New Software issues (no iMessage & home screen issues)

I updated today, however, I don't have imessage and the camera button is not on my home/lock screen. Should I try reupdating it? I want all of the awesome new features!!!

Try reading the manual... it addresses both issues.

If the sign does not go away it has not completed the restore. So you are incorrect when you say it "keeps completing the restore" if that message is still displayed.
Do you get an error message? If so, what is the error number?

Apple TV , new software issue

Just downloaded the new software , Apple TV no longer lets you resume playing or start from the beginning , programs also stop while watching and take you back to the main selection screen

I still update my software so it can't be jailbroken. Jailbroken ATV require much older software than 6.1 and an update wouldn't be tolerated. Additionally, I have a ATV 3, I didn't mention that earlier, which isn't amendable to being jailbroken.
If no one else is having a similar problem, I can withdraw my question and try to address it. Thanks.

My new Journe touch has no home screen

Please help I have just bought an journe touch and it has no home screen all it says is
Toshiba leading inovation. Im a thicky but help would be good.
Also I have been reading that it has a reset button - I cant find it.

The Firefox home screen "Different by design" keeps popping up even after disabling it in preferences.

About a newer software update?

I'm been so intrigued at the Software that is gonna run on the Ipad the Iphone OS 3.2 software. As apple told the people who attended the apple keynote last month, that Ipad will run the same software that Iphone/Itouch uses. I been seeing a lot Internet chattery about the new alledge 3.2 software that might be released to the more portable deivces( like the Iphone/Ipod touch).Specially of newer upcoming features that the 3.2 software might add like: home screen wallpaper background; few changes in the calendar & contact applications. And a more teasing feature support for wireless keyboards.
Has anyone seen any news about that? I'm eager to see what upgrades softwares might bring for the Itouch......

Anyone who is working on the new software version is working under a Non-Disclousure Agreement and isn't going to be allowed to comment. Anything the rest of us could say would be speculation and rumor which is prohibited under the terms of use of this forum.

Email Notification on Home Screen

Hi everyone, todays N97 problem appears to be as follows..........
After going through half a dozen email clients i finally went back to the default one installed in the phone and for the past 4 days i have been using it without any problems what so ever. Today though, after recieving a new email, i retrieved it from my inbox, read it and deleted it (phone memory) as i have done previous days. Todays problem seems to be that the new email notification on the home screen is still there after deleting the last new email. Even after i mark all the emails in my inbox and delete them and then re-connect to my inbox they appear again, this has only started to happen as of today.
Ive seen in other forum posts that this cant be de-activated? How can this be the case if i have been using the client for 4 days and im only having this problem now? Its a notification, so technically of course it can be removed or stopped.
Please please please help with this solution, the only one i can find at the moment is switching the handset on and off which isnt a solution what so ever.

exactly.. This was very unwelcome.. I undrstand the contact bar widget has limited space to put everythin we want.. But in shortcut bar home theme y did they remove email notification.. Tht was very unwise..
Moreover we should be able to choose what we'd need on the home screen.
Moreover the Contacts bar home screen widget takes an awful amount of RAM! Abt 5-6MB i guess.. Lets see what v60, as rumored, has to offer..

Adding buttons to the home screen?

Does anyone know if it is possible to add two new shortcut buttons to the home screen. One for 3G and the other for bluetooth as i am constantly turning these on and off to save battery life, and to go through settings and other tabs is time consuming. I would really appreciate anybody's help in speeding my time up!

Issue in usability of Microsoft lumia 535 - Behavior of Key '- ' , on bottom right corner of home screen, is ambiguous.

I am new to this forum. And I may have incorrectly raised my concern here - over the usability aspect 'Microsoft lumia 535' mobile phone. Please help - to forward my concern to the correct forum in that case.
I faced issue in using the key '->' on bottom right corner of phone's home screen (scroll down on the home screen to use the key). Clicking the key '->' should ideally take to the screen to it's right where all the applications are listed. As per known
behavior of earlier phones of the lumia series like 630,525 etc.
However, the behavior is ambiguous, sometimes the click on '->' takes to its right screen, and sometimes it refreshes the home screen. And sometimes there is no impact of the click. The behavior is thus improper and provides bad experience in using it.
Earlier I thought this defect is specific to the phone I purchased, but further I analyzed other 'Microsoft lumia 535' - and the same issue was observed in all the other pieces of lumia 535.
Please let me know, if it is issue and is already known, or if the behavior is intentional then what is the reason for the same?

