New or previously purchased apps won't sync even though they appear to be

When I attempt to sync a newly purchased or old app, the app icon appears on the virtual ipod screen in itunes, but then at the end of syncing and backing up, it disappears from the screen. I've attempted several times and the same thing happens over and over again. Please help! I have the latest IOS 3.1.3 THANKS!

- Are the apps compatible with the iOS 3.1.3? Most new apps and app update are not compatible with iOS 3.1.3
- Do you have any Restrictions set that would prevent syncing? Settings>General>Restrictions

I attempted using the hotel next door since I was getting a good signal from the Omni Hotel. They offered complimentary 24hr internet access using your browser as a way to track your use. Once you find the signal of the Omni it will open your browser I used Google Chrome, after it opens you go threw a few simple steps and your ready.
I learned that after the 24 hours are up all you have to do is disconnect from their network, just run Ccleaner(free program) then find the Signal of the hotel and you will be given another 24 hours. What Ccleaner(<--download there) does is clears anything attached to your browser ie cookies temp files etc. it cleans your browser history giving you a way of not paying for the hotel fee of internet and giving you free WiFi. this is only if you are next to the Omni hotel :).
What you need to download to turn your computer into a hotspot need to say is this little easy to use program Virtual Router. Once it has download test at your home to make sure it works with you devices. This will work with Tablets, Phones and other computers that cant find the Omni WiFi signal. Your welcome. To use it, is simple. Open program>make a password>select WiFi and start VR.

I got a new iphone and the apps won't sync.

The message I receive when I try to link the apps via itunes on my iphone is: "Application was not installed on the iPhone because you are not authorized for it on this computer".
I recently had my iphone replaced and had the Main logic board, top case and connector replaced on my MacBook Pro.

Podcasts won't sync even though music will

Hi all, weird issue here that seems to have come about (I think) since upgrade to iOS5:
Everything syncs across to my iPhone 4, except video podcasts. I checked all of the correct boxes are checked and iTunes sometimes even says it is copying them across during the sync. But under "Podcasts" on my iPhone it just says "No Podcasts".
When I select my iPhone under "Devices", then switch to the "Podcasts" screen, the unwatched video podcasts are checked, but greyed out... not sure what that means? Everything else syncs fine, and I'm pretty sure it's come about since the iOS 5 upgrade. I've tried unsubscribing/deleting the podcast and adding it again and re-downloading the video podcasts

Looks like Apple make it deliberately difficult to do this for copyright reasons. However, other software solutions exist to remedy the problem. I can't vouch for the effectiveness of any particular programme so it would be good to learn if you have some success!

Apps have install option even though they are already installed!

I'm talking about just the iLife Apps. I erased/installed OS X 10.8 on my mac mini and instead of using the app store to download the 3 iLife apps, I used my old iLife DVD so I can install iDVD (which I still use). Any tips on how to get rid of this annoying problem and have GarageBand, iMove and iPhoto show as update instead of install. It's like it doesn't see they are already installed!

You could try reindexing your HD. The MAS uses the Spotlight indexing in determining what apps need updating. Go to Systems Preferences / Spotlight/ Privacy; add your Hdd to the list then remove it from that list. Spotlight will then reindex your HD.

TS1424 What if I purchased files that are incomplete, even though they show that they are downloaded.

Other people have been having similar problems with songs over a number of days, I assume that there has been a problem with Apple's servers.
Depending upon what country that you are in (music can't be re-downloaded in all countries) then try deleting the incomplete tracks from your iTunes library and redownload them via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes : re-downloading.
If you aren't in a country where you can re-download music or if they re-downloads in the same state then try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via Store > View My Account and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find those albums and use the 'Report a Problem' link.

Some of my newly purchased music won't sync, even though I converted it to the proper format.

Music purchased from the iTunes Store does not need to be converted before being used on iPods. Music from most other sources, such as Amazon, is in MP3 format and does not need to be converted. So, can you explain "even though I converted it to the proper format"?

Are you, or have you ever been jail broken? If you were, and installed apps from installous, they wont work without app sync installed. You need to be jail broken to install that, and I see you're on 4.3.2, for which there is no jailbreak yet. If you werent jail broken, however, follow the above posters advice and restore in iTunes.

IPhone Reminders App Won't Sync

My iPad, iMac and iCloud web page all sync with Reminders, but not my iPhone 4. anything I enter (Reminders, Lists) on the phone only stays there and won't sync, even though I have it turned on in iCloud settings.

Sjazbec, I had already read that page, and done the steps. Nothing had worked. That was not "my fix."
My fix was actually to delete the iCloud account on the iPhone, wait a while, then to re-authenticate. Then everything synced up.
And a request Sjazbec - either engage in converstion about specific problems, or just avoid threads, but spare us the elitist attitude.

Videos won't sync to iPod, even though they show up in directory

I'm trying to sync some movies onto my iPod Touch 3rd gen. The movies are in mpeg4 and quicktime format.
I have dragged the files over successfully to my iTunes library... and these files also appear in the iPod directory for my iPod.
Now the problem: I don't understand why these movies won't show up on my iPod after I sync it?
I've retried many times with all sorts of different options clicked... but they never show up in the Videos on the iPod, even though they appear in the directory on my Mac.
Any suggestions much appreciated!

Check to make sure that the option you want is still set by looking on the Device/Music pane, where you can chhoose either the option highlighted in the picture below, or Sync Entire Music Library.

Apps won't sync to phone- not is previous purchases. Problem with apple id?

Previously purchased apps show up in itunes but not in itunes store. They were deleted from phone during upgrade and say not authorized during attempt to sync. I'm using same Apple ID but still can't sync apps. I think this may be somehow the problem as I tried to change the email address associated with my account. I changed it back but now all record of my apps (and giftcard balance) is gone except for the fact that they show up in itunes. Any ideas on how to get my apps back on my phone? Can I somehow check what apple id my apps are authorized for?

Is there anyway to download my previously purchased apps from my iPad mini to my iPad 2 without using a computer? The problem is I lost my purse or it was stolen and I am waiting for a new credit card via snail mail. What do I do in the mean time?
