New Requirement Price List

Dear Sap gurus,
I posted yesterday the same queries, but i c the comment from sap gurus that my requirement is not very clear.
My Requirement is to create a new pricing list type ( Field: PLTYP) FOR A particular sales organisation.
Pls let me know the config steps how to create and assign it.
Pls advice me on this

Dear Friend,
Price LIst Type 9Category) can be defined at:
IMG - Sales and Distribution - Basic Functions - Pricing - Maintain Price-Relevant Master Data Fields - Define price list categories for customers.
Here you can define Price List Categories (Types).
These Proce LIsts Types can be selected at Sales Order - Item Details - Sales B Tab - Price LIst field under Pricing & Statistics Tab.
Now this Proce LIst type is not defined for any particular Sales Organisation. But what you can do is while maintaining Condition Records, have a selection option of Sales Organisation.
I mean in the access sequence of Price condition record Sales Organisation in Condition Table.
Thus the Condition Record for a particular Price LIst would be valid for a particular Sales Organisation only.

Error in adding List Line in Price Lists setup form

Hi Gurus,
users are facing below error message while they try to add new items in the list lines on the "Price List Setup" Screen.
Navigation - Order Management Super User --> Pricing --> Price Lists --> Price List Setup. Query the required price list. go to the list lines and add new line. While saving the new line below error message encountered.

N:B:- when we try to do the same thing in our test instance which is last refreshed from production 2 weeks ago, we are able to add new line and save without the error message. seems like some data corruption has occured in production recently. please help on how to diagnostic the corruption. its quite critical issue now from bussiness point of view.

Sort order of Price Lists

My customer has recently upgraded from 2007A PL 42 to 8.81 PL 7. Before upgrade all pricelists are
displayed in item code sort order. After upgrade, the sort order seems almost random.
Customer maintains 175 different pricelists (mainly supplier pricelists) Customer needs to look up an
item price from a specific price list - goes to Inventory / Price lists / Price Lists, selects the required
price list and double clicks on the row number which then displays itemcodes, item descriptions, base
price and unit price.
Before upgrade, the customer could immediately start typing the item code and quickly get the required
price. Now they must resort the displayed list by item code first, then start typing the item code.
Process that used to be quick now takes more time. Customer can't understand why something that
was working well for them has been changed to make life difficult
At first I thought that the lists were now being sorted by description but the order changes even when
double clicking at the top of the description column.
Customer would like an option as to how they want the list displayed or for it to go back to how it was.
Customer's sales reps need to find prices quickly - can't understand why the sort order has changed

The podcasts will duplicate themselves on your device. I turned off podcast syncing on my devices. But the weird thing is that when I sync, podcasts then copy themselves to my iTunes library. Either sync or don't, but don't copy to both.

Using DTW to Change BP Price List

Hello All --
I have been trying to use DTW to create a new BP Price List. I've done it before and should be straight forward but for some reason I am getting an error message.
The message says that this entry already exists in the following tables...which is confusing to me b/c the entry should exist...I am just trying to update it. I can e-mail images, I think this will help present a clearer picture of what I mean.

I tested and finally got the key:
DTW table you see RecordKey, LineNum,...
The LineNum is not the "LineNum" which we see in the Price Lists screen. You need to re-cap the number from '0', '1', '2',... (and actually it's the sequence of creating price lists i think.)
(p.s. The another good way to catch the right number is: do a DTW under testing database, then you can review which price list got changed, and figure out the right LineNum after one or several testing !!)

1) 2 Price lists for the same site with each price list having a different / same currency.
2) Creating a new site and having a new price list in that site. in this way I will have two sites. One for usa and another for canada.

Set price list for new invoice

When creating a new invoice for a customer, Is there a way to specify which price list to get the prices from either for the invoice or for the invoice line? I want to have the option to use a price list that is different from the customers default.

If you are using GUI, you may click the Form Settings, then you can change the price list. Then you can start to enter the items.....

Creating New Price List

Hello -
I am trying to create a new price list. I exported an existing one, modified in excel and am now using DTW to import back in. However, when I do this, it does not go past the first Item b/c I get an error msg saying that the Item already exists.
When I use DTW I am just updating a record, not creating a new one so, of course, the Item should exist. I am just creating a new price list. Price List #5, Line Number 4. Advise on why this is not working?

