New router, lost connection to HP printer HP photosmart premium 309g-m

After connecting a new router , my apple macbook cannot connect wirelessly to the printer - HP photosmart premium 309g-m. . THe printer is connected to the same network as the computer - a printout that the printer does after the new network was found   shows the printer is connected to the correct wireless network, but when trying to print it says printer not connected. I have managed to get it to print one or two pages intermittently, but most of the time the error message pops up that the printer is not connected. ANy suggestions please? i had no problems with this prior to connecting the new router.

Hi there @Bibi1405 , welcome to the forums!
I read about the issue you're facing with connecting your printer to your Mac, wireless. I have some steps I would like to suggest to you that may help.
In order, try these steps:
Mac OS X: How to reset the printing system
Repair disk permissions
Restart the Mac
Follow this guide to set the printer up:  Setting Up the Printer OS X v10.7 Lion in for HP Printers
In addition, download this driver: HP Printer Drivers v3.0 for OS X
That should help you connect again!
Have a great day

  • Have a new router, Amped, and now the printer will not print wirelessly from my iMac.

HP Photosmart Premium ePrint Wireless Model C410a.

I just hooked up a new router-Amped. Now the printer will only work with a "wire" and not wirelessly. It worked with my previous NetGear router.
What do I need to do to get it to work?

Your new router is likely using a different subnet than your old router. Go into the printer's wifi settings and make sure it is in the same lan as your router. Follow the printer's wifi set up instaructions.

  • New router not connecting to C7280 All-In-One Printer

I just had to install a new router. Now the printer which has an ethernet cable is not working. I need to change the IP Address manually (I think).  Please walk me through the process.

In this link (message 4) I describe step-by-step instructions on how to setup a static IP but you may just want to go into the menu of the printer and restore network defaults first and see if will automatically connect after that.  You may also have to use a USB cord (some models differ in their setup process).
Let me know if that works or not.  Good luck!

  • Router Lost Connection to the Internet

Ok, my Linksys WRT54G router v2.2 lost connection to the internet today. Right now I am directly plugged into the modem to access this site, for some reason the routing is not picking up the internet connection when connected to the router. I can access the router admin pages through wireless and I cannot seem to figure out what to do. I have done power cycles for both the modem and router in tandem and nothing seems to work. Why is the internet connect not being picked up by the modem? Is there anything I can do? Thank you in advance.

Check the connection first from the Modem directly if getting valid Ip .... connect the router & try this setting ....
Access setup page of router ....
On the main setup page the ""Internet Connection Type"" should be
on ""Obtain IP Automatically - DHCP “. Click on the Save Settings
    button.
Now click on the sub tab ""MAC address clone"".
    - Click on enable
Click Clone & click save settings
Check WAN Ip on Status page of router ....
If getting Valid Ip .... try going online

  • New router - how to change wifi settings for Photosmart B109n

I got a new router. How do I change the wifi settings for my Photosmart B109n?  I changed the PC wifi settings (no problem). I connected the PC (Windows 7) to the printer by USB cable. In the HP Solutions Centre, when I click on Settings / Network Settings, it tries to open a browser (IE9) page, with the URL being the IP address (192.168.2.3), but it goes to the "cannot display" page. Do I need the HP software CD? (I think I've lost it.) The manual explains how to set up (using the CD), but I can't find how to change settings for a new router.

Glad to see that you have everything solved. If you run into any other problems, feel free to ask.

  • Can't connect to wireless printer D110 Photosmart

I've tried several times now to connect to this printer wirelessly - I'm in college and it is my roommate's printer, and she apparently didn't got through the whole process of inserting the cd and going through installation and so on, but is effectively hooked up wirelessly to the printer. Every time I have gotten the same message.
"The IP address (my IP) of the PC and IP address 192.168.181.93 of the printer are not compatible. Turn off the power to the router and the printer. Wait 60 seconds. Turn on the power to the router and then the power to the printer. If the printer and PC IP address are still incompatible, reboot the PC."
I can't turn off the power to the router because it's the residence hall router - dont even know where they are. But I have been through this several time now and just have no idea at all how to resolve it. Ideas?

You need to be connected to the same network as the printer.  Does she have a wireless router in the room that the printer is connected to?  If not, even though it appears you are on one University network, it is likely many networks, all with the same name.  Each of these networks will have a different subnet (like the 192.168.181.X on the printer).  Look at your PC and find its IP address.  The first three sets of numbers will have to match the printer's.

  • No web printing on Photosmart Premium

I have a new Photosmart Premium C309(g-m) installed wirelessly on my home network.  All test pages print fine as do any other document s(Word, Excel, etc) but web pages or emails from my desktop computer do not print.  However, webpages from my laptop (wireless on the network) do.
I deleted and reinstalled the printer on the network (may not have done this correctly at first) but still no web printing from the desktop.
I've been scanning the forums and perhaps it's some setting on my desktop that's not correct?  Please help!
    Thanks!

Why bother with IE 64-bit when IE 32-bit is working fine? It really doesn't offer a noticeable improvement in page loading time or speed, and neither does it make installation of 32-bit add-ons easier. Frankly, I have no idea why Microsoft needed to introduce both of them. Keeping just the 32-bit one OR the 64-bit one and making it work correctly would've been much helpful and created less confusion and problem!

