The bug is known, and a patch has been submitted: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=80151. There's been no update since friday, so I wonder what the current status is, or if it's up for review at all.
Does anyone know how we can be notified when this patch hits the kernel?

  • Support for Arabic in Flash Builder

I'm happy that Flash supports Arabic now. Previously there were problems with that. This is the reason why I didn't learn Flash. Now that it supports it I'm getting familiar with the technology related and I regard it as my first serious attempt to become a real developer. I have tried all the technologies available like PHP, ASP.NET, Java..etc. but I have found that only in Flex / ColdFusion all the three criteria that I was looking for where available: Both are easy to learn, powerful, and beautiful in things regarding UI and design.
Now in Flash Builder 4, although I can write Arabic and some RTL options availabe, I still have problems with the Flash components:
For example the arrow button of the DropDownList is on the right, but if I want to create an Arabic Flash application it should be on the left. The same for CheckBox, RadioButton, List, and other Components.
Is there a way how to fix that? Or do RTL developers have to wait for coming versions until this is available. I dislike Microsoft but they are strong in one thing: Language support. If Adobe becomes better in that, it would rule the developer world.

To my understanding (I'm just a dev myself) - yes, the flashplayer will continue to be backwards-compatible with content built for old players, regardless of the AS version.

  • Platform supported for ebiz contol center client?????

    Hello,
I happened to read an article from bea website on BEA WEblogic Portal 4.0 review.
.There is a mention that in the current version of portal 4.0, ebiz control center
client is avaliable for windows 2000 systems only ??Is it true or is ebusiness control
center client available on other oprating systems ??

I have ebcc on linux. The main thing that you will have to change is the jvm. This
will probably void your warranty though :-). Basically, what we did here, was install
it on solaris. Move the whole thing to linux. Remove the ebcc jvm directory. Then,
make a soft link to the installed jdk.

  • Platform support for OMW

    Hi All,
I have few questions on the certification status of OMW.
    1. Can the source database be on any OS or only on windows/linux 3.0 ?
    2. Are the supported target DB operating system are windows and linux 3.0 only?
Also can you pl send the "Database Migration Estimation Spreadsheet" applicable for all types of source DB.
    my email ID: [email protected]
    Regards
    vara

    Vara,
The source database can be on any platform. We can either access it directly via JDBC or via DSML.
Target Oracle , is any supported Oracle platform.
For the spreadsheet, I'd suggest you talk with your NAIO colleagues (Kartik Krishnamurti)

  • How does a customer request new Driver support for BOE XI 3.1?

    Hello:
I would like to know the process to request product enhancements/feature support?
We are running BOE XI 3.1 on HPUX-IA64 going to Neoview 2.4.
I would like to know how to request support for the HP Neoview JDBC driver.
    What is the process?
Currently as of SP3 the platform support doc only has HP ODBC 2.4 listed.
    Thanks,

  • Support for Third Party Apps when they take your money and don't respond

Does Blackberry App do anything about third party apps that take your money and then don't give you what you paid for or respond?  I paid $4.99 for Jeweled game from getempower, it downloaded and worked a bit, then it said I needed to Register.  When I clicked Register, nothing happened, it just said "checking registriation" forever.  I clicked on the Support Email provided and it returned an error saying "We get too much spam so you can't email us anymore, so please go to our website for support."  So I went to the website www.getempower.com, and got to the Support form and filled it out, and it said "you cannot submit form until you choose the app" but when I tried to choose the app it wouldn't let me.  I can't see anywhere else on the web page to contact them. So I paid for the game but it won't let me get to it.  I looked at the reviews and it looks like several other people have had this same problem.  I guess I thought buying something through App World would be trustworthy - App World, do you stand behind the vendors you allow to sell on your site?

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
Firstly, as a user-to-user community, no one here can answer your question with any level of authority whatsoever. This site is not a channel for any formal communications with RIM. All support starts with the carriers, authorized resellers, and authorized service centers, all who can escalate cases into RIM at no charge to the end user...and that is the required path for formal support for issues such as yours (including requests for refund, if you choose to go that route). So, your escalation path is not here, in these forums.
But, have you tried removing and resinstalling the app? And/or clearing the AppWorld cache?
    Good luck!

  • Platform Support for WLS 5.1 SP9 and / or WLS 6.x

When will BEA support WLPS with either WLS 5.1 SP9 or WLS 6.x?

    Should have been more specific:
When will BEA support WLPS __3.2__ with either WLS 5.1 SP9 or WLS 6.x? The
docs say it currently only supports WLS 5.1 sp6/sp8, depending on platform.
Are there plans for BEA to support WLPS __3.5__ with WLS 5.1 SP9? The doc
says it currently only supports WLS 6.x

    Hi,
I  have recently purchased BOE Pro (for Ent Reporting) XI 3.0
Can you please tell me if crystal reports that have been running on BOE XI 2.0 will also run on BOE Pro (for Ent Reporting) XI 3.0

I agree. I often use proxies for the same reason.

