New Smooth Scrolling issue

I have been able to create and upload several oversized pages with no problem...until today. Today, I have been trying to add
two new articles and the Folio Builder will only load one orientation, not both. I'll start with my _v file, which will upload correctly. Then I'll try to add the _h layout and it just overwrites/updates the _v layout. They were created the same way as the ones that I already have loaded, 768w x 2000h & 1024w x 2000h. They are single page files and each orientation loads correctly. This is becoming a deadline crucial concern. Has anything been updated recently that could have caused this? Am I missing something?
In a slightly related note, the Content Viewer doesn't seem to want to view oversized, smooth scrolling pages in their entirety.

This is a known issue. Use the Import option to import the article. Let me know if you need more details.

  • Blurry letters on websites when scrolling in Firefox 19 (with either smooth scrolling enabled or disabled)

    Hello,
    Just recently I updated to Firefox 19, and since I had some problems when scrolling on websites: some of the lines/letters get blurred.
    I did some online research and found a tip of deactivating smooth scrolling, so I did that, re-started Firefox, but the issue was still not solved.
    I did not have this problem until the recent upgrade.
    Is this a known issue? Is there a solution to this?
    If not, how can I go back to the previous version of Firefox, I can only find download links to the latest version....
    Thanks,
    Lars

    Hi Lars, you said : ''EDIT: could it be that in the previous version of Firefox the hardware acceleration was disabled by default and in the latest version it's enabled by default? ''
    hardware acceleration is enable always in the versions, probably something with Bug 825205 - WebGL index validation fails when a large attribute buffer is bound, that fixed in new version see: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/19.0/releasenotes/
    ''Does this somehow mean I have an outdated graphics card? ''
    you can check it, but if working without problem with hardware acceleration was disabled, for me, leave it as it is. !

  • Smooth Scrolling Pages - Memory Error (while uploading)

    Landscape Magazine Article:
    iPad version is 2048x6144 (4 pages tall, but smooth scrolling). This one uploads without problem.
    iPhone 5 version is 1136x4000. Same layout as iPad, only font sizes are bumped up for readability. Content Generation Error: Out Of Memory
    Happens every time. Isolated now to the smooth scrolling pages that get converted from ipad to iphone. The uploader fails on page 1 of the content generation stage. It's like there's a cache limit while it's building the folio article. What's strange is that this issue doesn't appear on a full-sized ipad version of the same layout. Workaround has been to split the layout into separate pages, which is a comprimise more than a workaround. Anybody experience this? Is there a way get these pages to upload?

    Hi,
    For a better troubleshooting, I suggest you can do as the followings:
    1. You can create a new page library to test if it works.
    2. I suggest you can check the ULS log for detailed error message, it will be easier to figure out the issue. By default, the ULS log of SharePoint 2013 is located at the path:
    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\15\LOGS
    You can use ULS Viewer to see the detailed error message.
    Here are some detailed articles for your reference:

  • Firefox smooth scrolling is sloppy

    So I updated to the latest version, which is 33 iirc. A few days since, I've been getting the reoccurring issue of smooth scrolling being sloppy. It doesn't lag at all, but it is noticeably not as smooth. Only way to revert back is to click on my mouse wheel to scroll up or down with, or open a new tab. But it's only temporary and soon goes back to being sloppy.
    I've had issues like this in the past with previous versions of FF. Also, whenever I put my PC in sleep mode, wake it up and start up FF, it'll perform the same way as well.
    It didn't used to do that before, so I'm confused as to why it's doing this. I very rarely install extensions or add-ons.
    It's kind of hard to explain since I can't obviously show anyone exactly what it's doing, but it's still kind of annoying.
    Thanks for the help!

