New password and email address won't transfer to ipod

Hello,
my mom owns an 8GB itouch. Recently I changed her account password and email address. However, this information won't transfer to her ipod; it still asks for the old password before downloading an app. The problem with this is, that she doesn't remember her old password, or her new one for that matter. I've tried to access her new account but now iTunes tells me that the account is locked and I won't be able to get a new password.
Thank you so much for any help you could give me!

I did reset the iPod back to factory settings, and after that all selected tracks in my iTunes Library were properly synchronised again.
Still wondering though if there'd been a less 'drastic' measure.

  • How do I change password and email address?

I cannot change my password and email address because I am based in the UK and not in the US. When I try to make a change and save it, it says I have made a mistake on the fields marked red and asks me to complete the parts in red including: the state I live in and because I am not in a state it doesn't allow me to change my details. It also has a problem with my country's telephone code. Does anyone know how to resolve this?

  • New iPad user; confused after apple ID change of password and email address. New details NOT recognised by iCloud and actual iPad? Help! Thank you

I'm new to my iPad & Apple!
I have updated/ changed details within my Apple ID; email, contact details and changed password.
This has worked & recognised when using updated password for use with Apple's web site (e.g. Able to login to this site) & all other apps with the EXCEPTION of iCloud and also my actual iPad ("internal/own" software/OS I would presume?!).
Shortly after turning my iPad on, the Apple ID request pops up showing my old email address. I have tried entering old & new passwords which both fail. I now cancel this request and continue ok.
This also happens with iCloud: as just mentioned, the request for Apple ID comes up with old email address and neither old or new passwords are accepted (& therefore I can not back-up to iCloud).
    Can anyone help please?
    With anticipated appreciation and thanks,
    NJohnR
(Maybe I should mention that while I live in the UK; Scotland, I am currently on holiday in France while I have made further changes to my ID password, though was at home when made initial changes).

    I have resolved this problem!
I try &change my email details within my iPad's iCloud settings. Though the primary (old) email could not be changed.
So I took advice from further searches here & on the iCloud site & went ahead and deleted my iCloud account. Success! Immediately after deleting the account I had a request to open & login to a new iCloud account with my new Apple ID login details already there (showing my new email address & requesting my password- all which worked fine). Also I have not lost any files.
I hope that this may help someone else in the future.
    Happy Appleing all

  • Not completely sure how this happened, but daughter changed my apple ID name, password, and email address 2 days ago and I can't find an easy way to undo this.  And I don't know what the new info is.  Any suggestions?

All I have is the email from Apple informing me about the change to my account, but without any specifics. And my daughter doesn't know what they are  So I went and created a "new" account using all my original information, even keeping my password the same, but I'm still considered a "new" account and my ITunes Match can't be accessed, nor can I see any of my past purchases.

To change the iCloud ID on your device you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password to turn off Find My iPhone when prompted, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use.

  • Forgot itunes password and email address no longer valid

I'm trying up download apps on my iPad and I have 3 problems:-
    1.  the default email address on iTunes no longer exists (was my husbands old email)
    2.  I don't know the password
    3.  When I select security questions and put in my birth details it says they aren't valid either
    Any suggestions please?
I have another apple ID but It always defaults to the one that isn't valid, is there a way of changing the default ID to my own?
    Thanks

Is it not the case that if you reset to factory settings then you won't be able to retrieve the apps you've already paid for which are assigned to the old password
I have this exact same problem

  • I shared an ipod 5th generation with my ex partner and she set it up with her email and password. how can i change it for my password and email address so that i can wipe it and start again?

i shared an ipod 5th gen with my ex partner and she set it up with her email and password. i have the ipod now but no password and would like to put it on my email and password so that i can wipe it clean and start again, any ideas?

The iPod isn't tied to an Apple ID, but is likely tied to an iTunes library. If you want to set it up as a new iPod (as if you were just pulling it out of the box), restore it to factory settings in iTunes.

  • I would like to remove my old skype accounts and have to password and email address

Hi my concern is that in the past I have opened few profiles and wish to remove them but have no longer any details of the password or e-mail address I have opened them under. Is there any other way I can remove them..Please advise me

you can install and use on up to two computers at any one time with your single-user license so you need not sign out from your old computer's cc app.
but if you no longer want cc on your old computer, open your desktop cc app and sign out, http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/sign-in-out-creative-cloud-desktop-app.html
to install on your new computer go here and download the cc desktop app using your adobe id, Download Adobe Creative Cloud apps | Free Adobe CC trial

  • HT2534 I installed the Kobo app and the logo appears on my screen but when I try to activiate it, my password and email address is not recognizied.  Is my password the same as my Apple ID password?

I installed the Kobo app on my Ipad mini and the logo appears on my screen b ut when I try to activate it a password is asked for.  I entered my Apple ID password.  Is this not correct?

No, you need to use the account id and password that you've set up with Kobo, the app is linked to your account with them so that you can download your kobo purchases into it

  • New buys from iTunes Store won't transfer to iPod

Earlier I posted about losing 1 authorisation because of changing the motherboard of my computer. Once I found out how to authorise the new one all seemed oke again; authorisation error disappeared.
However I've found I'm missing over 50 tracks on my iPod.
They still are in the iTunes Library though. I bought about 10 more tracks yesterday and synchronised my iPod. The songs did not get transfered. They have been selected in the iTunes Library. I'm lost.
How come some earlier and some newly bought tracks don't get synchronised no more? Only things that have happened is
    A. I changed my motherboard (but authorised the computer again after doing so)
    B. I re-installed lates version of iTunes (7.3.2.6)

I did reset the iPod back to factory settings, and after that all selected tracks in my iTunes Library were properly synchronised again.
Still wondering though if there'd been a less 'drastic' measure.

  • Changing isp and email address

I am moving at the end of March, 2014, and will have a new ISP and EMAIL address.  Will this have any impact on the current account info registered to my IPAD2 and my ability to access the App store and ITUNES.

  • HT2486 HOw do I transfer contact numbers and email address from my Mac to my new iphone?

How do I transfer contact numbers and email address from my Mac to my new iphone?

Connect your iPhone 4S to your Mac using the iPhone’s USB cable, and then use iTunes to transfer your contacts from to the iPhone. (An alternate way is to use iCloud.)
I’m not sure what you mean by “transferring email address” from the Mac to the iPhone. But if you mean you want to access your email from the Mac and the iPhone, the best way is to configure your email account over IMAP in Mail on both devices.

  • HT204053 I have iPad 2 and recently changed my Internet Service Provider and email address. I have created a new Apple I.D. and password but when I try to access or open my iPad 2 I am asked for the password for my previous email address.

I have iPad 2 and recently changed my Internet Service Provider and email address. When I switch on the iPad I am asked for my password for
my previous providerwhich when entered is not acceptable. I am told to create a new passord but this only changes the password for my current
address. I am now unable to access iPad and I need to know how to circumvent this.

Roger, thank you.  I wish I had sent out this question a month ago, when I committed the folly of creating another apple id with my alternate email address.  Since then, I had realized that I didn't seem to need it, hence today's post.
So now what do I do?  Is there anyway to delete that unecessary apple id?
And it is even worse than that...the secondary address listed currently in our apple id is a mobile me one that my husband created, but never uses, never checks, and probably doesn't even remember the password for.
