New Page Format in Smartforms

Hi All,
I am working on smartforms.
I have created a new page format of width 25 cm and width 30cm according to client's requirement.
Smartform is for customer invoice which is a pre-printed and i have to get data into that.
In sform i have given the my own page format name.
Now problem is am getting print preview correctly but while giving print its givivng the error
' OUTPUT COULD NOT BE ISSUED' and print is not coming.
Please help me regarding this issue.

Hi
I have created new page format and added it to format and then to device by using SPAD.
This new page size is 8 X 6 Portrait( Is there any standard sap page format available with this size)
the problem is that when print out is taken by using script the first page of the first document is correctly printed , But from second document onward the printer scrolls more than required, the print out is taken in continues page.
Where to set the scrolling space and all

I think it is Printer problem. Check your printer settings.

How to create new Page Format

Hi Nitin,
You can create a new page format by transaction code SPAD. Here you will have to create a cutomised page format for ex: 'ZPAGE'.
After this you will have to create a format type 'ZPAGE'. Assign the page format 'ZPAGE' to format type 'ZPAGE'. Pls make sure that both the names are identical.
Once you do that you will have to assign the format type ZPAGE to the printer which you want to use.
Now you can use this page format in your script.

multiple page formats in smart forms means...
the first can be landscape, and the second one portrait...viveversa is also possible
go with tcode:smartforms,specify some name and go with create.place the cursor on 'Pages and windows' folder.on right side we will have option page format:go with f4 .u will find many page formats.

Printing Problem in New Page Format

Hi Everybody,
              I have an issue lying long time in my Company.
        Abap person asked me to create a new page format with new page sizing and all. i created it. this is actually for Voucher printing which does not require A4 size. so that i specified specific paper size in that.
     Voucher is Printing in the Specified Size, ok. But, after printing it, the printer automatically Rolls till the end of the paper.(Probably this would have taken A4 by Default)
     the issue is, we need to stop this rolling and we need to make this printing as specified.since it is continuous printing, every time we cant manually rotate the page.(Printer Epson Dot Matrix)
Is this either can be sorted out by ABAP or Basis Person.
   What can be done from Our Basis Side?

New Page Format implentation in Sap Scripts and Reports

Hi,
   I want to print Report details and also some of the SAP Script details on the paper size of 350MM width and 310MM Height in the PORTRAIT format.
   So i created new page format with these dimensions.
   How i can use this for reports. So i can set these parameters while taking output from Report.
   Pls specify if any configuration required for this.

In SAPscript, you set the Page Format for the document in the "Page Format" field of the "Basic Settings" page of the documents "Header" information. The popup list of this field will show all available formats in your system, so this is a ggod way to make sure your new format is set up properly.
For reports, page format is set either with the LINE-SIZE addition to the REPORT and NEW-PAGE commands, or through the PARAMETERS addition to the NEW-PAGE command. When you use LINE-SIZE the print system picks the format for you, based on the available formats in the systems.
I don't remember if there is an activation step for Page Formats, or if saving is all you have to do.

As I mentioned earlier, the Pages v5.5 document architecture is alien to Pages v5.2.2 on Mavericks. Yes, you can drag/drop the v5.5 document onto an open Pages for iCloud beta session. Multiple page formats in smartforms

we say that multiple page format is possible in smartforms but not in SAP Script. What does this multiple page format exactly means and whar does label means exactly in smartforms.
Please help.

Create a new page format

... Hi everybody !!!
I need to create a new page forma for a checkt: Width 165   / MM,   Height     / Unit       67    / MM
i created it in spad transaction,
Full Administration -> Extended admin -> Device Types
But when i execute the program in order to print the format the system send a message
Device type HPLJ5 does not support page Z165X67, where z165x67 is a format that i created.
I think the problem is in the the definition format Z165X67 associated to devide type, in the actions
( printer initialization, reset after exit, cover page, end of page, etc ), here uses a hexadecimal code and i don'r undestand
this, someone can give me any suggestion.

I can asociate the new format page, i can print a check, but i have a little problem, when I send to print more than 1 check,
the jump of page is not equal, so the output for the other checks is nor rigth.
   Do you have any suggestion ??