    Hello,
    Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration. Since this feature was added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there still are a few glitches.
    You might need to restart Firefox in order for this to take effect, so save all work first (e.g., mail you are composing, online documents you're editing, etc.).
    Then perform these steps:
    #Open Firefox ''Options'' window (''Preferences'' on Mac or Linux) as follows:
    #* Click the menu button [[Image:New Fx Menu]] and select ''Options'' for Windows or ''Preferences'' on Mac or Linux.
    #In the Firefox Options (or Preferences) window, click the ''Advanced'' tab, then select ''General''.
    #In the settings list, you should find the ''Use hardware acceleration when available'' checkbox. Uncheck this checkbox.
    #Now, restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.
    Additionally, please check for updates for your graphics driver by following the steps mentioned in the following Knowledge base articles:
    * [[Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems]]
    * [[Upgrade your graphics drivers to use hardware acceleration and WebGL]]

  • Smooth scrolling with macbook touchpad

    I've noted recently that, when using both the synaptics and mtrack touchpad drivers, two-finger scrolling moves in small increments, as with a mouse wheel, rather than in one continuous motion like in Mac OS X (where page movement follows finger movement more closely). Is it possible to use the latter behavior rather than emulate a physical mouse wheel?

    I have a Macbook 11,1, the new 13" Retina. I'm currently running the mtrack driver, but synaptics experiences the same issue. My 10-mtrack.conf is as follows:
    Section "InputClass"
    MatchIsTouchpad "on"
    Identifier "Touchpads"
    Driver "mtrack"
    Option "Sensitivity" "0.6"
    Option "ButtonIntegrated" "true"
    Option "ButtonMoveEmulate" "true"
    Option "Sensitivity" "0.7"
    Option "ClickFinger1" "1"
    Option "ClickFinger2" "2"
    Option "ClickFinger3" "3"
    Option "TapButton1" "1"
    Option "TapButton2" "2"
    Option "TapButton3" "3"
    #Option "TapButton1" "0"
    #Option "TapButton2" "0"
    #Option "TapButton3" "0"
    Option "ThumbSize" "35"
    Option "PalmSize" "55"
    Option "DisableOnPalm" "true"
    Option "IgnorePalm" "true"
    Option "ClickTime" "25"
    Option "ScrollDistance" "60"
    Option "ScrollUpButton" "5"O
    Option "ScrollDownButton" "4"
    Option "ScrollLeftButton" "7"
    Option "ScrollRightButton" "6"
    EndSection
    I'll try the edge scroll and see what happens.
    EDIT: A fresh synaptics config sort of gives me smooth scrolling. Aha, I can still see the increments if I scroll slowly, but they're much less noticeable. I could work with that. However, synaptics does not (as far as I know) have the capability to ignore my thumb resting on the bottom of the trackpad, causing unwanted clicks. Can I get that functionality in synaptics?

  • Smooth Scrolling has stopped in Google search but only Google search, how can I fix, thanks

    There are scrolling 2 modes in Google search as far as I know one which I have always used which is smooth scrolling and the other where it jumps to the next site individually. Somehow after an update or something Google search on Firefox has stopped smooth scrolling. I also use safari and google search still smooth scrolls there.
    Anyway in advanced smooth scrolling is checked.
    If you are able to help please let me know.

  • Datagrid smooth scrolling...

    Hi Alex/ All,
           That  was great job. You have implemented smooth scrolling for List..  Based  upon that I have implemented the same in datagrid also..But I am facing  couple of issues...
        1.  I have Item renderer Text..  With in that text I am displaying almost 90 records and it has a huge  height. Accordingly the row height must change .. But what happend in my  case is the data is overlapped on the second row.. the row height  changes to certain height. after that it is not expanding.. records are  displaying and overlapped on the second row and if it still lengthy it  displayed on the third row also... so How can I solve this issue.. The  row height must vary with the itemrenderer..
    2. Second  one is If I scroll vertically it is scrolling smoothly fine. But If I  release the mouse the scroller going to Row end position or row starting  position..
            I just want to fix the scroller position where user releases the Mouse from the vertical scrollbar...

    Renderers must report a correct measuredHeight based on a given
    explicitWidth.  You may need to override measure() method.
    If the rows are so tall they don't fully fit in the DG, there may not be a
    simple solution for MX DataGrid The Spark DataGrid should be able to handle

  • Smooth scrolling on a horizontal page - how did Benjamin Moore do it?

