New Popup Calendar in 1.5?

Someone told me there was a new component in Java 1.5 that implements a popup Calendar. I've searched and searched and found no such component. I did find the 1.4 SpinnerCalendarModel, but that is no popup. Did I miss it?

Still 2 small issues left :
On the login screen there is a login throttle which makes you wait 5, 10, 15 etc seconds after a failed login. The errror is in English, where could I translate that one.
The message is :
Please wait xx seconds to login again
Also there is a new icon for the calendar with a standard generated tooltip/alt text which I don't know where to translate :
"Popup Calendar: <<Item label>>"

<font face="courier">INVALID_CREDENTIALS</font> message name is translated for me in several languages.
But it is always displayed in english since upgraded to 4.2 ("Invalid Login Credentials").
So I think INVALID_CREDENTIALS message name is not used anymore and has been replaced by another one containing the "Please wait" message.
As you say, let's wait !

Popup Calendar and date fields

I have two date fields on a form with one field having a "MM/DD/YYYY HH:MI" date format and the other having a "MM/DD/YYYY" date format. The calendar that pops up for the field with a timestamp requires the user to choose the time, a date, then click on the OK button. The other calendar will automatically choose the date and close the calendar when the user clicks on a date. Is there any way I can get the calendar with the timestamp to have the same functionality as the "regular date" calendar? In other words, can the popup calendar automatically close when the user chooses a date when the time is shown on the calendar?

I don't know if you'd be interested in trying something completely new but with jQuery you could use a completely serverside solution by combining jQuery with uidatepicker and clockpick...

I intented to provide an alternative to the built-in calendar since I know users have had trouble with the built-in one. I know there may be some bugs left like the popup being rendered under menus in IE which would be a simple javascript fix. I'd like this to be the basis for an open sourced calendar that developers could contribute to. I'm not sure how to execute on this plan though.

It's a more complex component and to get it to work in Creator would require changes to the component itself so it would require building from myfaces source. I think it would be great to have the new ADF components in myfaces to work in Creator, but someone needs to do the work. Unfortunately, I don't have time to do the work since I'm slated to work on other tasks, but I tried to provide enough information for other component developers do the work. I'm also interested in helping in any way I can.

Issue in assigning new Planning Calendar for MRP.

I have trouble in setting up new Planning calendar for S&OP and MRP process. Let me explain in details
Requirement is, currently I am using standard country specific Factory calendar format (monthly period) per plant. But new requirement has came up and Company wants to change beginning and end of period (monthly) -- as shown below
Current Calendar
1 July to 31 July = period 1 - 2014
1 Aug to 31 Aug = Period 2 - 2014
and so on..
New requirement is ( Last week of Friday is end of Period)
Sat 28 June to Fri 25 July = Period 1 - 2014
Sat 26 July to Fri 29 Aug = Period 2 - 2014
Sat 30 Aug to Fri 3 Oct = Period 3 - 2014
and so on..
(basic concept is to keep
4wk, 5wk, 5wk for Quarter 1
4wk, 4wk, 5wk for Quarter 2. and so on.. )
I have setup new planning calendar in MD25..
ie. min period, start of period not a working day, Calculation rule & Period etc...
then assigned new planning calendar in MM02 - MRP2 and also in MRP1 used Lot size PK... etc..
But when i Put demand in MC88.. which gives us std month format and transfer to DM, then Ran MRP but some how MRP is not creating correct Qty in planned demand as per new calender..
i.e.. 1 July to 31 July = period 1 - 2014 if total demand Qty for Material XYZ is : 50
I am expecting planned demand result in MRP as... Sat 28 June to Fri 25 July = Period 1 - 2014 - should be 50 in total.. but It's not..
Any reason? Or I am missing some settings?

