New Palette "View"

Hi!
The current tool for defining my view is very useful. Unfortunately, its use is quite wet behind the ears ...
It would be great if you can create, modify, and edit views with keyboard shortcuts separate from the comfortable palette.
I leave for evaluation.

Palette view not showing the contents of palette set

Hi!
I am new in the community, so "Hi everybody!" and thanks for your help
My problem: I have a scientific camera that has its own drivers and VI's for Labview. I have installed the camera properly, and I have already created a folder and copied the .llb archives on it.
When I open any of the examples to start working with it, I can see in the palette view, in the user controls, my folder. But inside the folder there is nothing. I can not find the llb's or VI's that I expected.
I have tried to go to Advanced/Edit Palette Set, but I don't know what to do, because I can find there all the .llb and VI's. so it seems that everything is correct. But it is not, because I can't see any of them in the normal palette view.
Can sby tell me what am I mising? There should be sth that I haven't done correctly, but I don't know what.

Hey, welcome to the forums
The sets of Vis and llbs for your camera are known as an Instrument Driver. You have to extract these to a specific location so that LabVIEW can update the pallet sets using .mnu files included in the driver files.
The location is C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 2014\instr.lib\
Try moving your files there and then restarting LabVIEW.

Where is the data palette view?

We are using the Ellipse come along with Weblogic Portal 10.3.2 for a new project development.
We are unable to find the data palette view which is the very useful feature provided by previous Workshop.

Data palette displays the all the variables the JSP page can use and devleopers just need to drag the variable into JSP instead now to type manfully like ${pageContext.request.requestURI}
Anyone can advise on it?

I should also add that you will need to make sure the JSP is opened with the "Web Page Editor". There are multiple editors that can be used to edit a page (Eclipse has a "JSP Editor" and a "Text Editor" associated to JSP files as well). The Palette view in the "Web Page Editor" contains the "Data Palette" you are looking for. It will display page variables and managed beans (for JSF) that you will be able to drag and drop. OEPE also has content assist support that should help with writing EL expressions as in your example.

Edit palette views, templates

Some questions on editing the palette views and templates in the New-Dialog:
* Is it possible to have a control template selectable in the New Dialog?
* If I place a template Vi on the functions palette, it is dropped as the original Template vit file. I would like to have it dropped as new Vi, same behaviour as when using 'Select a VI', but skip the file browsing.
* How can I place assorted VIs that are 'built in control or function'. I have seen the Data To Variant on the OpenG Variant Palette.

You need to pin the palette, than you can right click the VIT this will give an option to create a VI from the template

If you edit the palettes you can add primitives (if I'm not mistaken)

Can new PWA views be created whereby a filter can be set and associate to the view by default? (Project Server 2013 ONLINE)

My main question is: Can new PWA views be created whereby a filter for that view can be set, and associate to the view by default? (Project Server 2013 ONLINE)? and can I have a filter set to filter on person logged on to...
In previous versions of Project Server, when CREATING a PWA view, we were able to apply/ define a filter for that view. Does not seem like it is the case in Project Server 2013 Online. And if I remember, we could also use the URL Guid_view_id.
Please confirm; and / or tell me how-to.
What I was hoping to do is the following... Given that our standard that we have adopted for reporting time is 'My Timesheets' (fyi, Single Mode Entry=ON), we have some resources who have others who do it on their behalf via 'My Tasks' (ie., accomplished
by using the 'Assignment Owner' field, accordingly). Therefore, when entering time on someone else's behalf within 'My Tasks', we like to present the user that is logged in only the tasks that they are are assigned to update on others' behlaf.
I know that there is another more elegant approach to doing this which may be to use the Delegation feature. But since we are trying to stick to Sharepoint Security mode for now, this is not an option for the time being.
Any help appreciated would be greatly appreciated.

1- You still can define in Project Online a filter in the view settings, it is located just above the category setting. Here is a screenshot of the summary project center view:
2- The view GUID is not anymore in the URL, since the URL triggers an action only on the webpart and not on the whole page. I agree this is annoying since it was great to send a URL with a specific view.
3- Concerning the access to my timesheet versus my task, I'm not sure to get a full understanding but on a general way, it is much more easy to deal with those situation using categories which you cannot do with the SP permission mode.

How to create new Standard views in BPEL worklist

Hi all,
we want to use the BPEL Sample Worklist and customize it. Among others we want to modify the existing standard views (like "High Priority Tasks" etc.) and add new ones.
According to a tech note ("http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/ias/bpel/htdocs/orabpel_standardviewtechnote.html", actually the only one we found!) on the Oracle Tech Network we modified the XML file (StandardTaskViews.xml) that defines the original standard views.
That xml file is located in the bpm-services.jar file under $[oracle.home]/bpel/system/services/lib.
But when restarting the server all standard views disappeared, even after replacing the changed jar file with the original one!?
So how can we create new standard views!?

