New sync error message (phone locked?)

Yesterday I started to get the following error when plugging my phone into USB to sync and charge:
"iTunes could not connect to the iPhone "(name)" because it is locked with a passcode. You must enter your passcode on the iPhone before it can be used with iTunes."
I've never had this problem in 6 months of use. Even if I let the phone re-lock, entering the code doesn't resolve the issue, and the iPhone doesn't show up on iTunes (although it does resolve iPhoto's similar error and allows the phone to be recognized).
What's happened and how do I fix this?

1. reboot computer.
2. reboot iPhone (not just turn off and on but do the reboot method)...hold BOTH home and lock button...keep holding...IGNORE the slide to turn off and keep holding. Only let go once you see the Apple Logo.
Unlock phone.
Connect.

Sync Error message reprocessing in MI server

In MI 2.5 server, all sync error messages with staus I-Error need to be resolved manually and then reprocessed.
Errors are generally data issues(Equipment type mismatch etc).
In MI 7.1 , there are better data monitoring and administration capabilities. Is there a better automated way in MI 7.1 where by some of the I-Error status messages could be corrected and reprocessed based on some defined logic and rules.

Hi,
custom services plugged-in in the message flow can be used to correct the fields of the message during the processing.
Since your requirement is to modify the message only incase of errors and during re-processing, the custom service has to be a little more intelligent than just modifying the data ..like reading from DOE monitoring data to figure out whether that message failed and is being re-started which is possible as far as i think.
In tcode sdoe_wb on selection of your SCV.,expand the data object and inturn the flow definition tree. Choose the flow where you wish to add a custom service. Press create button in right panel. Give FM or class method. Save it and generate your data object.The message body and the message header is available as parameters in the custom service , there are some specific places where a write service could to be placed and so on..
You can also refer the sample custom service SDOE_SAMPLE_CUSTOMSERVICE class shipped by SAP.

The iPad is not capable of sending an SMS message so texts, pictures, etc., must go through iMessage. The destination device must be registered with the Apple servers by turning on iMessage. Therefore, the user with the iPhone must enable it for iMessage.

I have deleted and re-entered every recurring calendar entry. This has not solved the problem.
I sync on 2 computers. The deskop computer using BB Desk Top 7.0 syncs fine. The laptop using BB Desk Top 7.1 does not sync. 2.5 hours wasted.

I have just learned that that error message is generated by an appointment in your BlackBerry Calendar with a recurring start date prior to 01/01/1900. So, either delete all BlackBerry Calendar items and resync or find the one entry that has a date before 1900.

HELP! NEW 3G Error message when syncing to itunes

Has anyone ever seen this message? I just bought phone today, tried to sync for 1st time with just updated itunes and apple software and I get this message:
"APPLE MOBILE DEVICE HELPER HAS STOPPED WORKING!" The iphone icon will eventually show up on the left of iTunes, but does not sync or link. I cannot click on the phone icon to adjust any settings, its as if iTunes recoqnizes it but it does not fully register. I have removed itunes and all apple software twice from my computer and have re-installed it all! Still does not work! Been on hold with Apple for support now for an hour! HELP PLEASE!!!

That sounds like a Vista Error message to me. I've received many "stopped working" messages for different programs and it is phrased just like that when Vista is having difficulty. I would make sure that you're logged on with an account that has Admin privileges. I run Vista on one of my machines as well, and I've learned that it can be real picky about things, and admin rights is one of them when it comes to running certain programs. Sometimes simply right clicking the program and opting to "Run as Administrator" will do the trick.

Help syncing my new ipod - error message - please help

Hi I am needing advice and help.
I have a full library full of songs. I had always been able to sync my old ipod with all my library songs.
I have just purchased a new ipod and tried to plug in the new ipod to load all my library songs on to my new ipod, but only a few artists are getting loaded - only artists that start with a & b is going across. I get an error message when trying to sync the songs on to my new ipod.
The message I get 'attempting to copy to disk'new ipod' failed. An unknown error occured(-69)'
I am wondering step by step and in detail how I can make sure that all my songs from the library are on my new ipod. only a few artists are transferring across.
The thing is my old ipod when syncing is fine and all songs go across! no problem at all. I still have to charge the old ipod as its still in use and it is the same ipod that of my new ipod - the 30gb video 5th generation.
It is very fustrating as I have given my partner the other ipod so they still have full songs when they plug in to sync and when I plug in to sync I only get a & b only, we both use the same computer, same model ipod, same library and my ipod doesnt sync so i dont know why?
Please please help. I really need very detailed and step by step instructions of how to sync the new ipod and make sure all the songs of my library are on my new ipod.

i am trying to sync my ical calendar to my iphone.
i repeatedly get the same error message " can not sync calendar because phone has disconnected during sync" even though my phone is def still connected as i see it in itunes.

That disconnection has something to do with your calendar database, and something in there that the sync process doesnt like. Take a look at this thread:

After the new iOS update on my phone, my iTunes on my MAC will not sync. The error message I receive says I need to update iTunes, but it's already updated to the last version and there are no updates available when I go thru the iTunes menu. HELP!

