New pc... how to get to my TV season pass?

I used to use a laptop for my iTunes purchases, but that machine took a nosedive. I've got iTunes installed on my home desktop pc now, but nothing will download. I've selected the download pre-purchased content, but nothing. The 'Check for Available Downloads' just returns 'All purchases have been downloaded for this account.' ??

iTunes will not download anything that has been already downloaded for your account even if it was on another computer. If you have not backed up your content on your previous computer you have now lost the content.

  • IOS warning new 'Pages' How to get rid of it

I don't want to use Maverick(I tried with complete Keychain disaster bug and all) and I don't want Pages 13!
Using Pages 9 on iOS and Mac OS 10.8.x is okay for me.
How to get rid of the iOS in-app warning to update Pages?

You can hide your purchases, which you can do from the QuickLinks > Purchased option from the main page in the iTunes Store on your computer. This won't hide any apps that are on your device, just those in your purchase history when you go to re-download any. Whether it will stop the new app update available messages, I'm not sure.

  • NEW COMPUTER - HOW TO GET MY SOFTWARE ON THIS ONE

I have just got a new computer as my old one - which had creative suites on - broke. how do I get access to my software on my new computer?

    Hi,
You can do a fresh installation using the installer bits available at the following link/location Download CS5.5 products
For suites, you need to download and copy both .7z and .exe in the same folder. Clicking .exe will extract all relevant installer files. You can then install the suite. Use your existing Serial number when prompted.

  • New computer --- how to get my iPod on it??

I got a new computer and I don't want to risk losing everything I already have in my iPOD. How do I transfer? Sorry, I'm a beginner to all of this!

1). Connect your iPod to your new computer. If it is set to sync automatically you'll get a message that it is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press "Cancel". Pressing "Erase and Sync" will irretrievably remove all the songs from your iPod.
Alternatively open iTunes first and go to Edit>Preferences>Devices and check the box "Disable automatic syncing for iPhones and iPods" and choose Ok. Then connect your iPod.
2). When your iPod appears in the iTunes source list change the update setting to manual, that will let you continue to use your iPod without the risk of accidentally erasing it. Check the "manually manage music and videos" box in Summary then press the Apply button. Also when using most of the utilities listed below your iPod needs to be enabled for disc use, changing to manual update will do this by default: Managing content manually on iPod and iPhone
3). Once you are connected and your iPod is safely in manual mode there are a few things you can do to restore your iTunes from the iPod. iTunes will only give you the option to copy your iTunes Store purchases directly from an iPod to the computer, you'll find details in this article: Copying iTunes Store purchases from your iPod or iPhone to a computer
For everything else (music from CDs, other downloads etc) there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod. You'll find that they have varying degrees of functionality and some will transfer movies, videos, photos, podcasts and games as well. You can read reviews and comparisons of some of them here:
Wired News - Rescue Your Stranded Tunes
    Comparison of iPod managers
A selection of iPod to iTunes utilities:
TuneJack Windows Only (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
SharePod Windows Only (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
    iPod2PC Windows Only
    iDump Windows Only
    YamiPod Mac and Windows
iPod Music Liberator Mac & Windows
    Floola Mac & Windows
iPodRip Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
iPod Music Liberator Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
Music Rescue Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
iGadget Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
iRepo Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
iPod Access Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
TouchCopy Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
There's also a manual method of copying songs from your iPod to a Mac or PC. The procedure is a bit involved and won't recover playlists but if you're interested it's available on page 2 at this link: Copying Content from your iPod to your Computer - The Definitive Guide
4). Whichever of these retrieval methods you choose, keep your iPod in manual mode until you have reloaded your iTunes and you are happy with your playlists etc then it will be safe to return it auto-sync.
5). I would also advise that you get yourself an external hard drive and back your stuff up, relying on an iPod as your sole backup is not a good idea and external drives are comparatively inexpensive these days, you can get loads of storage for a reasonable outlay: Back up your iTunes library by copying to an external hard drive

  • Getting a new computer-how to get ITunes purchases onto it

  • When I click on an email link it opens in the email window instead of opening a new window, how to get it to open a new window instead

It's Comcast email, most links are to articles from the Wall Street Journal. Lately an email from Charles Schwab broker with a link to a pdf file has been doing the same. When I click on the link, it opens within the email frame, which is about 1/3 filled up with the toolbar, mailboxes, headings etc. If it opens with 2 bars on the right side to move down, I can see the whole article, but often it opens with only one bar on the right side which will not let me get all the way to the end of the page.
It's been happening for several weeks. I got a new computer and it's still happening. Comcast sounds like they've never heard of it. Most recently happened today. I tried the same email link with IE and it opened a new window.

Firefox sent an email to me to confirm that I had asked the above question. The email had a link to click. When I clicked it from Firefox, nothing happened. Then I opened IE, signed into Comcast, opened the email, clicked the link, and it brought me here.

  • Got new nano and new laptop - how to get songs on both?

My old nano does not work, purchased a new Nano 16 gb.   Also have new laptop and would like to get songs onto new laptop and new nano.   What should I do first?  New laptop is Windows 7, old is Windows XP.   I do have an external hard drive that I can use to back up songs from old computer.

The external is perfect. You will want to locate your music on the Win XP hard drive and move it to the external, then bring the external to the new Win 7 PC and drag the music in to a folder there.
If you have iTunes already installed then you will need to drag the music in to iTunes once you've moved it to the PC.
If iTunes is not installed you're good, just install iTunes and it will pick up the music automatically.
Then connect iPod and sync ^^v

  • New SSD: How to get into Recovery?

    Hi,
I am going to be installing a SSD into my 2011 15" Macbook Pro. After I install the SSD, how should I boot into OS X Recovery? Should I use Internet Recovery even though my Mac came with OS X 10.7; Now running 10.10.1? Or should I create an OS X Recovery USB Drive? Once I get into Recovery, I will use my Time Capsule restore to my SSD.

    Hi mikecao2000,
As OS X Recovery is dependent on having the recovery parition on your MacBook Pro's current working hard drive present, you will be unable to use this once that drive is removed. See this article about using Recovery -
OS X: About OS X Recovery - Apple Support
Note that if you use Internet Recovery, the original OS X version that came with the computer (in your case Mac OS X 10.7 Lion) will be reinstalled.
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
    Best,
    Brett L

  • I am new "help" (how to get started)

Hi guys I am a drafter and i have been wanting to change careers for a while i like a more technical job instead of drawing lines all day long it get kind of boring, i want to be a DBA Admin and i am not sure what classes or requirements i would need to get a job as one any help would be appreciated thankz.

    Hi,
i want to be a DBA Admin and i am not sure what classes or requirements i would need to get a job Every year, young computer professionals leave the hallowed halls and ivory towers of college and survey the landscape for computer jobs. They look at the salary surveys and drool at the prospect of earning up to $250k per year as a DBA. Many of them don't know what a DBA does, but they sure like the money.
The most important thing to remember is that the job of a DBA requires a 24x7 commitment. Being an Oracle DBA can be a very stressful, thankless job, and many DBA jobs require the DBA to be on-call on Thanksgiving and Christmas to perform downtime maintenance. Plus, the DBA is expected to constantly keep-up with the rapidly-changing technology, working nights and weekends on a regular basis.
It's not uncommon for a DBA to earn as much as a mid-level manager, and the high pay is a double-edged sword. The DBA must constantly justify their salary, and a good DBA who automates many of their job functions may find themselves looking for a new job.
I have more notes here, on becoming an Oracle DBA:
    http://www.dba-oracle.com/t_how_to_become_an_oracle_dba.htm
    Hope this helps. . .