New Page COmmand in Smartforms

Hi,
My requirement is as follows,
Whenever the item number changes it has to generate a new page with the header
Whenever an item overflows it should come in a new page without the header details.
So for this I have two pages in my smartform.
Page1 - Header with item details
Page2 - Only item details without the header
I have given Page1's next page as Page2. And I have given a command whenever the item no changes it should go to Page1.
But whats happening now is whenever a new page is generated only Page 2 is coming and not the Page 1.
Any ideas??

For this simply u can put your header in the main area of the table (leave header as blank)

Dynamic New-Page Command in Smartform

Dear Experts,
I have a particular requirement of triggering New-Page after the end of Main window for displaying Terms & Conditions on the last page.
For this purpose I have designed 3 pages :
PAGE1 - Contains Main window, few Secondary windows and some Graphic windows.
               (In PAGE1 -> General Attributes -> Next Page = PAGE2)
PAGE2 - Is in continuation with PAGE1 except a few changes w.r.t. some Secondary windows.
               (In PAGE2 -> General Attributes -> Next Page = PAGE2)
PAGE3 - Contains a new Main window for displaying Terms & Conditions, few Secondary windows and
               some Graphic windows.
               (In PAGE3 -> General Attributes -> Next Page = PAGE3)
After the end of Main window in PAGE1 or PAGE2 depending on the amount of data, I have used a Command logic for triggering New-Page (PAGE3). But it always triggers PAGE2 as new page and not PAGE3.

But in case if I set a next page of page 3 to the second page, then if my Page2 contains data spreading over more than one pages, it will display Page2 once and immediately display Page3 as next page.
I will explain my requirement once again:
1. If my PO details fits on Page1 itself than my next page should be Page3(Terms & Condition page).
2. If my PO details is of more than one page, for that I have designed Page1 as first page and Page2
    for remaining pages. Once the PO details is over the next page should be Page3.

New Page triggering in SMARTFORMS

hi all
According to my requirement if the subarea of the person changes it should trigger the new-page. I have written the new-page command in Event on sort begin. It is triggering when the subarea changes but the last record of previous subarea is repeating into the next page when there is only one record in the pervious page, with more records of the same personnel subarea in the pervious page.
If the subarea is having only one record it is printing in a new page and the next subarea is also printing in the new page correctly.
If the last page of a particular subarea is having more than 1 record, the next subarea is printing correctly in the next page.
The problem is coming only when one record is printing in a page and there are some more records of the same subarea in the pervious page. The record is getting printed in the last page is repeating again in the next page with the changed subarea.
pls give me the solution.

hi guys
*In smartforms what is the pageformat for 132 column paper i.e 360 * 310 mm is there any standard pageformat provided by sap or have to create a new one ,,,how to create a new pageformat.*

create the new page format in SPAD tcode. Go to the device where u want to create the page format as per the requriement.

CREATE EDITION CLASS FOR PAGE FORMAT

Hi,
I have a sales form in SapScript, for which I created a page format "ZFCONT" in continuous form (305 mm. x 225mm.).
Now the system needs to create a "editing class" to associate the new page format (ZFCONT).
What are the steps to create the "editing class".
There is another necessary step to enable it to print?

Well, this should be a system problem (refresh) because the day after, without any change in SPAD nor anyplace else, the smartforms is recognizing the page type I've created.

Second o/p been printed from first page due to page format

Dear All,
I have created a new page format with width 210 mm and height 290 mm and included it a smartform for invoice printing that I have created.The problem is that when i take a printout of the invoice program it prints the first page perfectly,but when I take printout of the next invoice,it starts printing from the same page itself ,hence the second invoice is printed on the first and the second page .Other page formats are been printed correctly.The problem is only with the this page format that i have created.Even if i Change the width and height of the page format from SPAD ,the output remains the same.Please help.

Hi,
I am not sure which device type you are using, but it is possible you need to add some commands in the sections below from SPAD:
SPAD -> Full Admin -> Device Types -> <Device Type> -> Formats -> <Format> -> End of page
E.g. In a windows device type like SAPWIN, the command below is needed:
formfeed
\f
This ensures that there is a formfeed after each page. You can check the standard page formats such as DINA4 to see which commands are required for your device type. Also for some device types, commands are needed in the printer intialization section for your custom page format to tell the printer the length of the page.
SPAD -> Full Admin -> Device Types -> <Device Type> -> Formats -> <Format> -> Printer Initialization
Again you can check the standard page formats like DINA4 or LETTER as a reference.
