Would have liked a raid 5 for media but the Asus X79 does not have enough Sata 6Gb/s the Asrock version has but does not have the SSD Caching port
which I think and hope will work well with the 2 SSD cards. 1 for the OS and the other for the Globel cache for AE (not set up as raid 0)
Maybe down the road I could add a seperate raid card to run 3 extra drives on a raid 5 ?
Any way I would love to your feed back from you guys before I pull the lever on this as all this jazz is pretty new to me. I have built a few systems in the past but
would like to get better on AE. Going this time for ease of performance and as little bottlenecks as I can and at the same time keeping it simple.
Cheers
Murph I am no expert as this
Found this on  Adobe TV  How to optimize AE for High Performance. It made the most sence to me.

  • New System Build feedback/advice, please...

Time to build a new WorkStation. My motivation for upgrading is that I have been using a mediocore laptop (i7m, 8gb, 250gb ) from my work as my home system for the last 2 years, I am starting to get more freelance coming in and need a good desktop.
I am not so sure about my processor, mother board and video card choice. I am more interested in app usability than absolute throughput and want to maximise my dollar investment.
    Purchase date: this week
Budget:  I'd like to stay close to $1000-1300, but can spend more for significant performance gains. As I do more  research, my inclinations are trending higher.
System Usage: My primary uses will include photo editing with Lightroom and Photoshop, 3D graphics using 3D studio Max, Maya and Mud Box, HD video editing using Premiere and After Affects and  Web Design. I will also use it as an HD media player and hifi audio is important. Maximizing cs6 performance in premiere & pShop is my main target. I am focused mainly on user experience while running these apps. If I need to encode hrs of video or crank out frames in max/maya, I can do it at work. I seldom run games.
Monitors: I'm running two Dell U2410's IPS, calibrated w\Color Munki, one portrait one lanscape.
Parts to Upgrade: Full system build
    O/S : Win7 Ultimate, I might play with Ubuntu/Virtualization
Vendor: Newegg unless I can save big $$ else where. I like B&H.
It needs to be an Intel machine & I have chosen lga 2011 becuase I'll eventually go to 64gb. I'll do some modest overclocking.
Any advice is appreciated. Thank you for your expertise.

Do you have any feeling about how much I'll gain by going to the 6 core cpu over the 4 core? Remember, for me usability in the cs6 apps is more important than marginal gains in throughput.

I have picked the MSI motherboard due to its support for 128gb ram, superior audio and other high end features. The AS Rock for its rep for solid value/performance. Opinions?
Finally, I would like some advice on video cards. I prefer nVidia to ATI, but I'm not sure which chip to go for. The six fifties are cheaper, but the 660 ti provides more CUDA cores.

    Alex,
I sure wish you would quick picking fights with lots of knowledgeable people just trying to help people build good PCs for running Adobe Premiere. (I am stating that based on not just this thread, but rather the strong challenges you seem to bring to about half of the threads that you've chosen to participate in).
I was the original poster to suggest that Neal select a larger case. Next Harm agreed and cited 6 points which I would agree with regarding why a larger box is better for a video editing rig.
What are the typical goals for someone wanting a video editing PC? I would expect that most users want:
    - robust, runs and never fails
    - has incredible power; face it, video editing with AVCHD is one of the most taxing applications a PC can face today
    - quiet; who wants to be doing creative work with any server room like wind noise
Now let me be specific where you are simply WRONG WRONG WRONG:
You stated: "Back pressure increases in larger spaces due to natural impedance of airflow (much like with electricity traveling over distance)"
Fact: Exactly the opposite; Back pressure decreases in larger spaces due to more room for the air to flow (much like thicker copper passes electricity with less resistance than a thin wire)
Your stated: "Open non-compartmentalized spaces are a recipe for hot spots - areas of turbulence with higher temperatures." and then cited a server room article talking about cooling air taking the path of least resistance -- going under the floor in a server room, instead of through rack mounted servers.
Fact: Lots of open space for large, slow moving fans to keep a video editing box cool is a great way to go
You stated: "Full towers - in themselves - are worse for cooling"
Fact: That is one crazy indefensible statement!
I seriously doubt that you fully comprehend the differences and importance of thermal conductivity, heat capacity, conduction, convection, and radiation for you to make the statements that you have so far and these are the staples for discussing how heat transfer takes place.
Note to other readers... There are lots of ways to cool components including cpus, hard drives, gpus and memory. I suspect that the noise levels brought by servers and some gamers would be totally offensive to the ambient noise level that you want in the room with you for video editing. Therefore we are left with just a few quiet alternatives: 1) lots of volume at low velocity (large cases, large fans, slow rpm), 2) liquid cooling, and 3) Cases with doors or baffles to keep the sound from a noisier solution from getting back to your ears.
    Regards,
    Jim

  • Lockups on new system! Help!!!

