New Portal User options are disabled when trying to create a new User

Hi All,
I am trying to create a new portal user profile using the administrator login. While doing that, I am getting all the options ( used to create the new user ) as disabled. Can anybody let me know the reason & solution of such a problem.

Anyone can provide me the document on how to create the new profile on portal. Thanks.

Hi Chander,
I just want to know if you are able to modify the attributes of an existing user. If not then you have been assigned the User Admin role (read only). Please check that. If yes then revert.

Please find below response.
1.You can create users from EAS console using maxl, if you have not externalized the users .
When we create using Maxl it will create for 'ESSBASE Servers' users but we want to create additional administrator users under 'Administrator Services' --> 'Users'. At the moment default 'Admin' users is created under 'Administrator Services' --> 'Users'.
2. you have installed your essbase in a stand -alone mode , then the option of creating users will be enabled and you can give appropriate provision to applications.
Yes. But the create users is disable for Admin.
3. Through which url are you accessing EAS console is it http://Servername:19000/workspace/index.jsp ?

Error when trying to create a new Voyager Workspace through Infoview

Hi,
When trying to create a new Voyager Workspace through Infoview, I get the following Error
"An Error hs occured while attempting to connect to the OLAP server.Failed to initialize(The following component Microsoft OLEDB Provider for Anaysis Services 2005 returned server error(An error was encountered in the transport layer;the peer prematurely closed the connection"
I clicked on New Voyager Workspace & then it displays the list of connections available. When, I click on any connection , then I receive thefollowing error

An Insight of our environment regarding this, we have an clustered environment with Voyager Installed. Platform is Windows Server 2003. We have all the required Microsoft client tools installed on the Production Servers.
This was working fine earlier. We were able to create Voyager WorkSpace at one instance of time. The problem at that point of time was the MDAS Server was not showing up in CMC, i.e as we had clustered environment, only one of the MDAS Server was showing up in the CMC. it was missing the other MDAS Server. but, at that time we were able to create Voyager Workspace.
So, in order to view the other MDAS Server in CMC, we had changed the name of the Server in CCM for both the MDAS Servers.
In detail, Server A.MDAS Server & Server B.MDAS Server- they both were not showing up in CMC. only one of them was showing up in Servers list in CMC.
So, in CCM we had changed the name of Server1.MDAS server to be Server1 &
for Server2.MDAS Server to be Server1 as well.
AFter this both the MDAS Servers were showing uo in CMC.
but, when I login into Infoview & click on new Voyagerworkspace & select a connection, I recieve the follwoing error

Request to let me know the possible steps in resolving this ASAP

Try to create the objects again and take the screenshot of SU53 when you get the error and see the authorization object for which you are getting the error here.
It is possible that you dont have development authorization.
Also the issue could be that the system is not configured to create the objects begining with Z.
Check this with basis as well.

I've been running into this error message when trying to create a new subsite
Sorry, something went wrong
The formula cannot refer to another column. Check the formula for spelling mistakes or update the formula to reference only this column.
Note everything was working fine before, this just started happening recently...
At first I thought it was because of my template, but as I have tried, I can't even create subsite using the templates provided by Sharepoint...
has anybody encountered similar problems recently?
Any help is apprieciated!

If you create asubsite using the SharePoint default template, what error did you meet? Was it same with the error?
Which site template did you use for the parent site?
Please check whether you can create subsite at other site collection.
In addition, please trace the exact error by using Correlation ID.

RAC: ocfs-option disabled when trying to create database with dbca.

Hi everybody,
I have a really weird problem running dbca in my 2-node RAC installation on Red Hat ES.
The software version of both oracle clusterware and rdbms is 10.2.0.2.0, meaning the latest patchset has been applied.
I have installed and configured ocfs, and 4 different ocfs-partition are neatly presented to the operating system. I can save files and browse the ocfs file system, everything seems to be working fine.
Also, srvctl status nodeapps -n <nodename> shows that oracle clusterware is running nicely, all the components are up including the listener, which I used netca to configure.
However, when trying to create a cluster database using dbca, the option to use ocfs is not enabled, e.g it is "grayed out" in the Oracle Universal installer. So is raw devices option. The only option left is the ASM, which is selectable in the OUI.
In addition, I can indeed run scripts manually and create a single-instance database and use the ocfs-partitions for the datafiles, redo logs and archivelogs. No problems at all!
Do any of you guys have the slightest clue what can be causing this behaviour? Of course I have raised an issue with Oracle Support, but while waiting for an update, it doesn't hurt trying the forum.

AIS freezes when trying to create a new metadata catalog

I'm really new in EIS/AIS. We are using EIS and Essbase version 9.3.1. I just created a new odbc connection to our data warehouse (Oracle in OraHome92). I tried to create a new catalog but EIS freezes. When I tried to "end task" the console, it closes and would get a message "olapbldr error". Need to know how to fix this. Problem when trying to create a new user

Hi experts!!
I am working on EP 7.0 ABAP & JAVA stack, so the UME datasource is the R3_DATASOURCE.
When i try to create to create a new user from the portal i get the following message:
Current user has user creation permissions in the UME, but cannot create users in the back-end system (data source). The original and possibly untranslated message was: "No active writeable datasource found for user creation, check your Persistence Configuration.".
But i am actually able to create users to the ABAP client.
Any ideas???

The file dataSourceConfiguration_abap.xml enables you to create users only in the ABAP system. Once the UME is configured to use the AS ABAP as a data source, you cannot create users in the database of the AS Java; though you can still delete and edit existing users. ABAP roles determine your write access to the ABAP user management. If you have read-only access, you cannot create any users. The UME does not default to creating users in the local database of the AS Java. Nor can you edit or delete users in the AS ABAP without read-write access.