Business wants planning calendar in this format. And Fiscal Year Variant has also been set according to new calendar.
KK, Regarding MC88 there is no option to incorporate planning calendar into S&OP process. And Organisation's S&OP process is set from day one (Planning by ProdGrp/Material) so MD61 would not be a good option to use.
Umesh, regarding "start of period not a working day", I have selected "do not displace". And 27/09 and 27/12 dates are set holiday. The major issue here is: Not every 4th Sat of month is Period start day, MRP is picking new planning calendar (defined in above table) from the system But some how when transferring forecast data from planning table to demand management (MC88), system don't recognize new planning calendar and it distributes demand over weekly bucket per regular month Calendar instead of new planning calendar..
Some how I need to incorporate new planning calendar into S&OP setup somewhere, Any thoughts?

Error messages after new MobileMe Calendar upgrade. Solved?

Quick rundown of what I've been through and how I have solved my problem.
I have a MacBook running 10.5.6 and I also have Bento 3. Recently Bento (Filemaker) told me that I would have to complete a few steps before upgrading to the new MobileMe calendar. After completing the steps. I proceeded to upgrade to the new calendar. Upgraded in less than a minute and then after opening up iCal on my mac & importing my calendars, thats when things started to go wrong. I kept getting error messages on almost every even I have ever created. I could barely even quit iCal due to all the error messages. Also, many of my events werent there after importing and the progress wheel kept spinning. Complete DISASTER! (*Luckily, I made plenty of backups before doing any of this so I was safe*) But Still I had NO iCal!
I searched and searched and could not find a complete solution. So what I did was the following and so far I believe it could be the solution to all of you guys's problems.
I followed these instructions on this website (URL: http://answers.makeitwork.com/how-to-reset-ical-on-your-mac-or-how-to-clean-up-y our-ical/) **I followed these exactly**
They are below:
+Export any Calendars you wish to retain after you reset by clicking on the Calendar you wish to retain and go to File > Export… > Export…+
+Repeat the above process for every Calendar you wish to keep. (Make sure you remember where you saved them)+
+Quit out of iCal+
+Go to Finder and click on your Home icon to display the Library folder.+
+Open that folder+
+Open the Calendars folder in the subsequent window+
+Delete all the contents within that folder+
+NOTE: If you open iCal at this point, it will initially appear that you cleared everything. Within minutes, however, everything will come back.+
+Go to your Utilities folder and open the Terminal application+
+Enter the following command: rm -rf ~/Library/{Caches,Caches/Metadata,Preferences,Application\ Support}/iCal+
+Exit out of Terminal+
+Open iCal and…Voila! Brand new iCal!+
But that did not completely work. So before doing this again, I went to my iPhone and quit syncing calendars on my mobile me account. And chose to ERASE every calendar on my iPhone.
After doing that and repeating the process above, I opened up iCal and boom, it worked. Then after I had the calendars setup the way I wanted on my MacBook, I proceeded to go to Preferences>MobileMe>Sync> and then chose to sync
I then went to Me.com and checked to see if the calendar was operable and it was 100%. I could do everything like before. Then I went back to my iPhone and just turned Calendar syncing back on in my mobileme preferences.
This has solved all my problems 100%. Hope this helps someone. Just remember that as long as you created a backup of your Calendar you should be safe.

Well... seems I didn't have any answer on this. I fiddled a bit more but I have to say that I really came to wits' end at this stage. A couple of observations though:
* I don't really understand this notion of a keyboard issue. My keyboard and its layout work properly but I will not be able to login regardless of login through GDM, KDM or Slim. Yet it's worth noting that in the case of GDM and SLIM the X server starts; I see the graphical interface, I click, etc. but when I type the trouble starts.
* I tried to check my xsessions-errors file. The file is really big under a frame buffer, and it wasn't clear to me, but I found strange that the log was reporting all sorts of attempts to start KDE. I don't exactly know what's going on.
If anybody has any clue, let me know... It's becoming very frustrating.

I tried to create a new google calendar in ical, but they did not show up, I tried this several times. Now when I sync my iPad via iTunes all these failed attempts are showing up under the ical sync list in iTunes, how can i clear them from this list?

Calendar App showing a new blank calendar that I can't delete or rename.