I'm at the end of my rope!
I just built a new system, and I'm having a lot of lockup issues any time I play a game or anything that requires a lot from the graphics accelerator.  I can't even get into a game more than 30 seconds without it locking.  Here's my system specs (all components brand new):
    MSI Neo4 Platinum SLI
    AMD 64 3200
    MSI 6600 GT 128mb PCIe
    Croshair 1G (2x512mb) PC3200
    Enermax Noisetaker 470W psu
    WD 80GB SATA hard drive
    Windows XP Pro
I've tried running the sytem with the drivers that came with the components, and I've also tried running the latest and greatest of all drivers.
I've checked to make sure all components are seated properly, and that all fans and so forth are working.  I've also ensured that the two mem sticks are in the right slots (both "green" on this motherboard).
Since everything is new, everything is a fresh install.
The lock up occurs on every game I try to run that utilizes the 6600 GT, including UT2004, Star Wars:  Republic Commando, and HL2.  In every situation, it locks my pc within about 30 seconds, and I have to shut down the pc and reboot.
My best guess is the power supply.  When I ordered the psu, I THOUGHT this particular one had a 24 pin main connection.  It does not.  I went out and bought a 20pin to 24pin adaptor.  However, after reading in another thread that the last four pins power the PCIe slot, I'm wondering if the motherboard just isn't getting enough power to the video card even with the adaptor.
Here's the specs for the psu:
    Code: [Select]
Model No. DC Output (Maximum Current) Total Power
      +3.3V +5V +12V1 +12V2 -12V +5Vsb
    EG475P-VE SFMA 34A 40A 16A 15A 0.8A 2.5A 470W
      280W
Does anyone have any suggestions?  Is the psu the problem, or could it be something else?  I would really like some help on this.  I've been working on this issue for 3 days now, and I'm about to return all the components and scrap the whole thing.

Hi, I have the same spec as you on my newly built pc (except I have an ATI x850) and i am also having the exact same problem.
My question to everyone is if i try this solution will everything be ok? This is my first custom build, and just like the topic starter, i swear it said in the manual that the sticks of ram must be in the same coloured slot. I don't want to blow anything to bits!
So I just want to make sure everything is ok before i tinker any more with it. This problem is really getting to me as I cannot play any of the kick ass games I bought especially for this new pc.
    THanks for the advice guys.

  • Treo 680 on Vista - Sync trouble when changing from Beta to new system! Help!

I have had my Treo 680 for about a year now. When I got it I found that the wonderful people at Palm never configured it to ruhn on Vista which had already been around for about 2 years at the time. Consequently, I never could use all the features ( certain media, etc.) because I had to run the Beta system. Additionally, the people at Palm told me when I called last year that the error messages I get after syncing were just something I'd have to get used to.
Fast forward to today. I go to the Palm site and I see that Beta has been replaced by a system that works with Vista. As I write this right now, I am in the process of syncing and it is stuck on " sycronizing Date Book". I have already tried reinstalling the new Vista version and re syncing again. What should I do to get this thing to work. For five cents, I'd go buy a new G phone from T Mobile and just switch over via importing data to Outlook which I currently don't use and the be done with Palm, ... but I can't even do that because I can't sync the Palm unit anymore with my PC!!!  Any help is appreciated.

DbFixIt is a database scan and repair program that can be found by doing a google seach and clicking on the first result that appears. It's made by Pimlico and after you down load the trial. You'll need to install it to the device. Unzip it and then double click the .prc file. You should get a message that it will be install during the next sync. Then you need to disable the Calendar conduit. Right click the hotsync icon just the the left of your computer clock. Goto settings, the Applications. Locate Datebook or Calendar (Or both) And uncheck them.
Then try to sync. This will install the program on the device if the sync completes. Locate the program on the 680 and open it. Once it opens click the top left hand corner and select Delete Calendar blobs. Once that's done you can run the Easy scan, it should tell you what calendar events are 'bad'. Then you can fix them manually. If you want to program to fix them automatically then you'll need to buy it.

