New Photos Never Show Up in iPod

I've searched and found references for old photos in iPod being deleted when uploading, but I have the opposite problem:
When I add new photos to the same folder and upload, only the old photos seen in the ipod, the new ones are not.
I check the box specifying the folders every time as I sync the iPod, and iTunes always seems to know that more photos have been added to the folder (number of photos in the folder keeps going up appropriately), but when I go the the ipod itself after uploads, no new photos?
Thanks for any help!

Hello . I had the same issue! And also tried everything you did. I had no luck but then i just simply right-clicked my devices name and pressed " import pictures ad videos" next,  should appear a box in the corner and should say on top " import pictures and videos" and should have a green bar counting the number of pictures it is importing so far. After it has imported all of your pictures, go to your start menu, click Documents, click Desktop then Libraries and Pictures and you will see all of your pictures hopefully. ok now you would go to itunes click on the "Photos" label ,make sure the box all the way to the left of the words "Sync Photos From "folder name" is checked off, click the folder box and choose " Choose Folder.." , click on Desktop, choose Libraries then pictures, click on the folder that is filled with your pictures, press "select Folder" , click "sync" and your pictures are hopefully all uploaded to your computer! Hope I helped GoodLuck!
P.S i'll also send you a couple of pictures to help you out.

  • I can not get into my adobe photoshop elements.  It shows it is working but photos never show.

My photshop elements program never loads.  It shows it is working but no photos ever show up.

Does the app window show up on launch? Is it Organizer or Editor you are facing the issue with?
    Thanks

  • Photos not showing up on ipod

Ok, so my last post about itunes shutting down when i try to sync photos was never anwsered. So i downloaded another program to send photos to my ipod w/out itunes.
Everything transfers fine. Itunes says i have pictures on my ipod, and my ipod says how many i have as well. But when i try to view them on my ipod all i get is a black screen.

    Restore the iPod.
Also, you should either update you Mac OS X to 10.4.11 or change your signature.

  • New content not showing up on ipod nano.

When my ipod nano is plugged in, I can access and play the music I put on last time from the device, so it's obviously there. But when I unplug it the new content doesn't show up on the nano itself, and the songs which I deleted *are* showing up (although they don't have any content to play, it's just the names). Is there a way to fix this without wiping it and starting fresh? I'm travelling and don't have access to all my music.

The maximum number of pages is 11. Maximum number of displayable apps is 16 x 11 = 176. Over that will not be displayed but can be found by searching.

  • New photos not showing up as available for import

I have a relatively new collection. I imported a shoot as usual. I edited a photo in another program and saved it as a jpeg to the same folder as everything else. I thought that edits were automatically recognized. However, it wasn't. And when I try to import the edit, it doesn't show up as an available file to import. Windows Explorer shows the file in the folder, but Lightroom 3.2 will not show that it is in the folder.
Interestingly, all edits from a previous import now have the same time stamp for each edit.
    Any ideas? Thanks.

    So, it's Photoshop CS3.
Anyway, from what I understood, you open the photo directly form the disk in Photoshop. That is, you don't use Lightroom to open the photo in Photoshop. It just doesn't work this way. As I said above, Lightroom has no way of knowing when to import a photo that has been saved in Photoshop.
If you insist on using Jpegs for derivative files, your best way to go is indeed using Synchronize.
However, I'd advice to use a lossless format, like TIFF or PSD. Why leave image quality on the table (as Jeff Schewe likes to say)? Storage is cheap and you're editing only your best photos in Photoshop anyway.
And as an additional benefit, you can automate the process of importing derivatives:
Configure what file type to use in Prefs: TIFF or PSD, bit depth, color space etc.
Select an image in Lightroom and hit Ctrl+E.
The derivative file is created in the chosen format and opened in Photoshop.
    Edit and save in Photoshop.
Voila! Your edited derivative is already in Lightroom.

  • When I downloaded new photos, they showed up as grayed out areas, without any photo there, just the gray spaces shown where a photo should be.

I downloaded a bunch of photos, but instead of them showing in each space, they were all grayed out, NO photos were shown, just blank gray spaces, where each photo should be, this has just started to happen the last month or so.

Click this little triangle and choose Reset Tool from the popout menu:

  • Even though new photo image shows up in the icon box in the lower corner of the camera screen, the photo did not save to any albums or places on iPhone 5s with ios8.02 update. Happened three times now so I know it is not operator error!

where did my photo go? Three times now I have taken a photo, and can see the image in the little icon box on the camera screen. I click on the icon to use the photo to share, but the photo is nowhere to be found. Sometimes the image is retrievable but three times today alone, no image came up in camera roll, even though image is in the little icon. What is happening?

