New problem with Zen Touch PlayForSure Media Organi

Ok so I started transfering all my music to my Zen last night after upgrading my firmware to play for sure only to discover that ever single album has the tracks number incorrectly.
The first track of every album has no track number and the second song is listed as track and then the rest are numbered wrong from there. It did this to every single album. So I have to go in the track properties and change each one which is VERY time consuming. Is there a fix for this?
I am somewhat annoyed that my hours and hours of music organizing was wasted when I upgraded and I am even more annoyed that the new software that works with the new firmware seems to be crap compared to the original Media Source software.

Problems with Zen Touch, Player doesn't conn

HiI'm working with Microsoft XP. I've just installed the software which came with my creative zen touch., without any problems. When I plug the player into my computer, it seems to connect as the message appears: new device, creative zen touch player. When I open then the Media Source Organizer it starts updating the music library, but after a few seconds, the following error message appears: player isn't connect. Go into Device Manger. Look for Zen Touch under USB devices. If it has an exclamation point next to it, there is something wrong with the drivers. Right click on it and then click on "driver", then update the driver.
I had a similar problem with my computer telling me the player was not connected. It turned out that no drivers were installed.

Problems With Zen Touch Turn

After just recently purchasing a Zen Touch in December 2005, I already have problems with it.
I have never dropped it or hit it. I plugged it in to re-charge one day after using it and when it was done charging I turned it on, used it for 5 minutes then set it down. The next morning I went to turn it on to use it, and it wouldn't turn on. The blue light at the side on the power button was on, but the screen just wouldn't show up. Now the blue light won't turn off. I have read about these problems with Zen Micro freezing up and read about Zen Touch freezing up back in 2004 when it was released. I have phoned the number but couldn't seem to get through. Should I consider taking it in? Or is there an easier way?

Have you tried resetting it's Connect to the mains adapter and press the tiny recessed button on the side of the player. Don't use anything sharp to press it, a bent paper clip is best.

Problems with Zen Touch - Need He

I bought a Zen Touch about 5 months ago and so far its been great! (apart from the occasional freezing) but all in all I'm quite happy with my choice of MP3 player. Until recently. A problem arose when i deleted all my old music off of the Zen and burned in some new music - It has an error message saying "Add Music from Library" - And i press menu button and it freezes and i can't switch it off.... The oddest thing is that my pc shows that all the tunes are on it but for some reason i can't acess it. I tried everything; i reburned software, reburned the tunes back on, deleted them, waited for the Zen to run out of battery... I'm really missing my Zen at the mo and any help would be GREATLY appreciated....thanx

Fast forward problems with Zen Touch (1.01.03 AND PlayForSu

Device: Zen Touch
Firmware: .0.03
Some files cause fast forward problems. Suppose I fast forward to the end of the song. Then I reach the - 00:00.00 marker. HOWEVER, the song goes on and on. It doesn't stop, even if it should (these files aren't corrupt, they work properly on my pc). Problem with Zen Touch & Mediapla

Hi there!
I've recently bought the Zen Touch and I am still quite happy with it. From Windows Mediaplayer I've already put around 0GB of music on it. But since this morning I've got a serious problem. When I start Mediaplayer to play some music it works fine, but when I plug in the Zen Touch, the programm crashes. This means that I can't put on new or delete old music from the Zen Touch.
Does anybody know a solution?

Probably worth trying a disk cleanup from rescue mode.
If that doesn't help, is other software like Creative MediaSource working?

Problem with Zen Touch Playlists Resol

With the help of Jean-Francois, a colleague of my husband's, I figured out the problem I was having with putting playlists on my Zen Touch MP3 player in the order in which I wanted them to play, and it's a simple solution but one I thought I'd pass on to others in case anyone else runs into this problem:
Simply put, when you make playlists, have your MP3 player docked with your computer, and make sure that in the MediaSource Organizer program, the player is highlighted (well, it's a gray bar) when you start making the playlist. Then start with "new playlist," give it a name and enter the songs you want in the order you want as usual. What you're doing is actually building the playlist in the player rather than in the MediaSource Organizer, and the playlist will be created as you want it to be.
If, like me, you then want to transfer the playlist to your computer program, you'll find that it will turn up on the 'puter in alphabetical order (the problem I was having with the Zen Touch player); but it's a simple matter to click'n'drag the songs around until they're in the order you want - and, as far as I can tell, they will stay in that order once you've moved them.
So, problem solved - would have been nice if the User's Guide specifically said "you must dock your Zen Touch player to the computer while making playlists if you want the playlist to be in the proper order on your player," but we figured it out.....

Data files are often a problem with the player. It sounds like you've tried pretty much everything you can short of a disk cleanup from rescue mode.
Failing this you could try formatting the player in case something has become corrupted. Of course make sure to backup the player first.

When I connect my Zen Touch to the PC Vista can't find drivers so it tries to install the MTP-Driver but the classinstallationprogram have declined the installation.

