New printer not completing install

HELP!!Yesterday I purchased new I tried to install the above printer using the supplied USB cable and CD allowing access to online updates and restricting access. Every time the final stage of the installation fails. I have used the HP troubleshooter and followed the instructions to uninstall and disable startup software but this has not helped. I have live windows updates and they are all installed. Final install message readsUSB Composite Device                     - Ready to useHP Deskjet 1510 series (USB)      - Ready to useHP Deskjet 1510 series (REST)    - Ready to useUSB Printing Support                       - Ready to useHP Deskjet 1510 series                      X Failed After all this the Scanner works but any document sent to print goes through the stages up to 'pending' but then dissappears from the documents to be printed list.On using the 'Find Printers' button I get the message 'Active Directory Domain Services currently unavailable.'I have tried the Printers and Hardware and Devices troubleshooters but they have not helped.Can anyone offer any possible solution??

Alright, since we know what the error is you are seeing we're going to try a few things. Alternate DriverGo to Start, Devices and Printers.Click on Add a Printer at the top of the screen.In this window select local printer.When you are able to select a USB port.On the screen where it asks you to select a driver we'll select Hewlett-Packard on the left.On the same screen on the right hand side select the Deskjet 9800 driver.Finish running the Add Printer wizard.Try printing.Clear Temp Files and Disable Start Up ProceduresClick on Start.In the box that says Search Programs and Files type in %temp%Delete everything in this window that appears.Click on Start.In the box that says Search Programs and Files type in msconfig.In this window click on the Services tab.Click on Hide All by Microsoft.Click on Disable AllClick on the Startup tab.Click on Disable All.Click on Ok. When asked to restart your computer.Click on this link to download the latest drivers.When the download completes run the installer.Try printing.Click on Start.In the box that says Search Programs and Files type in msconfig.In this window click on the Services tab.Click on Enable All.Click on the Startup tab.Click on Enable All.Click on Ok.
