  • New Illustrator Patch Coming soon?

Since I updated Illustractor CC the other day, I haven't been able to open it.  Using Mac OS 10.9.
I've seen all the threads about font issues and such.  Moving Verdana to System fonts folder hasn't helped.
Does anyone have a fix for this?  Or is there a new patch coming soon?  This is kinda slowing me down.
    Thanks.

  • New Macbook Pros coming soon?

I read an article on a german site claiming that new MBPs will soon come out since the differences of actual models to the new MBs are simply too small. Since I just ordered a 17" MBP, I was wondering if anyone had an opinion on this matter.

I'm enjoying the MBP I got.
The fact that newer models or revisions are being released doesn't really bother me. But if I would have seen a black MacBook when I was shopping I probably would have gotten that one.

  • New MacBook Pro line coming soon?

I am days away from buying a new MacBook Pro 13 inch, but wanted to see if anyone heard rumors of new MBP's coming soon? If so, are there any upgraded features worth waiting for?

I would highly recommend holding off if you can, from what I've seen from several sites is that the new MBP line is within the next month, three at the most. The refresh should include some decent new technology. I would do a google search on "macbook pro rumors" if you want more speculation regarding what may or may not be in the next line. BTW, seriously looking forward to the refresh of the MBP line.

  • A new improved iPod Touch coming soon?

There are a lot of websites speculating that there will be a new iPod Touch coming soon, possibly with GPS and a camera?
    Can anyone shed anymore light?

Not here since this is (a) a user-to-user forum so no one really knows for sure and (b) when you agreed to the Terms of Use to join here among the things prohibited is "speculation".
You might try http://www.macrumors.com or AppleInsider.

  • What new laptops are coming to Best Buy soon (June or early July)?

Anyone have confirmations or rumors of what new laptops are coming soon to BestBuy?

"Markus" Please read my comments below
That is the exact news I was hoping for. I had one of the 3 blue label laptops with the Intel Wireless Display (Dell 1569). I Loved everything about it, except it was garbage. I had 3 of them. First one, the Media Center crashed and GeekSquad couldnt fix it, second one came with a squeaky mouse button and they replaced it again, and  for the third and the worst one. The Wi-Fi card actually burnt and melted the bottom of my laptop plastic (left an indention of my finger print on the bottom of the laptop. Thank goodness, even though the laptop was 2 months old, the manager gave me a full refund in the form of a gift card.)
So, I am basically looking for the same exact type of laptop, but would actually be reliable. The Dell had the Wi-DI, an I5 processor, lighted keyboard, and a lot of other extras. Should we expect to see something compariable coming in that time frame that you mentioned?
Also, not to question your timeframe. but from looking at Intels website, it stated that the 3 blue label laptops that came with the WI-DI (Intel Wireless Display) would start to be at Best Buy stores by January 17th and with them having a 6 month exclusive contract on that technology. Wouldn't that mean that there would not being any new Intel Wireless Display Technology laptops until atleast June 17th?
Lastly, any new laptops coming in that timeframe or a little later (a couple weeks or so) that would be equipped with Nvidia Optimus graphics card? As I read and saw a youtube video showing that the Nvidia Optimus graphics card actually work with the Intel Wireless Display Technology.

  • How to create SEO friendly, responsive "Coming Soon" page? [was:Help please! I am very new!]

    Hi Guys,
First off, this is my first post, and will be one of many, as the Dreamweaver bug his bitten, and bitten hard!
I am new to web design, and am learning Dreamweaver and want to become a web designed after hours as a second job/hobby.
I am currently (unsuccessfully) working on getting a "coming soon" page up and running.
I would like the image to be scalable - however then all my text goes everywhere. I cant have it as a image as then Google doesn't index it, as well as i need to have a hyperlink in the body of the text.
If someone could point me into the right direction, I would be forever thankful!
    I have attached the code:
    <html>

Does anyone know if there will be a new version of iLife coming soon?   Actually I'm only interested in iPhoto.

  • New Version Coming Soon

I heard that a new version of iWork is coming soon. Since I need to purchase 26 cpoies, I want to wait until the new version comes out. Anyone have any info or heard any rumors regarding a new version?

    Lawrence,
Apple is notoriously tight-lipped about software updates, so anyone who asserts they know something for sure isn't to be believed. That won't stop us from extrapolating data from history, though. Apple chose MacWorld San Francisco in 2005 to release iWork '05, and MW SF in 2006 to release iWork '06. It's probably a safe bet that they'll release iWork '07 on January 9th, again at MW SF.

  • New MBP coming soon?

Hi, im not entirely sure ive posted this in the right section so apologies in advance.
Basically i am considering buying a MacBook Pro in the very near future, if not before then definitely by christmas, however i am being slightly cautious because i've had my fingers slightly burnt twice recently...i bought an iPhone 3G in May, a month before the 3GS was announced. Then i bought a 24" iMac in August, and now rumours surface that a newly designed iMac is due imminently.
I know this isnt Apples fault lol...but it was still frustrating nonetheless knowing a bit more patience on my part would have got me something even better.
what i want to know is, can anyone tell me if Apple are known to release certain hardware updates/revamps at specific times, is there a tentative time of year where for example we can expect updated MBP's, or is it purely guesswork?
if i buy a MBP this year, am i likely to get stung with a newer version getting released within a few months?
    Thanks in advance.

In the end it's about what you want the technology to do. Will the tool do the job? Do you need it?
There's loads of new tech enhancements coming, such as USB 3.0, Sata III, the i7 processor etc. etc. Apparently there will be a replacement to USB and displayport based on optical fibres but who knows how quickly they'll be picked up or even when the products that use them will be on the scene in any great numbers.
Because of power use, i7 wont be used in laptops in it's quad form but rather its dual core configuration. The likely enhancement will be power usage over Core Duo. That's some time off, since Apple currently uses NVIDIA graphics and system chips and i7 is very expensive. You'll be able to buy a USB 3.0 express card if you ever need one - there's one out already. But hey where's that USB 3.0 hardware?
It's likely that the above might become attractive after 5 years of life from your new MBP. In which case why not just buy it and use it. I replaced my Powerbook after 5 good years, repaired it and let a friend's brother have it for more use. It still holds up next to my new machine. I intend for this machine to run as long. Better to make your own plans about how long you use your tech than feel compelled by the latest and greatest in my opinion.
