New Quicktime and Timelapse?

I am missing the feature to create timelapse videos out of image sequences in the latest quicktime pro version.
Was this feature moved to a new software or is it gone?

Are you sure you are using QT Player 7 "Pro" here? The feature is where it has always been. If you are referring to QT Player X.1, then is cannot be keyed for "Pro" use and does not have the "Open Image Sequence..." File menu option.
How can i create my timelapse videos now with apple products?

10.6, new quicktime and blank video
I have a Samsung SC-MX20 digital video camera, in records h.264 format files. Worked fine in quicktime 7 (and still works fine with version 7 after install of 10.6) but when I play the files out of the camera in the new 10.6 quicktime player, the video is blank, have a black screen. Audio works but no picture.
Why would this be?

RickOk, just tried on my imac, 10.6.2 (same as my macbook) and the mp4 videos play fine in the quicktime 10.0 player but don't play on my macbook.

New Quicktime and itunes crashes IE6 constantly
I get a plug in error
Also the "error occurred" window from IE6.
This crashes IE6 everytime my PC tries to use QT 7.
Now just trying to go to Apple.com home page, that commercial video crashes IE6 before I even finish loading the page! This is worse than the white screen with sound I used to get.
I get an itunes.exe error everytime I try to run a preview of an igame off itunes store.
I wanted to load the latest software to get rid of the "white" screen I get whenever i try to watch anything on Apple.com; also I just ordered an ipod.
But I'm beginning to worry about that 400 dollars.little update.

eventually IE 6 forces itself closed.
I tried to uninstall everything and reload but it did no good. -
I just bought a new computer and had files transferred along with itunes to the new computer. I can't get it to work. It doesn't recognize the extensions for itunes. I also tried downloading Quicktime and couldn't get it to download.

Hi, I had updated my iTunes for Windows 6.01 and Quick Time 7.03 to the newest versions. The new software both yield the same issue for me. They will not play videos with sound properly. When I am on Quick Time and click to play a *.mov that I have had way before iTunes or iPod, and any other playable movies in Quick Time, the video starts, there is no sound for a few seconds and then this clicking sound starts. For instance if I had a movie that is abour 20 seconds long, it will never get the synced sound with it. Let's say the first sentence would be Hi, how are you today-----------------it sounds like this: Huh-huh-huh-huh-huh-huh-huh-huh-huh-huh-huh-how-how-how-how-how-how-how-how-how -how-how-how-how-how-how-er-er-er-er-er-er-er-er-er-er-er-er-er-er-er-er-er-er-e r-u-u-u-u-u-uu--u-u-u-u-u-u-u-u-u-u-u-u-u-u-u-u-u-u-u-u-u--u-u-u. I think you get the point. If this is a video with just sound and no spoken word in the video, it also sounds chopy, clicky, and vibrating like that and over the course of 20 seconds plays this out like this, when is should be the correct maybe 3 second part.
This also is the same exact thing that happens in the new iTunes. Exactly. Whether it is downloaded from the iTunes Store or imported in, or even converted with the new convert to iPod option.
The only good thing is when I put the 4 new movies on my iPod that I had converted form *.mov format with the new convert to iPod option, they play just fine on the the iPod which has the software version 1.0 software on it, not the newest firmware. But as I said nothing plays correctly soundwise from videos from the iTunes Software.
I tried uninstalling both new versions and reinstalling them with the same problem. I therefore uninstalled them again and installed iTunes 6.01 back on my computer and thus QuickTime 7.03 and there are no problems at all with either older version of iTunes or QuickTime.
Please advise. It this a diagnosed problem as of yet???Consult this article

Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from the following page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

To install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time? -
I purchase my QuickTime 7 Pro registration key via a friend in USA as it was not available to residents in South Africa. I now have a new iMac and the registration code doesn't want to activate PRO. It works fine on my MacBook Pro. Do I have to buy a new registration code for my newiMac?
i'm in SA and it say Apple Support not available at the moment or something like that.
Just got the new iMac.
Still using MacBook Pro.
Files are on a external drive shared between these 2 mac platforms and I need to be able to
edit in QT 7 Pro on both as well.

