New SAP update: Operation date in FI docs

Hi gurus,
In order to manage dates according to the law in several countries, e.g, Norm 340 in Spain where it says that operation date have to be in every financial posting relating to a billable service, we have heard that SAP is applying some changes to manage a new date in the FI docs. This date would be so called "Operation Date".
Have you heard anything of this? Do you know where to find additional info about it?

Thanks for your answer, but I still have a doubt to create a substitution, where you say to define the precondition document numbers, what document number are you refering? FI document? CO document?
Can I change the substitution on tcode GGB1?

New InfoObject - update of data in InfoCube

Hi guys,
I put a new InfoObject into the InfoCube. In development system I deleted all data in the cube and after that I load it again (full update). Everything worked fine. The new object was filled. In productive system I can not delete the data from the cube and I tried to load the data as well (full update). After that I noticed that the new infoObject was not filled.
Do you have any suggention why?

In cube system does not change existing data (data already loaded). you have following options -
1. delete all the data and reload
2. Use remodeling functionality on BW7
3. there was one blog on SDN by Dinesh Kumar (looping back cube data), try of that works for you.

How to get new and updated data into LO Excel in Xcelsius

Dear Experts,
I have created dashboard on top of webi report by using Live-Office connection. Latest data of webi report is imported into excel and mapped data with components and generated SWF file and exported into server.
To day my webi report has latest instance with new and updated data. But until unless by clicking "Refresh All Objects" i am not getting updated data into excel.
When i am trying to open dashboard in BI Launch Pad/CMC it is showing data whatever exist in excel(i.e yesterday data). But here we need to show data of latest instance of webi report.(i.e New and updated data as of now).
I have selected option "Latest instance: From latest instance scheduled by" in "refresh options".
My Question & Doubts:
1) Is it mandatory to open dashboard every day and need to click on "Refresh All Objects" to get updated data into excel or dashboard.
2) Is there any option to automate this process.

Hi,
Schedule the webi report to get the latest data from the source. To answer your query no is doesn't require to open the dashboard every time to refresh the excel to get the latest data.
Please use the Refresh Before Components are Loaded: Select this option to refresh the data each time the model loads and to use that data as the initial data for the model (using a Reset Button component, it will reset the data to the values from the last time the model was loaded).
You are using the Live Office so here automatic refresh is not possible without touch the swf file, you need to use the refresh but to get the latest data. If you are using QAAWS, Web Service & XML then automatic refresh is possible.

I am working in Duet Enterprise 1.0 development in SharePoint. At SAP front Query, Read and Update operations have been developed and the corresponding WSDL and Endpoint URLs are generated.
I need to use these WSDL and Endpoint urls and perform Update operation in SharePoint. For this I need to pass the parameters POSCLKey, CorrelationID, ReleaseCode and PONumber for the update operation.

Hi all,
Now we are able to pass all the required input data to the update operation
and no errors exist for this operation. But when we execute the update operation, the PO is not getting updated at SAP. But same operation
is working fine from DUET-ABAP. As a test, we executed this operation from DUET ABAP front and generated the log (/iwfnd/view_log) log
has been generated. The same operation when we executed from Sharepoint and when we looked into 14-hive logs, nothing has got generated
for update operation.
Note: when executed this update operation from SharePoint, in /iwfnd/view_log, no logs generated for updated operation.
Please suggest me a way so that I can sort out this issue.

I updated my IPhone 3GS to the new 5.1 operating system and have since had a range of problems with not only my phone but also my IPad.