So suddenly my iPod has two separate calendars in the Calendar app, one identified with a red dot, the other with an orange dot, and I can neither delete nor rename this new second calendar. Both are named 'Calendar,' and I have the option to view either one or 'All.' The new one is blank; there are no events. I can see where having multiple calendars would be useful - for example, family stuff and work stuff could be on separate calendars - but not as much if I can't add, delete or rename these separate calendars.
I think this second blank calendar appeared today, after I added the Google App to my iPod, and also after I tried syncing my iPod calendar to Outlook (with no success, it seems - Outlook's calendar is blank).
Sorry if this is a stupid question - I've been looking online, and gone through the manual and all the settings - I can't find the solution.

Quit iCal, open Address Book, and click on your card. Then select Address Book>Card>Make this My Card.
If that does not fix the problem, then delete and recreate your card, and once again make sure to designate it with "Make this My Card.

New icloud calendar created on iphone not syncing to icloud or mac

OK from the SBIFF website at sbiff.org (if you love film, check it out!) I downloaded their full ics calendar of events to my iphone 5 calendar. On the iPhone 5, I imported that calendar data into a new iCloud calendar called SBIFF. All events imported to iPhone with no problem and it's great!
However, I cannot seem to get the calendar events to sync to iCloud or my MacBook Pro except for the calendar name itself.
My MacBook Pro (10.8.2) is set to sync with iCloud and does so without a problem - so far. iCloud.com calendar also shows all of my calendar events which are synced between Mac and iPhone.
The new calendar "SBIFF" on my iPhone shows all of the events, my MacBook Calendar shows ONLY the calendar name in Calendar sidebar in the iCloud section (and it is selected - checked). None of the events are synced over from the iPhone. Also, none of the events show up in iCloud either although, once again, the calendar name "SBIFF" shows up in the sidebar.
So, help me out here. Why aren't the events showing up in iCloud or in my Mac calendar? As far as I can tell all settings on iphone, Mac and icloud are correct.

In Settings>iCloud, my account is set up and appears under heading "iCloud."
In Settings>Mail, Contacts & Calendars, same account listed under heading "iCloud."
In Calendar list in iPhone Calendar app, new calendar is listing along with all others that are part of iCloud account.
All other calendars in that account sync, just not this new one with ics data imported to iPhone.

All entries duplicated after update to new MobileMe Calendar

Since updating to the new MobileMe Calendar, all entries in my local calendars (those that appear on both my desktop and my laptop) have every entry duplicated. Each entry that was there before the upgrade is still there and it is overlaid by an identical entry at the exact same times and with the exact same text. The calendar that appears in MobileMe does not have these duplicates. Has anyone else experienced this and does anyone have a solution to remove all the duplicates?

I think I'm in over my head. Yesterday I was prompted to download and install the newest software for my iPhone 4. During the course of the install, I was asked if I wanted to use iCloud as my backup destination, and I answered "yes". Later I was also asked if I wanted to set up a MobileMe account, to facilitate being able to use "Find My Phone". I answered "yes" to that also. (I'm so easy!)
I finished the install and then last night I plugged my phone into the computer to sync and charge, as I always do. It was this morning that I noticed that all the entried in my Calendar (on the phone) were duplicated. I didn't have time to deal with it right away, and while I was at work, I entered a few appointments into my phone. After work, I noticed that not only were the entries on my phone duplicated, but the appointments entered on to my phone this morning, weren't appearing on iCal (on my computer).
My Calendar appointments are crucial to my business, and I need to be able to trust that what I enter on my phone will also show up on my computer, and vice versa. That's where I'm trying to go, and frankly, I don't really understand iCloud or MobileMe, and probably shouldn't have tried to upgrade without more knowledge.
I certainly appreciate the time and patience you've offered me, but I don't want to use your whole day. Worse comes to worst, I can always make an appointment at my local Apple Store. You've been very generous, and I appreciate it.

