New Q10 „Device PIN Blocked"

Hello,
New Q10  „Device PIN Blocked”
I got a BB Q10 for christmas.
The device can from UK, but my place is Hungary.
BB Q10 is brand new and sim free.
I have install many software version.
How can  resolve the problem?

You will need to contact BlackBerry, two ways:
Through your mobile provider or seller and have the issue escalated up to BlackBerry, for free,
Use the pay per incident support to go directly to BlackBerry.  Purchase a support incident by calling (877) 255-2377 (toll free) or (647) 426-1108. Upon entering the telephone menu, select option 2 for technical support, then wait on the line until you hear the incident-based support introduction. http://us.blackberry.com/support/programs/technical/incident.html#tab-1

In your profile here you have listed:

    Who is 13763?

  • Device Pin blocked Q10

    Hey,
I bought my BB Q10 a few weeks ago from someone who bought it 3 months ago.
The phone worked a week of 2 very well but suddenly i got the message:
    Device pin blocked
    EMEI number
And i am only able to make emergency calls.
I read the same problem a few times at this forum and they say that maybe the phone is reported as stolen or lost but I know for sure that the person i bought the phone from did not do that because i know him and he would never do this.
    How can I solve this??

Hello. Do you know where he got it from? If it was from a carrier, a authorised BlackBerry Store such as the Experience Centers or LifeStyle Stores,  or was it from another retailer?

Hi, i am a first time bb user. I bought my blackberry while on vocation in abu dhabi and then i used it for a couple of months in pakistan without encountering any type of problems. When i came back from my vocation i bought a new sim card and after a couple of days of normal service, when i turned on my phone last night I got a message saying Device Pin Blocked. I cant go past this message and could only recieve calls and cant do anyything else. I contacted my service provider as the messge told me to do so, they dont know wht the problem is. Can anyone guide me on how to fix this problem. I have a Q10, thank you.

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
Please see this "sticky" post, along with the threads to which it links, for helpful information to guide you as you proceed:
    http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/Social-Lounge/How-This-Site-and-Formal-Support-Work/td-p/2540...
Hopefully, this information will be of use to you.
Now, armed with that information, you know that no one here can actually do any research to answer your question. For some reason, your device PIN is blocked and cannot be used on any carrier for BB-specific services. It could be reported as lost or stolen. That report could be valid or it could be in error. In any event, to solve the issue, you need to follow the formal support process as discussed via the link I gave you above.
If I had to guess, I'd say you need to contact the seller to you of the device and convince them to help you...after all, you bought it from them, therefore your device-purchase contract is with them, which means your device-level formal support is determined by that purchase contract...whatever it says is what you must do to obtain formal support for this matter.
Nothing but formal support for this matter will be useful I think.

  • My Q10 got Pin blocked by Blackberry !

    Hello gúys,
    First post here.
Last week my friend got a Q10 from local seller (we are in Vietnam) for around $750. After using it for 3 days, the Q10 got blocked by Blackberry. He got no access to the phone and the screen only showed a message: Device Pin Blocked.
He still can make and take some phone calls, but nothing rather than that. Any one got this issue yet? and any solutions available ? Your information will be highly appreciated. Thank you.

    Hey q3rista,
Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
If the PIN is blocked you will be able to send and receive SMS messages and make phone calls but there will be no data access.
For more information on why it was blocked, please contact your network service provider.
    Cheers.

  • Device Pin Blocked STA100-2

Hello to all. It's my first time to post something here, so please bear with me.
I just received a 2nd hand Z30 from my relatives abroad. It's still almost brand new. Now I was using it for a good six weeks until I updated the software to 10.3. Now, when I use it just for calls and sms there is no problem. But when I connect to the wifi network I always get locked out... like the "DEVICE PIN BLOCKED" message.
I have flashed thephone more than I can even count with my hands and still the problem is there using the reload software option on the Blackberry Link software but still the problem is there.
Mind you guys this is not a stolen phone... as I've said before the phone was working fine until the update. I've read countless forums that the phone is probably as stolen one but I don't see it as a stolen phone... who'd wait for 6 weeks to wait for the phone to be reported as stolen?!
Please guys do you have some way to solve this? I am planning to give it to my wife as a gift but now I don't think this is a good gift for her. I've contacted the source of this phone from India... and they're pretty much beating around the bush with their help... which is close to no help at all.
I do not have the receipt for this phone since this is a hand me down.. just the box and the unit.
    Help...please... anyone?

Hi and Welcome to the Community! Refer:Article ID: KB33469 “Device Pin Blocked. Unable to contact BlackBerry service. Please contact service provider for assistance” displays on the BlackBerry smartphoneWe here cannot know why it is blocked...stolen is just one theory, which cannot be validated by anyone here. Only the entity that placed the block can answer the "why" question as well as remove the block. Since whoever you are presently contacting is not helping you, and if you indeed wish to continue to pursue this, then you might try the fee-based direct-to-BB support model, which is included within everything linked here:http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/Social-Lounge/How-This-Site-and-Formal-Support-Work/td-p/2540549When you find it, do note that the process will start with a fee just to ask the question, regardless of the outcome. You'll have to decide for yourself if it's worth it or not.
    Cheers, and Good Luck!

