New PC purchase song transfer

I purchased a new PC- after 8 years, is there a way to sync the songs uploaded from CD's to my iTunes Music onto the new PC from the old PC?
I have only successfuly transfered songs purchased from the iTunes store..

The easiest way would be to buy iTunes match on the old pc. This way it would match your ripped cd library and give you access to those tracks from the iTunes store. Then you would simply turn on iTunes match on your new pc and voila all the songs would show up in iTunes. The other options are to manually re-rip your CDs OR use a flash drive or external hard drive and transfer your songs to this drive and then transfer them to the new pc and put them in User(your windows pc acct)/my music/iTunes/iTunes media. I'm not on my PC right now but I believe that's the right directory. If I were you I would use iTunes match since its just so convenient and you can access and download your music to your pcs, iPod touch, iPhone or iPad very easily and they will always be backed up in the cloud. $25 is a small price to pay for such a service! Hope this helps!

  • Itunes problems with new nano, purchased songs

Hello all. I am having a few problems with my itunes and newly purchased nano that hopefully you guys can give me some advice on. First of all, when i plug in my nano, it does not recognize it unless i close itunes and reopen it. Then, it takes a few minutes to open and acts like it is a new nano every time i open it. Meaning, it asks me to name the nano and asks me to apply all the settings etc. After that it works. I then can eject it. If I then re open itunes, with my nano not plugged in, itunes thinks that my nano is plugged in and says its corrupted. If i attempt to do anything in itunes, it freezes up.
In an unrelated problem, i am forced to authorize my computer to play my purchased songs every time i open itunes. It never remembers when I authorize it.
Thanks in advance for your help i definitely appreciate it!

OK, could not resist. I did go ahead and put my old run history back into the new & now restored Nano. No problems. Everything is fine. (Be remember, this is not something that is supported or approved by Apple or Nike.)
There may be no connection between adding the old run data files to the new Nano and the sound & freezing problems. Others have already complained about those.
However, what I will say is that you should never mess around with the Nike+ xml "Preferences" file or the "Best" file. These are invisible for a reason. You can put your old xml run data files into your "latest" folder and thus get them on your new Nano, but you CANNOT change your Totals on your new Nano no matter what you muck around with. However, if you try it and things go wrong, doing a "restore" should save the day.
And it should save the day for sound problems and recurring Nano freezes unless you have a defective Nano.

  • Computer crashed, ipod synced to new computer, purchased songs are gone.

My computer crashed. I used EphPod to download my ipod mini onto the new computer. It looked like all the songs were transfered so when I went to resync it in Itunes, I clicked "erase and resync". Then a window popped up saying that some songs wouldn't be transfered because the computer was authorized to play them. I clicked resync anyway since I have no way to deauthorize the computer that crashed. I thought EphPod had downloaded the purchased songs. It didn't. Is there any way I can retreve my purchased songs? Are they stored in my Itunes account or something?
    Thank you for your help.

The policy on lost purchases is that you have to pay to download them again:
"Once a Product is purchased and you receive the Product, it is your responsibility not to lose, destroy, or damage the Product, and Apple shall be without liability to you in the event of any loss, destruction, or damage."
You could try contacting the iTunes Music Store Customer Service and you might be able to persuade them to sanction a second free download. There have been occasional reports in the iTunes forum of this happening, however just be aware that they are not under any obligation to do so. If you click on any of the links on this page you'll find a space at the bottom to email your query: iTMS Customer Service

  • Purchased songs transfer

I reformatted my computer and forgot to backup my purchased songs. How can I get them back?

Sorry, but officially Apple does not allow redownloads of purchased tracks. It's your responsibility to make backup copies in case something goes wrong with your system, as unfortunately it apparently did in your case, and you lose all the information on your hard drive. If you haven't made a backup, and don't have your tracks on an iPod, you're probably out of luck and will need to repurchase your tracks.
You can try contacting iTunes Music Store Customer Service and explaining what happened. Reportedly in some cases Apple has allowed redownloading on a one-time basis, but don't count on it.

  • Why won't all of my purchased songs transfer from my iphone to my laptop

i got a new laptop and i tried downloading all of my songs that i purchased from itunes on my phone to the itunes library on my computer and only 206 of the 802 songs were transferred and i can't find out why.

If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copy of the track and try redownloading a fresh one. See the following document for instructions:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
Otherwise, I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the item that is not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the item, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" link next to the item.