Access Denied error in IE 6 when opening popup calendar

We are in the process of migrating from external ITS to internal ITS. We use a javascript popup calendar which is working fine in the old external ITS, but in the internal ITS we are getting an error 'Access Denied'. This error is only occuring in IE. In Firefox the calendar is working fine.
I have read some information about this problem and it appears that IE has made it more secure for popup windows called from a differernt domain. Why is this message appearing with the Internal ITS. The javascript for the calendar is held within the service files and published to Internal with the other pages. The javascript is being found ok, it is just when the window.open is called that there is a problem.
I have read some posts about this, but none that solve the problem. It talks about SAP using domain relaxing. How do I do this?
I have tried running SAPWF_bindPageToOrigin() from SAPWEBFRAMEWORK.JS in the head of my web page, but this doesn't seem to have any affect. Could it be that I'm using it wrong?
Can anyone help?

New mobileme calendar

I upgraded to the new mobileme calendar and now when I open ical I have 2 calendar groups. 1 group called "on my mac" and one for "mobileme". I don't understand why there are 2. Before I had just 1 calendar on iCal and it was automatically synced with mobileme. Now when I add an event am I supposed to add to mobileme or "on my mac" or both? Anyone know how this is supposed to work?

You may want to go to the New Calendar section on the MobileMe support page and review it's contents. It has good information on the function of the New Calendar: http://www.apple.com/support/mobileme/
The "On My Mac" section are local calendars that exist only on the computer.
__Add calendars here if you want them to only be visible on this specific Mac
The "MobileMe Account" section are server based calendars that appear on MobileMe, your computer, and any other computer/device to which you add your MobileMe account (this takes the place of syncing the calendar as the calendar simply appears on all these devices).
__Add / make changes to Calendars listed here to see the changes appear wherever this MobileMe account is used.

I deleted all my "On My Mac" calendars and only have the ones under the MobileMe category.

Problems syncing new google calendar delegates to iPhone 3

I got a iPhone 3 a few months ago and had no problem setting up calendar so that all of my google calendar delegates are visible in both iCal and on my iPhone. I haven't had any problems with getting events to update on all of my calendars regardless of which program I use to create/ edit the event, until now. I recently created a new google calendar delegate. I can access the delegate in both iCal and on google but for some reason I can't get the new delegate to sync to my iPhone. I've tried to edit the settings in all of the programs, i've edited events on the new calendar on google on my iPhone, on my computer and on iCal but I still can't get it to show up in calendar on my iPhone. Any suggestions on fixing this problem?

I didn't know it was possible. How do I find an option to subscribe to a new calendar from within the iPhone? I've always subscribed via synching.

Upgrade to new MobilMe--calendar shifted times 3 hrs earlier

This morning I upgraded to the new MobileMe calendar. Both my computers now show all the events as occurring 3 hours earlier. The odd thing is that when I click on the event to open details, the times listed are correct. I haven't yet synched my iPhone calendar because I'm afraid that will get messed up.

Me again. I just called the Apple help line and got very good advice (less than a 5 min wait) that worked. After signing into me.com I went to my name at the upper right > Account > Personal Info. There it was apparent that I was set for California time (I'm on the east coast). It's funny that I got switched to CA and that it's in such an obscure place and separate from my computer Date & Time Preferences, but at least it worked.
I first went to the me.com settings to make sure I had Time Zone preferences clicked and turns out I did, so that wasn't the problem.

Upgraded to new MobileMe Calendar and now very slow updates

System:
iPhone 3G, iOS 4.1
Mac: 10.6.4
"Upgraded" to the new MobileMe Calendar.
Now BusyCal, iCal, MobileMe and iPhone do not sync quickly (sometimes takes 30 minutes for iPhone or more). Sometimes I need to launch iCal to get MobileMe to update. On the iPhone need to leave on for a long time or turn on and off.
I think I've gone through all the conversion steps and FAQs: Apple's, MobileMe, Mac, iPhone and BusyCal.
Maybe I was just spoiled with iPhone via Airport.
Any comments/suggestions?

I'm seeing that problem as well and I can't figure out what why it's slower. I figured it's a bug so I reported the problem at Apple's iTunes Feedback page.
On the other hand, iTunes 9 converts MP3s to AAC format at least twice as fast as iTunes 8 did, which is a very welcome improvement.