Installing New version QuickTime and ITunes

I assume this is a registry problem - I am logged on as administrator and have run a registry cleanup programme. Any suggestions?as installation begins it starts running the QuickTime install and says "A newer version of QuickTime is already installed. Okay. Let's try removing your existing QuickTime by other means than the "Uninstall a program" control panel.
Download and install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility:
Description of the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility
Now launch Windows Installer CleanUp ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"), find any QuickTime entries in the list of programs in CleanUp, select those entries, and click “remove”.
Next, we'll manually remove any leftover QuickTime program files:
(1) Open Local Disk (C:) in Computer or whichever disk programs are installed on.
(2) Open the Program Files folder.
(3) Right-click the QuickTime folder and select Delete and choose Yes when asked to confirm the deletion.
(4) Delete the QuickTime and QuicktimeVR files located in the C:\Windows\system32\ folder. Click Continue if Windows needs confirmation or permission to continue.
(5) Right-click on the Recycle Bin and on the shortcut menu, click Empty Recycle Bin.
(6) Restart your computer.
Now try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly now? -

I haven't seen all that many changes to QT 7 Pro since the introduction of Lion and the default turning off of legacy codecs. Since you use the term "scrub bar," I assume you are referring to the play progress bar and playhead control which can be used for scrubbing content, as well as, the setting of "in" and "out" editing points. As you can see by the image below, the bar and editing pointers are still available and functioning under Mavericks as they have been since the context adaptive change several years/systems ago.
In addition, for those who prefer it, the Jog Shuttle contol is still available in the QT 7 A/V control panel.
As to your original topic question, only Apple knows what its timetable may be for the final phasing out of the QT 7 Player/Pro Player software. And, while it is likely that it will eventually be replaced, I for one, can at least hope that this won't take place until such time as Apple has actually developed viable software with the same editing features and capabilities. However, at this time, QT 7 Pro remains compatible with Apple's choice of a long-term, highly scalable default system video compression format—MPEG-4 AVC. Since the handwriting was effectively "written on the wall" in 2005 when Apple chose to use this format on the iPod Classic 5th Gen mobile device, I began migrating to this format at that time. As a result, I have had little problem in terms of compatibility issues over the years. My only real regret is having to re-compress my files each time Apple increases maximum resolutions, efficiency, or adds options and, with the advent of 4K and Real 3D, expect this trend will continue in the future. But, at least for the present, my files remain dual compatible with both classic QT 7 and new QT X based apps, system features like QL, and all current mobile/remote viewing devices. -
I go to file and export then a window appears with file export, webpage,quicktime and slideshow. On my mini I have shutterfly as an option and don't remember how to do it. What do I do to input this info so that shutterfly becomes an option

Are your photos in iPhoto or are you using some other Photo Software?
The latest version of iPhoto is a lot different than iPhoto 6 for example. In iPhoto 06 you could burn the Originals from your User Picture Folder using Finder, while in iPhoto 11 it is best to burn them from within the iPhoto Application.
Open iPhoto and select the Event(s) that you want to burn onto the CD, then select Share on the menu bar and click Burn in the drop down.

Then again, maybe you got a bad batch of blank CD's and need to try another?

Tried to upgrade to new itunes and now can't load itunes or quicktime
HELP! i tried to upgrade my itunes. This upgrade was totally successful. I then had another problem on my computer so i tried to restore my computer to an earlier timepoint. Since I have done this, I can't load itunes or quicktime. I have tried to uninstall the programs and reinstall them but it still doesn't work. I get an error message on quicktime:
failed to initialize- error-2095
The itunes error message reads :
iTunes has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
Help- I am going insane with this!!!I followed a link and somehow ended up at this post from Mike Hogan3 and combined it with something else I came across. This is what worked for me!
1)Follow his suggestions for removing quicktime and itunes (at the end of this message).
2)Then reinstall iTunes from:
http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
3) Then install QuickTime Standalone Installer from this page (located in the middle right of the page- don't install the one with iTunes!) http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/win.html
Hope this works! It did for me!