Programs (Safari, mail, messages) keep crashing, mail will not delete properly (some will keep popping into my inbox again for no reason!!!), slow, settings lock up etc. etc.
This only seemed to become an issue once I updated to ios 5.1 and funnily also affected my Ipad even though i hadn't updated the software yet. I have since updated the software on my ipad thinking it might help too but that only made things worse!! So I am not sure if it's an ICloud issue, but when i try to disable ICloud my devices lock up as well.
The battery life is also shocking!!
I have hard reset both devices, restored both devices, reset the setting and tried a whole host of other suggestions (like closing background programs) on this forum buit nothing works and i am tearing my hair out.
I looked in the phone and ipad log and there do seem to be low memory reports though i don't know why these are occuring now when they never have before??
I don't know if I can restore the old operating system (If I can please let me know how). The phone or ipad are not jailbroken.

but you should have a backup in itunes.
Every time you sync your iOS device iTunes creates a backup. go check if its there, iTunes Preferences >Devices. and there you should see if you have a backup, and in case from which date the backup is.
And ofcourse you can get your icloud data back by just logging in with your Appleid under icloud in settings on the iphone.
But anyway, if the iPhone works when you restor it as new: try adding your backup, and see if the issue comes back. And experiment with your backup and try to work out what is causing the issue, my guess is that its some app! Good Luck!

After updating from CC to new 2014 updates Lightroom would not go from 'Library' to 'Develop' - develop screen was greyed out showing the message 'Develop module is disabled. You simply sync the iPad to the new computer. It will tell you that it is already synced with another one though, and will give you the option to erase it or transfer its contents to the new one. An iPad can only be synced with one computer at a time.
Beware that only your iTunes and App Store purchases will sync. If your iTunes library contained music obtained from other sources, you have to find a way to transfer them directly from your sick computer to the new one.
I hope your new computer is a Mac, a replacement PC will eventually suffer the same fate.

Operational Data Source for SAP OPInt

If I am configuring a business scenario which executes in a non-SAP system which does not generate events or change logs, I understand I need to configure a Operational Data Source in my business scenario.
But, from where do I get access to the data store tables? Do I need to configure a connection to them separately? If yes, how do I do it?

Hello Diptee,
for Operational Data Source to work, you need to grant select and execute authorizations on the schema where your operational data exists.
Please refer to page 62 of the Developers Guide regarding "Grant select, execute on schema <schema_name> to <user_name or role_name>"

I am using SAP identity management 7.1 and ERP ECC 6.0 EHP4. I amanage to pull data from HCM into identity store and create an account in active directory.
I am now trying to update employee data in the SAP ERP HCM system with the email address using Business Add-In (BAdI) Implementation BADI_IDM_HR_COMMUNICATION of BAdI definition BADI_EXTEND_IDENTITY.
I do not know how to call the BADI from SAP identity management.
Can you please help as i need this to finish the user provisioning ?

Iphone won't update to new 8.0 operating system

MY iphone 4 says that it has the latest version operating system but it doesn't.

deleting apps so as to have enough space.
syncing the phone.
updating through i-tunes.
I am trying to update to the new 8.0 operating system. Ideas?

You cannot update iPhone 4 to IOS 8. The highest you can update iPhone 4 is IOS 7.1.2.
If you want IOS8 you need iPhone 4s or later.

Password change issue when updating user data in SAP ABAP system

One of my reconciliation tasks part of the reconciliation job I've created is doing some strange password updates.
As you can see below the task selects all users part of my identity store that are part of the account attribute of the particular ABAP system.
Once these users are selected the task updates different data like username, validto, ... but the task is updating a lot of other things that are not part of the destination tab. What is causing the biggest issue is the password fields that are updated in the ABAP system like, password, productive password, ...
Can you please advise if I missed something and how to solve?

Yes in the ABAP systems they have the same timestamp. No other jobs are running at the same time.
It is only happening to a few users depending on the ABAP system. On some ABAP systems there are only a few users for which the PW is reset and other systems 300.
Example below of a system where I updated all user. In my pass only the following attributes should have been pushed thru to the ABAP system.
However the valid from, accounting number and password have been updated as well.

Carrier updates are provided by your service provider.
Are you talking about the ios update that Apple provides?
If so, then:
iOS 5.1 Software Update
It should delete nothing, but you should always have everything on your comptuer and backed up just in case.
Why would it not be safe?
