Seems like a lot of money work and you have to do all the work and support.  For a little less here is what I got. All I had to do was pop in the Ram Plugin the usb3 4TG external and my old wacom tablet and display and install Photoshop. Came with 3yr service with OS installed.

  • I just installed Photoshop CC 2014, but Latest version of Bridge will not work when I want to open it from PS

Any idea why is Bridge latest version not working when trying to open it in Photoshop CC 2014 ? (French version) ? When trying, Creative Cloud app will open to ask if I want to download newest version, which I did numerous times now.
    Thank you

    Hi Eric,
Here's how a similar problem was resolved between PS and BR.
The issue was confirmed by ChunXiaYang at Adobe staff and solution put in the forum discussion on June 19 (no. 13). Here's a copy:
I have confirmed that this is a known issue before release. And the workaround is to uninstall and reinstall PS 2014. Then Bridge can be launched by selecting 'Browse in Bridge' in PS2014.
Please try the installation, and let me know whether it works. Thanks!
It woks just fine since I unistalled and reinstalled PS 2014.

I did this with a fresh install of the entire CC package. As soon as the CC packages updated, CC Bridge broke. Unistalled CC PS, reinstalled again, CC Bridge works, but CC PS updates itself again, and breaks CC Bridge.
You know... The whole move to CC has been a massive cluster... I've struggled with the CC packages for my entire subscription year, and now I'm 1.5 month away from needing to throw down another $720 for no reason what-so-ever, just so we can Beta test your really screwed up subscription services.

  • CameraRaw is not updated in Photoshop CC and Photoshop CC 2014. Active version is still 8.3, although 8.5 is available. AAM and CC App say everything up-to.date.

On my Windows 7 (x64) PC I have Photoshop CC and since this morning Photoshop CC 2014. If I open a RAW or DNG file in either of them, CameraRaw version 8.3 opens. When I search for updates via Help -> Updates, no updates are found. Creative Cloud App shows no updates as well (everything up-to-date).
For Photoshop CS6 (installed in parallel, local license, no cloud version) I got an update to CameraRaw 8.5 today. And it works in this old version.
Tried already to download manual update from Keeping Photoshop Up-To-Date. However, Installer fails with "Update failed.Updates couldn't be installed".
How can I make CameraRaw 8.5 available for CC / CC 2014 as well ?

Solved ! Found another post in this forum that gave me some useful hints. You have to download Camera Raw 8.5 manually.
Download link for Camera Raw 8.5.0.236 for Windows is http://swupdl.adobe.com/updates/oobe/aam20/win/PhotoshopCameraRaw8-8.0/8.5.50/setup.zip
The Installer didn't work, so I only unzipped the file. You can find the Camera Raw plugins in the sub-directories:
    32-bit version:
    - > payloads/AdobeCameraRaw8.0All-050614141453/Assets1_1.zip
extract file "1003" and rename it to "Camera Raw.8bi"
copy it to c:/Program Files (x86)/Common/Adobe/Plug-ins/CC/File Formats/CameraRaw.8bi (previous CameraRaw is overwritten, you should copy old version to a save place first)
    64-bit version:
    - > payloads/AdobeCameraRaw8.0All-x64-050614143245/Assets1_1.zip
extract file "1002" and rename it to "Camera Raw.8bi"
copy it to c:/Program Files/Common/Adobe/Plug-ins/CC/File Formats/CameraRaw.8bi (previous CameraRaw is overwritten, you should copy old version to a save place first)
Start Photoshop CC and open a RAW file to be sure it's ok now.

  • Can I uninstall Photoshop CC without issues with the new Photoshop CC (2014)?

Just checking before I delete all my non-CC (2014) apps if they will affect anything.

I don't know the answer to this but will be interested to find out.
In virtually all past versions it's been a bad idea to uninstall an older version of Photoshop after installing a newer one.

  • Trouble Turneing on FileStream/Ad Hoc Query with new SQL Server 2014 64-BIt Version

