New powerbookg4 fails to aol through a pc network

HELP! i have tried almost everything in vain. i bought a powerbook g4, it has jaguar runnin on it, and i've learned a good bit about it. its my first mac. my parents have a network setup that uses aol. the network set up is a wireless one so im trying to use my airport card to connect. i can see the network, i can even trade files between my powerbook and other computers on the network. but i cannot get safari or aol to connect to the internet and its not the aol software i've rebooted it atleast 20 times and it works using the internal modem and it also works using airport at other wifi areas such as school......i can ping the network, and i have my own ip address for the network(according to the tcp/ip box in the network preferences. please please please someone help me

I have just bought a Powerbook G4 and I have the same issue as you...Somehow AOL is in the midst of this..I am struggling right now..I just cannot connect to Internet or AOL site from Safari..(though I have NOT installed AOL software on the Powerbook but only on the PC-Windows 2000 base that is enabled wireless and functioning with NETGEAR router) I am told that Safari should be able to detect the wireless base and be able to connect to any Internet site including AOL without the need of installing AOL to the Powerbook...but I am NOT sure about all that yet...
..What did you end up doing to resolve your issue??....Help!!

All other non music file transfers (WORD, EXCEL, etc) from the old hard drive to the new computer were successful. Is this a file type issue? Any thoughts?? THANKS!

22020134.exe is the file Adobe say you must download and run to instal Acrobat 7.0 Pro. I went through the process, the one described in your link, I downloaded the file, ran it, it runs well, except it tells me my serial number is invalid. Now what? Does this mean I now have to discard my Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Professional and start again with a $500 purchase? All I want to do is transfer what I have to another computer.

Installation failed installation completed through some components failed to instal correctly

Hello i've been really exited to donload photoshop and so i decided to try the free version i downloaded creative cloud and went into th eapps and click on photoshop try it free i waited a few 30 mins and it stopped and told me this

and then i was like whatttt?!?!?!?!?
so I decided to come here and ask why this is happening please answer ASAP I really need photoshop for important stuff!!!

Try restarting your computer, then try again. Awhile back, some of the apps which I think included photoshop require the microsoft runtime to be updated. That runtime requires a restart to finish installing. But since it is a piggyback program, the error code telling you do so is hidden in the log file.
If it still does not install let us know.

No answer to this question on 9/5. Older Firefox version works great. New one fails to load websites and is slow when it does. Often requires loading browser twice. Site load only partially. Have Mac lap top 10.5.8. Is Firefox working on this problem?

Having trouble accessing AOL through the mac mail program

Accessing mail from AOL through the Mac mail applicantion has never been a problem. Now all of a sudden it is. Software is up to date, tried working with Apple personnel, no luck. Any suggestions?

When you're in mail, if you click on window, and connection doctor, what does it tell you about your AOL account? If it's a green light status, your Apple mail is able to sign into AOL without issue. If it's red, and you double click on it, it should take you to the part of your profile that needs fixing.

I also tried manually underlining a few things on the new iPad and when highlighting a paragraph, it would skip a few lines and the line would go through a few as well. Looks like a major iBooks glitch needs to be addressed here.

ok...i'm not sure how at all...but, a couple hours have passed since i posted this and while i was hoping someone would reply i was finishing up some old work on my old, extremely slow emac. anyways, i decided to go ahead and try to install leopard again from the normal standard method. (which is just clicking the icon once the leopard install window comes up). Guess what? now it's 50% into the installation!! i don't want to count my chickens before they hatch...especially after some of the discussions i've read about leopard so far...but, i'm hopeful
who knows how...i'm clueless and it doesn't make much sense to me. but, i'll come back and let anyone who cares know how the install went.
note for anyone with similar problems:
another strange fix to the 'leopard dvd ejecting on install' is to let the dvd chill in the drive for a couple hours...then try it again. HAHAHAHAHA!!!! worked for me

Make sure the volume on the iPod is turned up fully, since this will affect what you hear through the stereo.
Make sure Volume Limit is set to full. (From Main Menu, Settings/Volume Limit)
If you purchased your iPod inside the EU (European Union), then the maximum volume from the headphone jack is lower than elsewhere in the world. If this is the case, buy yourself a 30-pin Dock Connector to 3.5mm jack lead, such as the one linked here...

That connector will take a higher volume out (than the European Union's output) and that will be louder (and hopefully loud enough) through your stereo.

HT1296 Having difficulty getting music from my old 4S to transfer to my new 5S. I go through a Sync process and when it gets to the last step of Sync, the blue Audio bar shrinks back to show the few albums that are already on the phone.

I've been trying to get songs from my old 4S to my new 5S. I am using a computer to accomplish this. My 5s has a few albums I purchased from iTUnes. I see all the music I want to transfer to my new phone. I go through a Sync process and it cycles through the steps but the music will not get to my new phone. I used the Manage my music configuration.

hi i had the same problem today when i updated my itunes to latest version. however, i have just found my songs in the 'itunes media' folder. this was accessed through 'my music' then keep clicking through until you find itunes media and all my library songs were in there and i then just added these files to my library and all were restored however, i have lost all my playlists but at least my 700 songs are back. very dissapointed with apple that they have let this happen with their latest update, the previous version was miles better than this one . hope you find them. stevo

IPhone 4 calls fail mid way through a call

My iPhone had been great until about 2days ago,
It started saying call fail mid way through a call I have full reception but it still fails.
It takes around 5mins till it fails and then i can recall and it is fine for a little bit,
it has don't this on a few calls not just to the same person
Around the same time this started to happen, my Bluetooth stopped working it connects just fine and I press call on it and it work but it has stopped connecting the call to it. I can even hang up without the call going through it.
I don't know whether it is just a coincidence or not.
