New presets for AME CS6 now available

Several new presets for Adobe Media Encoder CS6 have been posted, including a set of ProRes presets (Mac only, requires the ProRes codec to be installed), MXF OP1a presets as well as presets for tablet devices. After you install these presets (installation instructions on the download page) these presets will be available inside Prelude.
You will find the links to the presets in the Add-ons section towards the bottom of the page.

@tlc51369:
Thanks for the heads up. I know you've been on the lookout for this for awhile now.
Does anyone know: is this exactly the same as the v 4.0.1.078 that has already been distributed?

    Hi all,
Great news for Asha 302 and 303 users! Mail for Exchange is now available for download in Nokia Store free of charge. From today, the app will be available for most English speaking countries but we expect to make it available for more markets during coming weeks.  Mail For Exchange is a mobile email application that allows you to stay easily connected to your email, contacts and calendar. More information about the application and the rollout can be found from here.
Note: Mail For Exchange for Asha 302 & 303 requires the following phone software version: (Dial *#0000# in the device standby screen to check the current SW version of your mobile):
Asha 302: Software version 14.53 or higher
Asha 303: Software version 14.60 or higher
You can easily update your phone to a compatible software version by using Nokia Suite. The mentioned software releases are not currently available as Over-The-Air (OTA) updates yet. If you need help with how to update your phone, you can find instructions here.
Enjoy the new Mail for Exchange!

    Unfortunately no.
I the past I managed to install the app on several Asha 302 with no problem,
I used Nokia suite 3.8.48 connected with a Asha 302 phone.
Now, when I searched for Mail for Exchange app the Nokia suite didn't show me the app.
I think that now i am in the wrong country :-)
( maybe that regional exceptions apply)
Finaly I finded a solution : I made a backup from another Asha 302 with app installed on it in the past and I made a restore only with phone settings and applications.

  • Cannot create new presets in AME CC 2014

Whenever I go into AME CC 2014 and try and create a new preset, this is what I see: Strange Adobe Media Encoder CC 2014 Bug - YouTube.
Also, whenever I quit AME, even when it's running idle, just sitting there not doing anything, I always get the unexpectedly quit error message: Screenshot on 2014-07-30 at 02:24:31.png • Droplr Every single time I quit AME I get that, no matter what – super strange.
I transcode my DSLR and AVCHD media via AME (well, I used to, that is) and now I'm kind of stuck. Without creating a preset first in AME, you can't choose ProRes or any other custom codec from Prelude's transcode codec drop-down menu as it pulls directly from AME.
Anyway, that's beside the point. Anyone know how to fix the issue I'm seeing demonstrated in the video screen grab above? I've tried clearing prefs, and fresh re-installing AME CC 2014 – all to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated – thanks!

Yes, AME was working properly before. It seems to have happened after I installed the very latest update to AMECC14, however. I'm not sure if that's what did it in though.
This is what I'm seeing – "Presets" isn't even a folder, it is an alias file. Could that be my problem? Will AME re-create those files if I just erase all of the "8.0" folder's contents and re-launch AME? I'm confused, because I assumed uninstalling AMECC14 and doing a fresh re-install would do the trick, but maybe not.
Here are my Adobe folder permissions, Adobe Media Encoder folder's permissions, and the 8.0 folder's permissions. I am seeing Read & Write permissions for my username, but for "everyone" it says "Read Only" – could that be an issue as well?
Thanks so much for your help MMeguro!

  • IE10 for Windows 7 now available

    Hi All
If anyone is interested the IE10 preview, (really a 'Beta') is now available for Windows 7 in both 32bit and 64 bit versions, download available at - http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/internet-explorer/ie-10-release-preview the actual download is quite large, (don't be fooled by the initial exe file download)
    Should you install it?
If you have IE9 and a separate IE tester such as IETabs for Firefox, then I would say yes. IE10 is faster, renders most of the newer css3 features that IE9 had missing such as css animations, columns, transitions, and even supports the css 'font-feature-settings', (to list just a few reasons).
BUT, if you have no way of testing in IE9 without using the meta tag to force IE10 to render as IE9, (or even any version down to IE5.5) then I would say wait, as IE9 is now the most popular IE browser and testing in IE9 is, (or should be) a requirement.
WARNING: IE10 that is not in a lower browser mode, DOES NOT recognize IECC's, but then again it does not need to.
    PZ
One other thing IE10 does not use IEFilters, but css3. So ensure your sites have the -ms- prefix for any css requiring them or the unprefixed version for those that do not.

    Preparing to Upgrade
As a best practice, IronPort recommends preparing for an upgrade by taking the following steps:
    1. Save the XML configuration file off of the appliance.
    2. Suspend the listeners.
    3. Drain the mail queue and the delivery queue.
    4. Re-enable the listeners after you upgrade.

