to "Query Modem" and get meaningful replies.
The same symptoms occured at 3 diferent computers, one of which is Windows XP 64-bit, and two are XP 32 bit.

then i took it to nokia care and they took 2 days and told there is some problem in an IC and it vl cost Rs650
but no guaranty that it vl work.. chanc's is 50%
(d phone is not worth Rs2000 would u spent almost Rs1000 on it and keep such low end phone for a life time..?? ..!)

use OXYGEN PHONE MANAGER 2.18
avalable in oxygen phone manager website..
3500c is a S40 platform.. so chose OXYGEN PHONE MANAGER 2.18 for non symbian phones
u can browse d site for details for which phone models it supports.. as on this day its d latest.. use ur brains and find a crack for it as its trial version.... Or else use ur credit card....!!

N82 | Nokia Maps | Firmware

Hi everybody! I am new on this forum, so don't slaugher me...
Ehm, as you can see, I own a N82. When I press *#0000#, it tells me that I have the firmware: V30.0.019.
I've heard about that many other N82 users have the V31.... firmware. But when I check the Nokia sites on my phone, it says that the V30.0.019 is the newest firmware for my phone... Why's that?
And another thing; one of my buddies also have the V30.0.019 firmware (same as me), but his GPS (Maps) is version "v2.0 wk32 b04", and I have the "v1.2 wk48 b01". In the summer of 2008 I remember that I had that version on my phone, but I have no idea why I have the v1.2 now. Anyone knows why? And how can I get the newer version? I really like the newer version better.
Aaaand another thing. I have a problem with the Map Loader.
I tried to install the Loader (again today), and the first time I clicked it, it worked perfectly! But the second time after I downloaded it, the same thing as before happened. It seems that it works like one time after installing it, and then it doesn't. Why's that? Anyone can help me? It works like a charm on the other computer in the house, but not on the laptop. I have no idea why.

Apart from the need to backup essential data, a "three finger reset" as described in Paragraph 45 FAQ to Nokia Software Updater here may well do the trick:

and by reverting to the original firmware pre-installed version of Nokia Maps it is a satisfactory point for upgrading to later ones albeit v2.0_4503 or v3.0Beta

Nokia 5610 firmware update....................

im having a little problem with my nokia 5610 firmware update.
The problem is that after updating my phone with version 8.30 the slide animation feature of my phone is not working. On slide open\close the picture set in the theme is supposed to appear but nothing appears.
Before the update this feature was working perfectly fine. i reported about this issue to nokia customer care also but they just advised me to wait for the next firmware i.e. v9.40 . As the new firmware released on my product code i again updated my phone's firmware and this time with version 9.40. Still it did not help me. The same problem persists . Please note here that nothing went wrong during the update . All other features of my phone are working perfectly fine .
Can anyone please help me on this issue??????

Hi there,
The version 10.00 for the Nokia 5610 has been around since early July, so certainly it would be available for all countries in the APAC region.
Just make sure the phone is fully charged and backed up and you're set to update.