  • New system build specs -- need advice

    Hi guys,
I posted this on Tom's Hardward and got the go ahead to order parts but I wanted to double check.
I am a non-computer person building a computer to edit a 70 minute documentary movie. I've been doing some research and here is my parts list. I'm looking to order this in a week because I need to get going on this project. I plan on using Adobe Premier CS 6. I looked at a few different websites for this  project and came up with the following. If I've made a mistake, please just tell me what to replace it with (again, this is totally new territory and I'm going on just trusting folks who know this stuff.)  Here is the list.

  • New System Build For Premiere 5.5 Looking For Advice

Hi there, this is my first time on here and it looks like this is the best place for advice.
So I've been tasked to build a new computer for a client for Premiere 5.5. He's running a very basic studio setup and his main complaint is how it takes
such a long time to render video. He told me it takes him about 6 hours to render a 40 minute sequence to MPEG2 standard(this is what he mostly renders as). I did some playing around and it turns out that his current system is relatively good but it uses a HD 6990 as its GPU(which can't even take advantage of Premier's hardware rendering capability!)
Now initially I was going to go the all SSD route with a a budget of about $2500 or so. However, after doing some reading on here, I've decided that this
isn't necessarily the best way. So I will only run the OS of an SSD. Here is what I have so far:
    PROCESSOR:
    Intel Core i7-2600K Quad-Core Socket LGA1155, 3.40Ghz, 8MB L3 Cache
(I will overclock this as much as possilbe with the Noctua cooler)
    MOTHERBOARD:
Asus P8Z68-V Pro Socket 1155 Intel Z68 Chipset
    RAM:
    G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series DDR3 1600MHz (PC3-12800) 16GB (4x4GB) Dual Channel Kit
    VIDEO CARD:
    EVGA GeForce GTX 570 HD Superclocked 1280MB GDDR5 (012-P3-1573-AR) nVidia GeForce GTX 570Chipset(797MHz) 1280MB GDDR5 Memory(3900MHz)
    POWER SUPPLY:
OCZ ZX Series 1000W Fully Modular 80 Plus Gold Certified Power Supply (OCZ-ZX1000W)
    HARD DRIVES:
OCZ Vertex 2 SATA II 2.5" 120GB Solid State Drive (OPERATING SYSTEM DISK)
Western Digital VelociRaptor (WD3000HLFS) 300GB SATA II 10000RPM 16MB x2 (Project Disk Run in RAID 0)
Western Digital VelociRaptor (WD3000HLFS) 300GB SATA II 10000RPM 16MB x2 (Output Disk Run in RAID 0)
    CPU COOLER:
Noctua NH-D14 Six Heatpipe Dual Radiator CPU Cooler
    OPTICAL DRIVE:
    ASUS DRW-24B1ST Black SATA
Now if there are any suggestions, PLEASE let me know how I can improve this build. I really don't want to disappoint the guy, especially if he isn't going to get a great performance boost in terms of rendering time. Considering he can't use GPU acceleartion right now on his $600+ card, I would imagine this should be a better build.
Also, will there be a problem if I run four hard drives in RAID 0 mode using the motherboards onboard RAID capability?

