New Pond5 plugin for PPro CS6

Just got an e-mail from Pond5 about a beta plugin for PPro CS6. Curious what everyone thinks about it:

This is definitely something I was hoping to see one day (had actually mentioned it in a recent survey).

First off....Anyone install this yet?
This is kind of funny....I just saw this for the first time on Pond5's website and thought it was something that was new, due to NAB15.....after a search here, I'm shocked. It's been a thing since over 2 years ago?? Wow, I never knew....I think its a great idea, but had some reservations about the integration. Wondering if it screws up anything or runs smooth as butter? I too think it is amazing that you can edit with the proxy and conform right to the HD after purchased. Still scared to install, due to my system running very well lately after getting my hands on a new Mac Pro. Don't worry, I've been part of the whole discussion about the 2013 Mac Pro render glitch thingy...Hence me grabbing one of the new ones when they got to the office and I did the switcherooo.

What is the best afordable/free Slow motion plugin for AE CS6?

Howdy! I am new here and I couldn't really find the answer I was looking for. I need a affordable or Free is even better plugin for AE CS6 to do some editing on GoPro footage and some other High fps video. I really want a smooth and minimal blur effect. Doesn't have to be perfect but better than what I got now. Any help is greatly appreciated.

MOST PEOPLE do not understand frame rates and slow motion. High frame rate compositions do not improve slow motion. Video works the same way that film does. Shoot at a high frame rate and playback every frame on a projector that is running slower than your camera was running. Simple as that.
Time remapping with frame blending is included with AE. If you shoot with your GoPro at 60 or higher just open the footage in AE, interpret the footage as 29.97 or other standard frame rate like 24 or 23.976, then drop the footage in a comp with the same frame rate and you'll have you slow mo with no problem. That's the same thing as shooting film at 60fps or 100fps and threading up the film in a projector that runs 24fps. If you want to slow it down further use Time Remapping.
The only other really good plug-in is Twixtor, but that's expensive. All others are about the same as what's included with AE.

Optional plugins for Photoshop CS6 - installation advice?

Where should I / how should I install the Lighting Styles folder and the 8bf, 8bi and 8ba files included in the optional plugins for Photoshop CS6? (Win 32)

Hi Heather,
If you have the 64-bit version of either of these OSes, then:
Windows 7 and Vista (32 bit): Program Files (x86)/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop CS6/Plug-ins folder
If you have the 32-bit OS version, then: Program Files/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop CS6/Plug-ins folder
The Lighting Styles folder just needs to be in the same directory as the LightingEffects plug-in.
Secondarily, why are you wanting to use the legacy plug-in? Is it because you don't a video card that can enable OpenGL drawing?

can any users throw out advice as to where to put scratch disk, media cache/files, previews, final renders for PPRO cs6
using 4 sataII 7200 drives please...
c: 1) os win7 // cs6 programs
d: 2) final renders //
e: 3) media cache // previews // encore ISO //
f: 4) footage/ PPRO_projects // encore projects
(the encore projects and iso are where they are at because writing the iso E: needs the final render D: (2 separate hdd) (and no longer needs the 'footage' on F:)

Premiere Pro saves conformed audio in CFA audio preview files. You can determine where to save these audio preview files by specifying a Scratch Disk location for Audio Previews in the Project Settings dialog box.

New Kodak plugins for Photoshop

When reading the News items at the dpreview.com site, I noticed the announcement of some new plugins for Photoshop and compatible programs.

The asf.com Kodak site seems to say compatible with PSE 1, 2, 3 for the non-pro plugin.
Does anyone know about PSE 5?
The color restore of the ROC plugin looks interesting.

I have installed the Pro Version of the ROC plugin. It works with PSE V5.
During the installation, I specified that it gets installed in the folder C:\Programme\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 5.0\Plug-Ins
This seems to be important (in my first attempt to install it, I did not override the folder specification, and PSE 5 did not find the plugin).
Personally, I find the plugin very expensive: nearly 50 US$ for the normal version, nearly 100 US$ for the professional version. This seems to be especially expensive when comparing these costs with the PSE license costs and when considering that each one of the Kodak Plugins cost these 50/100 US$
But of course, for those PSE users who have an important need for it, the 50/100 US$ might be worth it. I wonder however, whether there are similar plug-ins that are much less expensive or even free.
Personally I would welcome a decision of Adobe, to provide in future similar plug-ins (or sets/packages of similar plugins) at a much more reasonable price. Perhaps Adobe could provide reasonably priced sets of plug-ins that include among other some of the really nice photo-enhancements capabilities/dialogs of Lightroom. I should probably describe this in the "Feature Request" forum.

Can i get a new serial number for Adobe CS6 Design Standard for Students and Teachers?

I have had to re-install my Adobe CS6 Design Standard for students and teachers after having problems with my computer (MacBook Pro)
I am wondering if there is a way to access my old serial number from when I originally installed CS6, or do I have to start over again and get a new serial number?

You normally use the same serial number that you are first issued. If you registered your product when you first installed it then you should be able to find your setial number available thru your Adobe account online.

Is there a Snaplab plugin for Adobe CS6

The Snaplab plugin I have now works great on CS5, but, doens't seemt o show up with CS6.
Is tehre an update for making Snaplab borders for Win8 and Adobe CS6 or CC?

That's the problem....when I go to Help>about plugins, Camera Raw is not shown on the list (only CompuServe GIF; Embed Watermark; Filter Gallery; Open EXR and Read Watermark are listed).
However I do have the latest ACR on my laptop as downloaded from Adobe.com.....and I can open it up directly. Its when I try and open a RAW file from CS6 it then says not the right document?
Also Help>Updates is greyed out and cannot be selected?

You can't...it won't work in CS6 and was only for previous versions running on a PPC Mac (which CS6 won't run on) So...the odds are you have made the mistake of loading older versions of Photoshop plug-ins in CS6, right? You need to remove ALL old Photoshop plug-ins from ANY previous version of Photoshop. It will cause you lots of problems...the ONLY plug-ins you should load in CS6 are those updated for CS6 and installed with the developer's installers.