Pls check the LineNum and PRiceList Numbers Are Correct Also Give the RecordKey Properly,
If you still have problem try to update using the SBO Import /Export option, It is very easy to upload the Data in Prielist

Assuming that your order is just booked and not part-shipped etc., the simplest method is to use the mass change feature from the classic Order Organizer to do this as I don't think changing at Order Header level will trigger a cascaded change to the lines (not in 11.5 anyway, you don't mention what release you're on).
Select the order lines you want to change (presumably all) and assign the new price list name + Calculate Price flag = 'Yes' + new pricing date if appropriate. After this has completed, it's a good idea to change at header level too otherwise any new lines added to your order will still default to the older price list.
Finally, if you've already acknowledged the order, you might also want to re-acknowledge with the price change.

New price list not in action

Hi team,
I have created a new price list and linked that in BP master date for one BP, when I am doing sales order or AR invoice system still not picking the new price list price which I have linked to this BP. what is the reason? where I have to link this new price list?
If I want all BPs to be affected by this new price list for AR invoice where I have to fix this?

Check this:
Item prices in sales and purchasing documents are automatically taken from the price list selected in this field. Therefore, when you link a certain price list to a business partner, make sure that the item prices are defined in this price list. Otherwise, no price is displayed for the item in documents related to the business partner.

Ideas for a Price Lists

We are about to start implementing another site and they have some specific price schedules we are trying to meet the requirements for. I thought I would get some ideas from the group on the Price Structure to handle it.
There are three Customer Groups, A, B , an C.
Each item has a SRP associated with each group that can vary between items from which the discounts are applied against. ( A=25, B=50, C=75).
Each Item also has Volume Discounts ( the qty breaks can vary between Customer groups as well ) ( Item A in Group A breaks at 1-49 @ 65% * SRP, but for Group B breaks at 1-75 @ 70% * SRP; etc )
Individual Items will be maintained in Item Groups. These items will have the same breaks and discounts.
Initially I can see how to set all this up but they also add 1 to 2 Items per week. which means trying to associate the new items with the correct customer group, volume breaks and discounts would be a nightmare.
How can this scenario be made more manageable so that new items can be put in with ease?
Would the Configurator tool be useful?

Discount in price list

Hi,
My price list varies from customer to customer and Item to item like wise the discount and also I have assigned the respective price list to the respective customer. Whenever i raise a sale order if the discount percentage exceeds the discount mentioned in the price list the document should go for approval to manager.
Can some one help me.

You can set discount % in the following way.
Tick mark activate approval template in general settings
BP tab,also tick mark display Inbox when new message arrives.
1.Create a approval stage,enter stage name,description,
no of approval required-1(manager),User-manager,select
department.
2.Create a approval template name,discription,set it is as
active,enter the user code(any user)-orginator,Documents-
Tick sales order,press tab select required approval stage,
You should tick discount % and set a discount value
in approval template
"when the following applies" to trigger approval procedure.

Dynamic Price List

How can I create price list which dynamically changes the selling price based on the purchase price of the batch selected during Sales Order or AR Invoice?
My requirement is that the selling price is calculated based on the purchase price of each batch instead of Last Purchase Price or Purchase Price List.

Hi Ram,
Try to create a pricelist for the Purchase Price then assign the new pricelist as the base pricelist in the pricelist menu. Hope this helps.

I have created the Addon for SAP BO and i had acheived the requirement... here i have one more doubt while doing this... i had listed out the number of companies availble in the SAP BO by using getcompanylist DI API....
the problem is if i give the user id and password of SA.. its retriving me the values... if not its returning zero record count.. what to do for this.... i cant force the client to give user id and password of SA while installing the add on... i am in a deeper trouble for that... could u please give me some valid suggestion so that i can implement it in the add on...
next Q: is there any way to put the values inthe system matrix which is non editable...
this Q is not that much priority since i had achieved the requirement other way round by having user defined matrix ... but if i get the way for this it will help my add on performance much better...

Adding Price List lines in exising Price List

I have a requirement to create some price list, which i am doing it through PROCESS PRICE LIST API. Now as per our next phase, i need to insert new lines in that same price list.
Is there any API throught which i can achieve this.

Same API Aryan - you can do update, insert and delete with it: look at some of the worked examples in the api guide, on MOS and in the scripts pre-loaded in $QP_TOP.
