New tabs just say connecting

Hi,
Having an issue with Firefox that I believe started after fixing another issue. We have a proxy in place and every few seconds a user on Firefox would get a message box asking for confirmation to redirect the webpage. I had to go in and disable the auto redirect in about:config to stop the message from appearing and allowing her to do her daily tasks without interruption. I feel as though this has caused a whole new problem now because whenever she ( or myself because it happened on my computer as well) open a new tab it just says connecting and nothing happens. Clearing cookies and cache seem to fix but it does not last. Any ideas? Tried safe mode and resetting Firefox no help there.

There are no malicious extensions. I'm not a computer noob... I can sit there and watch the page try to load. It just states that (for example) waiting for https://www.google.com/ to load. And it never does. If you reread my original statement you'll notice that I said I already tried resetting FF and it did not help.
I'm starting to believe this is just fallout from the Heartbleed vulnerability. Our proxy scans websites the first time you visit and with the vulnerability websites are pushing out new certificates so our proxy must be scanning them again.

Bad idea.
Content bought with an Apple ID is forever associated with that Apple ID. Apple will not transfer content from one Apple ID to another and Apple will not merge Apple IDs. Unless you are prepared to forfeit all the previously purchased content and buy it all again with the new Apple ID, you will need to maintain the old ID to update and redownload your content.

Firefox opens several tabs on startup. These have always displayed the name of the site in the past. But now they just say "Connecting" with a spinning circle... forever. Hard to find the tab I want-

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
*Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

It is also possible that there is a problem with the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.
Delete the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.

If you see files sessionstore-##.js with a number in the left part of the name like sessionstore-1.js then delete those as well.
Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups and all open tabs to get lost, so you will have to create them again (make a note or bookmark them).

Tabs issue uppon upgrade with 4.0.1 just says "connecting" the whole time.

I had the same problem and tried disabling all the ColorfulTabs add on. That didn't help.
The problem was seemingly solved when I removed ColorfulTabs and went to their website and downloaded the latest version.

I installed the version for FF5.
Everything is working fine now.

The other thing to check is to confirm that both you and they have a good wifi / 3G / 4G connection. If it does not connect, stop it and then try again quite quickly. The servers for your area might simply be busy.

You will have to put your iPod into Recovery Mode so that iTunes can restore it.
Note that all data will be erased due to the full restore the iPod will go through.
If you don't want this because you don't made a backup yet, use an external software to save photos and other data.

Clicking on "order prints" just says "connecting" then does nothing ...

I fear that I screwed up somewhere in setting up my 1-click setting and now when I select a photo and click on order prints, it just says connecting then does nothing. It doesn't even take me to the 1-click screen to allow me to change account info. This Apple kb says to reinstall iPhoto 6. Hopefully that will solve it for you.

Ipod touch won't connect to Itunes, Only shows its charging. Screen just says connect to itunes. Won't do anything else.

Ipod touch G4. Daughter turned it off and restarted it and now it just says connect to itunes. When I do it isn't recognized but shows its charging. I've tried different usb cords and a different computer, also tried restarting the Apple Mobile device as it tells me in help forum. Any help is appreciated.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes.
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

You can't remove the Passcode if you can't remember it.
You have to restore the device within iTunes. You want to use the same computer that you always sync with so that you can restore your app data and settings. You can restore with any other computer, but you will lose everything on the iPad.

Disconnect the USB cable from the iPad, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.

Sorry to hear about the trouble with Wi-Fi. Let's get you connecting again. Are other Wi-Fi capable devices able to connect without issue? Go to Settings and touch Wi-Fi. Touch your network and select "Forget." Touch "Search" on the bottom. Once the phone detects the network again, touch the network, enter your password and select connect. Let us know if you get connected.

Are yo both using the same APple ID for FT (settings>FaceTime> You can be Reached At) anbd are you calling the other person using the the same email address or phone number that is listed there on both devices?

Tabs keep saying connecting after clicking yes on message for automatic login from Firefox

Yesterday morning I got this window from Firefox asking something about automatic login and now my tabs keep saying 'connecting'. I don't have the add-onn tabrenamizer installed and eventually did a complete reset of Firefox, but the problem still persists. Could they be windows settings on my computer or is it something else in Firefox?