Apple fans. Don't fret. I struggled with this since Saturday when I got my new phone. im pretty tech savvy with a background in computers and I'm a mechanic by trade so i generally know how things work and figure out anything. After trying everything you all have probaby tried as well I did some comparisons to my wife's phone. I paid all three of our cars to her phone easily. One is a Honda hand free link, the other a Hyundai sonata system and the last a pioneer aftermarket Bluetooth with streaming,avrcp etc. after her iPhone 6 128gb connected and worked flawlessly, I narrowed the problem down to my phone specifically. It's not the phone, it's not the ios8, it's not your car. It's your settings. All I did was reset network settings and bam. Problem fixed. You see I messeed with a bunch of stuff in the beginning trying to avoI'd data overage and must have turned something off by mistake. Another theroy I have is my iPhone 5 setting were copied over in the process of migration and they were maybe incompatible with the iPhone 6 itself. Either way post back and let me know if this helps

Issue:    I have 2.
            First, Uncaught exception: java.lang.nullpointer
Details: Every time I reboot my machine (which is often do to second problem), I get this error message. The solution involving removal of my contacts and re-syncing is a problem since my current software isn’t allowing me to sync the address book in the first place. (I have no idea why.)(See below for software type and version)
Second. Screen locks up at various times. (With nothing consistent in cause)
            Details: I have not been able to find any rhyme of reason for this problem. The only thing that seems consistent about it is that placing my phone in my back pocket, even for a few seconds, will cause it to lock up. That being said, it will lock up at any time, during any program usage, or none at all. I have had the alarm go off in the morning only to find that the only way to stop the alarm is to pull the battery.
            I have removed virtually every app from the device. The problem, so far as I can tell, was not timed in relationship to any software install to begin with, but I was hopeful. Let it also be said that I am pulling the battery to reboot my phone a minimum of 3 to 5 times daily. Last week it went for almost 2 days without a problem and then it started right back up. Sometimes I will have to battery pull to make a phone call and do it again to stop the phone call. It is that unpredictable. And frustrating doesn’t even begin to describe my angst.
BTW: Computer is using - Blackberry Desktop Software
Version 7.0.0.43
Any help will be greatly appreciated. One thing I have noticed about the solutions is that they involve a different sync program than what I have so the solutions really haven’t helped so far.

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
From what you describe, here are my thoughts...
1) The method you used, of removing apps to see what was causal, is not 100%. If one of those apps corrupted something in the OS itself, then removing the app does nothing about the corruption. Therefore, the alternate approach is to cleanly reload your OS and leave it clean (no add-on apps, no restored data, nothing!) for long enough to determine that the behavior does not happen. Then, slowly start adding apps, leaving enough time between to be sure about the appearance of the behavior...once it starts, you know the culprit (the app you installed just before the behavior presented). This of course takes lots of time, patience, and good record keeping.
2) Desktop Software 7.x was removed from production due to certain issues. I recommend that you cleanly remove it and replace it with the current production version.
3) Putting it into your back pocket may be causal as well. As a touch screen device, the screen is designed to be active, and perhaps somehow it is being activated, perhaps to the point of causing issues. A proper holster is recommended.

Voice memo won't sync - error message

I have an iPhone 5 and the latest version of iTunes on my computer. I have the setting on 'sync manually'. The first time I clicked sync to transfer a voice memo to my computer an error message came up and it didn't transfer. Now when I click again it's as if iTunes already thinks it has copied the voice memo over but it isnt there. Any ideas? I need this file on my computer urgently.

Manually
Voice memos are saved in a Recordings folder on iPod in the WAV file format. If you enable iPod for disk use, you can drag voice memos from the folder to copy them.
Synchronize
If iPod is set to update songs automatically and you record voice memos, the voice memos are automatically downloaded to a playlist in iTunes when you connect iPod. Once downloaded, the voice memos are removed from the Voice Memos folder on your iPod. To play the voice memos that have been synchronized to your computer in iTunes, select the Voice Memos playlist on the left side of the iTunes window. To play the synchronized voice memos on the iPod, select the Voice Memos playlist in the Music menu, not the Voice Memos menu in the Extras menu.
So that file will sync automatically to your computer with automatic sync selected. You may want to try automatic syncing to get the file from your phone onto your computer if that file is still on your phone. Thanks for coming to the Apple Support Communities!

Itunes wont sync error message this computer is not authorized

itunes will not sync my purchased songs to my new ipod touch, i get an error message that says, "some of the songs purchased cannot be transferred, this computer is not authorized, go to store, then authorize this computer." I have done this over and over again, I have even deauthorized and then RE authorized again and again, I still get the same message. Can someone please please please HELP ME?

I have been renting movies on my MBP and a previous MBP for years, and have always been able to transfer the rentals to an iPhone. I always rent on the MBP and not the iPhone. However due to a NEW authorisation problem recently I have not been able to play these movies through the Apple TV (V2) like I have been doing. Others on the Internet have also started having this problem. I have to resort to airplaying the movie from the MBP over to the Apple TV, which is a royal pain. What's the point of having all this gear in the family room when I have to get up and go to the office and start the movie playing from there?! Anyway, also recently I have not been able to move rented movies to the iPhone. I have tried recursively chmodding the Shared folder as described here

and it didn't help.
So now, if we go on a long road trip or flight, we can't bring the rented movies on an iPhone/iPad. This is a big problem. No I am not going to bring the laptop on the trip. The iTunes library is on an external disk on the LAN anyway.