My iPhone 6 is randomly clicking on links in apps and clicking on things on my home screen all by itself. Has anyone else had this issue?

i've been noticing that while I'm on apps such as Facebook or Instagram that my phone will start clicking on people's profiles, liking posts, or clicking links unprovoked. I thought maybe it was a problem with the apps, but I started noticing it happening whike sending a text the phone will click on suggested words by itself, and even if I'm just on the home screen apps will open on their own. Is anyone else having this issue? I've restarted the phone several times and the problem seems to have gotten worse. I don't know what's going on.

Restore the phone as new and see if the issue persists.
This is typical of a phone with a bad touch screen so you may need to bring it in for service.

Help software issue: Settings General Pops me back to home sreen

I had to delete and reinstall Good for Enterprise software today since the program was acting up. My company recently changed the IT policy which requires us to enter a password when we un-sleep the phone and log into the Good app.
I have encountered the following issue: when I try to access the General menu under Settings, the phone pauses for 2 seconds and jumps me back to the home screen vs taking me to the General menu (i.e. I can't access the General menu).
Does anyone know how to fix this? Appreciate it, thanks.

I went to Settings>iTunes Store and logged out. Now I can watch movie trailers.
However I can't log back in. It reports Cannot connect to iTunes server at this time.
So the issue must be with iTunes store rather than my network or ATV.

I've tried re-setting and restoring - neither made any difference - and looking for answers in this forum.
Out of warranty. Apple will replace it for £62 but not sure whether its worth anything really.
does this indicate a hardware problem (i.e. screen tapped hard one too many times) or is it conceivable that it may be a software issue? I am fairly brutal with ending the Apple-related processes on my pc - when my ipod is not connected - since they gobble memory, though they sprout back annoyingly.

If you have tried resetting and restoring then your iPod has a hardware issue.
Apple does have a battery replacement program that can get you 10% off the cost of a new one if you take into an Apple Retail store.

Iphone 4; Software Issues RE: Home Button, Voice Control & Calls

Two days ago my iPhone 4, with the latest operating system, has been having a series of problems;
- The home button has stopped working
- Voice control activates independently
- Voice and Facetime calls have been connected by itsself, even though it is just sitting in lock mode on my desk, not connected to my computer or even WiFi.
I have restored the phone to its factory settings, this did not fix the issues.
Does anyone know of to fix this or if this is a software issue that can be handled by the apple store.
I have had the phone for under a year.

Safari/Mail icon home screen reset moving issue

I ran into an interesting issue earlier today when I was resetting the home screen layout of my iphone 4S. I attempted to move the safari and mail app icons out of the bottom tray (while the icons were "wiggling") and for some reason they would not come out. I hit the home button to stop the icon wiggling and attempted to move them again. No go. The phone and message icons moved out without an issue, but safari and mail would not.
I shut the iphone off and turned it back on and re-attempted it. This time it worked.
How come I am unable to take and move those two icons off that bottom bar right after doing a home screen reset? Anyone else experiencing this issue?

My brand new MBP (Lion) has a great time for a while, but then freezes with three alarms sounding.    (see pic - I also have video if people want to see.)
The Apple Care people "have not heard of such a thing", have been very helpful, but believing it to be a software compatibility problem, have given me some assorted solutions to try. They mean well.
I run Adobe CS5.5, Filemaker Pro 11, Microsoft Office 2011 and Firefox.
I have deleted StartUp items, (same result), in fact, almost every day I have had the computer home, this has happened.
I have backed up with Time Machine and erased the entire HD, downloaded and clean installed Lion.   Three and a bit Gig later, the same thing has happened, with no software installed except the Lion system software.
This is clearly NOT a software issue and I need a solution very soon. My company purchased this interstate.

That's the strange thing.   Trying to run the Apple Hardware Test after a reboot with 'D' pressed and it ignores the request.
Solution found.    It was bad RAM chips.
Chadstone Apple Store in Melbourne replaced the chips and turned it around for me in under 20 minutes.
Very impressed.   Running like a trooper now.   Thanks Apple. Confidence restored.