But what happens if a new user is created after you have set the VIEWOWNER column to all users!? This user won't have that view!? Or is there a chance to set the VIEWOWNER column to something like "ALLUSERS"!?
In our understanding this is exactly what Standard views represent: A view that is available to all users. So it would be very handy if one could easily define new standard views instead of creating a custom view and make it available to all (currently existing) users...

FI substitution rule for Business area on New GL view(FAGLFLEXA)

Need a your expertise guidance.
We have a requirement to substitute u2018Business areau2019 field on GL view(table u2013 FAGLFLEXA) for all FI postings.. I am trying to achieve this by OBBH substitution rule using user exit, Is this possible anyway??
I have already worked with my developer, but he is not getting any clue to write a logic in the user exits available in OBBH.. can anyone please guide us..
Actual requirement is to update u2018Business areau2019 field on all FI postings at new GL view for some of the company codes (not all), I am not sure if we can achieve it by activating document splitting by business area field.. we have document splitting active already by profit center and segmentu2026
Please guide me..

If you add the Business area is document splitting char's with Mandatory check box
then reach and very line will update the business area value in Doc splitting.
But you allready have profit center as a doc splitting char's
If you want to Business area is new doc splitting char's then you need
go for NewGL migration.
Please refer the NewGL migration scenario 6, 7 for your case.

Link to discussion detail view or flat view gets broken If new subject view is created

Whenever I try to create new subject view of discussion board with different name, the link to flat view for discussion detail is broken rather it opens the new subject view again. Does anyelse had this problem? and is

Hi Alamzeb,
According to your description, my understanding is that when you click the subject in the new subject view, it opened the new subject view rather than going to the Flat view.
I could reproduce this issue. To fixing this issue, we need to modify the new subject view, and set it to show this view in the top-level folder. You can do as opening the view->Modify View->Folders, under ‘Show this view’, select ‘In the top-level
folder’, click OK.

Hi,
have a look how dynamic tables are created (using af:forEach to iterate the attribute Defs for generating columns). Your approach is similar except that you not only need to know about attributes but also the rows to fecth
1. create a tree binding for the view object
2. create the binding with one hierarchy
3. ensure all attributes are deleted for the tree binding (you do this manually in the PageDef)
4. when executing the query for a new SQL, call clearForRecreate() on the DCIteratorBinding instance
5. On the page, use af:forEach to create the form fields and labels for each row. Like for dynamic tables, you first need to determine the attributes to render (its a nested loop you are going for
6. Updates of the form fields must be through a managed bean

New custom viewer v25 - few thoughts

i have few remarks for new custom viewer v25, which i've just prepared for one of our apps
- cover image for already downloaded folios is shown in low res compared to not downloaded folios (see screenshot - issue 01/2013 and 12/2012 are downloaded on device and covers are in lower quality than other covers)
- viewer still don't show Description
- i can't see what's free content and what's paid (for free sample issues) - do you really think that customer will tap through all issues to find one for free???
So this update is quite a disappointment for me. I hoped for improvements, but beside larger folio covers in standard view there are no other improvements and price/free information is now hidden from customer. Adobe, are you serious?

I don't understand what you have updated. All issues have same cover (1024x768, it's on iPad mini), so what i should update and why? Doesn't make sense. Just covers of downloaded issues are shown in low res and it's Adobe's fault, that they can't download full image from they server, or whatever.
Puting price/free tags on cover - yes, that's what came to my mind too, but hell, i don't want to make workarounds for Adobe's fault decisions! And i can't put exact price on cover, because issues are sold on App Store in € and on Google Play in local currency. So this is not making our live easier at all.
Again and again - new update and new disapointments. DPS is not fun anymore.

Metadata like new palette

Hello everyone,
I have recently started to use ExtendScript and Bridge SDK. My task is to display additional set of data in a new palette that looks like Metadata, i.e. It should have colapsible headings, two columns, left column bolded with right alignment etc.
I have tried to imeplement this with TreeView, however it does not support two columns, ListBox does not support multi levels, etc
Does anyone have a clue how to implement new palette or panel that looks like Adobe Bridge metadata panel.

Adding my old folios to new Adobe Viewer

With the new Adobe Viewer you can not add old folios through itunes. Is it possible to add them through Acrobat.com in any way? I've tried uploading a .folio file to Acrobat.com but it won't show up in my Adobe Viewer library. I hope I won't have to rebundle all my old projects to be able to view them on the iPad...

New Comp Viewer Missing

What happened to the new comp viewer option?...Please tell me I just can't find it. It was crucial to my workflow.

In After Effects CC 2014.1 (13.1), click on the name of the composition (blue text) to open the viewer menu. Same for the Layer and Footage viewer panels.