    Hi,
    I'm trying to work out how Benjamin Moore did this (in their COLOURSTORIES Canadian Version). We're looking to do something similar (Different content on the horizontal and vertical formats), but can't work out how Benjamin Moore managed to get a scrolling horizontal page.
    The screen shot is below:
    We're looking, if possible, to have the horizontal and vertical versions of each article smooth scrolling.
    Is this possible?
    Also, is there a static URL for the features & bug fixes for the most recent release? I'm finding that even searching the forum thows up "This is fixed in the new release" without any reference to what the release is (v21, v22 etc). T'would be a help!
    Cheers,
    Simon.

    Thanks Bob - my problem was not realising the "Scrolling direction" relates to the orientation of the orientation of the articles, and not as the name suggests the scrolling direction. Another fact stored in the noggin for future use

  • I have not found any answers yet to solve this problem. Smooth Scroll Auditions CS5

    I used to used Audition 3 and when recording or playing back the recorded wave form would be smooth and when it reaches the right hand edge of the screen it just smoothly continues. I have updated to Auditions CS5 and I cannot get it to do the same. It seem to jump back to leave more room instead on continually scrolling. In the preference option there is no option I can see to change this. The only option shows Playback but this seen to also just jump back to leave more room.   Any idea where the setting it so make is smooth?   Thanks in advance

    Hello Ryclark..     The playback is the same as record.  Unlike AD3, when the waveform gets to the right had side of the time line it JUMPS back to make room for the continuing recording where the recording is longer than the width of the screen.  After an online chat with Adobe support ( who do not seem to know how their software works) , in the end they said that the new feature was for the Cursor and Waveform to Jump back to leave room for the continuation of the recording....unlike AD3 which smoothly scrolled the waveform.  It is a step backwards and looks like a novice attempt...  So if anyone wants to know if there is a solution to this backward step the Answer it NO. It is a new Jumpy flow layout.    Seems like Adobe are getting like Microsoft,,,

  • Smooth Scrolling Doubts

    Hi, people
    I'd like to understand better how works the feature Smooth Scrolling. Because when I create a big page, ie: 1024 px (width) x 3000 px (height). This page, now, is portrait in Folio Builder, instead of landscape (1024 x 768 px)
    I have many problems to create big pages and in most of the case I recieve this mensage error, when I try update the article.
    Content generation error.
    [Error: The page size aspect ratio must match the folio aspect ratio.]
    In my last tried I managed upload one layout (1024 x 3000 px) like Portrait - worked well. But when I tried upload the Landscape (big page too) - 3000 x 768 px I didn't get.
    I know that is possible have just one page (each orientations) per article, that's right?
    Thanks a lot for some help

    Thanks, Levine
    But, even change the name to _h dosen't works. Just Vertical
    Please, read the mensage from Bob - Adobe about alike issue
    Bob Bringhurst
    Smooth Scrolling is vertical only. You can’t use  Smooth Scrolling to scroll a page horizontally. You may want to use a  large scrollable frame, but leave a little room to let the user swipe to  the next article.

    Will be that Smooth Scrolling is vertical only?? If there are three  diferent options in articles subnemu in Folio Builder Panel.

