New requirement at sales order level

Hi Experts,
There is a scenario where Sales has a new product to sell that they call
SignDirector which is Software.
At the start of this new product, there will be only part number but it should expand to other part numbers.  They want to keep the inventory at zero all the time.  The request from them is "Can notifications be sent when an order is
placed on a specific P/N that is currently out of stock which will trigger Sales to complete an open order for the Software".
How can we proceed for the same.

Manish, you might want to proceed by reading documentation and doing some research yourself. Since you're new in the forum, I'll give you some pointers, but in general you'll get better response on SDN if you at least try doing something yourself and then ask more specific questions. E.g. "I tried ABC but it didn't work because XYZ" would get more and better quality replies than "How do I do the same".
My guess is that no inventory requirement is because it's a software. Most likely it will be just distributed electronically, hence the notification requirement. The parts that "expand to other parts" is a classic BOM scenario or could also be cross-selling - read the documentation on that.
The notification may be achieved by creating a new output type, which would send an email notification if certain material # is present in the order (output requirement). Output with email has been discussed many times in the forum, please use Search.

    I am working in retail project and we have Cash sales, Rush order, Standard order scenario. All articles are created as Trading articles HAWA.
    When we create a sales order with cash sales document type, Rush order the availability check happens at sales order level itself but if I use the OR document type the availability check happens at delivery document level not at sales order level
    I want the availability check to be happening at sales order level so I have marked the availability in VOV6 for schedule category CP and CV.
    I donu2019t have the stock for the material X and we have not created any purchase order for X material but system is giving the confirmed delivery date with OR document type. So I have marked the check without RTL in OVZ9. After this system shows the confirm delivery qty is 0. 
    I think if the availability check happens without replenishment lead time then only I can get the output as per my requirement
    Can anyone guide me is it the right way to address this scenario

    Cash sales --> The detail configuration that has to be made for Cash sales are as follows:
    1.  Create a new order type ZBV by Copying the BV Standard Order and in the functionality of ZBV activate immediate delivery.
    2.  Create a new category ZBVN by copying item category BVN and check whether credit active unchecked or not in ZBVN.
    3.  Make all the neccessay setting for the item category determination for cash sale for which u configured.
    After the delivery document is created in the background, billing document is generated wrt Order.
    Rush order -
    >
    1.  Create a new order type ZRO by Copying the RO Standard Order and in the functionality of ZBV activate immediate delivery.
    2.  Create a new category ZTAN by copying item category TAN and check whether credit active unchecked or not in ZTAN.
    3.  Make all the neccessay setting for the item category determination for Rush order which u configured.
    Please remember here the goods has to be picked and then PGI has to be posted. Then only you can bill the Order.

  • Credit check at sales order level?

    Dear experts
    I want to set credit check at sale order level with following conditions
    consider open deliveries for credit exposure
    consider billing documents for creadit exposure
    do not consider any open orders
    Also if oldest items are open for more than 7days then block the sale order creation
    e.g suppose customer is having credit limit Rs.100000/- and open deliveries against this customer is having the value Rs.50000/- i.e. credit exposure is Rs.50000/-. In this case system should block the new sale order created of value more than Rs.50000/-
    plz suggest the configuration steps

    For i am already having the same setting but still my scenario is not working. i will explain my scenario again
    suppose customer is having credit limit Rs.100000/- and open deliveries against this customer is having the value Rs.50000/- i.e. credit exposure is Rs.50000/-.
    In this case system should block the new sale order created of value more than Rs.50000/-
    But with the said settings purpose is not getting solved.
    my settings are;
    In OVA8 ;
    Update: 000015
    Static check: TICK
    Status: TICK
    open deliveries: TICK

  • SD Stock checkint at Sale order level

    Dear Gurus
    I would like to know that, instead of delivery stage i would like to give control at the time of material entry in sale order level. Whenever user enters a material code system should not allow unless stock is there.