    SQL Server Help,
I have recently installed SQL SERVER 2014 on my Window 7 SP1 Acer laptop.
I am trying to do a simple upload of an Excel file into SQL Server using the OPENROWSET command:
Which I found requires some configuration change I attempted below.
    When I execute this:
    execute sp_configure 'show advanced options', 1;
    RECONFIGURE;
    execute sp_configure 'Ad Hoc Distributed Queries', 1;
    RECONFIGURE;
    GO
    I get this message
Configuration option 'show advanced options' changed from 1 to 1. Run the RECONFIGURE statement to install.
    Msg 5593, Level 16, State 1, Line 2
FILESTREAM feature is not supported on WoW64. The feature is disabled.
    Msg 15123, Level 16, State 1, Procedure sp_configure, Line 62
The configuration option 'Ad Hoc Distributed Queries' does not exist, or it may be an advanced option.
    Msg 5593, Level 16, State 1, Line 4
FILESTREAM feature is not supported on WoW64. The feature is disabled.
When I go to the SQL Server Services and Properties on the Server and try to change the FileStream options to be on..I get the error:
"There was an unknown error applying the FILESTREAM settings.  Check the parameters are valid (0x80070002)."
Perhaps my issue is with the Windows Share Name:  .  I have put in a local driver C:\A_Excel....also the computer name, my user ID.   Is there a special format or way to define a Share Name that I am unaware of?
Is there a way to fix this?  Can I not load Excel files with a 64-Bit system?  Or what is the easiest way that I can do this with my configuration?
    Thanks for any help.

FILESTREAM feature is not supported on WoW64. The feature is disabled.
By the error message it seems you have a 64 bit OS, but have installed a 32 bit SQL Server and here in WoW64 mode filestream seems to be not supported. Install a 64 bit SQL Server instead.

  • Photoshop cc 2014, updated but don't seem to see the new features

I just updated my photoshop and lightroom cc to 2014 last night and when I wen ahead and try to check out the features this morning, I could not find any of them and looked at tutorial s and videos....

Are you running the new Photoshop CC 2014 and not the old Photoshop CC? It's a different executable, not an update.

I recently installed the trial version of the new Photoshop CC 2014, in addition to Audition. Audition works just fine, but when I tried to run Photoshop, it crashes immediately with the typical "Adobe Photoshop has stopped working" error. These identify your Intel display driver as the problem.  Chances are their implementation of one or more OpenGL API calls has a bug.
Check Intel.com to see if Intel has released an updated display driver for your hardware and OS.  It may well be that they've already released a driver that fixes the bugs.
Failing to get a resolution from that, you may be able to change the OpenGL drawing mode Photoshop uses.  Go into your Photoshop Edit - Preferences - Performance panel, click the [Advanced Settings], and try lowering the Drawing Mode.  You'll have to close and reopen Photoshop after any changes there before testing.
    Good luck!

After long time of running Photoshop CC & Lightroom 5, I decided to update to latest versions through Creative Cloud Manager. The latest versions available where New Photoshop CC 2014 and Lightroom 5.5.
After nearly 2 GB of download, both the applications got installed. Now following are the issues I am facing.

I try to load LightRoom 5.5 and nothing happens.
Following are the diagnostics on my side.
Logged out from Creative Cloud and logged in again. -> Same effect
Logged out from Creative Cloud, Uninstalled the apps, Logged in into the Creative Cloud App, Installed the apps - > Same effect and wasted another 2GB of bandwidth.
Uninstalled again, During trying to re-install, copied the installers from the %temp% folders for both the app, Installed using standalone installer. -> Photoshop CC 2014 = same effect, LightRoom 5.5 = asking for serial !! Strange !!

  • Adobe Photoshop CC 2014 Help TAB Photoshop Online Help - LINK IS BROKEN

My Adobe Updater installed Photoshop CC 2014, and all seemed well, until I attempted to get online help via:
Help TAB > Photoshop Online Help
    This LINK is apparently BROKEN!
Here is the resulting error on Firefox (version 32.0):
XML Parsing Error: undefined entity Location: jar:jar:file:///C:/Users/Owner/AppData/Roaming/Mozilla/Firefox/Profiles/kaeec5li.default/extensions/[email protected]!/chrome/speedtest.jar!/content/net

I also attempted to open same link using Chrome, and IE browsers;  BOTH browsers we unable to navigate to the Adobe Help!
Here is the supposed LINK URL (via Firefox):
    community.adobe.com/chcservices/services/redirect?u=http://help.adobe.com&p=Photoshop_15.0&l=en_US&id=AH_HOME
    ADDITIONAL NOTE:
The exact same error is generated when attempting to get online support via:
Help TAB > Photoshop Support Center
Hopefully, someone from the Adobe Tech Community may shed some light on this MAJOR issue, as it precludes users from accessing Online Help and Support!

    Hello
I am having exactly the same problem with the French version of Photoshop CC 2014. The only menu item working is "What's new?".