Hello again... I have the 5S with current capacity of 56 GB and available space of 28GB.  (I have several big big rule books and pdf files for work on the phone).  There are currently a total of 1627 photos (yes, I know that's a lot...but there used to be even MORE, and I had no problems before ios 8.02) on the phone, and I have done routine purges and deletes and backups to my PC and the Cloud.
When I did the first update to ios 8.0, of course, I found out quickly that photostream and camera roll disappeared, but I was smart enough to figure out that the upgrade created the folder "recently added" and I was able to reinstall the Cloud on my PC and my photos are streaming nicely to the PC and my Ipads (two of them) when I get home to wifi.
Then I did the ios 8.02 upgrade last week.  Used my phone to take photos this past weekend while away on a trip, and darn, one of the photos that I really needed, disappeared.  I thought perhaps that the problem was "operator error" by the person who took the photo of me.  But then last night, I was taking some photos and lo and behold, the same thing happened to me...twice...... the photo image was in the little "icon" box, and I wanted to "share it".  So, I touch the icon of the photo, but the photo did not appear in the "recently added" bunch of photos.  The previous photo was there.  I took another photo, and it appeared normally in the "recently added".  <shrug>. Took a few more photos, and once more... the icon showed the image, but no image was in the "recently added" folder.
That's all that I know as of now......  today... no problems.  all photos (took about 20) all appeared in "recently added" as they should.

  • Photos icon showing 1 new photo but nothing there!

The new 'Photos' icon shows a new photo but nothing new is there.  Is this just a glitch with the 2015 app or should the desktop icon be showing a '1' with the Photos icon?

I am having the same problem mentioned here. I see there is no response to your posting. Have you figured out what is going on yet?
I looked through all my account settings and my email rules. I found a rule that may have been the cause of some of the problem but not all of it. This morning "Mail" indicated it was downloading 17 messages from my POP account but only 4 were in my inbox. The missing 13 are gone for good (into the bit bucket I guess). I know that I am not getting mail from a specific correspondent whose email address is in my address book. I'm at a loss.

  • Photos Not Showing in Computer Menu

Everything seems to work fine with my new ATV (2nd gen) except photos from iPhoto will not display in the Computer menu. I can see all of the folders I set to Home Share via iTunes, but the photos do not display in the folders. My movies and music work fine. Screen Share even works fine displaying photos from iPhoto.
When I first set up the ATV, a few photos displayed in one album (but most did not) under the Computer menu. Now no photos are displayed. The folder names display fine, but when I click on a folder, the photos never show up.

My photos were not showing up in the Apple TV menu either. You have to click on the music folder listed under computers. Then you need to choose photos and scroll down to your music folder. There you will find your photos. Kind of lame, but Apple accesses everything through iTunes.
Apple Tech Support walked me through this today.

  • On my iphone 5s, in "photos" when I touch to enlarge, random new photos taken with 5s appear as old photos taken with 4 years ago - that aren't even on the laptop that I plug into. How do I correct this?

On my iphone 5s, in "photos" when I touch to enlarge, random new photos are showing as old photos. For example, let's say I'm looking in an album at a photo of a dog I took today. If I touch to enlarge- that photo of a dog is suddenly a photo of a family member taken three years ago (on my old iphone 4). This is random and has happened to about a dozen photos. This has caused me to accidently delete new photos thinking they were old ones until I figured out this was some sort of glitch. The old photos that are posing as new photos aren't even on my laptop that I plug into - they've been on my external hard drive for awhile so I don't even know how they're linking! Any suggestions??

I've tried both ways.  My Computer locates the device but doesn't see the old photos, only listing the new photos.
I no longer have the iphone3; I just transferred the photos from the 3 to the 4.
Was there a format change or file type change or did the transfer process create something different?  I can still see and access the old photos if I go to that album on the phone.  But that's the only place where I can see them or access them.

  • Imported Photos not showing up in Library of I-Photo

I am converting old slides on a Wolverine SNaP converter.  The digital images show up in the "Last Import" window after importing them, and I can drag them into a folder I create, but when I go to the Library they aren't there.  Does anybody have a similar experience?  How can I get them to show up in the Library?