  • Uploading Previously purchased songs to new computer

I'm having trouble tranferring previously purchased songs from my IPOD nano to my new lap top. When I attempt to transfer, about 25 of my 100 previously purchased songs transfer and the remainder do not. Something about not being authorized to transfer to this computer. All 100 songs were purchased off I-Tunes.

I am having similar problems. I have my library (and playlists) on my new computer, the new compte has been authorised and the previously purchased songs play on the computer. However, since then I have connected my ipod for a update and all my previously purchased songs were removed from my ipod. Why has it done this? The songs are still in my new computer and are playable. Can they be put back on my ipod?

  • Is there a way to transfer purchased songs from one iTunes account to a new iTunes account?

This is a bit difficult to explain so bear with me! My two little sisters, years ago, started buying music off the iTunes store. It was my account so now i have all their purchased songs and apps on my account. At the time they were too little to have thier own email so I just let them do it on mine, I didn't see any problem with it. However, now that I am on iCloud and they all have iphones, I am stuck with all their contacts, music, games, etc. I do not want their music so I am wondering if there is a way to transfer their purchased items onto a new iTunes account that I will set up for them (they are in high school now and have their own emails, etc.) I have searched online and haven't found a solution to this. Please help! I understand that only one account can have rights to a song, but I would like to transfer their purchased songs to a new account.

Purchases cannot be transferred to a new Apple ID.
You can stop receiving their info by signing out of iCloud.

  • How can I find my playlists in this new interface?  And then, how can I transfer newly purchased songs to a playlist?

how can I find my playlists in this new interface?  And then, how can I transfer newly purchased songs to a playlist?

iCloud does not store messages for you to see/access at icloud.com.  It does back up messages so you can restore your iPhone if it ever needs to be reset to factory default.  A backup is an image of all your data on the iPhone, and if you delete some messages, then they won't be part of any further backups.
If two people use the same iCloud account, then their devices are kept in sync, just like a single user's multiple devices are kept in sync.  It's usually a good idea to have separate accounts for two people, since it's rarely the case that they want each phone to be an exact replica of the other.
Your iphone syncs contacts, events, camera roll, and many other things without the use of a computer.

  • How do i transfer already purchased songs from my computer to my new iPhone

how do i transfer already purchased songs from my computer to my new iPhone

Connect the phone to your computer and select it on the left-hand sidebar of your computer's iTunes (if the left-hand sidebar isn't showing then control-S should get it to show) and then use the Music tab on the right-hand side of the iTunes screen to select the music that you want in the phone's Music app and and sync/apply that selection.

  • How do I transfer non-purchased songs to a new mac?

My other apple products are synced via icloud and i wouldnt have a problem transfering the itunes songs into a new mac. the problem is that i have non-purchased songs and I dont know how to transfer them into the new mac. Does anyone know how can i transfer non-purchased content into itunes? Thanks for the help

Unless you're able to restore them from the hard drive, you'll need to either do so from a backup or reload them from the original source.

  • I've lost my iPod so bought a new one and now I can't transfer my old purchased songs

I've purchased my new iPod and it won't let me move my old purchased songs from my iTunes to my new iPod. Is there anyway of getting around this or will I have to repurchase them? Thank you

If when you connect the iPod to your computer iTunes does not see the iPod then to get data off the iPod you need to go to a Data Recovery company. Not cheap.
    However,
    - If they are in an iPod backup (those in the iPod's Saved Photos/Camera Roll album are) then restore from that backup. See the restore topic of:
    iOS: How to back up
    - If they are in the iTunes backup then get them from the backup by:
Recover iPhone, iPad or iPod photos from backups with Picturescue
    - If you used PhotoStream then try getting them from your PhotoStream. See that topic of:
iOS: Importing personal photos and videos from iOS devices to your computer

  • My Ipod will not transfer all of its songs to purchased Itunes song transfer.  My last pv crashed, I dont have access to it any more.  I want my library back on Itunes.  ANy help?

My Ipod will not transfer songs.  my old PC crashed and could not recover anything from it.  When I purchased my new Dell, when I loaded Itunes back on to it my content library will only transfer over purchased Itune songs.  I have tons of songs I downloaded from the old "CD" onto my new Itunes account from my Ipod.  Any help?

so then technically I can't transfer the songs off my ipod to my itunes library?  since it is one 1 transfer from pc to ipod...correct?  So when I synch my ipod the warning screen comes up and says "there are content not in the library, erase and synch library to Itunes, only purchased songs can transfer."   Can I leave the songs on my ipod and when I purchase new songs to itunes I can still transfer those correct?  while having the others on there that wont transfer?