Very similar to your page except for the language.
This page does not load (error 404).
I was on chat with Adobe support but they did not solve the problem.
I tried to reinstall and also used 3 different browsers (IE - FF - CH).
I have Photoshop installed on 2 different platforms (W7 and W8), same issue.
Were you able to solve your problem?
Pfondaneche, when you press F1, are you just in the main Photoshop window?
When I press F1 I see it go through a quick redirection and within a small fraction of a second it ends up here:
    Photoshop Help | Photoshop Help
The specific link you posted does not work for me either, so I'm assuming there's an Adobe server problem somewhere, or maybe a problem with that particular link.
I've noticed Adobe has failed to update a number of its pages for the new Photoshop CC 2014.1 release.  For example, where is a new page that describes where Photoshop CC 2014.1 keeps its preference files?

Hi there. I just updated my entire CC suite yesterday to CC 2014. All the new apps works fine, but my brand new Photoshop CC 2014 crashes EVERYTIME when I quit it. This is my crash report. Can you guys explain me what is going on and what can I do to solve this problem, please? Thanks in advance!

Ok I found it what cause this problems "Custom Styles". Not Brushes, not Tool Preset, Custom Swatches or Patterns definitely "Custom Styles". What I did? I reset all my preset manager which I add previously. Then restart Photoshop. After opening I added my presets one bye one. First I added my h'all Custom Swatches and quit Photoshop. Result No Crash. Then added my h'all Patterns and quit. No Crash. Then I added my h'all styles (Over 100. These are h'all inside 1 style files) and quit Photoshop. And result CRASHED. I follow adobe solution in this link Photoshop CC 2014 crashes when you quit and save all my styles like a new. But solution didn't work. Still crashing when I added my styles no matter what!

  • Can't use Kubota in Photoshop CC 2014

I do most of my editing in Lightroom but still do a few things in Photoshop using Kubota tools. I recently upgraded to the new Photoshop CC 2014 but am unable to install Kubota with the new version. I contacted Kubota and they said that if I can download Photoshop CC before the most recent update I should be able to use the palette still but I can't find a way to backtrack and get the older version. What I would really like to do is just upgrade from CS4 to CS5 or CS6 but I can only find options on the Adobe site for getting CC. Hoping someone can help. Thank you very much in advance!

Thanks for your reply! I would love to upgrade to CS6 but unfortunately my old version is CS4 so I would have to pay the full price rather than the upgrade fee which is a bit pricey. :S Really appreciate the link though!
I clicked on "Previous Version" but the only options that show are for Bridge, Edge Animate, Extension Animator and Gaming SDK. No Photoshop CC. Darn!
Also, to answer your question, here is a portion of what Kubota said:
"Flash is not supported with this new Photoshop CC 2014. That is why the Extensions are greyed out, so ANY extension you have including the Kubota DASHBOARD will not work.
However, I believe there may be a workaround. It seems like Adobe did not want us to be completely without when it comes to our extensions because a lot of people still use them. So, this new version of Photoshop does not completely overwrite your old one, if we were to install the standard version of Photoshop CC I believe it would coexist and we could get our DASHBOARD back."
... So it looks like they might not be able to make their product compatible for the new version hey?

  • Photoshop CC 2014 not taking over settings from Photoshp CC?

I noticed Photoshop CC 2014 being installed beside Photoshop CC, which I have configured to my liking. Mainly Keyboard shortcuts, units and rulers, that sort of thing.
Now if I open the new Photoshop CC 2014, these settings seem all reset to default again. I can Edit -> [email protected] -> Download settings, but it doesn't change anything. The settings are still default. The only thing that seems to be working is my workspace that has been added.
How can I fully migrate all settings from Photoshop CC to the new Photoshop CC 2014? I was expecting this to happen automatically, but apparently not.
Same goes for Illustrator by the way.

I was getting the same thing.
LR would open .tifs in PS but not raw files..
Also got the same result if opening as smart object and then trying to save back to LR.
It was working fine until i un installed the older version of PS CC. Then it stopped working.
What worked for me was to un install PS (2014) and re install it.

  • Error in compiling Photoshop CC 2014 sample project

    Hi,
I am trying to compile SDK sample project "outbound". but it is showing errors, as "Parse Issue: Unknown type name 'DialogPtr' " in DialogUtilities.h .
DialogUtilities.h file is in "Adobe Photoshop CC 2014:photoshopsdk:pluginsdk:samplecode:common:includes".
even if I add this path in project  settings it still shows the errors.
how can I make this work?
I am using Photoshop CC 2014 and Xcode version is 4.6.3 (4H1503)
If you have any idea regarding project settings then please let me know.
    Thanks and regards,
    Priyanka.

Are you using the CC 2014 release of the SDK?
The DialogUtilities.h for mac do not work. They are the old Carbon API's. See the Dissolve example for an Objective-C UI.
I would comment out the DialogUtilities.h include and other associated headers for Carbon UI. Some Carbon calls still work that are unrelated to UI.
