New release list

what happened to the new release list in iBooks. I would like to see all the new releases since I last looked but it seems to be gone!!!

No. All it does is give you four pages of six new releases each. That's all.
Like other posters I used to find most of my new music through the 'Just added' lists. Now there seems to be no way of finding what's been added since the last time I looked, making the store much less useful than it was for me (almost useless in fact). Just like the interface on iTunes 7 the new store seems as if it's taken a step backwards. Apart from the loss of 'Just Added' there are now far too many options on the front page which makes it much more confusing to use. It's almost as if they turned over the new styling to someone just out of art school or something.

New release list working now and everything is blazing fast for now too..

I read this morning on the Mac forum that a lot of customers had no access to anything this morning. But now this afternoon, everything not only works (such as the new release list for the first time in 9 days), but it is as fast as it has been since before the version 7 launch from my observations. Following the observable chain of events today, I would speculate that perhaps the music store techs came in this morning, took the system down for repairs, and then brought it back up after fixing a lot of the problems that we have been having lately. Just a guess though.

New Release list/Music - Is there a way to alphabetize the list?

Until this month, the list of new releases (text columns) were always sorted by the store in an alphabetical order format. For some reason, the list is no longer sorted this way or any other particular way. Have any of you customers found a way to sort the comprehensive list in an effort to return it to an alphabetical array? Unfortunately, it does not seem manually possible to do this from my observations so far.

Currently, there's no option to alphabetize Faces, other than dragging them around manually.
Photos, in general, has few options for sorting. I hope that changes soon...

A "real" new releases list?

I want to be able to find new releases and it is impossible.
Yes you have new releases on your menus but they don't show up any new material. Well maybe one or two a week but that's all. There is loads of music being released every week that is impossible to find on your store.
I don't care what you think is "featured", or what is on big labels. What is the point of adding music to your store then not telling anybody it is there? It is like having a record shop with a hidden door to the room where most of the music you are selling that nobody is going to find.
I want to be able to ideally make a list of:
- New pop, rock, indie, alternative, folk or whatever music. Just not dance.
- New meaning new. Out this week. Not newly added to iTunes but actually newly released.
Finding a definitive list of new releases is being made harder and harder by yourselves, who are continually not listing what is out.

Where are MY ALERTS and weekly lists of new releases

I regret downloading Itunes 9. I know how difficult it is to undo it. There are many things I don't like, but particularly I can't seem to access my alerts nor to be able to browse the weekly lists of new releases. Judging by all the complaints I hope Apple comes out with a new release SOON.

The weekly new releases list is back; click on the Music tab at the top of any iTunes Store page and then look under the Quick Links at the right of the page for the Just Added link.

What happened to the new releases alphabetical list?

What happened to the new releases alphabetical list? You used to get a list sorted by date when you click ALL in new releases. Now, they only list "featured" new releases with pictures of the artwork. Is there still a way to see the alphabetical list by release date.

yes - i have the latest version; and the change to their new releases occured over a month ago. A couple weeks ago, the old format returned briefly.
Does anyone from Itunes review the forum? I would buy a lot more tracks if i was able to see all that are available.

Wish List for new release

this would be my wishlist for a new release, maybe you want to add more.
- objectnames longer then 30 characters
- alter table command to set the column position in a table for an existing or new column
- check constraint ability to check against values from another table
- different types of foreign keys (same functionality) to make a difference between the relationship of two tables but the same entity and a relationship between two tables but different entities.
- express database should have the same version as the latest productive database version

about the the princples of data sets, you have the wrong point of view, it is not about the relational theory, but about us humans. for example computers dont need any programm languages besides their 0/1 coding, but we humans do. when you create a table, you dont mix the columns in a random order, you bring columns together like Addresseline1 and Addressline2. right now you arrange the order of the columns when you create a table, but dont have an alter table command (besides some scripts), after we added a new column or want to change the order. but I guess you will say the handling of humans with computer systems is pointless.Great, if you want to see something in a particular order, create yourself a view for "human readability". Don't force human interaction onto the database.
when I get performace issues with the check constraint reading values out of a different table, it is up to me if I want it or not, but would be very nice to have the option.When you force the database to get stuck in an endless dependency loop, gawd help your DBA.
two tables can be one entity, that is cause the entity has the same type of attribute more the one time, 1:n. For example a customer can have more then one telephone number and you create two tables to handle that. but it is still one entity. on the other hand you have relationships between two entities, but we use the same foreign key construct for it. I would like to have something with the same functionality, but I can say this is a relationship between two entities and this is a relatinship of the same enitity.Erm... create a view.
oracle is a big company, why they are not able to keep the expresse version updated like other companies do.They're probably too busy fending off ridiculous requests for nonsensical new features.