    Photomaster,
I think you are on the right track to speed up this guys system (2600k w/ OC, dual RAID 0) and I second Harm's comment about large 7200 drives being better than the prev. generation VR 300GB drives (HLFS series).
Be aware however that "rendering" does mean different things, and if you are thinking that MPE will increase AME rendering to MPEG2-DVD by 10x you will be very disappointed! Here is the rest of the story...
Timeline rendering, as benchmarked in PPBM5, will indeed speed up on the order of 10x with the addition of MPE using the appropriate nVidia hardware. PPBM5 is a test carefully constructed test that represents how long it takes for Adobe Premiere Pro to prepare (render) a timeline for playback. In actual use, your results will vary. Some timelines may only be sped up by 2x (i.e. very complex and/or using non-MPE effects, filters, etc.) to more than 1,000,000x faster for the case where a non-MPE system requires rendering, whereas the MPE system can play back the timeline without ANY rendering (i.e. simple SD timelines with MPE compliant effects).
Next, full timeline rendering and "exporting" from a Premiere Pro timeline to MPEG2-DVD format are both sped up, but more on the order of 2x. On my fast quad-core system, I'm getting about a 1.8x improvement from MPE assistance using the PPBM5 project for testing.
Finally, using Adobe Media Encoder (AME), and I can only speak for CS5, the MPE hardware does not even come into play and does not speed things up at all. On a positive note, Harm has reported that AME ver. 5.5 ran just over 2x as fast as ver 5.0.3; possibly the newer version is in fact tapping the MPE hardware for this gain?
    Regards,
    Jim

  • Can I clean install a Windows 7 Pro System Builder on a Lenovo PC with Windows 8 preinstalled?

Hi. I would like to clean install windows 7 on a Lenovo PC  that came with Windows 8 core preinstalled. I want to format the entire drive and remove windows 8 and clean install windows 7.  I already tried the clean install of Windows 7 Pro to get all of my drivers in line, and now I would like to buy a Product Key.
Would  a Windows 7 Pro System Builder work in my case? Would it work just as smoothly as a retail version? I understand that the System Builder is an OEM version that includes the Product Key, COA, and DVD) Just want to make sure before I buy the System Builder version of Windows 7 Pro.  Thanks.
    Grazzie
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

that should be retail since it seemed to be used for pc upgrades either way your new system builder key should work. those are called refresh because they re-released them sincea bug was found in thier installers. Do you have any key in the computer atm? or is windows just waiting to be activated?
EDIT: its a good copy look here>  http://www.heidoc.net/joomla/technology-science/microsoft/14-windows-7-direct-download-links
Should you want to use the DVD images permanently, and don't own a product key yet, you can order a Windows 7 OEM or retail version from Amazon. The OEM reinstallation versions contain a DVD with a product key just like the retail versions. They are significantly cheaper, but lack a proper box packaging, and don't include technical support by Microsoft. The OEM key will work with the Digital River downloads, so you can just pick the cheapest one. Sometimes better editions are the cheaper ones, so all of the following links to Amazon offers might be worth checking. I've already tried to find good deals for all editions and linked to them here:

When scrolling through a 50 minute long nested sequence containing 2 layers( one turned off ) of 1920x1080 AVC-Intra 100 P2, cs5.5 crashes.  The source footage is on an external eSata Lacie Raid 0 drive.
I had many an issue like this back in cs4 days with continual crashing with large files but dont remember the solution. I have tried a few searches on this forum but cant seem to navigate the search engine to find anything... This is a brand new system build so I may not have win7 tweaked properly? Thank you for any suggestions.

I know the Zalman 7700 cpu cooler is bigger so may block the first two ram slots as it's tight with a 7000.
The rest of the hardware looks great though I know there's threads on choosing the right ram for the neo 4 in the stickies so check that out. Also the maxtor D-Max 10 might cause a problem not sure. I know people with the Neo 2 had problems.

  • **Help, blank monitor on New PC build with NX8400GS-TD series**

    Hello,
I am having a problem with my new computer build:
    Mainboard : MSI X48C Platinum
    CPU:Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550
PSU: Ultra 650 Watt Atx power supply
    Memory : 4 Gig DDR3PC3-8500
HDD: 500 Gig WD Caviar SE16 ATA 7200/16MB/SATA-3G
    Video Card: NX8400GS-TD Series
DVD Drive: LG 22X DVDRW SATA OEM (L49-1028 OEM )
The problem is that when I turn on my computer it powers on but I am getting a blank screen on my monitor. I have tried removing all devices (HD, DVD Drive) and leave the barebones, but it still does nothing. I know that the monitor that I am using is good because I tried it on a different computer and it works. can anyone please help me out?
    Thanks

