New Retina display iPod Touch.....

I think it may be time to upgrade from my 1st gen Touch (which has performed amazingly over the last 3 years!!!) but I noticed there is no mention of "still" photography in the specs, only HD video recording/ editing... am I missing something or does this device not offer a still camera mode?

It's rumored that is a 2 megapixel camera, on several occasions before apple made their Sep. 1 music event(introducing new iPod models). We won't know just yet until the units of the iPod touch doesn't begin shipping into the stores. So that is when as usual the company Ifixit takes it apart and tells all the little details that apple didn't say at the event of the internal components of the new iPod touch 4th generation.
I believe it to be something like 3 megapixel or something.... By let's wait and see

Thanks for the question. Based on the information you have provided, it sounds like your device is not detected in iTunes for Windows. The following resource may help resolve this issue:

Apple has not yet made any announcement with regards to the 5G iPod Touch. It is against the erms of use of this forum to speculate on such things. Google if you want to see what others are speculating.

I am going to buy myself a MacBook Pro in the near future and was wondering if the new Retina Display model would be worth the extra cash. I will mostly be doing photo/video/music editing.

if you're not in a big rush - why not hold off until Adobe and Microsoft releases an update to support the Retina Screen.
Don't get me wrong - the Macbook Retina is a good and videos look great - but when it comes to Photoshop, it's a little blurry and the fonts in Excel and Word is pretty blurry too.....I own one....
In any event, if it's something you can live with - then by all means - go for it.....
Otherwise - get the non Retina Macbook Pro - it's cheaper, and it's user upgradeable in both RAM and Hard Drive.

I thought I had made too many attempts, but I've reset it and it still won't let me on. I have no idea what the password is or why it is now asking for one. Help!!

Look at the manual for the router. The password is on the router. Then change the password in the router to something other than the default one and use that password when the iPod asks for it (it will only ask once, once it has the password/router combo in its memory, it will remember it)

Next would be to place the iPod in recovery mode and then restore via iTunes. If iTunes does not see the iPod then the iPod is not usable. For recovery mode:

I know i can backup to the cloud over wifi but how can i do things like delete photo albums instead of having to manually delete pictures one by one on the Ipad. Is there any way also to add my pictures to the ipad other than through email. i am assuming that i can't just install itunes on the laptop and sync to that. I have been told that i always have to sync to my original synced home computer for that.

How do I transfer files from mac with snow leopard to a new retina display mac

What is the easiest way to transfer files from my old mac(2008) snow leopard to my new retina display mac book pro?

Easiest? Well there is some sort of wireless transfer thing, but I hear it takes FOREVER like several days and it's glitchy.
The Retina doesn't have a Firewire port I believe, so Target Disk Mode is out, unless you have a adapter and I don't know how well that will work out. Cost another $30 for the adpatper I bet.
The likely most easiest?
Run down to any computer or office store and pickup a powered external USB hard drive that's the same size or larger then the old Mac's boot drive.
Boot the old Mac and download Carbon Copy Cloner.
(or use the TimeMachine if it asks, but it takes a reallly long time and if there are problems, then it's harder to recover files from)
Format the external drive in Disk Utility with Partition: option GUID and OS X Extended Journaled (default setting)
Use CCC to clone OLD A boot drive to External Drive B, takes about a few hours depending how much stuff you have.
Hook up drive to new Mac, (either clone or TimeMachine drive)
Use the free Migration Assistant in your Application Utility folder to transfer over, but creates a new user account (you can later delete one)
Or if you haven't set up the new Mac yet, when you do set it up during that process, you can transfer from the External Drive B and it won't have the account you set the machine up with naturally just uses the ones from the clone or TimeMachine drive.
Once your fine and dandy on the new machine, then Disk Utility erase and use the external USB to create either a bootable clone with CCC or a TimeMachine drive for backup.
Since you need a backup drive anyway, this method is better and happens to be reliable and easy.

Why does the web look TERRIBLE on my new Retina display?

The new retina display is fantastic, but browsing the web looks horrible. Can anything be done to improve the web browsing experience?

Most websites are designed to look good on low end computers, typically with a resolution of around 1024x768.
Our retina macbooks have such a high resolution display that they basically show the flaws you would not normally see on a low resolution display.Text that is rendered using the mac os system fonts should look beautiful, but low resolution pictures and non-native text will look terrible on any website or application.
There is no real fix for this issue, other than hoping the web in general starts moving to higher resoltuion content in the future. The same problem exists with the retina iPad, and in my opinion, things look even worse on the ipad since you tend to be zoomed in further while browsing the web.

The new retina display from the iphone is just insanity.
but also is the variety of the wallpapers for it very big. but i don't want to choose one of it.