You went to the top of the itunes screen and clicked "Music", then looked on the right side under "Music Quick Links", then looked for "Just Added"?

I was running KeyPassFox with Firefox 8.0.1, but the plugin does not work in the new release (9) . Is there a way to restore my previous version with all of my bookmarks intact? I do not mind if I have to restore the plugins myself.

The plugin shows on the list as enabled and functioning, yet the tool does not show on the toolbar. It would appear that I need to restore the previous version of Firefox and wait until a newer release of the plugin is available before upgrading the browser.

I copied the iTunes file from the external drive and it's in both places. I thought all I would need is the iTunes program (which I downloaded to new computer) and my iTunes library file. There must be something else that's missing. My iTunes library looks the same on the new computer as it does when I open it on the external drive. If I click on an iTunes library song from my new computer, it will only play if I have the external drive plugged in.
My back-up drive is a mess. I have multiple copies of music, video, photo, and document files and I don't know how that happened. ={ Obviously, I don't know how to back up stuff properly and there are back-up files extending over a 6- to 8-year period. I think all I did was just drag and drop the main folders from the back-up drive to the same main folders on the C: drive. Also (and I'm kind of fuzzy on this) Windows used to automatically save music files in a folder within my document files (which makes no sense to me). As my Jewish friends would say, "Oy Vey!"

HT1923 ITunes new release does not print a playlist to my printer correctly. It will print the header, but all the songs are printed on top of each other. I didn't have this problem until I downloaded new version of ITunes. Does anyone else have this p

There is another discussion of this problem under "can't print cd jewel case inserts"--about 20 people on that page have the same problem.--I have a "band-aid" fix for anyone is in a hurry. When you go to print, choose the option "large playlist" (I think it is the last option). You can then print at least the songs that are on the playlist. Then, you can print a mosaic copy to get the album art work. Then you get out the scotch tape & tape them together! This is UNACCEPTABLE but it will do in a pinch. Someone on the other page suggests we all write in "itunes" feedback & complain.

Why is iTunes always a week behind in new releases.
The past couple of weeks/months whenever I click on for the full list of new
releases on tuesday its a week behind .
Right now its showing march 27, 2007.
Tomorrow it probably will show april 3, 2007.

The iTunes Store isn't a week behind in new releases themselves, it's just a week (or more) behind in the music New to iTunes summary listing. I've been told by the Apple Store that it's a problem with the utility that automatically generates that list and that they're aware of it, but clearly it's not fixed yet.

11g Upgrade - removal and new parameter list queries

Hi All,
We are planning to upgrade the 10.2.0.4 E Business suite (11.5.10.2. ) database to 11.2.0.1.
We have few removal and new parameter list in 11g database based on the note 216205.1
We will be having the compatible mode as 10.2.0 before and after the upgrade until the system gets stable. So until we change the compatible to 11.2.0, do we need to have the parameters in the removal list or we can remove that even if we have the compatible as 10.2.0 during the upgrade.
There are also two new parameters optimizerautostats_job=false and sec_case_sensitive_logon = FALSE.
Please let us know if we can have these new /removal parameter changes when we have the compatible as 10.2.0 in 11g database.

Is the new release cycle really making Firefox faster?

The new release cycle of Firefox may help in increasing the overall speed and stability of Firefox and shorten the time, we have to wait for new features. However, at the moment this causes a lack in add-on support. If we gain speed and new features, but therefore abandon old features, that made us faster not by performance, but through a different style of using Firefox, then what have we won?
For example, with FF 5.0 - 7.0 the "Site Launcher" is not working anymore. Maybe Firefox is now loading pages faster, but I am at least twice as slow in navigating, because "Site Launcher" was - together with "All-in-one Gestures" - my most used Add-On.

In case you haven't noticed there is a new version of the Java Enterprise System that was posted to the Sun Download site on Friday September 1, 2007. The new release is Java ES 5 Update 1.
Here are the versions of the individual products that are in Java ES 5 Update 1:

One, is the inclusion of the Sun Java System Application Server 9.1. It is not included in the main Java ES installer, but can be downloaded separately. New Release: Java ES 5 Update 1 - **Correction**

In my entry on Sep 5, 2007 7:34 AM with the topic of "New Release: Java ES 5 Update 1", I incorrectly stated that Sun Application Server 9.1 was certified with Java ES 5 Update 1. It is not. The fully certified and supported web containers are listed in the Java ES 5 Update 1 Release Notes. For now, it is not supported by Java ES 5 Update 1 component products, but future releases of Sun middleware products will, so hang tight. I do apologize for any inconvenience. The official documentation at docs.sun.com should always be considered the source for what is supported and what is not.