Thank you.  I did find it.  I am not familiar with the way things get organized in iphoto.  I expected new photos to show up at the bottom of the library as they usually do.  I still haven't found them when looking in the library itself but I did find them when looking at the events.

  • Can't select/see new photos in other Apps

This has happened a coupla times just recently...I uploaded photos from my camera to iPhoto 8, just like I have done a hundred times. Then I tried to open the new photo(s) in another application (again, done this many times) but none of the new photos show up in the dialog box. I look back at iPhoto and there they are. Why would these newer photos not show up in another apps' dialog box? All the other iPhotos are there! Please help! THANKS!

Do they show up if you quit and restart iPhoto?

  • Migration completed, but photos not showing up???

Help, I have completed the migration and the new photos file shows to be the same size as previous iphoto file, but when I open up the new migrated file in Photos there are ZERO images to see?? I have tried to do another migration but the old iphoto file is now recorded as having had "migration complete" so it will not let me do anything other than to say I can open with old version of iPhotos.....which I no longer have since upgrading to Yosemite What to do? Anyone having the same experience???

IIt's the first time I'm hearing of the Photos library being totally empty. You're sure of that? Anyway...
    1. Start with the basics of restarting your Mac; and repairing Permissions with Disk Utility in the Urilities folder in your Applications folder;
    2. Migrating to Photos removes the iPhoto icon from the Dock, but the app remains in your Applications folder;
    3. The iPhoto Library file suffix is renamed, but it remain perfectly usable by iPhoto (once opened again, the suffix change will disappear);
    4. To perform a fresh migration, move the Photos Library to the Trash (don't empty it just yet); Launch Photos while holding down the Options + Command keys. You should see a dialog window with your existing libraries listed (it might take a while); select your original iPhoto Library.

  • How do I delete photos from my daughter's ipod that showed up on there when she got music from her aunt's itunes? Also how do I make sure none of my iphone pics show up on her ipod in the future (we use the same itunes account and I think same icloud).

I'm totally new to iphone/ipod.  I need help with the following:
    1) How do I get rid of a folder of photos that showed up on my daughter's ipod touch when she received some songs from her aunt's itunes?  After she got some songs from that itunes a folder of pictures showed up with no delete option.  Does she need to reconnect to that itunes/computer and if so what do we need to do to remove this folder of pics from her ipod?
    2) Also, my daughter uses same itunes as myself, how do I make sure any pics I have on my iphone & icloud (itunes) don't show up on her ipod? I shut off my photostream so perhaps this is the solution.  But I noticed that a message I sent from her ipod to my sister (an iphone user) later showed up on my iphone (as if I had sent it from my iphone)! That was really odd. I'd like to keep our itunes account together simply so I can monitor her downloads, etc so I don't want to open up her own itunes to avoid automatic syncing.
I only want to share music between our devices.  I don't want her pics nor my pics to go to icloud/itunes.
    Thank you!

    1) You asked "Does she need to reconnect to that itunes/computer and if so what do we need to do to remove this folder of pics from her ipod?" Yes, you have to connect the iPod to that computer and go to the Photos pane for the iPod in iTunes and uncheck sync photos and the click on synce/apply. In the future do not check sync photos.
iOS and iPod: Syncing photos using iTunes
    2)
Create a NEW account for using these instructions. Make sure you follow the instructions. Many do not and if you do not you will not get the None option. You must use an email address that you have not used with Apple before.
Creating an iTunes Store, App Store, iBookstore, and Mac App Store account without a credit card
Then on the iPod go to
    - Settings>Messages>Send and receive and sign out your ID and sign into hers. Make sure that only her ID email address is listed.
    - Settings>FaceTime sign out of your ID and sign into hers. Make sure that under You can be reached at only her ID email address is listed
    - Settings>iCloud and sign out and sign in with hers
Contnue to use the commpn ID/account for Settings>iTunes and App stores.

  • I am having macbook air recently my iphotos did not open and was showing report apple and reopen but i came to know that by pressing alt and iphotos i open an new photo library and stored the pics but now how can i get the pics which i had in the earlier

i am having macbook air recently my iphotos did not open and was showing report apple and reopen but i came to know that by pressing alt and iphotos i open an new photo library and stored the pics but now how can i get the pics which i had in the earlier photo please help me to recover my photos

    Well I'll guess you're using iPhoto 11:
    Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
    If that fails:
    Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In early versions of Library Manager it's the File -> Rebuild command. In later versions it's under the Library menu.)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.