There is no way to check the video card without using another video card
Exactly (unless you have have a diagnostic/P.O.S.T. Status PCI Card which will show you each P.O.S.T. Checkpoint that is successfully passed).  You could, of course, also test the card in another system.
    Quote
How do I know if it posts without being able to see the screen?
Usually, you don't.  That is what makes trouble-shooting so hard sometimes.
    Quote
you said to take the video card out to see if it posts, how do i know if it posts if i can't see anything?
You have misunderstood what I was saying.  During the  Power-On-Self Test, the initialization of the output devices happens rather late in the test cycle.
    You decribed this behaviour earlier:
    Quote
ok, i am making backward progress now. before i got it to power up by:
    1) turning on power on psu and then
    2) pressing the power button on the computer case
Now it doesn't even power on and it tries to power up when I only:
    1) try turning on the power on the psu
When I do the above the fans spin for a second then nothing.
These symptoms do not really indicate the video card.  If you remove the card and the same symptoms occur, you can more or less be sure that these problems are not caused by the card as such.  You do not need to see anything on the screen to be able to oberve the power-on behaviour of the systems.
    Quote
    It can't be the following:
CMOS (I cleared it multiple times)
Shorting of the case (I took it out of the case)
CPU (I checked the CPU Pins and it is fine)
Well, then there is other stuff left to check:
    Quote
    - forgotten CMOS Clear (while the main A/C power cable is unplugged from your PSU)
    - shorting issue inside the case
    - a problematic or failing PSU (or: not all power connectors hooked up properly)
    - broken or bent CPU Socket Pins
    - memory problems
    - a bad/damaged motherboard (either DOA (damaged during shipping), damaged during handling/installing (electrostatic discharges, damaged by a short circuit inside the case) etc.)
    - and yes, a bad video card (but this is not very likely in my opinion) ---> If it was the video card, the system should turn on and stay on (the P.O.S.T. should stop during output device initialization) ---> So, this is easy to check:  Test without the video card.  If the system shows the same on/off behaviour, it is not the card causing this)

  • I got a flashing folder with a question mark. I got a new hard drive and upgraded to 4 gigs and can't open anything or reload the operating system? Help?

I got a flashing folder with a question mark. I got a new hard drive and upgraded to 4 gigs and can't open anything or reload the operating system? Help? FYI: I have been using boot camp with windows 7 and started getting a kernal_data_Page_error and it would reboot windows, i was trying to do a chkdsk on the next reboot, but thats when i started getting this issue. I have put in a new hard drive and went from 2 gigs to 4. I can not get the computer to do anything, even the monitor does not show anything now????

    Prep your new drive:
    Drive Preparation
    1. Boot from your OS X Installer Disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button.  When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu.
    2. After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Note the SMART status of the drive in DU's status area.  If it does not say "Verified" then the drive is failing or has failed and will need replacing.  SMART info will not be reported  on external drives. Otherwise, click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
    3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID (for Intel Macs) or APM (for PPC Macs,) then click on the OK button. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed.
    4. Select the volume you just created (this is the sub-entry under the drive entry) from the left side list. Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
    5. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Security button, check the button for Zero Data and click on OK to return to the Erase window.
    6. Click on the Erase button. The format process can take up to several hours depending upon the drive size.
After formatting has completed quit DU and return to the installer. Install OS X.

  • I have followed the instructions to move Thunderbird to a new system (from MAC Mavericks to MAC Yosemite), but none of my emails are migrating. Help!

My inbox is empty. I have even tried pointing the profile to the new folder, copied the old data into that folder, but still none of my emails are showing up. Driving me crazy. Any ideas? What I have done so far:
1: copied the old profile folder
2: created a new profile on the new system
3: pasted the old profile data into the new folder
4: checked to make sure that Thunderbird is pointing to the correct profile folder
Still no emails in my inbox! HELP!!!!

Hi I had exactly the same problem, I don't know if you setup your Apple TV before you subscribed to iTunes I match? If you did then I did the same and although all my songs showed up on my Apple TV none of my playlist did.
This is how I fixed it I went into settings on the Apple TV menu and reset the device back to factory default, I then setup the unit again adding in my iTunes username and password etc, ticked the bix that says turn on I match and then went into music
It took a few moments but it said updating once this finished I checked playlists and all my playlists as per my desktop PC were showing up!
I hope this Helios resolve your problem too :)

  • New PC System Failure HELP!

