  • SDN Blog on What's new in Nakisa 3.0

    Hi all,
Below is an SDN blog I wrote detailing some of the new features and functionality in STVN 3.0.

ah guh suk yuh dutty sket mudda bumbohole battybway!
It's a very helpful post because there is people who come to this forum when trying to decide to what recording software too purchase, and there's also people all over the internet who say that Audition is not better then Pro-Tools and more amateurish when in many regards it is more professional and has a better interface and GUI, especially if you're not doing too many tracks (less then 16 or perhaps more on a high end system). It's multi-track is easy and stays out of your way, has great automation, and some updated editing capabilities and has an excellent mbc that pro-tools does not have (maybe not excellent but very good)..and I believe pro-tools is a cpu hog doing certain things just like Audition is.
So people come to this site and I'm going to tell them the truth that it has been added to nicely since Adobe bought it and hopefully if people buy it will have another update to make the multi-track even better.  It has a few bugs and downsides but so does pro-tools, I think the upsides are greater then pro-tools.
The only downsides are the midi is a bit lacking compared to other programs which have been in the midi-game longer, and that it does use alot of cpu for certain efx, and the multi-track is better in some ways but not as advanced in others in terms of sequencing and arranging, it could improve in that area, loops and stretching loops to match each other then being able to record how you bring the loops in and out in a sequence like ableton but in it's own way then it would rule the world forever.

  • Registering a new technical system in SLD - ABAP based

    Hi friends,
For ,Registering a new technical system in SLD - ABAP based
    I followed the following steps...
    At first
    - went  to the SDL - http://server:port/sld
    - went  to the "Administaton" tab
    - went  to the "Data Supplier Bridge"
    In RFC Gateway
    Server :
    Service :
    What I to give Here...
is it the R/3 System  Server and Service
    Please suggest regarding it...
    With Regards,
    Sunil

    Hi Michal,
Thanks for the Blog. It was really enlightening to find out how the Technical systems are registered. But my problem is not solved yet.:(
I have newly installed a CRM 2007 system, and tried to see the Technical systems AS ABAP and AS JAVA which should be automatically created. But no AS ABAP system was created. So i tried doing it using your Blog.
In the Admin tab of SLD, i did  not find any "Data Suppliers Bridge", but there was a "Data Suppliers" tab. On clicking it, i verified that sld/active was TRUE, and then updated the data in RZ70 and clicked on Activate button. The activation was successfully done, but no new AS ABAP Technical system appeared.
Is there any more configs left to be done? Please help me out with this issue. Thanks in Advance.
    Regards,
    Savan D.

  • ANN: New Technical Paper - Software Configuration Manager and Oracle Forms

Check out the new technical paper
"Oracle9i SCM and Oracle9i Forms Integration" at:
    http://otn.oracle.com/products/repository/htdocs/9iscmforms.html
This paper shows you how to use Oracle9i SCM to manage team development and version control of Oracle Forms projects.
You can also diff and merge FMBs.
More info on Oracle9i SCM - part of Oracle9i Developer Suite at: http://otn.oracle.com/products/repository/content.html

We got the configuration upload to work today and it did show up rather fast on Metalink 3. What we ended up having to do, was to install the software twice on the server once in the c:\sba80\gtwysrvr and once in the c:\sba80\siebsrvr directory.
If you are behind a proxy remember to use the -p parameter when calling setupCCR.

  • Need to create a new technical user in E-Sourcing

    Hi,
We have configured E-SOurcing production(ESP) with read-only corporate
    LDAP.
Now we have to create a new technical user with 'KMAdministrator'
profile in E-Sourcing.. As the LDAP is read-only, we will not be able
to create users in E-SOurcing.. Also we cannot use any other ID to be
    used in the configuration section..
Please guide us about the Best Practices in this scenario
    Thanks
    Thilip Kumar

    Hi Thilip,
There is no way to create KMAdmin user in E-Sourcing if LDAP is only in read only mode.
Ask your LDAP team to create a user for you with limited access and then you can define roles in E-Souring system for KM usage type.
Also you can use any existing technical user present in LDAP.

  • SLD-Bridge / Data Supplier Bridge and new technical systems

    Hi,
The data supplier (data collection process) periodically sends data to the SLD bridge. This SLD bridge provides this information to the SLD.
My question: Will new technical systems be created(!) and updated automatically in the SLD by using SLD bridge??
Or do I have to create new technical systems allways manually by SLD browser??
    Thanks and regards!

How about the "creation" process of technical systems??
I am confused of the idea of the SLD bridge. The idea sounds great to me, but how is the link between the technical systems and all these collected data passed to the SLD realized??
The online documentation is not very helpful...

  • SLD Configuration to New Technical System is failed.