Error when trying to create a new movie in iMovie

I am currently using a late 2013 MacBook Pro with Retina Display, 2.4 GHz Intel Core i5 processor, 4 GB 1600 Mhz DDr3 Memory, and 121 GB Flash Storage, running OS X Yosemite 10.10.2.
I am having issues creating a new movie in my iMovie application (Versions 10.0.7). After selecting my theme and choosing a name for my new project I receive the following error message.
I have tried deleting and reinstalling the application, resetting the application preferences, deleting the application preferences and repairing the permissions. Nothing has worked. Thank you for your assistance.

Query Panel won't open when trying to create a new report

When I am attempting to create a new report in Desktop Intelligence 11.5.0.0, and choose my universe, my query panel does not open - it appears to be "hidden" somewhere in the background because I cannot click on anything else in DeskI until I hit . I have tried rebooting and closing and restarting Desktop Intelligence but it doesn't work..Even when I try and view it from an existing report it doesn't work either.

Following solution might help you to resolve the issue.
To resolve the behavior
1.Click Start > Run. The Run dialog box appears.
2.Type "regedit" in the Open field. Click OK. The Registry Editor dialog box appears.
3.Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Business Objects\Suite 6.0\default\BusinessObjects\<username>User Prefs\Query Panel.
4.Right-click Query Panel > click Delete.
The folder will be recreated the next time the application is opened.
5.Close the Registry Editor.
6.Restart the computer.
The Query Panel will now be available for creating new queries and editing existing queries

When I try to create a new BW object that begins with Z (infofuente, infoarea, component application), I skip the following error.
Namespace''is not a valid namespace BI
Message no. R7017
Diagnosis
Namespace''must be entered in both the BI RSNSPACE table and the basic table TRSNSPACE or the view V_TRNSPACE. You also have to enter the relevant generation namespace '& V2' in TRNSPACE table. This value is taken from table RSNSPACE.
Both namespaces must be set to 'Changeable' - providing they are not empty.
Response System
You can not edit or create an object in this namespace.
Procedure
Use a different name.
Or contacct your system administrator. He / she can switch to the namespaces' Changeable 'using SE06 transaction, or - if they do not already exist - enter them in the table above named using sm30 transaction.
If the namespace '& V1' is empty, then the problem is with the generation namespace '/ BIC /'.

CS5 Bridge crashes when trying to create a new subdirectory

Bridge version 4.*.*, Windows 8.
Was working perfectly for months then tonight decided to crash when I try to create a new subdirectory.
When I try to create the subdirectory it closes and I get a window telling me Windows is trying to find a solution.
What is the issue have how do I get a remedy.
I thought OK, the application got corrupted, so I will download and install a new version of bridge.
That seems to not be possible as there is no Bridge for CS5 download on the download menu.
What is the solution? Thanks.

Error when trying to create a 'New Chat'

Using 10.3.9, whenever I try and create a new chat to speak with multiple friends, i get this error:
NSImageCacheException:
Can't cache image
It does not crash the application, but I cannot add anybody to the chat. It completely locks up that particular 'new chat' but my other chats continue to work with no problems. Any suggestions?

I take it this is when you are starting a group Text chat as opposed to a 1-1 Text chat.
A "plain" Text chat can manage on the login port of 5190 on the TCP protocol to pass the data through a modem or router's firewall.
A Group Chat (or Direct chat and file sending) need to have this port open to the UDP protocol.
Do you know if this is a port and protocol that is open or are you using UPnP in your device(s) ?

If you wish to have complete control of all client settings, yes. There really is no disadvantage of using an Advanced configuration other than the learning curve.

we were planning to Upgrade from AGPM 4.0 to AGPM 4.0 SP2. The new AGPM should be placed on a new server. Additionally we created a new service account as the password of the old service account has been lost. We granted the new service account Full Rights
in "Domain Delegeation" and "Product Delegation", then stopped the AGPM Service on the old server.
On the new server AGPM was installed using the new service account, then the service was stopped and the archive was copied rom the old to the new server. The customer could edit policies, but not deploy them. Because of this, we changed back to the old
server, but copied the folders that were changed on the new server to keep them up to date.
Now creating a controlled Group Policy from a template causes the error
„The system cannot find the file specified. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070002). We tried several templates and even created new ones but the problem persists.
The following things do work:
- editing a controlled policy
- renaming a controlled policy
- check in/check out of a policy
- set a uncontrolled policy to controlled (needs to grant the serviceaccount Full rights to the policy before)
- deletion of a controlled policy
- creating a template from a policy

0x80070002 usually means that the source could not be found or located. Make sue that the FQDN path to your templates is the correct one as well as your DNS is
properly configured.

"Unsorted bookmarks" got renamed when trying to create a new folder?

I added a new bookmark by clicking the little star in the adress bar, then clicked it again to edit the bookmark. I wanted to move it out of the "Unsorted bookmarks" folder into a new folder named "Minecraft stuff", so i clicked "Bookmark menu" and then clicked "New folder".
It created a new folder for me to rename, so I named it "Minecraft stuff", but then when i clicked elsewhere, the folder disappeared. And then I noticed that "Unsorted bookmarks had been renamed into "Minecraft stuff" :/
I cannot find anywhere how to undo this.
When i go into the bookmark library, it is still called minecraft stuff, but down below in the little box it says "Name: Unsorted bookmarks". Really weird...

If you just want to rename the folder, hit CTRL+I to open the sidebar, right click the folder, go to Properties and then rename it in the dialog box which appears.
