New Sub-Forum?

Is it just me or does anyone else feel it's time for a new sub-forum? Possibly entitled Ringtones/iTunes? It seems the iPhone Phone sub-forum is being clogged with all the Ringtone (mostly) and iTunes (compatibility) questions/issues? Anyone agree?

I put in a suggestion on this to Apple last week.

Safari on the iPad/iPhone is different enough from the desktop versions that it deserves its own forum. Questions about iPad Safari are considered off-topic in the Safari for Mac forum. Can we have a new Safari for iPad/iPhone forum?

we have started this with FCR and based on the response we can extend it to all other products as well. We can create sub topics also to ensure its more organized.
We need some good volunteers for moderating the forums.

  • Is there a need for a sub-forum focussing on PI Sheets, XSteps, etc.?

    Hi,
during the last XStep-Café session the question was brought up why there is no separate forum for topics like:
    - PI Sheet
    - Work In struction Sheet
    - XSteps
What do you think? Would you prefer that these topics are discussed in SCM-PP or should there be such a new forum section? How should it be named?
    Regards,
    Arne

    Hi,
thank you for your many positve replies. It seems that the creation of a new sub-topic is hard te get approved by the SDN responsibles. However I have created an own blog on this topic with a lot of useful information. There is no real forum functionality yet but I might add that in the future:

  • Can't log on to new sub-account

Like others here, I am unable to access my email account through the BT site. I set up a new sub-account 2 days ago and each time I try to log on, I get a message saying that there is difficulty accessing my Yahoo account (I thought I had BT account) and to continue by using the Yahoo site. When I go there, I get messages saying it doesn't recognise my address/password, which BT presumably did. If I follow the forgotten password route, it asks me a security question (where I was born) which wasn't one of the questions when I set up the new sub-account. Can anybody suggest a solution, please?

    Hi completebeginner,
Thanks for your post and welcome back!
Sorry for the problems you're having logging into your emails.  Try this link - BT email login page
If you still can't get logged in post back and we'll take it from there.

  • How do I set up a new sub group email on the macbook ?

I will begin by freely admitting that I am not computer literate...I switch on and use. The present email has been in existence for so long I can't remember how it was set up, think the laptop did it by itself.
    The problem...
I want to set up a sub group email address for the small club that I am treasurer for and then use this so members can pay subscriptions via paypal.
I followed the yahoo instructions to set a new email address and this was OK, the address is shown at the foot of the my account page on yahoo as the only sub group. ISP is BTinternet.com so that uses yahoo.
    Easy so far.
    Remember opening sentence !
How do I set up my existing email page to show when a message has been received on the new sub group email. I use macmail on a macbook , not PC outlookexpress. In other words, how do I open/access/show this new email on the macbook ? I don't want to compromise the existing email set-up, just have a 'secondary' or 'sub group' account.
    Thanks
    Brian

Yes, you just setup another account in Mail, on the Second page where it has Description you need another Name in there than the Other one has.

    They do now.

  • Separate ABAP sub-forum for ABAP HR developments?

    Dear Moderators
Can we have a separate category under ABAP for ABAP-HR developments?
This would be helpful for many ABAP-HR issues to be addressed at the earliest and also search a solution in the relevent forums only.
    Please give it a thought.

    Moved to suggestions & comments.
    This request has some history:
    Separate ABAP-HR Forum?
Moderators cannot decide that, it's up to SCN administrators. I believe they want to see enough demand for a sub forum before creating it, and no good arguments against.
Personally I'm undecided. We don't have sub-forums for all other SAP modules. I know HR/HCM is technically different in some ways, but don't know enough about it to really make a call.

  • I am new this forum.

    Hi alll,
    I am new this forum.
I have a JTree that allows mutliple selections. I need to iterate through each of the selected nodes and do some processing on them. I thought I'd add them to a hashMap. Unfortunatley, I'm having trouble getting at the nodes themselves. looking back at a similar problem I tackled a while ago, I got round it by using tree.getLastSelectedPathComponent().
I can't generalise to get at all the selected Componenets though.
I can get at all the selected paths though. Does this help ? Can I get at the node, from its TreePath ?
    Cheers,
    Kate

    Hi katedamond,
You can get a node from the path using TreePath.getLastPathComponent().
It will returns the node at the end of the path.
I hope this will help you out.

  • Cannot open sub-forums

From the acrobat.com forum I'm trying to do some self-help but every sub-forum I select generates the message "Not authorized to view the specified forum 2182".
I'm an acrobat.com subscriber and according to my browser I'm signed in -what do I need to do?
    Bruce Campbell

Good point.  I believe that when I went to post I was offered a menu of sub-forums in which to place the post - I think I asked the question at the "acrobat.com" forum "root level."
But maybe it's been that I wasn't looking hard enough.  When in the acrobat.com forum I would click on one of the subforums on the right side and immediately get the error message noted above, appearing above the list of sub-forum links.  The FAQ topics did not change but it is possible that I was indeed "relocated" to the sub-forum of choice and the "Trending Questions" were changing.  At first glance I assumed they hadn't - that they were just trending discussions in the acrobat.com forum.  I did not notice the little "more" button on the bottom of the page which just took me exactly where I wanted to go.
So I probably was navigating properly but with the non-changing FAQ section and the error message popping up I guess I felt I was just not getting off the ground.  Thanks for your help - off to ask more questions now!

  • Creating New Sub-Folders on Inbox when connected to Exchange 2007

I am trying to figure out how I can add/create a new sub folder to my main Inbox using Mail 4.2 (1078)in Snow Leopard.I was able to do this in Entourage 2008 but can not seem to be able to do the same with Mail 4.2. Any help or clarification here would be great! We are looking at moving away from Entourage and updating all our Mac users to 10.6.3 and are currently testing the functionality of Mail 4.2. We connect to an 2007 Exchange Server.

I'm not sure what you mean by "create a sub folder in your main Inbox". If you mean you want to create a folder (aka Mailbox) in your Exchange account, just click the "+" button at the lower-left corner of the Mail window, select New Mailbox, set "Location" to be your Exchange account, and name the mailbox as you wish and click "OK".
If that's not what you mean, please post back and clarify.
    Regards.