Hoping for some help here on this one. I just got a new system and when launching the setup of XP it would hand on starting windows setup.
Here is the system I am working on
    MSI K8n Neo4/SLI Mainboard
    MSI Turbostream 450w PS
    MSI 7800 PCIE Video Card
    AMD 64 3700+ Proc
    WesternDigital SATA 74g Raptor
    Sony DVD Drive
    2 GIG's Corsair Value RAM
Sweet huh?! Well I was rather puzzled and unsure as to what the problem was so I did what any tech does and began eliminating the problem. I removed all add on's that came with the motherboard and any extra peripherals went to a base default scheme on the bios and crossed my fingers. Nothing changed. I began dismantling my other box and first thing was first swap hard drives. Now I didnt have an extra RAPTOR laying around so I went to my EIDE drive with XP preloaded and on boot it hung too! I had it do a safemode boot and it hung on a particular file AMDAGP.SYS. So why would this be having a problem loading the AMD AGP Bus Driver?
I began hitting the forums and it says to update this file in the SYS folder to AMDAGPXP.SYSs . Kinda hard when you havent loaded an OS. Any ideas out there what is causing this? And secondly, any suggestions on how to get my PC up and running with XP?
    Thanks,
    Robert

Your board has no AGP slot, yet the existing IRQ's on your new board are set for PCI-e slots, and no programs for AGP are "understood" by PCI-E.

  • "Green Light" to build a new system

I pretty much use all of what CC offers (PS, AI, ID, PR, AR, AU, LR, DW, Speed Grade and Edge Animate).  I am also the Creative Director and Solutions Sales Engineer for my company so I use this rig for more that just Adobe apps (but none are as process intensive as the Adobe apps are).
Ok soa few months ago I was looking to upgrade a few components to my existing system (specs below and thread is https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1661878 ).  As of this morning I have been given the green light to spec out a new build.  I was hoping that I would have learned from my current build on do'sand don'ts but I am solely looking to make this new build a high performance + stable machine and it's hard to not look at just getting the best available .  With that mindset I don't really get to see other areas of possible concern....all I see are specs!
    A few questions:
1 - I think I am sold on the GPU (GTX Titans wee to be the choice of most but correct me if I am wrong).  I am looking to support 3 monitors with either 1 or 2 of these GPUs. If you had the ability to have 2 Titans would you?  Hoe would the Adobe benefit?
2 - I was looking into a LGA2011-3 socket type CPU + mobo but wondering if I should look into Xeon (single or double) approach or an i-series approach.  Thoughts?   Also note I will still have my existing rig so I can convert this machine to do strictly renders if needed.
3 - Since we are talking about CPUs what mobo would you use for your rig?I was already researching the Asus Z10PE-D16 WS board but that is a dual Xeon + DDR4 setup.  Price is insane and Im sure I can spend that money in other places to get better performances.
Its not often that I get this opportunity at work so I would love to build a rock solid, speedy rig and leave myself in a good position to grow with the rig.
    The system is:
    OS: Windows 8.1 (64bit)
    Mobo: Asus Z9PE-D8 WS
    CPUs: Dual Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2670 0 @ 2.60GHz, 2601 Mhz, 8 Core(s), 16 Logical Processor(s)
RAM:  64 GB (32 per CPU)
GPUs:  Maximus Configuration using a Quadro 4000 + Tesla C2075.  Also added a Quadro K2000 later to add an output for a 3rd monitor.
    For HDDs:
    Samsung 830 (500GB) for OS + Apps
1 WD 1TB Raptor Drive for Lightroom Files
1 WD 1TB Raptor Drive for Caching
1 WD 1TB Raptor Drive for Previews
2 WD 1TB Raptor Drive in Raid 0 using the mobo Marvell controller for all media assets
All housed in a Cooler Master Cosmos II case and an Antec 1300 watt HCP Platinum PSU.
    PPBM8 Scores;
Your CPU intensive PPBM8 score is in the top 10% of the current PPBM8 scores
Your GPU intensive PPBM8 score is in the bottom 5% of the current PPBM8 scores
Your Disk intensive PPBM8 score is in the in the lower half of the current PPBM8 scores

So here is my final build. G.Skill did not have a 64 GB kits. I will still have the ability to alter since this is more of a general overview of the system.
    System Build ($7,000):
    MOBO: Asus X99-E WS