I haven't used my Touch in a while but I went to install everything last night on my XP machine and when I load MediaSource it says there is no player attached. Windows recognizes the player is there and I can see all the songs in Explorer and I even did the firmware upgrade and that worked. I also tried re-installing MediaSource and it knows the player is there during installation (cuz otherwise it would give an error) but once it is installed, the program can't find it.
Does anyone have any ideas?

MediaSource can't show data files. I believe only PlayCenter, Nomad Explorer and Notmad can do this (and also Creative File Manager, which is essentially a non-music version of Nomad Explorer).

Problems with Zen Touch and MediaSou

I have a Zen Touch and I'm trying to figure out how to easily tranfer songs onto a PC. I've downloaded the latest version of MediaSource and drivers, but it doesn't recognize that the player is plugged in. However, the PC and the Nomad Explorer do recognize it. Unforunately, it doesn't seem that you can easily use Explorer to tranfer files onto the PC in an organized manner, nor can you use it to play tracks that are on the Zen. My Zen Touch is Version .0.03, and i'm reluctant to upgrade the firmware because I can't back up the tracks on my PC! Is there anyway around this? Thanks!

Did you download the Jukebox plugin (Creative Zen and NOMAD Jukebox plugin 2.00.20 for Creative MediaSource) that's meant for the Zen Touch player? If not, go to the website and download it.

New Problem with Zen Mi

I finally, got a remote control for my Zen Micro, and I quite enjoy it, even if the clip is too small for it to functionally attach to anything. However, I have started to experience a problem and I want to know if anyone has had or knows how to fix it. Since I have had the remote, when I turn the player off, it continues to run down the battery. I have two batteries and have experienced this problem with both, when before they were fine. Is it a matter of the remote being left connected after I turn the player off? That is the only change I have made since I started experiencing this problem. Tonight, I will unplug the remote and see what happens, but I would still like to hear from others who may have (had) this problem.

My Zen Touch is recognized by my computer, but the Creative player doesn't play the Mp3 files selected (the player reads the file, but speakers don't play nothing!!)...

I'm currently experiences problems with Zen Vision M Series Media Explorer using 32-bit Vista Home Premium. When i'm trying?to burn CD's onto my Zen after?I burn the first one then click to burn another it freezes. Is there any patches i should be downloading to solve this problem??Can anyone help? I have the same problem. It all started yesterday when I was installing the cd drivers in my new computer. I have searched numerous forums and some people had to return the product. Please admins help on this issue as I understand it is very serious.

Random Problems with Zen Micro? Try a diff. USB cable

I know people have mentioned this in other posts, but I thought I would reiterate it here. Many people seem to be complaining that their player is not recognized, or only sometimes recognized, or recognized by Windows (as a USB device) but not by their Creative software, or songs won't transfer, etc. Well, I had some similar problems which ALL went away when I started using a different USB cable - the one that shipped with the Micro just doesn't seem to work consistently.
So, if you are having problems with your player that you can't seem to solve any other way, you may want to try a different USB cable. It worked for me.
Hope this helps - I am (now) loving my new Micro!

I tried a different USB cable also, I thought that it would help, but I still got the same problems. I can almost guarantee that although you think you may have solved your issues, they WILL come back.
I've also been experiencing the "Player Not Connected" problem with my Zen Micro.
I've also had the problem where the Zen Micro just freezes in the "Docked" screen even after it has been disconnected from the PC
I've noticed that these are common problems with Zen Micros with the new firmware (.0.03)
My old Zen Micro with the old, original firmware did NOT have this connectivity problem
Creative should investigate these issues associated with this new firmware, or maybe even making the old firmware available for download to see if this really is the source of all these problems.

Two new problems with the Quicktime Plug-in

I recently discovered two new problems with the current Quicktime Plug-in for Mac OS X.
First, the Quicktime Plug-in is unable to stream Quicktime media in any internet browsers other than Safari.
There is just nothing on the spot where the embedded Quicktime player should be.
Second, the Quicktime Plug-in only shows the message "The operation couldn't be completed. This file is not a movie file (-2048)"
everytime it should work together with the Flip4Mac Plug-in. The thing is, when facing a webpage where a wmv or wma file is
embedded, there only shows that error message on the spot where the player should exist. I first thought that it would be a
problem with Flip4Mac. So I uploaded about this problem on telestream.net, only to hear that the error message above belongs
to the Quicktime Plug-in.
Both of these problems did not happen at all only three weeks ago. The embedded Quicktime player showed up without any problem
in my Firefox and Opera, and wmv or wma files were streamed successfully through the Flip4Mac and Quicktime Plug-ins.
Then, suddenly, after some point, these two problems began to occur, and there is no information on how to solve them on the web.
I obviously tried uninstalling and reinstalling Quicktime. I even completely erased the hard disk of my Macbook, and reinstalled the
whole Mac OS X. But the problems still remained. I borrowed another Macbook from my friend to check whether these problems
occur in other computers, and they did occur in my friend's Macbook as well. So they are definitely not the matter of my own Macbook only.
I think these might be the problems with the new Quicktime Plug-in 7.7.1.
Please check about these problems and solve them on the next version of the Quicktime Plug-in.