I think so. As you probably know, each R/3 using ABAP prx has a stronger connection to XI compared to an R/3 using IDoc or RFC. It has to access SLD, repository, and so on...
So if you have this R/3-XI link always with your 2.0 you shouldn't be messin up.

Yep, I know. My "almost everything fixed" was volountarily ironical
XI 3.0 works much better... though it has its issues as well.

  • New RAW support for Fuji X10 camera

I really appreciate all the work that must be done at Adobe in order to keep up with new cameras and their un-ending parade of new RAW file formats. Case in point, the new Fuji X10. RAW support was added for this model in the most recent Lightroom/Photoshop update and I was very glad for that since I acquired a new X10 just a couple of weeks ago. However, I am not able to get a handle on the noise reduction and sharpening aspects of the RAW files from the X10. Is it possible that since Fuji uses a non-typical array on their EXR sensor inside the camera that the usual sharpening and noise reduction controls are not adequate? They produce some very strange and inpleasant results. It's really puzzling since I have been a ACR user for many years with other camera makes and models and have always been able to optimize the RAW files in such a way as to better the camera's JPEG output. Not so with the X10. I should note that all the other adjustable parameters seem to work as would be expected when processing RAW files from the X10. It's just the Noise and Sharpaning parameters which do not seem to work very well. At least not as well as the camera's own internal noise and sharpening processing does. Suggestions? Maybe I'm misssing something, but I think I have tried every combination of adjustment possible from within Lightroom to try and improve the noise and sharpening from X10 files, but with very little success. It actually seems to work better to re-process out of camera JPEGs or "in camera processed" RAW files. At least the results from these files act more like one would expect, but this does give up much of the flexibility of working directly on a RAW file especially in areas such as recovering highlight detail, etc.
Hope someone can provide some answers!

Exactly my experience, plus blue/cyan difficult to get right, on 2 (Apple) computers/monitors...OOC jpegs are good, more easily processed, what gives?

  • Creative labs new tech 'support' for Austra

Up until last week, I'd been dealing with the australian branch of crati've labs tech support. It appears over the last week or so theres been a changeover and its been sourced to singapore or something. I'd just like to say how utterly useless its been. I've been dealing with a terrible phone line, through which it is incredibly hard to understand anything i hear, that is sokmething i could overcome, but, the next problem is the operators.
Many of them cannot understand me, at all, now, I'm the first to admit I have somewhat of an Australain accent, its nothing extreme though, and I'm told I'm quite well spoken. These guys in some instances cannot udnerstand a word I am saying, in other instances they do sort of get me, but, when it comes to giving out say, an email address, are totally lost.
Yesterday I spent, oh, 5 minutes, trying to tell this guy that my last name, was spelt like this 'mcmahon', not like this m3mahon. It seems C and 3 are not easy to seperate. Not even giving a C for Cat, or C for Congo could help matters. I did manage to give out a phone number eventually, but still, no good.
All I was chasing up was the cost of a repair for my zen touch, the touch pad has gone haywire. A week or so ago I dealt with the aussie service center, and, they informed me of the cost, faxed me out a form to fill out, to start off the repair and I was good to go. I misplaced the repair cost, so, I thought it would be easy to chase this up. No way, no one in the new help center had a clue what i was talking about, even once i got past the enormous and extremly frustrating language barrier.
Just letting you know creative that unfortunately, this is the last straw. Your products are good, but, they arn't that good.Message Edited by macka_x on 03-07-200607:32 PM

  • Any news about support for Office2007 docs at 10g level??

everything I've found was the information, that Office2007 docs are supported by 10.2.0.5 db-patchset. But this patchset is still not available :-(
    Any news????
    Regards,
    Florian.

The BPM is still in a separate tool - since the people who use it are not developers and they probably don't want to use JDev for this high-level modeling.
If you think this should be integrated into JDeveloper, I'm sure the PMs for the SOA suite will be happy to hear about this. Use their forum:

  • Any news on support for Sigma SD1 Merril files?

I have CS6 and Lightroom 4 and would really like Adobe so support X3 files. I thought the new RC would address that issue but no; it didn't. Anything on the works?

Give time! I expect support Sigma Merrill already more than half the year. If you need the RAW files I can send you. Make support SIGMA!

  • Why did I have to pay for a new USB cable for my iphone when I didn't break it and it was only 6 months old?

The Apple store charged me for replacing the USB cable. It would work but if I move the cord it would connect, but then disconnect again. I got with my iPhone 5 6 months ago. It has a warranty and I had the Apple Plus Care that I paid extra for. It was in no way my fault that it broke.

If the Apple store refused replacement under warranty they clearly found
evidence of damage which would void the warranty

  • Can apple please make hdmi support for hbo go part of the next hbo go and max go update???

Hbo and max go need to have hdmi support. Maybe they can make this happen through their next app update?

    No.
Apple has no control over HBO or over what HBO enables in all.
Due to what a mess licensing media is, HBO might not have the right to do hdmi out either.