    Are you asking that in order entry if a material is not available, then the system should not allow to even enter the material?
    May I know the reason for that?
    Through customizing it is possible. But consider this scenario which you will surely come across in that case. Consider that you will code in such a way that material will have a block if stock is not available. Consider that on 13th Oct you will carry out stock inventory in your plant & find that 100 quantity is available. So you will remove the material block & allow order entry for that material. Consider that you have an order with quantity 150 logged in.  Since there is no block on the material, user will be allowed to enter the material.  Customer requires 150 but you have just 100. That means there is no sufficient stock available to fulfill your order. This will contradict your requirement. Right?
    Unless the material is entered, system will not be able to carry availability check. Coz only then you will come to know what quantity the customer requires. Only then you will be able to confirm when the item will be available.
    So what I feel is that your requirement may be feasible through customized user exists but it will surely have issues like above.

    Hope this will help you,
    User exits in the screens
    Additional header data is on screen SAPMV45A 0309, additional item data on screen SAPMV45A 0459. These screens contain the Include screens SAPMV45A 8309 or SAPMV45A 8459 as user exits.
    Fields which are also to be included in the sales document for a specific installation should be included on the Include screens for maintaining. If an application-specific check module is needed for the fields, this can be included in the Include MV45AIZZ. The module is called up in the processing logic of the Include screens.
    For field transports, you do not have to make changes or adjustments.
    Example
    A new field, VBAK-ZZKUN, should be included in table VBAK.
    If the check is defined via the Dictionary (fixed values or check table) the field must be included with the fullscreen editor in the Include screen SAPMV45A 8309. In this case, no change has to be made to the processing logic.

    while i am executing the sales cycle creten Cash discount conditions are calculating in the Invoice directly not in sales order.
    can you please let us know your views oin what basis iot calculating directly in the invoice, since payment terms is there in both sales order and invoice level. but discount is only appearing at invoice level, not in the sale order level..
    where these setting incurred in this process. i have verifies all the routies, there is no such kind of logic to calculate in a particular palce.
    treat this one as high priority and let me know.

    Please check your Pricing Procedure, whetehr against your Cash Discount Condition Type, Requirement 24 or 23 is maintained? If it is maintained remove these requirements and save. Then try to run the transaction.

    1. Copare the Routes which are Automatically determined and which are not automatically determined
    2. Have you mainted this route to be RELEVANT FOR TRANSPORTATION without this check route will not get picked up.
    SPRO > Logistic General > Shipping > Basic Shipping Function > Routes > Define Routes > Define Routes and stages > Select the Route and check for it's settings > CHECK MARK Relevant for Transport. Without this check the route will not get picked up as of my understanding.

    Hi,
    For enabling the packing at sales order level, you need to first setup the basic packing configurations which are similar for packing at delivery level.
    For automatic packing proposal, you need to have Packing instructions maintained through Txn -> POP1.
    Then you need to maintain the master data for the determination of Packing instructions Txn -> POF1.
    Once these settings are maintained, while creating sales order Goto -> Extras -> Packing Proposal.
    System will give the default packing proposal based on packing instruction determined, which can be further used for automatic packing through Automatic packing button at header.
    I hope this information will help you.

    I am not sure if i got your requirement correctly.
    Nevertheless if you are asking where do you maintain Handling Type HT in sales order:
    Choose the line items double click (goto details of line items)
    Go to Excise Duty tab and put the required Handling type.
    If you want to know where do we configure Handling types.
    Goto
    SPRO->Industry Solution Oil&Gas(downstream)->TDP(Tariffs, Duties & Permits)->Global Settings->Parameter Definition->Set Handling Type.
    If you want to know the related tables for Handling type they are
    OIH07, OIH27