This might not be exactly the same problem but lots of people (myself included) had problems after installing iTunes 6.0. I did the following and it finally installed correctly.
I went to

and downloaded the Cleanup utility near the bottom of that page. When it installs on your machine it will scan your computer for every installer every ran on you're machine. Only select iTunes and Qtime and delete those 2 installers. Then I went to add/remove programs and removed iTunes and Qtime. Prior to this Qtime would not unistall but now it did. Funny thing was there was no prompting by windows once I hit "remove/repair" in the "add/remove programs" function.
Then rerun the iTunes 6.0.1 update. That had been failing to install Qtime prior to this but now it installed and I see all my music again and iTunes works. Let me know if this does the trick, I hope so. -

Hi. I'm new to MAC, Quicktime and I want to start working with video for fun. I have a set of timelapse pics that I've already downloaded to iPhoto. There are around 100 pics. These pics are in an event that has other pics. I want very much to make a video of this sequence of pics.
I learned that there's an "import sequence" command in QTime.
I didn't find a way to import only the pics I want from the event. The best thing would be to create a new album in iPhoto and then use the import sequence command? Or should I export the pics from iPhoto to a folder in MAC and so on?
Since I have a feeling I'll start working with a large volume of files, I'd like to know what's the smartest way to manage them for making videos, maybe editing later, deleting and so on.

Export the photos you want to use at the target dimensions desired to a separate folder. Then use the "Open Image Sequence" option to select the first image in your sequence and select an appropriate playback frame rate at which to load the entire sequence to the QT 7 Pro player. -
Ok, so after purchasing a new computer, with windows 7 pro, 64 bit, I tried downloading the newest iTunes, which at the time was 10.2.1 (i believe). After installation, everything seemed to work, except that iTunes was unable to securely connect to the internet, use home sharing, or validate my computer.
As troubleshooting, I first ran msconfig, and then turned OFF all programs that boot at start up EXCEPT itunes and quicktime. After a restart, i opened itunes again, and got the same result. That led me to believe that iTunes was NOT being blocked by another program on my machine. I am currently running itunes 10.7 successfully on a Windows 7 32 machine at work. Anyhow, for grins, I tried to install version 9 on the new computer, and it installed perfectly, and immediately connected to the itunes store, leading me to believe that there is nothing wrong with my software configuration (not sure if this is a safe assumption or not). I then tried to let iTunes update itself using the automated update function. It tried to update itself to the most current version, then 10.6. Again, iTunes was unable to connect to the iTunes store. I HAVE tried disabling the anti-virus software (AVG), but that made no difference.
I have since gone back and reinstalled iTunes 9. Here's the catch though. When I reinstalled using version 9, I had to redo all my library files. I'm about 1/2 way through my CD's, and now have a substantial library file going. The last time I let iTunes update itself to 10.6, once I realized that it was not going to connect to the store, I uninstalled iTunes, and reinstalled ver. 9. However, when I did this, it told me it could no longer open the library file, because it was a newer .itl or .xml (i believe it was one of those two extensions) library file. At that point, I basically started everything over again, using version 9, and have been importing CD's like a madman at night.
Here are my questions:
1) Is there a way to make a copy of the files that store my library info, so that if my upgrade to ver 10 IS NOT SUCCESSFUL, I can restore ver 9, but still have all of the album art work, playlists (when I import music, I create a playlist with the artists' name, and store things that way), etc. in tact?
2) What else can I try (firewall settings, internet options, etc.) to try and get version to to successfully install? I would really like to get all the benfits of the newer versions.
3) When I tried to get apple tech support before, they wanted me to pay a ridiculous 69$ fee for phone support. I just bought an iphone 5....this should entitle me to a fresh 90 days of phone support, right? The reason I ask here is that I could hardly understand the "tech" that answered the phone when I called for tech support last time, and to be honest, it really ****** me off that they wanted to try and milk me for another 69 bucks....I've purchased every iPhone since the 3Gs came out (pre-ordered at that), and have nearly gone broke purchasing music from their iTunes store....heck, maybe they're doing me me a favor not letting me into the store, huh?

I bought a new Ipod (5th generation). I am trying to sync it to my itunes. I tunes does not recognize my new ipod. It is registered. I was only able to download purchases I made from my old ipod. I cannot download my itunes library or any of the games I have purchased. I tried using the troubleshooting guide to no avail. The only thing I did not do was to uninstall and reinstall itunes. I did update it to the latest version. How can I get itunes to recognize my new ipod?