  • Smooth Scrolling made clear and easy

    A new folio appeared in Bob Bringhurst's jewel app "DPS Tips", discussing all kinds of special content and interaction. In the Smooth Scrolling section it states that you cannot create Smooth Scrolling articles simply by "Adding" an article. This should be achieved by "Importing" Articles. And it specifically states that you can't create horizontally scrolling articles. This baffles me ! I know it can be a bit tricky, but when explained and understood carefully, there's no problem in using the "Add" button or even to create a horizontally scrolling article on the fly.
    The tricky part is, how the InDesign file (an article's half) is 'born'. To be able to use the "Add" button to create a properly scrolling article, you must check that the Document Setup upon making a new file (or even later on) is set to the proper single-page size (in a 3:4 dimension) and with the desired orientation (landscape or portrait), before you hit the "Add" button. Because this is where the Folio Builder gets its information from about the dimension and orientation. Afterwards, you set the page's length with the Page Selection tool – but take care: ONLY the length ! DO NOT use the width or orientation properties with this tool, nor use the Height setting in the Document Setup, although these seem very obvious for this task. You can even correct a page afterwards, and get the "adding" right (and lengthen it properly) if it has been malformed and unaccepted by the Folio Builder before.
    So, to conclude: start a scrolling page with a single page, normal size (1024x768), landscape or portrait, add it to the Folio, and then lengthen the page with the Page tool's Height setting. Don't forget to set the Smooth Scrolling option accordingly among the Article's properties in the Folio Builder panel. No big deal !

    That's indeed the culprit: when you have already set the elongated landscape page upon New Document. But it's still easy to correct that afterwards: switch it back to 768 in Document Settings (the cropped content becomes invisible but remains in place), aAdd the layout (it will become the landscape version), and stretch the page to the desired length with the Page tool's Height property.
    Both methods can be difficult, depending on the way you prefer to work. Visual designers who already find it hard to keep track of a Package folder will shiver upon seeing the rigid hierarchy of a Folio folder; technical users won't mind preparing a folder stucture like that. Using ADPS requires many more unlogical steps than just this, like updating a design (not at folio or layout level, but only the whole Article) or discovering that one missing or extraneous orientation prevents the folio to be previewed.
    So either way it is fishy...
    But I'm glad that this aspect will be tackled by an update, soon !

  • FF 13 - Smooth Scrolling is too fast

    What entries in about:config should I change to slow down Smooth Scrolling?
    And where can I find a documentation of thoes new entries?
    Thank you.

    Firefox 10 has changed the scroll amount for the keyboard navigation UP and DOWN keys to 3 lines.<br />
    You can set the scroll amount for the mouse wheel via mousewheel prefs on the about:config page, but you can't do that for the keyboard navigation keys.
    There are extensions that work both for the mouse and the keyboard to set the scroll amount, but they can only be set to scroll an amount of pixels and not to scroll one line regardless of font-size (height) of the text.

  • How to make SMOOTH scrolling with Jtable in Swing automatically ?

    Hi All,
    I'm coding for a price board program, with all records I designed a table for them. So now I want to scroll automatically for all records on that table for customers viewing them. The problem that I can make it scroll smoothly ! Currently I use this block code :
    Thread scollTable;
    int scrollCount = 38;
    public void scrollTable(final int records) {
    if (scollTable == null) {
    scollTable = new Thread() {
    @Override
    public void run() {
    try {
    while (true) {
    if (scrollCount == 38) {
    jTable1.setRowSelectionInterval(scrollCount, scrollCount);
    scrollRowToVisible(scrollCount, jTable1);
    Thread.sleep(4000);
    jTable1.setRowSelectionInterval(scrollCount, scrollCount);
    scrollRowToVisible(scrollCount, jTable1);
    Thread.sleep(1000);
    scrollCount++;
    if (scrollCount == records) {
    scrollCount = 0;
    Thread.sleep(4000);
    jTable1.setRowSelectionInterval(scrollCount, scrollCount);
    scrollRowToVisible(scrollCount, jTable1);
    scrollCount = 38;
    continue;
    } catch(Exception ex) {
    if (!scollTable.isAlive()) {
    //scollTable.setPriority(7);
    scollTable.start();
    public void scrollRowToVisible(int row, JTable table) {
    Rectangle cellRect = table.getCellRect(row, 0, true);
    Rectangle visibleRect = table.getVisibleRect();
    cellRect.x = visibleRect.x;
    cellRect.width = visibleRect.width;
    table.scrollRectToVisible(cellRect);
    The problem I think the progam can not run smoothly with scroll :
    scrollRowToVisible(scrollCount, jTable1);
    Thread.sleep(1000);
    scrollCount++;
    Any helps,