  • How can I install my printer HP Photosmart Premium C310 e-All-in-One printer without CD?

I got it 2 weeks ago, but my laptop don't have CD-drive. When I go to  Software & Driver downloads  and write my type C310b it always open me for type C310a with note:If your operating system is not listed, HP does not have software or driver downloads available for this product in that operating system.
can someone help please? HP have very bad support.

You didnt state what operating system your using so I am unable to give you the direct download link. Here is the link to the 310b driver download page, you just need to select your operating system from the list:

  • Just set up a new router, now I can't print to my wireless printer!

Hi, so I'm really frustrated with this situation since I installed OS X Mountain Lion. I have a Samsung SCX-4623FW wireless printer, connected it to our wifi network (router: D-Link N 300 DIR-632). So it's all good, the wireless light is on so I know it's connected. I even printed out a configuration report to find out the IP address. Now my problem is, when I try to add a printer to my MacBook Pro (13" Inch, Late 2011) using the IP address and the following information:
Protocol: Line Printer Daemon - LPD
Use: Samsung SCX-4623FW Series (from Select Print Software...)
It says: Unable to verify the printer on your network.
Unable to connect to '[printer ip address]' due to an error. Would you still like to create the printer?
And I hit continue in case the error doesn't affect the wireless installation of the printer, I tried to test print a page on the internet and the status message of the printer says: The printer is not responding.
So I reboot the computer, unplugged and reconnected the router AND modem and still nothing. I reset the settings on the printer, new IP address and everything. Still nothing. I can print via USB but I prefer wireless printing because there are 2 desktops, 2 laptops and multiple devices in the house and it's just not convenient.
Can anybody please help? I'm all out of ideas. Many thanks in advance.

Can any Macs in your home see the printer?
That is to say, is it just Mountain Lion that is having the problem?
What I'm wondering is if this is a router problem, or a Mountain Lion problem?  I'm trying eliminate as many variables as possible.
Do you happen to know if the Samsung printer supports Bonjour (eg. Zeroconf) network discovery protocols?  You could download "Bonjour Browser"
    <http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/13388/bonjour-browser>
to see if the Mac can see your printer via Bonjour protocols.
Since you know the IP address of your printer, you could download "WakeOnLan" which will display every IP address is sees on your network, and check to see if it is in the list generated by WakeOnLan (NOTE: I do not want to wake anything up, but WakeOnLan does a really good job of finding and displaying every IP address is sees on the local network).

  • Can't get router to connect to internet - printer

This is not strictly an airport extreme question but I've got a major problem with my mac intranet set-up and hopefully someone can assist:
Until 6pm here in Belgium today my Cable internet system was working fine (the past 2 years!).
Suddenly no internet via my DI-604 router:
System setup: Cable to cable modem, to DI604 router - splits to DI-635 modem /wireless on one side; and other side to asante switch - which has Laserwriter printer, Canon iP4000R printer and other connections for other computers to plug-into the internet.
Suddenly the DI-604 won't work - even when I try to go directly (internet modem to DI604 to MacBook) via http://192.168.0.1 -- and reset it-- nope, won't work.
I do have internet if I just plug the Cable Modem directly to the MacBook
I also have internet if I plug the modem directly to the Asanté switch and then to the MacBook - I can print to the LaserWriter printer with this setup; but not to the Canon; and cannot plug-in the DI635 modem (to the Asanté) and get it to work...
Big mess and really not a clue why this stopped working and why I can't go back to where I've beenfor the past 18 months... Leaving on vacation in 72 hours and would like to have this back to normal before leaving because to have this mess upon my return is a nightmare...
Can I replace the DI604 with an Apple Extreme or Apple ??? modem? I'd still like to have the WiFi via the DI604 which has worked so well the past 18 months-- WHAT IS GOING ON??
Thanks for any comments, suggestions links or whatever.

Can I replace the DI604 with an Apple Extreme or Apple ??? modem?
Yes, you could replace the DLink DI-604 with the 802.11n AirPort Extreme Base Station (AEBSn).
In turn, you can still connect the Asante switch & DI-635 wireless router to the available LAN ports on the AEBSn.

  • I have an HP Photosmart Premium 309g-m all in one that is not printing.

I turned it off and on but the trouble shooter is saying it is turned off.  The wireles connection light is lit so I am at a loss as to what to try next.

From the front of the printer: Setup > Network < Wireless Network Test Report.  What does it say about its wireless radio?

I Have a new wifi router and have set up my iPad / iPhone and wireless printer correctly  to the new router but I can't print from the iPad and iPhone. It keeps saying ' no AirPrint printer found'. Help please!

Start with the most basic thing that you can try. Unplug the router from power for about 30 seconds, and restart the printer and the iPad and plug the router back into power.

  • We installed a new router and changed the name of the router. Now my HP C4500 printer won't print.

Our cable company installed a new wireless router and changed the name of the router.  Now my HP C4500 printer won't print from my laptop.
I can't find any ot the Set Up stuff I used initially.
Is there any way to get my printer to work again...wirelessly?

Get the latest software for your printer from the "Support & Drivers" link at the top of this page.  When you start the installation it will ask what kind of installation you would like.  Choose "Wireless" or "Network" then click "Next".
Eventually it will ask you to plug in a USB cable to the printer temporarily to communicate the new router's info to the printer.  Make sure to not plug in the USB until it asks.