  • Device Pin Blocked ( Z10 )

    Hi,
I wonder if anyone can help..
I purchased a Z10 and sent it out to my wife, on entering her sim it says 'Device Pin Blocked' and stops her from doing anything.
Item is brand new, unused, direct from a retail store in the uk, but is now with my wife in Singapore.
any suggestions as to what it is or how to get it functional please?

Was the device unlocked for use on a mobile network other than the one from which it was branded?
Where did you purchase the device? You should call them and give them the PIN to ask them to check the PIN in case it had been reported lost or stolen.

  • .bbb files into new Q10

    Hello
I've lost my BB Curve and bought the new Q10. I have my backup file with all my contacts. How can I make Q10 to recognize it ? The file is .bbb type.
    Thanks

On your Manage Connections screen, click on the Services Status.
What is the status of the BlackBerry Internet Service?nevermind, I don't know what i was thinking, you CAN restore a legacy OS backup to a new Q10, using the LINK software on desktop PC.
    Download/install Link.
    Connect the Q10.
Click on the upper right gear icon
click in the left side panel > RESTORE
In the center screen pop-up, click on the LEGACY device backup.
    Proceed.
And a warning, if you had any Address Book Groups addresses in the earlier contacts, it will not restore any of your contacts.
Anyway, you made the disparing comments, etc., if you can't take feedback and responses, don't make the comments. Protect has been available for over four years, and it is there for your data safety. I don't work for RIM/BlackBerr, I'm a user just like you. These forums are user to user as you will see posted at the top of EACH page of the forum.
    Good luck.

  • Waiting for the new Q10 to hit sprint but what will happen to my email?

I am currently waiting for the new Q10 to hit sprint.  but i am hearing that i will no longer be able to use my blackberry.net email with the new blackberry.  i currently use it as my primary email.  1st is it true they will no longer have blackberry email and if so what steps do i need to take in order to make a smooth transistion?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    1. yes, the blackberry.net email is no longer available... and quite honestly, in my opinion, this is a good thing. The blackberry.net email is not available anywhere except ON your BlackBerry, you cannot view it anywhere but on the handheld device itself and no backup otherwise. Get a free gmail, yahoo or Outlook.com account.
    2. Read this:  Article ID: KB33260 BlackBerry (hosted) email address forwarding for BlackBerry 10 OS
So, create and start using the other free email account now. When you finally transition over to BlackBerry10, you will have your solution in place for forwarding the blackberry.net email account.

  • New Q10 refuses to function :(

    Hi all,
I just got my hands on my brand new Q10 but there is this very odd thing which happened: I first put in the battery only (since I couldnt wait to see the new interface) and swithced the phone on, it worked perfectly and I got through the few initial welcome screens.
I then switched it off and took out the battery and after a few hours I put in my SIM card along with the media card and the battery to finally use my Q10 for the first time and it just does not switch on.
I've tried pulling the battery, pressing down on the power button, leaving the phone on charge but its not working; its not even charging even though the charger is working fine with my Bold 9900.
Please help! its a massively upsetting situation and I'd appreciate if anyone can shed some light on this odd issue or if someone's gone through the same problem.

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
Please try this sequence...note that, throughout the entire 4h15m process, your BB must remain directly connected to a known-good wall charger (not PC USB, not a cradle):
With the battery inside, connect your BB to the wall charger
Leave it alone for 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the display does
    Remove the battery
    Wait 15 minutes
    Insert the battery
Wait another 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the display does
This has been known to "kick start" some BBs.
It is also possible that your battery or BB has experienced a problem...to test, this sequence is needed:
Obtain an known good and already fully charged additional battery...use it in your BB and see what happens
Obtain access to a known good and identical BB...use your battery in it and see what happens
The results of this will indicate if it's your BB or your battery that has the problem. Note carefully please that "new" and "know good" are not necessarily the same things. While rare, a "new" battery certainly could be defective. Rather, the simplest (and least costly, btw) method to conduct this test is to find someone with an identical BB who has no issues...trade batteries and see what happens.
Good luck and let us know!

  • Stupid design on Q10 device

I am very disappointed the Q10 devices, How can they designed like that it cannot change the blackberry link ID until wipe the machine . It is a totally stupid design. No wonder they lost the battle.

Of course the device must be wiped to use a new BlackBerryID. Using a BBID enables quite a few apps (BBM, AppWorld, etc) and leaves personal information available on the device and doing so gives security to the users.
Sorry that you disagree. You have a better solution which isn't so "stupid?"
