New Powerbook 15" screen wake up issue. (apart from the audio bug)

I just bought the pbook 15 and of course i have the audio stuttering problem.
As if that's not annoying enough - my pbook screen have difficulties coming out of sleep.
External monitor connected to DELL 19" LCD with screen rotaton.
When the pbook idle for an hour or so both screens go blank (as they should). But when I try to use the computer, everything slows down to a crawl... it is so slow i can't even initiate a restart. The only way out is power button reset. I'd hate to do this everytime i leave the computer for a while.
I've checked console and system logs. No errors found. Anyone encountered this? any ideas where else to look?
If it's a hardware thing, then i can get it changed within the next 3 days.
btw, machine has 2G Ram.

The best thing you can do is to erase + reinstall.
Once this is done then it will run faster as again Apple clones drives from a Firewire drive and is not a custom install so some bugs maybe in there.
As for the 70%+ it is either a antivirus program or scheduled program so look in hd/library/startup items and remove what you don't need or sys prefs. user login items.
Also launch "activity monitor" from aplications/utilities/** and select all processes and have the highest real ram on top of list.
This way when it goes sky high it will either use a lot of ram or the cpu usage will peak and you can narrow it down to a specific program.
Once you have the problem program decide does what you want to do with it and if it is needed by the system to run.
If not then delete it.
Likely you know everything I mentioned here but a reinstall made mine much better more than this I do not know.
Also any test Apple has can not tell you about hardware being funny only when it is bust might it show you this and even then I doubt it.
Never showed anything with my Pbook 15" 1.5ghz and it died 4+ times.
If you need a antivirus get ClamXav from clamxav.com it might be ugly but it works like a charm and is free.
Just be carefull not to scan any system folder rather scan user folder and other files/folders you created .