When iam trying to create a new technical system in sld after selecting the product i got this error. Please help me on this iam new to Portal SLD.
    CIM_ERR_ALREADY_EXISTS: Instance already exists: SAP_InstalledProduct.CollectionID="24457af4-fdf7-e5f4-63ac-00f98079457a",ProductIdentifyingNumber="01200615320900001296",ProductName="SAP ERP",ProductVendor="sap.com",ProductVersion="2005",SystemID="STV.SystemNumber.0020620473.SystemHome.stravist"

    Hi,
As per the error - the technical system already exists in the SLD. You could check in the list of existing technical systems if system STV already exists. If you want, use the same entry or else delete it first and try registering the system.
Also, why are you recreating the system manually now? Was there a restore, system copy or any other activity?
Manually creating the is not recommended. Auto register the system to SLD via RZ70 for ABAP or SLD Data supplier in Visual Admin for Java systems.

  • Will there be a new Technical Communication Suite when CS5 will be released next month ?

    Dear Forum,
will there be a new Technical Communication Suite when CS5 will be released next month (April 2010) ?
We are close ordering the Technical Communication Suite 2 - will there be a grace period to get the
new version without getting charged again ?
    Greetz from Europe,
    Speedtriple

    I'm wondering about that too.
I've been stuck before when I bought TCS, then tried to upgrade just Captivate when v4 was released, and couldn't do it.  Took months to get my money back for the CS4 download.
Seems that anyone who buys a suite gets penalized for it.  Surely it's in Adobe's best interest to upgrade users who invested in the more expensive product?

  • How will the Time Capsule support IPv6 and coop with the new emerging security threats that will emerge due to the new technical possibilities that IPv6 provide?

How will the Time Capsule support IPv6 and coop with the new emerging security threats that will emerge due to the new technical possibilities that IPv6 provide?

    Cross your fingers and hope.
Obviously if there is any big or known threat Apple will send out a firmware fix.
But the TC is designed to be end user simple device. It has no firewall that is visible at any rate. I don't know that it truly doesn't have a firewall but it is not part of the end user controls.
IMO if you have major security concerns that go beyond end device firewall, which is where Apple do put most of the security, since firewall in the router is plainly not a stop to anybody deliberately downloading an infected file or website, and most end users.. do not want a firewall that prevents them using the web like a business does, where only certain ports are allowed. Everything else tough luck.. you are not allowed to use it. Then TC is unsuitable for you anyway.. buy a proper firewall appliance.

  • Installing a new technical usage

    Hello,
We have already installed EHP4 on our ERP system. Now we would like to install a new Technical usage. Should I do it again using EHPi tool, and go through all the roadmap steps? Or is there any other way to import them?
    Thanks,
    Ajay

    Hi Ajay,
You can do it via SAINT.
    Thanks

  • Mac Pro first generation can't load Mavericks. What is the technical reason?

Someone I know has an original Mac Pro, from 2006. I know it says that Mavericks requires at least a 2008 Mac Pro. What is the technical reasons for not including older hardware? I understand the points about the G5 and before cannot go higher than Leopard, because they stopped supporting non-Intel Macs. However, the Mac Pro, is an Intel Mac, and of course I know that Apple wants you on newer hardware, but that original Mac Pro is still a capable machine. I would like to know if there is something about what is in Mavericks (and future OSes) that precludes them from installing on older Intel Macs.

That computer has a 32-bit EFI. Mavericks requires a 64-bit one.

  • SDN blog on PI used by SCAM site

    Hello SDN,
I wanted to share some interesting discovery I made recently. I was goggling for how to implement EDIFACT interface in SAP PI (Process Integrator). And found following site:
    http://www.xmlconverters.com/customers/sap-review.html
I read it and found it quite useful, as it described almost full solution to what I need. Still there was one thing that confused me. They were offering to buy some sort of  software for one thousand euros, that I sort of need. Still I could not see in solution how is this software exactly used.
Then i looked in SDN for solution and found this excellent blog:
    /people/ricardoandres.maienza/blog/2007/04/06/edifact-to-xml--stylus-studio-solution
Guess what? That SCAM site has copied SDN blog and replaced:
In detail the objective of this web log is to describe how to process an EDIFACT message inside XI, using “Stylus Studio” solution.
    with
In summary, the objective of this blog posting is to describe how to process an EDIFACT message inside SAP XI, using the “DataDirect XML Converters” solution.
to trick people buying their crap-ware.
    So guys be careful !!!
    Regards,
    Reinis

    It is just copy&paste ;D
That web site says that he is the author.
But I would bet that author himself has never ever heard of this site.
And solution described in blog has nothing to do with "DataDirect XML Converters", whatever they are.