  • SPL block when changing the Address manually at Sales order level

    Hello all,  I hope every one doing well
    I am facing one problem in SAP system, when I am chanigng the Partner address at sales order level , system giving the SPL block , without screening even though the customer is a good customer.
    I checked in Img: GTS -> SAP Compliance Management->"Sanctioned Party List Screening" Service->Control Settings for "Sanctioned Party List Screening" Service->Sanctioned Party List Screening Strategy for Customs Docs tested with  as " Status check of unchanged Addresses( Partner Address) and New check of changed Addresses.
    I didn't find any difference. Sales order getting block for the above cases when changing the Address at Sales/Create document level.
    Please let me know  how to resolve it.
    Is it related to configuration  if yes how  ? pr
    do we  have any OSS Notes to Rescreen the Sales orders with compliace even though changing the Address at sales order level ( ship to party address changes like Name, city, email id, of fax )?
    or
    do we need to do the Enhancement for Rescreening when changing the ship to party adress (changes like Name, city, email id, of fax )
    manually at sales order level ?

    1. Whether your Embargo service is activated for the Country of Plant from which your order is getting shipped. -- Yes I have activated the Country under Embargo list.
    2. Whether the partner function for which you changing the county detail has been added in into the Partner group which is assigned to Embargo services.( GTS)-- Assinged the Sold to Party ( AG) for PGEMB2- Partner group
    3. Whether the country which u putting as Embargo has been maintianed under Embargo country list,

    What I am doing exactly is , I am creating sales order with US customer master , but I am chaning the Country Key as Embargo country ( Ex: CU, SY, IR) at VA01 , or VA02 level Sales order header Partner tab level for Sold to party address ( changing only country key as embargo country) , not to ship to party  ( ship to party still US country key only), at that time system not blocking the sales order as embargo.
    please let me know if any once come across this sistuation..

  • Assign batches at the sales order level

    Client wants to assign batches at the sales order level and keep ttack of the batch quantity at the same level.
    (the reason for the requirement is that somtimes they may want to change the batch number where th stock is picked)

    Hi,
    You want to assign the batch at sales order level is possible but you have to choose
    the batch using CTRL + TAB in QTY Field before add the document.
    Once you not choose batch system allow to add the sales order without allocate batch.

    1)I want to make Confirm quantity to zero in the sales order level
    2)The block confirmation is set to VBEP-BMENG to "0" for each item where VBEP-LIFSP =Z1
    Is ther any related USEREXIT in the sales order  to make confirm quantity to ZERO

    may be you can try putting some logic is MV45AFZZ in USEREXIT_MOVE_FIELD_TO_VBEP
    or in the exitSDTRM001 - Reschedule schedule lines without a new ATP check.

    I would like to know the configuration settings for reserving the materials @ sales order level.
    if there is stock 100 pieces of material X , customer A wanted reserve 50 pieces of X , so when sales order is created remaining 50 only are shown as available stock & and the reserved 50 pieces by Customer A should not be confirmed or allotted to any other customer by the system

    When you create the material in MM01, in MRP 3 screen in strategy group you select "40 - planning with final assembly." Now when you create the sales order for customer 'A' then 50 will be allotted for that and remaining will be free.
    <b>For remaining 50 pieces:</b>
    In IMG-Sales & distribution-basic functions-availability check & transfer of requirements. Here with the help of the PP and MM consultant you can make the remaining settings.

  • Storage Location at Sales Order level

    Hi Experts,
    I have an issue here. In our system, the storage location is determined at sales order level and for that a code is written in the exit MV45AFZZ.
    In the normal sales order, the storage location is determined as expected but when the return sales order is created taking the reference from the original sales order, for one type of material the storage location in the return sales order is same as the reference sales order (as required) but for one other type of material the storage location in the sales order is not same as in the reference sales order but some other storage location.
    Could you pls help in finding the possible reasons for the same.

    so can that have some impact
    As you may be aware through standard settings, storage location in sale order will not be fetched automatically and as you said above, with an exit, it is fetched into sale order.  Hence, you need study that exit again as to why it is triggering a different plant when a return order is created.