I haven't upgraded to 5.5.0 yet, but I was very excited to learn about end-user whitelists and blacklists, which is something we'd been pushing for since we bought our Ironports. Unfortunately, it looks like it's being implemented in a way that makes it impossible for me to deploy at this time.
We have two C350s, and would need the whitelists and blacklists to appear on each box. It appears that I could do this by exporting the database from one machine, transferring it to the other, and then importing it. However, this appears to ONLY be able to be done via the GUI.
This is a showstopper for me, because I do not want to have to log into the Ironport every day to import and export the databases - I would want to automate it. I talked to technical support, and it appears that there is no way to do this via the CLI.
My feature request is this: please consider adding a command that would allow me to remotely force the database to be dumped, and another command to import the database.
Ideally, it would be something like:
    safelistconfig dump
    safelistconfig import
If that was available, I would make my users a lot happier with this feature.

  • Lightroom 3.3 and New Preset for External Editor

I have a strange problem here. Using Windows XP Profesional, SP3 4gb Ram.
When I want to add a new External Editor, I open Edit -> Preferences ->Additional External Editor.
I set my parameteres, choosing Photoshop CS4...same as in the Edit In Photoshop CS4 section above it, except that this time, I want to change the Bit-Depth to 8-bit and the resolution to 300, I do that and save the new preset as "Photoshop 8-bit". All OK. I close Lightroom so that the changes can take effect (not sure if I need to).
When, in the Develop module, I find a picture that I want to edit in Photoshop, I right click the image (or Photo -> Edit In) and choose my new preset "Photoshop 8-bit".
The next dialogue opens, and behold...I get the standard Edit In Photoshop CS4 dialogue box. Clicking Copy File Options confirms that I am opening the file using the original Edit In Photoshop CS4 (the top option group in the Edit ->Preferences section). The bit-depth is back to 16 bit, and the resolution is back to 240.
What happened to my new preset? Why is the open file reverting to the original Edit in Photoshop CS4, and not my new preset conditions?
What have I done wrong? Solutions? It all looked pretty straightforward in Ms Kost's AdobeTV programme.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions
    Regards
    David

  • Is it possible to create a new preset for Export/Quicktime Conversion ?

    Hi,
I was wondering if there is a way to make a new export preset for the Export with Quicktime Conversion, in FCE HD 3.5
I am working on preparing a file for YouTube, and finding that some of the video effects render differently when exported, so I am having to render a couple of tests, but with YouTube's new 640x360 16:9 format, there is no easy way to do this other than checking the settings at each export. If one could make a new preset, it would be much easier. Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    t

    thankyousir.
I think that Apple could add this, easily, as a feature to what, essentially, is QT Pro, and its embedded brother in FCE. Apple could also release a tiny update for QT including the new YouTube format... I haven't checked if iMovie knows about this new resolution, though it does upload directly to the tube itself.
    Thanks for your time,
    T

  • Native Adobe Content Viewer for Android is now available!

The native Adobe Content Viewer is now available in Google Play for your downloading pleasure. Grab it here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.adobe.dps.contentviewer. The legacy air viewer is still available at https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=air.com.adobe.contentviewer.
Note that in this first release your sign in will automatically expire after 30 minutes. We realize this is a bit of a pain but wanted to get the viewer out for people rather than waiting even longer to add auto-renew of the credentials. We’ll get this taken care of with our next update, due in about three weeks.
    Enjoy!
    Neil

Installation works flawlessly. So far I've only been testing with the normal desktop preview. Now I wanna try the preview function for android (I think the previous version didn't work, right?) from the folio overlay panel but I cannot seem to find my Nexus 10 device even though I am logged in with the same account on both InDesign and the Nexus 10. Any ideas what I could be doing wrong?
Nevermind I got it to work. But how do I update my folio once I uploaded it to the folio producer?
Also there's something that I'd like to achieve now.
The content viewer browser version (checked via whatismybrowser.com) is:
    Chrome 30
    Version 3.0.0.0
    Webkit 537.36
    The installed chrome is:
    Chrome 32
    Version 32.0.1700.99
    Webkit 537.36
The 32 version has WebGL enabled or rather it works better. By default only the normal WebGL features are enabled in Chrome. The experimental WebGL features (found under chrome://flags/) have to be activated manually. I suppose the WebM view of the viewer doesn't have these enabled. Can I enable these fancy features somehow?

  • Any news on new presets for Logics instruments?

I had heard that the relatively limited presets on all of Logics instruments were going
to be expanded upon. Is there any info on whether this has materialized or not. If
the new EXS instruments are cool that would be great but I sure would like to see more
    presets on the other ones.
So far I am looking forward to getting my copy. I also wonder if installing on the same machine will remove 7.2 or will it be added to rather than over it?.

First of all, there are many new presets in most of the synths. The LP7 presets are often now found in a presets folder called "Legacy Presets" or something similar.
I did find a site with some cool Guitar Amp Pro presets. The site also has synth presets, midi drum files, etc. They're not free, but a lot of the GAP presets do sound good. I have no affiliation with the company making them.

