New PowerBook Ti User Wants Input on BEST Carrying Case

Just got a beautiful 15-inch Titanium, hardly used!
I'm so excited, but have become quickly confused about choosing a PowerBook Case and additional accessories.
This is my first notebook, so every case, stand, pad, skin, protector I read about sounds ideal, but I can't get them all.....
Anyone who has a moment to offer their "Best of the Best" two cents on any of the following:
PowerBook Carrying Case;
PowerBook Stand;
Keyboard/Screen Protector;
Skin
ANYTHING ELSE I HAVEN'T THOUGHT OF;
Please respond freely. All info is welcome and appreciated! PS- Ideally, I'd like a Carrying Case that can transform into a stable work surface, possibly with a cooling device if necessary.

I use a Tenba case for my Ti and am quite satisfied with it. I also use a leather screen saver from Other world computing, but I have heard from many others that a piece of notebook paper works just as well. I considered buying a TiHandle (not sure if these are still on the market) but never got around to it.
As far as accessories are concerned, an iPod is the ultimate, an Airport express comes in handy, and a mighty mouse helps with long hours of work.

That is one loaded question. As with beauty, the best looking case is in the eye of the beholder, and the same for the best case. If there were only a few cases available from one or two case manufacturers only, maybe an easier question to answer, but there are a number of different types and styles of cases available from a significant numbed of case manufacturers.

Best carrying case for 17" PB?

I'll be getting a 17" Powerbook soon and am curious about a suitable carrying case. I have narrowed it down to the Chrome Kremlin Bike Messenger Bag and the Crumpler Cashmere Blazer Messenger Bag. Both say that they accomodate 17" laptops but I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions about these or other cases? I am a graduate student so I need to carry my entire life with me. thanks.

I suggest the timbuk2 bags made to fit the 17" powerbook. theyre a little pricey but are practically indestructible, look super cool and fit my powerbook in a cozy little corduroy pocket. i highly recommend all the timbuk2 messenger bags. here's a link:

New MacBook Pro User wanting to move iTunes Music Only over from PC

Hi All,
This weekend I purchased my first MacBook Pro and loving every minute of it... Makes me wonder why I hadn't moved to Mac's a long time aago, and really seeing the difference between Windows and its slugishness to Mac and its "PERFORMANCE"!
However, with that asside what I am trying to find out is how do I move my purhcased only iTunes files from my PC to my MacBook Pro?
For example, I have some iTunes purchases like Celine Dion's last CD with digital artwork album and stuff in my iTunes on my PC. But because my iTunes library is so old it also has some songs which are in MP3 format from my earlier Creative Labs Zen device. What I want to really do is move those iTunes only purchases with artwork and movies from my PC to my MacBook to enjoy (which include movies as well).
Can anyone advise how this can be done without replacing my entire iTunes folder on the MacBook? I really don't want to have to purchase all of these songs again, but again would like to keep the artwork and movies all attached as they should be on the Mac world.
Basically I'm trying to keep the MacBook as the master owner of my digital iTunes purchases from here on out!
While I know I might be a little "AR" (the last word is retentive, you can figure out what the A stands for)... This would be my ultimate goal...
I've seen some articles on how to do this with iTunes 7, but again know some things have changed and modified with the 8 versions.

Though it refers to items purchased from the iTunes Store, it applies to all your iTunes content. And if you happen to also own an iPod:

Once you have the tracks on some removable medium, you can mount that on your new computer and then just drag the content to the iTunes window. Make sure that the option to "copy files to iTunes Music folder when adding to library" is set in the iTunes -> Advanced -> General preferences before you do. Alternatively, you can use the Add To Library command and select each track (or folder of tracks).
If you won't be using that Windows system once you move the content, don't forget to deauthorize the system from your iTunes Store account before you dispose of the computer.

A new powerbook G4 user!

Hello,
Could somebody please help me here coz everything is quiet new for me. I'm trying to open up some applications i downloaded from the apple website ,
but as i try to open them up a window pops up saying there's no default
application chosen to open the file. I don't know what application to chose,
i did try to find my way through, but the more i got confused. I hope some of you would be able to help me out with this problem. My operating system is Mac OS X v. 10.4

Welcome to the forum.
If the files have a .sit or .hqx extension you will need Stuffit Expander. This is a free download and you can get it from here:
http://www.stuffit.com/mac/expander/download3.html
The file will be a .dmg file. This is a self expanding image. Double click it to mount the imafe and then double click the Stuffit installer file. Once installed you will then be able to open compressed files with a .sit or .hqx extension.

Power up the Power Mac G4 and hold the "T" key while it is booting (this puts the G4 notebook in Firewire Target Disk mode). Connect the G4 notebook to the newer MacBook Pro and use the Migration assistant (/Applications/Utilities) OR browse through the files and copy what you want.

If both have Firewire ports then you can accomplish your goal by using Target Disk Mode. If this is not possible then you can do using an external drive or if you have a local network connect both to your network and use filesharing between the two computers.

User wants to schedule the process chain - what is the best practice

I posted earler and got the anwser.
Create a custom ABAP program that calls the RSPC_API_CHAIN_START Function Module, with a selection for the Process Chain where your user can enter the Meta Chain name to start the process.
To make it simpler for the user to execute this, create a custom tcode for them in SE93, so that they logon to your BW environment, call up that tcode, enter the Meta Chain name and execute. With this, they wouldn't have to have access to RSPC.
I did the above and the user not able to execute it since he doesn't have access to the cube/dso to update the cube.
To overcome this I wrote another abap program and used the
SUBMIt program user ALEREMOTE
and there is a problem.I called the process chain start program using ALEREMOTE .
Now the user needs access to authorization object S_BTCH_NAM and authorization field BTCUNAME with value ALEREMOTE.
So again due to SOX the basis doesn't want to give the necessary access.
What is the best solution.
How in general if the user needs to execute the process chain how they do it.
Please let me know. Thanks for your help in advance.

In general production scenerio, we do not run process chain manually. To execute a process chain you should have necessary authorization. As you have assigned alertmote in the start variant, any user other thatn that will not be able to trigger the same.
Instead of alertmote , use the nornal start variant to trigger the process chain and give the user the normal authorization. Whenever user wants to run the infopackage manually or via process chain they should have the auth to view the infoprovider content as well....

User wants to get the cumulative values based on his input.

I am working one FI Report; the out put values are Cumulative values for Current, Previous years. I developed and it fetches the data last 3 years Cumulative years data without any input FYMonth based on SAPexits and varible offsets. But user wants to put Fiscal year Month as input. So he wants get the cumulative values based on his input. For example, If his input SEP'2005(062005), Then Query gives the Output Cumulative Value (I.e., Sum of Total values of Form APR'2005 to SEP'2005)
Please provide the solution

You can try doing this.
1. If the user input is fiscal period(2005006) , you can create a customer exit variable which will take the user value (i_step =2), and change the variable value to 20005001. (this is a simple code where tye last 2 digits are replaced by 01).
if the user is entering calmonth, you can use FM - DATE_TO_PERIOD_CONVERT, to convert the month to fiscal period.
2. You can create a rkf with restrictions on time char based on the customer exit variable and the user entered variable.