  • New PC for Adobe CS6

OK, I know I have not been around in a long time, but I need some help. I have read a tremendous amount of online material regarding the components I want for a new editing PC to use with the Creative Cloud.
Rather than clog up the forums, I put up a page with the specs I am looking at, set up an email address for suggestions and an email address for integrators to use if they want to quote it. I want to pull the trigger on Friday June 15th.
I would really appreciate it if some of you would take a look and let me know what you think. I am OK with what I listed on the page, but I want you all to poke holes in it if I have made a mistake.
I would also appreciate some quotes. Either for the system as shown, or one that is along the same lines using your own suggestions.
If you think your suggestions warrant everyone seeing them, please feel free to put them here.
And yes, I really do plan on cleaning up my web site and bringing it current.
    Thanks,
    Steven Gotz
    http://www.stevengotz.com/New_PC_for_CS6.htm

I made my decision. I am buying my PC from ADK in Kentucky. http://www.adkvideoediting.com/
Eric was just so helpful with his explanations, even through a lot of changes. I wanted someone to challenge my assumptions and he seemed happy to do that. The fact that he is on the Adobe Forums so prominently really made a difference. I used to be a fixture here. This is where I got my start. I have to say I got a lot of help refining my thoughts on this from two other integrators and people on this forum as well.
Anyway, here it is. This is what we came up with. It just so happens, that after everything is said and done, it came to only USD $79.00 over my original budget. Pretty remarkable. Yes, I took a few shortcuts. I settled on 32G of RAM. And I settled on the ever so slightly less powerful GTX670 instead of the GTX680. The “bang for the buck” on the GTX670 was just too good to pass up. I also gave up my second optical drive. It would have required another SATA port and it really was just there because my last system had one. I have only used it a few times over the last few years and I can do without it.
I got rid of the card reader also. If I need one, I can get a USB version. It was also just something I threw in there – just in case.
Surprise, surprise, surprise! I am going to have Eric overclock it after all!  Hey, he supports them after the sale, and he basically said it is almost silly not to do it with the parts I am using. The reduction in price due to the change of the GTX680 for the GTX670 more than made up for the charge to overclock the system.  I can live with that.
I was told when I first started all of this research that I should contact Eric. I rather wish I had. And just let him help me get to where I am now without quite so much tedious research and tearing out of what little hair I have left. Oh, well. Live and learn.
Quite a bit of thanks goes out to Bill Gehrke and Harm Millaard. By the way, neither of those names is particularly easy to spell without looking them up. ;-)  Those two guys have been at this a long time. Heck, Harm beat me to joining the Adobe forums by a whole 13 days back in 2002!
I can’t wait to get this system humming and I look forward to running the CS6 version of the benchmark test at http://ppbm5.com/ - It doesn’t look like the CS6 version is ready for us to use it yet, but I did a little poking around and it looks like those two might be pretty close to getting it ready. Hopefully by the time I get my system.
I did not include the price here, because such things change quickly, I imagine, and I don’t want to put Eric on the spot. But you can use their online configuration tool and get pretty close if you are curious. They don’t exactly have this configuration on their site. But I am sure if you called and asked for the Steven Gotz special, they would help you out. But by the time I have it in my possession and get it benchmarked, something new and better and faster will be available. That is inevitable. It is probably a lot easier just to tell Eric what you want to do, and let him advise you as to the best way to do it.
I am on the road for business and the company laptop won't let me FTP. So I can't post this on my web site. That will have to wait until this weekend.

    Richard,
You'll need to have 1.0.2.2 to be installed on the middle tier before performing the upgrade for your portal 3.0.9 upgrade repository on the database end. So that means, you'll need to wait for the Linux download of iAS 1.0.2.2 to be available before beginning your upgrade of the portal repository, assuming that your middle tier of iAS is also on a Linux box.
iAS 1.0.2.2 does indeed include Portal 3.0.9, of which Portal 3.0.9 components will be installed during the upgrade process along with the upgrade of the middle tier. During the upgrade process, the installer (from my personal experience on NT), will notify you that it is performing an upgrade installation of your middle tier, provided that you specified the middle tier's ORACLE_HOME when executing the oracle installer.
Just be sure to read and follow the 9iAS Migration guide before beginning your upgrade of the middle tier to iAS 1.0.2.2. After upgrading the middle tier to 1.0.2.2, the actual upgrade of the portal repository was extremely simple by comparison.
The upgrade of the portal repository took a few hours (my recommendation is to invoke it off before leaving for the evening), and it will leave a detailed logfile for you to peruse afterwards, if you choose).
    Best Regards,
    Harry

  • ProRes Presets for Premiere CS6

Is it possible to import, capture or convert to ProRes? In the 6.0.1 update download, or a link near it, I got ProRes presets from Adobe. The only place If found such presets installed was in the Application folder of Photoshop CS 6 Applications/Photoshop CS6/Presets/Video/Adobe Media Encoder   Is this where they should be placed? Is there a way to get them to all show up at once under a folder named ProRes or should they be placed in the Quicktime folder there? I was able to bring up one at a time by navigating there in the export window, but it would seem to be better if they all just showed up. I was able to export successfully to ProRes 422 using that file path to apply the preset, but have not tried to cross convert or import. Does it work for that and what is the procedure? I have all the ProRes codecs installed from Final Cut Pro as well as the latest ProApps ProRes install. Thanks.
